4. Mix a teaspoon of salt and turmeric powder in water and keep aside. The turmeric powder gives a beautiful light yellow shade to the banana chips.
5. Using a hand slicer, slice the banana into thin slices directly into the hot oil. The pieces of banana should be about 1mm in thickness.
6. When the banana chips are almost done, add the salt and turmeric water mixture to the hot oil.
7. Using a perforated spoon, remove the crispy banana chips from the oil and place them in a tray or strainer. You can enjoy these chips any time of the day and even serve them to your guests.
