it was nights like these.
when y/n could feel the calm, persistent rise and fall of her husband’s unclad chest pressing against her back. a loving warmth radiates from chan, seeping into her being, and enveloping her entirety in a blanket of comfort and security. the feeling of his fervent kisses he placed against the length of her neck earlier still linger. the couple lay together, limbs intertwined. chan’s right arm hooked under the curve of y/n’s waist; his sly, wandering fingers slithered underneath her singlet and rested against the soft, plush of her abdomen. right then and there, y/n prays for a greater divine entity to make time stand still, so she can continue to relish his doting embrace. her heart swells with utter delight, and a tinge of delirium ー a result of the late hours of the evening that she finds herself awake at.
y/n reaches for chan’s other hand, his arm slung lazily over her hip. she fiddles with the thin, silver bracelet adorning his wrist. the bracelet she gifted him over two years prior - inscribed on the inside plate, a few words: what’s yours is mine. although cliche, the idiom became a phrase the pair often recited to each other.
she chuckles softly to herself, reminiscing on the defining moment in their journey to marriage.
Tumblr media
“honey, please look at me…” chan pleads as he kneels before y/n, who sits on their small couch with an absent gaze fixed to the opposite wall of their apartment. she’s teary-eyed with her bottom lip in a pout.
she continues to stubbornly avoid his eyes. he brings his thumb and index to her chin, guiding her face to meet his. chan leans forward, y/n is drawn to his wide brown orbs that beckon her attention, holding a profound reassurance as they stare back at her. the silent communication between the pair has y/n lurching forward into chan’s arms, nestling her face into his shoulder as child-like wails escape her.
“i-i didn’t think they’d see me. i’m so sorry, channie. i don’t want to break up, but i don’t want them to hurt you. i don’t want th-them to be mad at you.”
the flurry of fears spew from his girlfriend as she clings to his frame, whilst chan consolingly pats her back. everything begins to click in his head. earlier that day, the couple were called to the company, where his manager broke the news of their exposure to the public. an array of headlines decorated the homepages of various news sites, mostly presenting their relationship in a scandalous, negative manner.
y/n was very quiet, and appeared understanding, but on their way home, a sense of distance and tension had begun festering between them.
“baby, you did nothing wrong. they were going to find out about us sooner or later. you mean the world to me. i won’t let anything happen to you. if they’re my fans, they’ll be happy for me.” chan gently affirms y/n as he cradles her fragile, exhausted body.
“up we go,” he announces, tucking his arms under y/n’s knees and around her shoulders to gather her into a bridal-style hold. chan carefully walks them to their shared bedroom, placing her delicately on the edge of the bed. once again, his girlfriend’s gaze is downcast, her shoulder slump with the weight of great sorrow as she sniffles trying to hold back the stinging tears that prick at her eye line.
chan uses this opportunity to hastily rummage through his backpack hanging off a hook on the back of the bedroom door. he's careful to conceal the small velvet box in his pocket. taking a seat next to y/n on the bed, his left arm encases her shoulders and brings her head to rest against him.
“i wasn’t going to say it like this, but the timing couldn’t be any better,” he nervously starts, feebly scratching at his clavicle. chan takes y/n’s left hand in his, caressing the back of her palm, rubbing faint soothing circles in hopes to assuage her anxieties. y/n senses the shift in his demeanour, her breath hitching in her throat in anticipation for the worst; she had a tendency to spiral, and she begins to mentally prepare herself for him to deliver the three dreadful words: “let’s break up-” but he doesn’t.
“let’s get married-” y/n swallowed, her head tilted slightly back to prevent the salty tears that welled up. a volcano threatening to erupt, they began to freefall without a care, her trembling hands cover her eyes as she hurriedly move out of his firm hold.
“i don’t want to say goodbye to what we have, but if it’s for the best, i’ll do anything for you, chan.”
“woah, woah! baby, slow down. retract that, come back to me.” y/n stands in front of him, as the reality washes over her. with her mouth agape, she studies his face. chan’s lips are plastered with a smile, but his brows furrow at the unexpected rejection. he peers at her face painted with disbelief, before breaking into a laugh.
“did you think i was breaking up with you?” his hands reach out to y/n, residing on either side of her hips to position her in between his knees. y/n’s hands come to rest on his shoulders and she doesn’t break eye contact with him. her eyes conveying a message of uncertainty, and chan receives that as a sign to continue his previous spiel.
“no matter what anyone says,” he interlaces one of his hands with y/n’s and peppers several featherlike kisses to her knuckles, “you are my world. your happiness is my happiness, your sadness is my sadness, and your love is my love. i don’t want to face the world alone anymore.” tears again pool in her eyes, not from apprehension, but pure joy and adoration over chan’s heartfelt confession.
“i’m not that special, m-maybe one day you’ll wake up and realise you settled for me over your dream…” y/n was not one to express her self doubts openly to chan, and those words evoke a protective side in him; confident to prove her worth to him.
chan scoffs, “settle? that might be how you see it, but i’ve had the pleasure of knowing you for years, and you’ve only given me more reasons to love life. i’m convinced i’ve loved you in a past lifetime, and we’re reuniting again to continue that same love. let me be the one to teach you all things to love about you. whatever problems arise, we’ll solve them together." y/n grew speechless, hearing chan profess such deep feelings broke down her walls of insecurity, his words were an emergence of light nearing the end of a dark tunnel.
"you are my dream."
chan's gaze holds a degree of fondness that has y/n crumbling into his arms, her knees buckle and she falls forward, pinning him against the mattress. the action alone flusters both of them as they blush in unison, red blooming from chan’s neck all the way up to his ears as a wildfire of pink spans across y/n’s cheeks.
“getting down to business already, mulan?” chan shyly bites, breaking the tense atmosphere between them.
“speak for yourself, i felt that.” y/n abashedly retorts as she straightens herself to stand up, and chan is quick to fish the velvet box from his pocket before raising his hands in the air.
“i'm innocent!” laughter erupts from the pair as chan engulfs y/n in a joyous hug.
“that’s a yes though, right?” he pulls back and y/n nods profusely, “yes in this lifetime, and in the next.”
chan stands, his arms encircle y/n’s waist as he captures her lips with his; molding together perfectly in reciprocal affection and devotion.
Tumblr media
the memory sets y/n’s heart ablaze as excitement courses through her veins. consumed by the need to feel even closer than they impossibly were, y/n untucks his hand from beneath her singlet to turn over and cuddle further into her husband’s hold.
chan stirs, a hazy smile dances on his lips, “comfortable, baby?” he mumbles, sleep dripping from each word.
“always in your arms, my prince. i love you,” y/n replies, reverently pressing a soft peck to his lips.

At around 1 am, you arrived to Chan’s studio. He’d been working constantly, putting himself on the back burner again for work. He said he would be home earlier tonight but you knew it was not going to happen. You told yourself if he didn’t come home by midnight you would call him. If he hadn’t answered but 12:45 you were going to get him. Now here you are finally arriving home hand in hand close to 2.
He was silent the whole way home. Really since you showed up, save for the string of frantic apologies once the shock of your presence wore off. You simply said it was time to go home. Though graciously letting him finish the last thing he was doing, you were packing his other things in the background. The quiet stretched from that point on.
You stop him in the door way as he takes off his shoes.
“Hey” you say casually. “You know I love you right?”
“I love you too.” he looks scared and worried as it seemed to come out of nowhere.
“Well you don’t need to worry so much over it” you say running your thumb over the crease in his forehead to smooth out his worried creases.
His head tilts in confusion, “Hmm?” Did he say something aloud?
“You think I don’t know what’s going on in the big genius producer brain of yours? ‘You make her worry too much. Oh you fell asleep here again she’s probably mad’. That’s you in your head but in an Australian accent.”
He laughs and you smile.
“You need to take that worry and put it into worrying about yourself. I’m not going to leave just because you worked yourself to exhaustion. I’m going to bring you home and love you and take care of you until you can function properly again.”
“I don’t deserve you.”
“I think the same about not deserving you but I know I love you too much to let negative thoughts ruin what we have. I just try and be a little better everyday. For me and you.”
He kisses you with a smile, feeling such adoration for you blooming in his chest. He never thinks he can love you more than he already does, then you go and make him love you even more.
“Now c’mon I was gonna ask you to eat a little something but you seemed two seconds away from a deep sleep even in your studio so let’s just get in bed. We can watch something together until we fall asleep.”
He follows you hand in hand as you lead him to your bedroom, looking at you holding his hand so gently but securely that he hopes you never let go

pairing ||  bang chan x reader summary || chan finds you again, but this time, doesn't let go. genre/s || love trope. fluff. romance. trope || childhood best friends masterlist || stray kids as love tropes mina’s notes ||  the first chapter of stray kids as love tropes! please enjoy ♡
Seeing trainees in the halls of the company building always pulled at Chan’s heartstrings. The memories, both good and bad, flash in his mind. It served as a time that seemed to have hardened him in some respects but in other cases made me incredibly soft when it came to people who supported him during that time, mostly his kids. Yet, he couldn’t help but remember someone whose smile warmed his breaking soul during that time. Still to this day, you crossed his mind, often leaving him wondering if you changed your number or what you were doing these days. It was the late nights when Minho makes sure that everyone is fed that Chan’s mind drifts back to you the most.
˚⁎⁺˳
Chan, your soft voice filled the small space in the studio JYP had given him. Chan hummed in response, pulling his eyes off his computer scene to see you standing at the door, an exhausted look on your face, yet food in your hands. You need to take a break to eat, you smile, the light not meeting your eyes. He knew that you stayed up extremely late trying to nail the choreography for a monthly evaluation. Yet, he also knew that this one didn’t go great for you, while you managed to get the dance, the rap you were asked to do took a hit. This was the part he hated the most. Getting close with people who had the possibility to leave.
Instead of saying anything, he returned the smile of someone who had been his friend since you were both young, motioning for you to come into the space, moving papers on the desk for you to put stuff down. Silence filled the room, with no air of awkwardness, as you both ate the food, Chan looking at his computer every few bites to adjust something. The thing was, he knew that there was always a chance that you would get eliminated as a trainee but there was also something in his chest that was telling him to not put up the walls around his heart for you.
While Chan was nearing debut, having barely dealt with the blow of losing both Minho and Felix, he couldn’t even fathom the thought of losing you too. You were sunshine in the dark clouds that filled his head. A small hope that maybe things will work out. It wasn’t until a week later, when your tradition of bringing him food late at night, didn’t happen that he got nervous. Were you just in the practice room? Taking vocal lessons with Seungmin? Pulling himself out of his studio, he made his way around the building, poking his head into various rooms, having no luck in finding you. It wasn’t until Chan overheard Sana say I still can’t believe they got eliminated to Momo that he just knew without asking, that it was you.
As he made his way back to his studio, he made a small vow to himself to not get close to any of the other trainees, even if he made it through debut, because he couldn’t stand the way his heart was breaking for a third time. Once the door clicked shut, he let himself fall to the floor, burying his face into his knees, and letting the tears fall. A hand landed on his back, moving up and down before a sob rocked his body. He would never forgive himself for not making sure to protect you more.
˚⁎⁺˳
Schedules leading up to MAMA were going to be the death of Chan. He could tell it was also going to be for his members as well. It felt like little things were going to keep going wrong in their rehearsals and the stress was starting to get to them. They just needed one day of things to go right. Just one. Chan knew that getting to rehearse in their stage outfits would help and was relieved when he walked into the practice studio that day to see half the members dressed. Three days left, he reminded himself. Three days then a day of rest for everyone. They could do it. He needed to do it for them.
Struggling to not let his exhaustion show on stage for their ending, he could see Jeongin struggling just the same. Three… two… one…, Chan counted before the lights cut and he reached for his youngest member. Pride swelled in his chest that they were able to pull the performance off and nothing went wrong. Now, all he wanted was to get home, change into his favorite sweats, crawl under the blankets, and not emerge for as long as he possibly could. As he collected his kids and ushered them backstage, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him when he saw someone who looked strangely like you pass in front of him. There was no way. Right? You’d surely contact him if you knew you both were going to be at MAMA. Yet, he cursed himself because he didn’t even know there was a chance you’d be here.
A million questions seemed to be running through his head because Changbin was now dragging him through the halls to their room backstage so they could get a quick rest before going back to sit with the other idols. Would you not tell him you debuted? It’s not that your friendship ended on bad terms, but Chan was always too nervous to reach out to you after the elimination. Did you blame him for it? Did you hold a grudge against him for making it? Lost in his own world of questions and thoughts of you, he was dragged back into reality when Seungmin asked Minho, Hyung, isn’t that y/n? Chan's eyes were then glued to the monitor as he watched your group perform an amazing piece.
Even after your group was off stage, he couldn’t help but be stuck on the way you performed. All the nerves you used to have in the practice room were gone. Now you were confident in the same way he knew Hyunjin to be confident on stage. What felt like pride again was swelling his chest knowing that you were able to reach your dream. His best friend since childhood making a name on stage. You stepped into your calling and didn’t let the terrible moment in your past slow you down, or so he hoped. Chan hyung, we are going to grab dinner before going back to the dorms. You coming? Han questioned before heading back out to the stage.
The rest of the night went on and all of Chan’s thoughts were consumed by you. How had you been? Were you happy? Did you pick up on composing? The memory of the late nights in the studio, your head resting on his shoulder while he explained what he was doing consumed his vision for a fleeting moment. Had you finished that song you and Han were working on? Did you miss him like he missed you? So caught up in his own mind, he just let the motions of the night carry him through. It wasn’t until he was sitting at the restaurant with Han calling your name that Chan snapped back to reality. His members invited your group out for dinner. He couldn’t help the smile that tugged at the corners of his lips when you took the empty seat next to his.
Conversations flowed among the many people gathered around, alcohol bottles littering the table in celebration of the awards won and performances completed. Chan listened intently as you explained to Han and Seungmin what happened after you got eliminated from JYP and how you managed to find the current group you were in. The breath he didn’t even know he was holding escaped although a little shaky. The tension seemed to dissipate when you said you didn’t hold any resentment for the past and couldn’t be happier because it let you to where you are now.
It was when you turned to him after everyone started talking again that his skin seemed to feel like it was on fire when you looked at him. I’m so happy to see Minho and Felix back with you, you whispered so only he could hear. You deserved to have this group, a smile pulling at your lips. Maybe it was the way the familiar feeling of your presence calmed him down while also giving him newfound energy. I’m sorry I didn’t reach out to you, after… well after everything, you continued, I just didn’t know how to tell my best friend that I wasn’t good enough. The smile turning sad as your eyes dropped.
Chan’s hand twitched to reach out to you and tilt your chin up. It didn’t sit well with him that you could ever think you weren’t good enough. For who? For him? Because he knew that you were more than enough to be called his best friend and he would be damned to hear you say otherwise. But we made it, your face tilted up to look at him again. Something about the ‘we’ in your sentence broke something in his chest. That’s all he ever wanted. For you both to make it and settle into your dreams. Maybe it was the way he now viewed you, not the little one who would follow him around, but the confident person that you had grown up to become. In his mind, he reached out to caress your cheek, but in reality, he settled for You’ll always be enough for me.
Both of you were pulling back into the chaos of the conversation between the two groups as the debate on best dramas was in full swing. As Chan saw you smile wide at the mention of a show, it dawned on him what the feeling in his chest had been since he saw you in passing backstage. This time away from you, but always thinking of you, gave him the space to understand that he didn’t want anyone else to fill the space next to him where you used to be. No. What he wanted was for you to be back in the space. Maybe a little closer this time. The crushing weight of the realization that he was in love with you hit him before he even blinked.
Adjusting his position, he moved his leg so that it would be pressed against yours as he moved his chair slightly closer to you as well. His eyes noticed that your hands sat in your lap and before he could even think if it was a good idea, his hand was extending to lacing his fingers with yours. Daring a glance at your face, he could see the pink that dusted your cheeks and the way your smile slowly grew, eyes focused on your intertwined hands. When you didn’t pull away, joining in another conversation with Hyunjin instead, he knew that maybe you shared the same feelings as him. All he knew was at the end of tonight, he would make sure he had your number and would never let you go from his side again.
All the time for catching up could be spent tomorrow in the comfort of either of your places, filling each other in on everything that was missed, including the feelings that were already taking over.

enough for you | poly!ot8 (9th member reader)

you bowed your head with a small - and extremely undeserving - smile as you said your goodbyes to the staff and left your meeting. solo meetings with the staff at jype were always worrying, but this time you wished you had forced one of the boys to come with you.
you had a huge year ahead of you; your comeback being one of the most anticipated of the year on twitter, before your japanese comeback, and then further embarking on a tour. really, you and the boys were enjoying all the free time you had before the workload became overbearing - which none of you could deny it was, despite how much you loved your jobs.
but to then be sat down and given a whole new diet and gym plan? on top of everything else, it was…. hurtful. you were always a little self-conscious of your weight - being the only girl in a group with 8 boys, anything you did or changed stuck out like a sore thumb. but as far as you knew, you were fine. your weight had sat steady since the last comeback, and you were always careful with what you ate and how you worked out.
shaking it off as your manager put a comforting hand on your arm and helped you out of the building to your awaiting car, you assumed that something had changed if the company felt they had to step in. you just hoped the boys hadn’t noticed, and if they had they weren’t talking about it behind your back.
it was a silly thing to worry about, obviously. your boys only ever wanted what was best for you, and you knew that. merely 2 years after your debut, you had all begun understanding each other on a deeper level, and - under chan’s demand - very, very slowly it led to romantic connections establishing between you all. and now here you are, in one of the biggest kpop groups in the world, working and living and thriving with your 8 boyfriends in one harmonious polycule.
during the drive back to the dorm, your manager was kind enough to let you brood in your silence - he understood all too well that you were bombarded with a lot of information to process during the meeting, especially when your small hands started flicking through the folder you were given. a strict meal plan - every meal and snack planned out to the last gram with no room to move. an exact workout guide - how on earth you were going to do this without changbin noticing something was up in the gym, you had no clue. you just prayed that their busy schedules leading up to comeback season were enough for you to keep this from them - the last thing they needed right now was to worry about you too.
when you finally arrived back at the dorm, you were instantly wrapped into a tight hug by a pouting jisung. you giggled softly as he complained about losing mario kart to felix - again - and how he owed jeongin $100 because felix beat seungmin too. he kept mumbling his complaints into your neck as you waddled to the living room, the sight of the maknae line bickering and throwing popcorn at each other being a wholesome and beautiful sight to come home to.
jisung finally released you from his hold, allowing you to squeeze yourself onto the couch between seungmin and jeongin, the latter instantly throwing an arm around your shoulders as seungmin looked over at you, a smile painted on his lips.
“how did the meeting go? we were trying to figure out why they’d call a solo meeting with you, but none of us worked it out.” he asked softly, planting a chaste kiss on your cheek before handing his controller back over to jisung. you weren’t entirely sure how to respond, thinking of an excuse on the spot.
“oh, yeah it went fine. they were just checking what parts of the comeback schedules lined up with my period - after last comeback, they want to try and make that week as easy as possible for me.” you shrugged, knowing the boys wouldn’t ask more questions when it came to that time of the month.
its not like they were disgusted or anything. in fact, they were the most helpful and understanding boyfriends you could ask for. they just never pried, never dug for more information than you seemed comfortable with sharing, and you were grateful for that. especially as you lied. if they asked questions, you were sure you would crumble and tell them the truth. for now, it was just easier to ignore it and join them playing video games.
dinner time that night was your first exceptional challenge. after studying your diet plan in your bedroom, it was suggested that you have a vegetable salad with plain chicken breast and a small portion of sweet potato. it seemed boring and bland, especially with the other meals you were expected to follow. usually, you would follow the boys around the kitchen and see what they were having for dinner - then helping one of them make a larger portion so you could share and eat together. it was so normalized at this point, you’d typically get asked teasingly which member’s meal you’d be planning to hijack that night.
so, of course, when you headed to the kitchen silently and began preparing a completely different meal, a few eyebrows were raised, although thankfully no one asked any questions. they just simply assumed you had a specific craving that night that you wanted to indulge in. truthfully, as much as you wanted to eat your meal in the company of your boyfriends, discussing your days and giggling together, you were deeply embarrassed by the fact the company had put you on your diet plan. so regretfully, you skulked back into your bedroom with your dismal meal and ate in the comfort of your bed with a disney movie playing in the background.
the next morning, you woke yourself up at what felt like the ass-crack of dawn to head down to the company gym. you stuffed everything you’d need for the day into a backpack, silently leaving the door and enjoying the quiet of the early morning during your walk to the company building. the lack of noise and movement in the world was nice, feeling like it had washed away all of your worries almost instantly. every time you saw a stray cat, or a funny street sign, you’d snap a picture to send to your group chat with the boys.
you allowed yourself to send a couple of animal pictures to the chat, assuming the boys would be asleep, and when they woke, wouldn’t notice or question the times that you had sent the pictures. of course, that was a misjudgement on your part, because when the hell did chan ever sleep? as you approached the gym doors, your phone dinged and your heart squeezed at his message.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lying to your boyfriends in any way made you feel sick to your stomach, but deep down you just didn’t want them worrying about you. luckily, your workout went relatively easily - you were quite active and partook in gym activity frequently so it was simply like a higher intensity session for you.
after you had showered and left the gym, you headed down to the company cafeteria for breakfast. your meal plan stated that your breakfast for the day should be a small portion of mandu dumplings and a pineapple and kale smoothie. you savored the food as much as you could with each bite, knowing you wouldn’t be able to get a chance to eat again until the later evening. your schedule was packed, practices upon practices before your evening workout, and as much as you loved your job, you knew wholeheartedly how much the company liked to overwork you leading up to comeback season.
practice seemed to drag that day, your vocal teacher questioning if you were feeling unwell because your energy just seemed completely off during your session together. you shrugged her off, insisting you were just tired, but in reality you were overthinking every single moment of the day. between the lack of food, and ache from overworking yourself in the gym that morning, you just felt exhausted - both physically and mentally.
after you finished all your scheduled plans for the day, you decided to head to the company cafeteria for dinner - it was easier than going home and then heading back out to the gym, in all honesty. you tried your hardest not to finish your allocated meal, thinking if you left food on your plate that you’d feel more accomplished. however, as soon as you got to the gym and began your evening workout, you knew leaving food was a bad idea. nonetheless, you pushed through the achy joints and growling stomach, even beating your current personal best on the stairmaster before you ended your session.
the stress of needing to be a certain weight before your next solo meeting before the comeback had you stressed and pushing yourself harder than you should, so you opted to walk back to the dorms that night rather than calling a car. the next few days were similar - the ache, and fatigue, and sick feeling in the pit of your stomach as you forced yourself into work. staying at the company later, working out at any free time you had, sleeping as soon as you got home without even acknowledging the boys you shared a dorm with. they had slowly started noticing, of course, but it wasn’t until exactly a week after your meeting that things all came to a head.
you had finally noticed in the mirror that morning that you had lost weight - your clothes weren’t fitting how they usually did, and you weren’t even hungry most of the day. the gym had become your best friend, and working out had become so much easier. sure, the fatigue and lightheadedness was slightly concerning, but in your opinion it was worth it to keep your job.
that day, you were scheduled to have a whole-group dance practice in the evening before you all headed home, which the boys were excited for because it meant they could travel home with you for the first time in a week straight. you, on the other hand, were slightly annoyed you couldn’t just sneak off to the gym or make an excuse to stay at the company longer. that day you’d opted to skip breakfast - the idea of eating before a day of work making you nauseous - and instead had chugged an energy drink and some caffeine pills along with your morning vitamins. work was boring, and all day you were itching to just up and head to the gym, or just go on a long walk, but you couldn’t. you were stuck between rooms in the company, and it was honestly stressing you out.
by the time it got to the evening, and you and the boys all met up for dance practice, you were instantly scooped into a hug by hyunjin, giggling as his hair tickled your skin.
“finally! missed you so much, pretty girl. feels like i haven’t seen you for more than 30 seconds lately.” he mumbled against the skin of your neck, the sensation making you shiver.
“don’t be silly, hyun,” you grinned as you pulled away to help him tie his hair into a ponytail. “i’m right here now, not going anywhere.”
practice started pretty quickly after that, considering jisung was running late after vocal lessons, and you quickly realized that not eating that day may not have been your best idea. the haste of your movements had your head spinning more than usual, and you felt like you were tripping over your own feet every two seconds. you couldn’t sworn you were moving in slow motion with everything around you sped up, and no matter how much you tried to shake the feelings off, it wouldn’t leave.
you stepped forward through a wave of your boyfriends, fighting to keep your eyes ahead and complete your center dance for the bridge in the song, but it was to no avail. your heart thudded and you internally cried as you felt your body collapse to the ground, black dots circling your vision and your ears ringing loudly.
the thud your body hit the ground with was sickening to the boys who looked on, minho rushing over to try and catch you since he was the closest. they were fast to carry you to the couch in the corner on the practice room, seungmin practically sprinting out of the room to get you cold water and ice from the cooler in the hallway. of course, they knew you had been acting strange, but they never realized it was something so big or detrimental to your health - both physical and mental.
“she feels lighter… god, how did we not notice she’s lost so much weight?” felix practically wailed, his eyes brimming with tears at the sight of you sickly pale and unconscious in his arms.
“when was the last time someone saw her eat?” changbin quizzed, his frown only growing as jeongin piped up.
“forget that for now, when was the last time she had a drink?”
seungmin had reentered the room by that point, a cup of ice and a separate cup of water in each hand. felix had his hands in your hair, fingers tangled between the locks as he stroked your head soothingly. chan had crouched in front of you, cupping your cheek and softly rubbing the skin with his thumb in an effort to gently wake you up.
when consciousness did finally grace you again, you groaned. your head was pounding and you felt gross, and sticky. you tried to sit up, surprised when felix pulled you back down to lean on him from behind you. it was only then that you looked around and took in the worried faces of your boyfriends and bandmates, instantly flushing red in shame that you disrupted practice.
“i’m so sorry–” was all that managed to escape your lips before seungmin held out the cup of water in front of you, swiftly cutting you off.
“drink. we’ve got ice, too, and jisung has a protein bar in his bag that you’re eating, okay?”
you blanched at his words, sipping the water while carefully trying to decide your next words.
“i appreciate it, but i’m fine. i don’t need to wait, i just need some water and i’ll be fine.”
yeah, that sounded good in your head. not too many details, but enough for them to hopefully drop it - at least, you hoped. but unfortunately, the universe didn’t want to work in your favor that day, as you eyes fell on chan and his worried - but stern - face.
“(y/n)...” he started, and your heart dropped at how exhausted and scared he sounded. “what’s going on? when’s the last time you ate? and don’t lie to me, please.”
you sighed, looking around the room and accepting that the game was up. you just hoped they would understand, and they wouldn’t be mad at you. it was bad enough that disrupted practice, you couldn’t handle your boys being disappointed with you too.
“i…” even just looking around the room at the scared faces of your boyfriends, all ideas of lying slipped away from you. “yesterday lunch time. i had a chicken salad…”
you looked at the floor, too scared to face their disappointed stares as you felt felix’s hand shift from your hair to your shoulder. tears were welling under your eyelids no matter how hard you tried to blink them away, and you knew you couldn’t keep it a secret anymore.
“love,” changbin asked softly for his position on the floor next to chan. “is this why you’ve been going to the gym so much? why are you doing this to yourself?”
you shook your head unable to reply, as you felt chan’s hand on your knee.
“we’re just worried, pretty girl. ther’s no need for you to be doing this to yourself, you know that, right?”
you couldn’t help the way you groaned loudly, all your recent frustration pouring out in that moment. it was like a dam had broken, and you couldn’t stop yourself.
“it’s not me! i don’t want this. it hurts and it sucks. it’s– it’s not me.”
“can you elaborate, angel?” felix asked softly, his breath tickling your ear from his proximity to you.
“it’s…” you sighed, knowing that if you didn’t tell them now, then you never would. “it’s the company. that meeting, last week i– they gave me a diet plan. told me i needed to lose weight before the comeback. i just didn’t want to let anyone down…”
your voice slowly trailed off as you gained the confidence to look up, meeting the distraught expressions of your boyfriends. shock, disgust… anger…. you weren’t sure what scared you more in that moment. really, you tuned out everything that was going on around you, sipping your water in hopes of combatting the thudding in your head.
it was only when jeongin crouched in front of you with his signature smile plastered on his lips that you came back to reality. he hed out his hands to you, helping you stand, as everyone packed their belongings up.
“we’re gonna head home, okay? order in some food and have a movie night, if you want that?”
your eyes leaked again at their concern, the group of you leaving the practice room and headed down to the company lobby. “i’d love that, innie… but where are chan and minho going? aren’t they coming home with us?”
he shook his head as the rest of the members, along with yourself, headed out to the cars waiting for you outside the building.
“they’ll be right home - they’re just going to talk to the staff… make some ‘arrangements’, as channie-hyung worded it.”
you were too tired and mentally exhausted to ask any further questions, allowing the boys to bundle you into the car without a fight. when you finally got back to the dorm, felix and jeongin helped you shower, before you met changbin in the bedroom to help you get dried and dressed for bed.
by the time you got back into the living room, chan and minho had arrived home, but they wouldn’t answer any of your questions - opting to give you the television remote instead as they placed bags of takeout food onto the coffee table.
and thats how you spent the night; curled up on the couch with your favourite boys, enjoying takeout and watching movies. it was perfect, and you couldn’t believe you allowed the words of staff members to take this feeling away from you.
--------------------------------------
oh, and you later found out chan and minho had gone into a meeting room all guns blazing, threatening to sue if the company risked your health the way they did ever again. you were never put on another diet plan after that, and used your experience to speak out about the mistreatment of idols due to unobtainable beauty standards. life was good.

꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎ ꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎ ꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
Pairing: Chan X gn reader
Summary: Chan finds you late at night struggling with the realization that your high school teacher groomed you.
Genre: Angst with comfort/hurt
Word Count: 3.9K
Trigger warning: Grooming, pedophilia, abuse of power via manipulation, mentions of sex, rape, and sexual assault.
A/N: To the requester for this one, I tried my best while writing this. I did quite a bit of research with this topic. This is incredibly heavy stuff. I'm sorry that this happened to you and to the rest of you, if you've ever gone through something similar, I'm so sorry. Grooming is horrible and I wish it was one of the many things that didn't exist in the world. I hope this can provide, even if it's just a sliver, some sort of comfort <3
_ _ _
When Chan came home from work, you were missing. The two of you had shared an apartment for quite a while. You both went half and half for everything. Living with a roommate made everything cheaper.
“Where are you?” Chan called out. He let his knuckles fall against your bedroom door, but there wasn’t a response. Holding his breath, he turned the knob and pushed the door open to reveal nothing.
Your bed was messy and unmade. Your favorite color of bedding was twisted and one of your pillows was nearly tipping onto the floor. A half-smile came over Chan’s face as he picked it up and placed it back in its proper spot.
It seemed like you were missing, until he realized your bedroom window was unlocked. So you must have climbed out onto the roof. This late at night, it was a treacherous and dangerous task, but you still managed.
You managed to find the footholes in the darkness. In your worn sneakers, you scaled up the two story building and sat up on the fired clay. It wasn’t the best idea, but the roof was where you could breathe.
You and Chan came out here at night all the time. When life became too heavy and you needed fresh air, this was where you went. He came out here to come up with new lyrics and song ideas.
It wasn’t often that the two of you crossed paths on the roof. When you did, the two of you sat in your respective spots. Chan sat on the left and you sat on the right. Your legs dangled over the edge and the moon hung high up in the sky.
Dotted with freckled constellations and the occasional shooting star, you were at ease up here. The air smelled faintly sweet and floral from the cherry blossom trees. In your opinion, they smelled better up here.
The busy traffic of Seoul slowed to a crawl late at night. Most of the time, there’d barely be anyone out here. When they drove by, the faint hum of the accelerator and the occasional huff of gasoline or diesel drifted by.
This time of night, it was wondrous. The grass was starting to grow again and this was the first time you had been up here since winter. The iciness and chill made the roof tiles too slick to climb.
On the roof, you let your legs dangle down and your ankles hung off the edge. Chan pried his fingers beneath your window panel and pushed it up. He stuck his head out and reached up.
You stayed still at the sound of stirring from below. Chan climbed up the side of the building and onto his side of the roof. With a groan, he dropped his body onto the cracking tile.
Your eyes briefly darted towards him before they went back and refound the distance across the way. He must have just got back from the studio. He was still in a pair of black basketball shorts and a matching zip-up hoodie.
His calves were illuminated by the white moonlight. He rubbed them a few moments and curled his legs up while mimicking your own posture.
Your legs were tucked to your chest and your arms wrapped around them. The natural line of your mouth drooped down a little more tonight. There was a glassiness to your eyes, as if you were holding back tears.
When Chan realized it, he frowned, but he didn’t want to pry. “Rough night?” He offered weakly.
All you could do was nod without a word. Sometimes reality was like a shard of glass. Swallowing it left your throat hoarse and mangled. It shredded the slippery sides of your esophagus and tore all the way down. The ache and burn left behind was embedded in your brain and it’d always linger like a shadow.
“Wanna talk about it?” Chan offered.
You shook your head and kept your gaze to the distance. If you looked at him, you’d break down and you didn’t want to do that. You wanted to forget about this dark period in your life. You wanted to toss out the memories and let them drift away in the wind; never able to hurt you ever again, but memories are not like dust, they’re much more like syrup.
You can scrub and scrape, but there will always be sticky parts left behind and between the intricate folds of your brain. You can dig and claw, but some memories will be there until the end of time; small annoying bits that are just out of reach.
“Hmm, okay.” Chan slung a hand over his opposite wrist. The two of you sat for a few moments until a dimpled grin stretched across his face. “What if I offered you your favorite popsicle?”
You glanced over at him with a raised eyebrow. He let out a small giggle and reached into the pocket of his hoodie. When he pulled it out, he was gripping the familiar packaging of your favorite popsicle flavor.
That must have been the reason why he came up here to begin with. Sometimes the two of you would get things for one another. He must have been unable to wait for you to come down, so he went up.
“Thank you,” you managed to mumble as you gently pulled it from his hand.
“You can thank me by telling me what’s got you so glum.” He pulled out another popsicle from his other pocket and began to unpeel it. “You know me, I won’t judge you.” He flashed you a reassuring smile before he tore open the wrapper.
“I know.”
“Then what is it?” He couldn’t help himself. He was so curious and he was dying to know. It was an itch that couldn't be scratched enough. “What’s on your mind? Hmm?” He shifted closer to you and took a bite of his frozen treat.
Your lips pressed together and you debated on telling him. The topic was one you had never told him about and it would be a tough conversation for the two of you to have. You sucked in a deep breath before you released it.
“It’s um…it’s quite a conversation. It’s a lot and I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
Chan laughed, “how bad could it really be?”
“I loved him,” you mumbled. Your eyes stayed on your treat while you slowly began to unwrap it.
“Who?”
“My teacher.”
It was slightly melted from where it pressed against the warmth of Chan’s skin. You remembered how warm skin could be. After all, you felt the contact of another human far more than you wanted to when you were younger.
Chan snorted and rolled his eyes. “I loved some of my teachers too. My favorite one was my second grade teacher. What’s the big deal?”
“No,” you shook your head, “I loved him.”
“Like…crushing?”
You sucked in a deep breath and shut your eyes. “It was more than that. It was so much more and there’s a whole story involved. It’s a messy situation that still has me pretty screwed up. I wish he didn’t control me anymore, but…”
You bit your lip trying not to cry. Ever since you found out that the high school teacher, who had groomed you, had gotten married, it was killing you. That was supposed to be you. You were supposed to be the one who married him. He talked about it all the time.
Chan pulled his half-consumed popsicle away from his mouth. With furrowed eyebrows, he took in the distress on your face. His lips puckered together before he went on. “Did something happen?”
“I fell in love with him.”
“Your teacher?”
“And you know what the worst part is?” Glossy tears began to fill your eyes. “I really believed he loved me back.”
Chan stayed silent and attempted to put all the pieces together. The things you were saying weren’t adding up. There was no way you had a thing with your teacher as a kid. No fucking way. He would have known and you would have told him.
He swallowed the lump in his throat and forced himself to speak. “I’m not sure I understand what you’re talking about.”
“It started at the beginning of high school. I had the most amazing math teacher. He was young and he was charming. He couldn’t have been much older than his late twenties. He looked like he walked straight out of Hollywood.”
“The very first assignment he assigned was a get to know me project. He knew I lived with my mom because I mentioned that my dad had been killed in a car accident. I was a kid and that grief was still so new. I was grieving and so was my mom.”
Chan nodded and let you continue.
“And then not too long after that, he’d start asking me to stay after class, so he could help me with a few lessons. It was fine in the beginning, I was just a student who needed some extra help, but it escalated.”
The popsicle was beginning to melt down your hand, but you didn’t care. It oozed across your thumb and caressed your wrist. If you paid too close attention, you could still feel his warm callouses brush against your soft skin.
“And that’s when the touching began.”
“The touching?”
“It was innocent, I swear. He’d come up behind me and began to rub my shoulders while I worked on problems. He’d bend down and whisper his advice into my ear.”
You squeezed your eyes shut. Involuntarily, your body was reliving everything. Goosebumps slipped down your arms and a chill swept across your spine.
“Despite how weird it was, I didn’t mind it. Things continued and he made me feel wanted. Over time, he started to get permission from my mom to bring me home. He used to ask about my dad. Apparently, he lost his own dad when he was a kid, so he knew how it felt.”
Chan felt nothing, but disgust. He wanted to plug his ears and he wanted you to stop. How old were you during that time? Thirteen? Maybe fourteen at the latest? You were just a kid.
“I missed my dad so much and he was so kind. I loved the extra attention. During class, he’d brush an arm against me and mutter an apology. He’d let his hand drag across my desk a little longer than normal as he collected my paper with a smile.”
“I-I don’t know. I just really liked how he made me feel and I know-” Your voice cut off. The lump in your throat sat there like a boulder. “I know it wasn’t right, but at the time, I adored everything about it.”
You wiped an arm across your eyes and kept your fingers wrapped around the popsicle stick with the other hand. Your fingers had gone white around the wooden stick. Reliving all of it was like a knife in the chest.
“There was one day where I was in his car. He started to attend all my sporting events to cheer me on. My mom was sick, so she asked if he could drive me there. I-I know how awful it is, but he asked me if I ever had intercourse.”
Chan’s voice stuck in his throat. He couldn’t breathe. He wished he could wake up from this nightmare. How could he not know about this? How long had you been burying this pain inside?
“And then when I said no-”
His heart dropped.
“He said he could show me, so I knew what to do.”
And then it shattered. His own tears began to creep up in his eyes. You were just a kid, at that age, you were practically a goddamn baby. How dare someone in such a privileged position hurt you like that.
He was a teacher and you were his student. There was a position of power over you. It wasn’t right, it wasn’t fair, and it was morally fucked.
He wanted to throw up. The sweet burst of cold popsicle faded from his tongue. Now the artificial sweetness wanted to make him vomit. He wanted to bend over and throw up.
After a few moments, despite it all, he finally got out the words he was afraid to ask. “Did he…you know?”
When you didn’t respond, he already knew. It crushed his heart. His lungs were on fire and they had burst. An indescribable bright blue rage had ignited. It burned hot enough that it could melt towns and murder platoons of fully armed men.
“Your teacher raped you,” he whispered.
“It wasn’t like that, I said yes and I-”
“You were a child!” His voice flew out stern. “You were a child and he was a teacher! He should have never put his filthy hands on you! That goddamn bastard, I’ll fucking kill him!” The tears in your eyes slid down your cheeks faster. “How long did this go on for?”
“Years,” you weakly got out. “It stopped a few months after I graduated. He said that he needed space. He said it wasn’t working out. He said I-I wasn’t good enough anymore. He said so many things.”
Chan silently did math in his head. He remembered that when he met you, you had graduated nearly a year prior. The two of you were around the same age at the time, but that was years ago. It must have been shortly after the fact.
“And where is he now?”
“Still teaching.”
“I- Huh? What?”
“He’s still at the same school and teaching the same grade. He just recently got married to a girl that graduated a few months ago.”
Chan closed his eyes and tried to focus on calming his raging blood pressure. It wouldn’t help either of you, but he was furious. He probably did the same thing to that girl that he did to you. He probably groomed her too and it made him want to scream and throw something. He wasn’t okay with people taking advantage of others and, specifically, more younger people.
You sniffled and stared out at the distant neon lights. A silence grew between the two of you and you knew you hurt Chan’s feelings. You didn’t mean to, but you needed to get it all out.
“How do you feel about it now?”
You paused for a moment thinking about his words. “I feel so ugly. I feel like I was used and then tossed to the side. I know it sounds bad, but I wish I still had his validation. I still crave it even though it’s been years.”
“I’m really sorry you went through that. It’s a tough situation and you were a kid. You don’t have to beat yourself up over it. You didn’t know and I-”
“But I did know. I knew what was going on and I wanted it to happen. I liked him and it made me feel good. It made me feel loved, so he didn’t groom me and it’s my fau-”
“Don’t make excuses for him!” Chan’s voice went shrill. “He was a grown man and you were a child! You were a baby! You were just growing into becoming your own person and starting high school!”
“Don’t you dare give him another excuse. He knew what he was doing and he knew it was wrong. He should have had the intelligence to stay away from you and never pursue you like that. He’s sick!”
“Y-You don’t get it.”
“You’re the one who doesn’t get it. You’re letting this man get away with this disgusting behavior. What about that girl, huh? What about that girl he married? If another teacher was sleeping with a fourteen year old, would that be okay?”
“No! No! Of course not, but things were dif-”
“You were groomed,” Chan cut you off. Tears streamed down his face. The popsicle was long gone from his hand. Instead, it melted into a puddle on the warm roof tile. “You are a victim in this whole scenario.”
“But I-”
“You are. You are a victim and I will not stop saying it because it’s clear you’ve been brainwashed. You were a child and you didn’t know any better. You were put in an adult scenario when you were a child. You were taken advantage of by a pedophile. Do you hear me?”
Angry tears of frustration poured down his cheeks. He hated that you were blaming yourself for this situation. He hated that you couldn’t see the situation like he could. The grooming had worked on you. So blinded, the truth was skewered in your eyes.
“I will never shut up about it. You were sexually assaulted and raped by a pedophile. You were a child and I don’t care how nice he was. I don’t care if he bribed you with compliments and the affection your life lacked.”
“If you had a fourteen year old kid now, what would you think? If this same thing happened to them? If they came home and announced they had sex with their high school teac-”
“Stop!” You cried as you squeezed your eyes shut. “That’s different! It’s entirely different! Stop it! Stop it!”
“Then tell me what the difference is.”
“The difference was that it was me! I was mature for my age and I-” Your eyes reopened to look at Chan.
The way he was looking at you now, it was killing you. The glassy eyes and the furrowed eyebrows. There was anger looming in that russet brown. The moonlight reflected off them and bounced it back towards you.
You couldn’t help it as your exterior began to crack. Like an egg, pieces of shell were ripped away. Your bottom lip trembled and you struggled to get out the next few words.
“T-The difference is that I just wanted to be loved by a father figure. I-I missed my dad so much and I-” You didn’t get a chance to finish because you burst into sobs.
It was overwhelming as you cried. The stickiness still stuck to your hand. The liquified popsicle drizzled down the clay tiles and dripped off the roof. This hurt buried inside was killing you. You remembered all of it.
You remembered how uncomfortable you were when his chapped lips met yours. You remembered the way his fingers tightened against your hips. Puberty was still relatively new to you and you were trying to grow more into your developing body.
Your limbs were a little longer. There was more weight in places there hadn’t been before. It was only the start of freshman year. You were new to high school and things were much different.
You remembered how much it hurt the first time. How you were left to fend for yourself in a puddle of your own warm blood. A little fearful, you remembered the growing disgust you felt deep inside yourself, but you thought it was normal.
You couldn’t get your innocence back. Society was cruel when it came to such a thing. You weren’t pure anymore, you were infected and diseased. You were as filthy as the rest of them. A fallen angel who had lost their wings.
If your mother ever would have known, she would have lost it. You always grew up being told sexual intimacy was something that happened a lot later in life, but you were so mature for your age. At least, that’s what your teacher said.
He liked the way your body looked. You were young, you were fresh, you were nothing, but a docile little lamb. With your sparkling doe-eyes, you were nothing, but a toy for him.
Your skin was unmarked by anyone before him. You were so young and naive. You were malleable and pliable; perfect for a hungry wolf like himself. The young lambs always have the cleanest and purest blood; they always taste the sweetest.
You wanted love, he wanted pleasure. You wanted affection, he craved attention. You wanted a father, he wanted your freshly ripened body; straight from the vine, you were plucked for him and him alone.
What a perfect and sweet peach that you were. So ripe, so delectable, not a bruise detected on your delicate flesh. And your juice, how irresistible you were.
Plucked from the vine, yanked from the others, and taken a bite out of. When you were old enough, you were tossed to the ground. It was there where you rotted with the other withering peaches.
You fermented a soft sweetness for the flies until you withered brown and green. You withered away in the scorching sun. Your once soft skin writhed and squirmed until you decomposed into the dirt to be walked over again and again and again.
You had never felt quite right since then. You searched for love in the wrong places. You fell to your knees and begged for an ounce of love. Nobody could fill you and supply you with enough love as your teacher had.
He told you just enough to keep you happy. After a while of teaching a dog a new trick, you don’t have to teach them anymore. You grew to learn what he liked and disliked. It was a toxic tornado filled with an improper power dynamic.
He didn’t care about the sticky hands and half-melted popsicles anymore. Chan gently grabbed your forearm and pulled your body towards him. Your shoes scraped along the cracked tile.
Beneath the moonlight, you fell apart as Chan’s hands wrapped around you. Unlike your teacher, his hands didn’t roam your body. They didn’t search for sexual pleasure. He didn’t use your body for his advantage. His arms wrapped around your back and they stayed there.
He soothed you softly and rocked you back and forth trying to comfort you. He had no doubt that you were exhausted. This was a lot to share with anyone and that included him. He continued to rock you and placed his chin on the top of your head.
He’d sway all night if he had to. He’d sing you a soft lullaby and lure you to sleep. He’d keep away anyone who dared to lay a rotten finger on you.
In a few hours, the moon would be replaced with sunlight. He didn’t know what tomorrow would bring. Your sobs began to turn into quick hiccups. He kept his arms around you and quietly cooed.
He needed to find you someone to talk to. Your perception of everything was still warped. The past still had its claws on you. You were still under the illusion your teacher had created. You were a victim, but he was determined to help you become a survivor.
You were so strong. You had hid this from him for years. As your hiccups began to fade away, he gently placed his lips on the top of your head in an attempt to comfort you.
No matter what happened tomorrow, he’d remind you how much he loved you over and over again. He’d continue to show you what real love was. Again and again, he’d show you until one day, you realized what healthy love truly looked like.

warnings: tooth rotting fluff, both idols, profanity, nervousness, and I am pretty sure that’s all! (if I missed something lmk!)
coco’s love note: idea is based off the gq couples quiz videos !! please note that our reader is in an oc group I’ve made :)

[ video preview begins now – our idol couple are shown sitting comfortably in two opposing director chairs ]
Y/N: What’s our contact names on each others phones?
Chan: Oh that’s easy I have her as (he makes quotation marks with his fingers) “Y/N L/N” and in parentheses (he cups his hands to express them) “gf”
[the room falls silent as y/n stares shocked at chan]
Y/N: There’s no way…you’re so lying right? (her eyes are widened with shock)
Chan: Of course I am baby! Why would I ever just have you as your name? I have you as “future ms.bahng” (he smiles proudly displaying his contact name for y/n and her contact photo)
Y/N: I almost threw these cards at you for real Christopher! Don’t ever do that again!
Chan: What’s my contact name?
Y/N: Bang Chan dash Stray Kids. (she stares deadpanned at the camera before giggling at his expression)

Y/N: I’m Cupid’s Y/N!
Chan: and I’m Stray Kids Bang Chan!
Y/N & Chan: and we’re taking the enluv couples quiz!
[the couples quiz logo pops up over them to signify the start of the interview – y/n’s questions are first]
Y/N: What’s an item of yours I always seem to steal?
Chan: Oh that’s obvious, she always steals my hoodies. All the colorful ones go to her!
Y/N: Correct! His fans always tell him to wear color but I think I’ve stolen everything with a decent amount of color on it…oops? Sorry stays!
Y/N: What’s something I always bring with me on tour?
Chan: Hmm well there are a few ways to go about this. You could be asking like sentimental items or like necessities.
Y/N: I wrote a list so if the items you guess are on it I’ll give you a point.
Chan: Oh god. (he shakes his head and looks up to show he’s thinking) I would say probably your first aid kit bag. She’s pretty clumsy and needs to have a band-aid on her at all times.
Chan: Oh also probably our son. Oh! I know the most important one is definitely your headphones. You don’t ever leave the house without them.
Y/N: Channie I think you need to elaborate on what our son means (she laughs pointing towards the production team) because they seem worried.
Chan: Oh right. Y/N and I have matching plushies that we won each other on our…hmm I think it was our fifth date? I took her to an arcade and they had claw machines. She got me a psyduck plushie it’s really big and I got her a bunny plush. We call them our sons and usually I’ll take the bunny and she takes psyduck. We care for them equally though! We aren’t absent parents!
Y/N: Okay you were right about all of those, you’re missing one thing though. This one is the most important one.
Chan: Babe…I thought I hit them all seriously…gimme a hint pleaseee….
Y/N: It’s something you gave me.
Chan: I’ve given you a lot of things Y/N.
Y/N: Can I just tell you?
Chan: No! I wanna guess.
[a compilation of chan guessing is played in x2 speed, y/n continues to answer no as he guesses]
Chan: I give up! Tell me.
Y/N: It’s my bracelet! (she laughs softly at his expression)
Chan: Oh god, I can’t believe I forgot about our bracelets!! (he holds up his right hand so the camera can see) We have bond bracelets!
Y/N: When you touch them it sends the other person a small vibration and it means that we’re thinking of or miss the other. They’re really nice since we work a lot and don’t see each other as often as we’d hope.
Chan: I touch mine a lot.
Y/N: Mhm he does, but so do I so I’d never complain.
Y/N: Have I ever written a song about you? And if the answer is yes, which one is my favorite.
Chan: Yeah, plenty of them.
Y/N: Woah okay no need to expose me sir.
Chan: Babe I’m not exposing anything, it’s kinda obvious…
Y/N: Just answer the question Chris.
Chan: “two souls” is your favorite and I know that because you worked on it for almost three months then gave it to me on my birthday.
Y/N: He’s right. That song is my baby, it’s so personal but I just really love it so much. He kept trying to sneak into my laptop to listen to it but I caught him every single time! He cried when he first heard it though so it was worth hiding.
Chan: I thought we promised not to talk about that sweetie.
Y/N: Next question!
Y/N: What was my first concert?
Chan: Oh man. I don’t think I know this one babe.
Y/N: Channie I promise I’ve told you the answer to all of these questions.
Chan: Okay can you tell me how old you were?
Y/N: No.
Chan: Please prettty? I think I’ll get it if I know how old you were!
Y/N: I was sixteen almost seventeen. (y/n sends the camera a wink)
Chan: OH! I’ve so got it then. I know it!
Y/N: Okay who was it then?
Chan: It was Seventeen sunbaenim!
Y/N: Ding ding ding! Correct!
Chan: I always forget how big of a carat you are seriously. She loves them. The kids are friends with them so it’s wild to see her interact with them.
Y/N: I’m good friends with them now, perks of being an idol, they always tease me too.
Chan: Who did you bias?
Y/N: Some secrets should never see the light Channie.
Y/N: NEXT!
Y/N: What’s my favorite food?
Chan: It’s Chipotle but you get the most mundane thing ever so you always throw in a side of chips and queso because you’re scared the workers roll their eyes when they see your order.
Y/N: That…what oddly specific…why did you expose me like that omg…embarrassing!
Chan: Babe you recite exactly what I just said every time you order Chipotle, literally word for word I know it by heart now.
Y/N: Feels like he’s attacking me a bit right guys (y/n turns to the cameras as if asking the audience)
Chan: I am not! You have said that to me a million times! It’s seriously engraved in my head.
Y/N: NEXT!
Y/N: What’s my favorite song that you’ve written that’s about me?
Chan: I know the answer but if I say it then fans are going to have a field day on twitter.
Y/N: How would you know? Been on twitter recently Chris?
Chan: (he stares at the camera and winks) I don’t have twitter, you know, idol things and all those logistics.
Y/N: Should we answer the question together?
Chan: Stop cheesing so hard, you did this on purpose didn’t you.
Y/N: Yes I did. Ready? 3…2…1!!!
Chan & Y/N: Red Lights
Y/N: What can I say! It’s a good song.
Chan: Is it my turn yet? I need to seek revenge.
Y/N: NOPE! Still me!
Y/N: How many pets do I have and can you tell me in which order I got them?
Chan: This is terrible because she had pets even before getting with me.
Chan: Okay here it goes. You have three pets, first one is Pickles, he’s a greyhound. Next would be Peanut, he’s a fish and he has a brother named Jelly. They count as one because they’re a pair, and finally we have Kimchi and that’s our gecko, I named him. (he smiles proudly at the camera)
Y/N: Four points! Wow babe good job!
Chan: What kind of dad would I be if I didn’t know our kids names?
Y/N: So true like imagine you forgot one I’d be so mad.
Chan: I know that’s why I got them all right.
Y/N: What’s my dream wedding look like?
Chan: I also know this answer, we talk about it a lot.
Chan: You want a small wedding with the most important people in your life, so like family and friends but also people who have helped you in your career as well. You want a summer wedding and want a pastel creamy green color to be the theme. It’ll be inside but you really liked the forest vibe from Twilight so the inside will be decorated to look like the woods.
Y/N: Okay woah. Do you have access to my Pinterest or something?
Chan: You say that like we don’t talk about getting married all the time. (he smacks his lips playfully at her)
Y/N: I am in love with you, seriously like on god dude.
Chan: Stop saying on god after you tell me you love me, we talked about this!
Y/N: He doesn’t like it because he says it sounds like I’m talking to a brother.
Chan: You sound like my nineteen year old sister!
Y/N: and I love her very much! We went shopping last time we went to visit them.
Chan: and you bought her $800 shoes.
Y/N: What can I say, I love all the bahngs!
Y/N: Last question Chris, let’s see if you get this one right! What was my first impression of you!
Chan: Oh you’re going there? I see how it is. (he fixes himself to sit straight up and looks at the camera) Our fans don’t know this story but Y/N hated me.
Y/N: (laughing to herself and gesturing to the crew again) They look so confused! He made it sound so bad, I just thought he was one of those really weird guys because, so basically we met at an award show and his group, Stray Kids, had been seated next to us.
Chan: We were so close we could touch arms.
Y/N: No truly! And it was funny because his entire group, and if you don’t know, they have eight members in total, all got up and went to the bathroom together. All eight of them! It was hilarious, I’d never seen any group do that!
Chan: We like to stay together. Safety in numbers!
Y/N: They came back after a while and almost missed getting their award. It was just so odd to me at the time but after that we started talking as the show went on and I thought he was super sweet and obviously he cares for his members.

[the couples quiz logo pops onto screen as the video depicts chan at the center, he flashes an excited smile at the camera]
Chan: Is it finally my turn? I’ll be honest I don’t have that many questions…but they’re pretty hard to answer. I don’t know if Y/N will be able to get them right.
Y/N: Don’t antagonize me Christopher! I know everything about you.
Chan: We’ll see about that.
Chan: First question! Before we went on our first date I had originally planned something else but it fell through, what was it and why didn’t we do it?
Y/N: Woah you’re going BACK.
Chan: Mhm, answer the question baby.
Y/N: This is a funny story that not everyone knows actually. Chan loves doing crazy things like he doesn’t do traditional dates ever, it’s always something outrageous that you least expect.
Chan: I want things to be memorable, plus if I have free time I don’t want to spend it sitting around, I want to go out and do things.
Y/N: He originally wanted to take me bungee jumping, (the camera pans to a laughing chan and the staff can be heard gasping) can you believe that! Bungee jumping for a first date!
Chan: It would have been memorable though, right?
Y/N: Yeah definitely. It didn’t happen though because he heard from a mutual friend of ours, Minnie, that I was really scared of heights.
Chan: I canceled the day super quick, the date was in two days and I called and had to cancel but I was honestly grateful I found out because imagine if I hadn’t known and took her to it? Memorable first date but not in a good way!
Y/N: I think maybe now I’d do it, but only if he’s with me because I trust him the most.
Chan: Wait really? Wait we’ll talk about this later, finish the story!
Y/N: Right! He took me swimming instead, it was a indoor private pool place and it was so much fun. He actually taught me how to swim.
Chan: It’s one of my favorite memories because I just knew I’d be asking her to be my girlfriend.
Y/N: Stop I’m going to cry if we get into this again!
Chan: I told her this last time we talked, how I knew she was the one for me our first date. She cried and then called her mom to tell her.
Y/N: My parents love him, maybe more than me to be honest.
Chan: What was the first achievement we got as a group that made me feel like I had made it?
Y/N: This feels like a trick question.
Chan: I promise it’s not.
Y/N: There are two answers because your first win is so memorable that I’d pick that one but you also always say you haven’t made it, because you’re still going, still reaching and setting goals and achievements for yourself.
Chan: You worded that perfectly. She’s right. First win on a music show was huge for us but honestly as a group we have a lot of goals and want to achieve them all, I don’t know if we’re ever going to truly feel like we’ve made it but seeing our fans celebrate our achievements always makes it feel like we’re heading in the right direction.
[the camera shifts and pans to y/n running her thumb on the back of chan’s palm, she whispers something in his ear before they continue]
Chan: What was my favorite sport growing up?
Y/N: Easy! It was swimming and you were really good at it.
Chan: Don’t say that they’re going to believe you.
Y/N: Babe I’ve seen those awards your mom has lining the walls of your house, trust me, you were good.
Chan: My dad owns a swim school so I swam a lot as a kid and naturally went on to compete at meets and stuff. If I wasn’t here doing this, I’d be a swimmer.
Y/N: He’s really good at it, and he taught me how to swim so like he’s a good teacher too.
Chan: I can’t believe I taught you to swim that memory is so engraved in my mind.
Y/N: Mine too! I could not learn for the life of me and then suddenly on my first date with him he taught me. That should tell you how good he is at swimming.
Chan: I don’t know if I’m good now but back then I wasn’t terrible.
Y/N: My boyfriend is so humble!
Chan: What’s one thing that you hate that I do but I love it?
Y/N: Sleeping in the recording room?
Chan: (he lets out a sarcastic laugh) Ha Ha Ha. Close but no.
Y/N: I don’t know, I don’t hate anything you do honestly.
Chan: Want me to tell you?
Y/N: You so want to tell me.
Chan: I do.
Y/N: Tell me.
Chan: It’s when I spend too long in the studio, so long that you have to come get me.
Y/N: You’re so….(she’s cut off by chan’s laughter)
Chan: Let me explain before you blast me in front of everyone!
Y/N: Mmm…go on…
Chan: I know you hate coming to get me but some of my favorite times are when you come because then we spend hours together listening to things I’ve made or messing around and recording things. It’s nice to have you so interested in what I do because I love you and I love music, it’s like my two favorite things are interacting and meeting one another.
Y/N: I hate you so much! You know I’m a sap, I’m going to cry you meanie, that’s so cute what even is this!
Chan: My revenge worked!
[the video cuts to the next clip and the viewer can see that y/n now has a tissue in hand]
Chan: Next question, who gave me advice when we first started getting to know each other and dating?
Y/N: Was it not one of the boys? You said you told binnie first no? So I’d assume him.
Chan: Nope! Guess again.
Y/N: No? Hmm I don’t know…maybe one of your other idol friends?
Chan: It was actually our choreographer.
Y/N: What? Really? Why?
Chan: They saw how stressed I was because I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend officially and it was making me distracted so they sat me down and made me spill what was bothering me. Funny too because when I told them they told me to just go for it, and I did and then later on they told me they were glad I had because I looked so much happier.
Y/N: Wow this tissue is being used to its fullest today. I am making a mental note to buy them anything they want right now like wow, imagine if they had never told you to just do it. Where would we be?
Chan: Still sneaking around to hang out as “friends” probably.
Chan: Final question, what’s the title of our new collab song coming out?
Y/N: Oh you’re terrible, did you even get permission to reveal this?
Chan: No but I feel like it’ll, a) this will be out by the time we announce it or b) I don’t have a plan B since I’m hoping plan A is successful!
Y/N: Stay please pray for your leader, he’s so going to get us in trouble for this!
Chan: Don’t say that pretty, have some faith in me.
Y/N: Our collab song is called “Here for you,” and it was written and produced by us.
Chan: It’s a love song if you didn’t guess that.
Y/N: I think they got that one babe.
Chan: Making sure they know it!
Interviewer: Can you tell us a little about the song?
Y/N: Well like Chan said, it’s a love song. It’s about finding the right person and immediately knowing they’re the one.
Chan: Immediately knowing they’re your person.
Y/N: We wrote it one night in the studio after fighting, nothing huge but we both had a bad day and it was intense, when you’ve been with someone for a while you have those days you know? He wrote something down to blow off some steam and so did I. We realized that we’d wrote one half of a song each. Then we put it together, fixed it up and made it that night.
Chan: It’s a really special song to us both, that’s why I’m so excited to announce it.
Y/N: We’re really excited to have you all listen to it.
Interviewer: Well thank you both for coming. We appreciate you making some time for us!
Y/N & Chan: Thanks for having us! (they send a smile to the camera and bow in thanks to the crew)
Y/N: We had a lot of fun today, really thank you.
Chan: Maybe we will come back in like ten years, married, and all that and do it again!
[ the camera zooms out and in fades the couples quiz logo, you can see the couple as they whisper to one another after the director yells “cut” ]
Tumblr media
ENLUV EXTRA:
Chan: Why do I love Y/N? That’s a big question to ask, and if I named all the reasons we’d be here for a long time, to put it simply she’s my soulmate, I don’t think there is anyone else in the world more right for me than her. She’s caring, fun, creative, so many more things and it’s like wow, people do exist like her out there and I was lucky enough to find her? She must be my soulmate.
Y/N: Why do I love Chris? Hmm let me think. As a society I know we don’t believe in soulmates, and for a long time I put no thought into them you know? But meeting Chan and being able to experience the love he gives, has honestly changed that for me. I don’t think there is anyone out there more perfect for me than him. I can’t put into words why I love him but I can try to describe it. It’s like when you find a new favorite thing to obsess over, and that becomes something you love so dearly but in the case of me and Chan, it’s that feeling on and on, it never falters and my love for it stays consistent.
[ the video ends with a black screen fading out the image of y/n from frame ]

Home, Sweet, Home
pairing — idolbf!bangchan x f!reader
word count — drabble ∼900 words
warnings — she/her reader, fluff!!
summary — In a surprise visit to Bang Chan's studio, you accidentally appeared on his Instagram livestream. Bang Chan tries his best not show that you're there but obviously he's too whipped for you.
You scanned your keycard and unlocked the main door to JYP Entertainment. You made your way into the elevator as it hummed and moved upward. When the doors opened, you walked down the hallway, stopping at Bang Chan's studio.
Right after you knocked, the door swung open, revealing Bang Chan's surprised expression. He immediately gestured towards the camera, telling you he was doing an Instagram livestream. It was clear that you had caught him off guard, unintentionally making an appearance.
As Bang Chan regained his composure, he sat back down and quickly addressed the online audience, "Hey everyone, it was just Changbin popping in for a quick chat." A playful and knowing smile accompanied his words, aimed at reassuring his fans.
Silently, you moved towards a seat beside Bang Chan's desk, carefully choosing a spot that remained out of view from the camera. Chan subtly shifted his chair forward, edging closer to the desk as you exchanged a rapid glance. He slipped his hand discreetly under the table, extending his arm to rest his hand on your leg.
As Bang Chan continued engaging with the fans during the livestream, he occasionally turned his gaze towards you, allowing it to linger for a few moments. A warm, genuine smile accompanied this glance.
You joined the livestream to witness the interaction from the fans' perspective and look at comments. Looking at them made your eyes light up. Some were quick to notice Bang Chan's glances and smiles.
"He keeps looking off to the side. Who's there?""Is there someone with Bang Chan?""Bang Chan, is there a surprise guest with you today?""The way he smiles and looks to the side... there's definitely something going on"
It was clear that the audience was observant and deeply invested in Bang Chan's livestream. Meanwhile, Bang Chan thought he maintained the mystery.
Your eyes flickered up to Bang Chan, who looked back at you confused, likely because you seemed nervous. You gave him a reminder for him to be discreet and not draw attention to you.
"Stop being so obvious" you mouthed silently.
He couldn't get the message, so he leaned forward, asking with a loud "Huh?" which made you facepalm at his stupidity. Meanwhile, Bang Chan, realizing what he had done, jumped in shock at his loud response.
"The staff is being silly," Bang Chan chuckled, quickly coming up with a cover to explain what had happened. He hoped that his laughter reassured the fans that everything was under control and that it was just a playful misunderstanding.
To avoid any more mistakes, Bang Chan pretended to check the time. "I think we'll wrap up for today," he announced with a friendly tone. "It was nice having an evening live with you guys! Bye bye!" He clicked his phone and ended the livestream, giving the Stays a cheerful send-off.
Bang Chan quickly shifted his attention towards you and buried his face in your lap, pretending to cry and yelled, "I'm so stupid." while he rubbed his face into your legs.
"You really are!" you laughed and ruffled his curly hair. "Next time you're doing this, let me know so I don't accidentally interrupt. I checked the comments and did you have any clue that they were suspecting something?"
Bang Chan looked up with his mouth wide open and responded, "I had a feeling they would've be curious, but I didn't expect it to become a game of 'guess who' during the livestream!" He wrapped his arms around you, showing a pout. "I'm so going to get fired," he exaggerated.
You chuckled and reassured him, "You're fine, Chan. You handled it like a pro"
"Did I, though?" He lifted an eyebrow, and you looked away from him.
"Yes, now let's go home. Get your stuff ready," you said to change the subject.
As you spoke, Bang Chan sat up, still wearing a mock expression of distress. "Fine, fine," he sighed dramatically, standing up and collecting his things. "But you owe me for saving the day!"
You both exited the studio, making your way through the hallway and back towards the elevator. Bang Chan continued to playfully grumble about the unexpected turn of events, but there was a lightness in his demeanor, and it was clear he found the whole situation amusing.
As you waited for the elevator, Bang Chan leaned in and whispered, "You know, I could get used to surprise visits during livestreams. It adds a bit of excitement, don't you think?"
You chuckled and shook your head, "Let's not make a habit out of it. We don't want fans thinking about it every time you go live."
The elevator doors opened, and you stepped inside. Bang Chan pressed the button for the ground floor, and as the doors closed, he grinned. "Fair enough. But it was kind of fun, wasn't it?"
"So now, you think it was fun. What happened to getting fired?" you replied, playfully which made him zip his mouth.
The elevator descended, and you soon found yourselves back in the lobby of JYP Entertainment. You exchanged goodbyes with a wave to the security staff, and you stepped out onto the bustling streets of Seoul. You found your car and went into a driver's seat. Chan hopped in as you turned on the engine.
Chan wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close. "Home, sweet home!" he exclaimed as you chuckled and drove away from JYP Entertainment.

Inspired by nwjs get up !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You ran down the slope down the street, heels in hand as the train of your dress flew behind you.
The night air cut into your cheeks and arms, cold and wild as it whistled into your ears. It had slipped your mind to bring a coat, but your first priority was to get out. You were sick of the party and its suffocating air.
The whole evening was a blur of insincere conversations with the fakest smile you could muster, and the growing feeling of being trapped. He wouldn’t stop ignoring you, but the straw that broke the camel's back was when he snapped at you for talking to someone else in the middle of the dance floor, leading all the eyes in the room to you.
You had begged and begged Chan not to bring you in the first place, but he was relentless. You never did well in social events anyways.
However being on the streets alone might have been better than being forced to stand there for another minute.
Your head pounded as your footsteps echoed in your ears, a scraping noise that hurt your brain. The street was dimly lit by golden lights, and as you looked ahead you could see the glimmer lights of the valley. It was buzzing with energy, a stark contrast of the neighborhood you bumbled through.
It was quiet, and yet the sounds of the town still reached you.
The cold was not helping any bit, leaving you shaking as you huddled yourself closer. Your vision blurred slightly when you stopped, bones aching as you stared into the distance.
For a while you were sure you were being followed, but the clattering of something metal behind you confirmed everything. Slowly, you took off your heels, holding them before you took off.
You ran for a while, breath caught painfully in your throat as you tried to hack out the cold air. You came to a stop on a bridge, hands on your knees as you panted. There seemed to be no indication of them, and you finally relaxed, dropping the straps of your heels.
There were two resounding shots in your direction all the sudden, and you stumbled over your train, hitting your knee weirdly on the ground as you tried to run.
The aggressors finally caught up, pressing something to the back of your neck as they muttered to each other in voices you could barely recognize in your dazed state.
From your place on the ground, the lights seemed to blend together. Your body ached, and tears seemed to slip from your eyes as you faced the ground.
“Oh god she’s crying- Minho, what the fuck are we suppose to do?”
“I don’t know Changbin. I think we should let Chan take care of her-”
Minho was immediately cut off by the sound of a car rolling up. The doors opened up and they both went silent, the person holding the gun to the back of your head moving back as another pair of footsteps joined the scene.
“Why is she crying? I thought I told you to bring her back without a single scratch.”
“It’s not our fault she started running! She’s the one who should know better!”
“Watch your mouth Lee Minho. We may be friends but that’s my girlfriend you’re talking about.”
You stiffened, hanging your head as he got closer, feeling his presence directly behind you. You didn’t say anything as he lifted you up, placing you in the car before slamming the door shut to talk to Minho and Changbin, who gave the car a slight look of concern before turning back to Chan.
Minutes seemed to turn into hours as he talked, your shaking slowly ceasing. The sudden change in temperature seemed to make the headache worse, and you gripped your head, curling into a ball. Your knee also didn’t help your case.
Finally he entered the car, stern silence spiraling as the driver started on Chan's command.
He finally broke the silence, tone cold and clipped as he watched you squirm into the corner of your seat.
“Do you know how much trouble you caused me back there?”
He was staring at you with an accusatory look when you looked away, staring at your hands to avoid his face.
"I... I didn't mean to cause any trouble," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper.
He tsked, expression unreadable as city lights passed by in a blur.
His voice was measured when he finally spoke, his words punctuated as you sped down the lane. "You didn't mean to cause trouble? Yet here we are."
You curled back into a ball, wincing when your knee jerked a little from the sudden movement. When you didn’t reply, he wrenched you forward slightly, causing you to let out a whimper.
“I hope you know the consequences you caused for me. I had to put three very important deals on hold because you just had to run away. Now, I expect you to be on your best behavior when we get home, and you better not interrupt me unless it's important.” He hissed, a dangerous look in his eyes.
He let go of your arm and leaned back, staring out the window. You rubbed it, throat heavy as you tried to say something back, eventually settling into the uncomfortable silence.
When you arrived home, he immediately left the car, handing his coat to an attendant left behind to handle you. You watched him disappear into the depths of the house, a sense of isolation settling in.
You felt so incredibly shitty, and it wasn’t just the cold, but the guilt and embarrassment racking up in your stomach.
"Come, let's get you inside and warmed up," the attendant said softly, guiding you gently towards the entrance of the huge mansion. The house seemed to settle into a quiet rhythm, the noise of the world outside a distant echo as you settled down for the night, heart heavy.
Whatever it was you had only seemed to worsen over the next few days though, the soreness of your throat and muscles only getting worse. It was constantly cold and your knee seemed to be acting up despite the care you tried to give it.
You managed to keep the symptoms under wraps, but you were so tired, barely catching a wink of sleep as you wandered aimlessly in the halls.
To add injury to the insult, Chan seemed to be ignoring you, avoiding you at all times of day and barely allowing you to catch a glimpse of him. As you tried to approach him, he’d always direct you to the nearest member, walking away with the others and leaving the both of you in an awkward situation.
It was the fourth day, and you were already tired of it. Again, it went as you predicted, with Chan leaving after a curt nod to poor Jeongin, who seemed tired of being sacrificed to the tension between the both of you.
You stood in front of him, wrapping the blanket tightly around you as Jeongin watched you awkwardly.
“I don’t bite,” you joked, voice raspy from the acheness of your throat.
“I know… I know I'm… just worried? Are you okay?” You blinked for a moment, processing the question before nodding vigorously as you could.
“Yep, mhm, totally! I’m going to be okay, now do you mind walking me to my room?” You said, looking at him expectantly.
Relaxing slightly, he signaled towards the hall, holding a reluctant hand out. "Of course, let's go."
Slowly, you both made your way through the mansion's corridors, your steps slow and deliberate. You think you had a cold but it was taking far too long to recover from whatever it was you caught.
You stopped in front of your door, and Jeongin let go, a passive look on his face as you opened the door with a whooping cough. The dizziness has returned, so you’d try your best not to make a spectacle out of it.
“T-thanks Innie, i’ll be fine," you managed to say, your voice rough and strained due to the coughing fit. You gave him a weak smile, sincere despite the physical discomfort.
Jeongin returned the smile, though it was faint. "Make sure to rest well and take care of yourself," he advised softly.
You tried to reply back, but suddenly the lightheadedness that was impending hit you, causing you to collapse. The sensation was disorienting, the black ebbing into the corner of your eyes. You could hear Jeongin yelling and shaking you, but you were too tired, closing your eyes in hope your rest would be at least a little nicer now.
——————
It was warm. Soft too.
You nuzzled your head into a pillow next to your face, groaning slightly. Everything felt heavy, and you barely felt like moving from the cocoon of warmth. You rested there for a couple heartbeats, curling into the blankets.
It was useless though, as the light of the room coaxed you out of your drowsiness. You pushed yourself up, closing your eyes as you felt your knee. There was a thick bandage over it that you hadn’t remembered putting on, and it wrapped tightly so the pressure would alleviate the pain.
“You’re awake.” Your eyes snapped open again, looking wildly around the room. “Over here,” You turned your head to the doorway, Chan leaning against it, tie loosened and sleeves rolled up. He had a bag in his hand, if you didn’t know any better you’d have thought he had been casually walking by when he decided to visit.
Suddenly, the thing that was bugging you hit you like a flash, and you took a good look around the room. “This isn't my room,” You whispered raspily, looking back down at the black sheets, “what am i doing here?”
“Jeongin saw you collapse, when I came in they told me you were dehydrated and sick. I told them to bring you here so that I could monitor you instead of forcing you to stay confined to your room,” Chan stated, putting down the things he’d brought in with him.
You fell silent as his revelation, picking at your nails as he shuffled around the room.
"I brought you some stuff to help with the cold," he said, voice rough. "You should try to eat something, even if it's just a little." You could have imagined you had heard a hint of remorse, but even if it was there, it was gone in a blink.
He sat down next to you, reaching over the blankets to pull you forward. You looked at his arm, covered in tattoos and faint scars. You could almost trace them from memory, having gone over them multiple times.
He immediately noticed you doing so, palm up and fingers spread, almost as if offering to let you trace his arm once again. You didn’t take him up on it though, only staring at him with a blank look on your face. Quickly, he drew back his hand, coughing into it to cover the awkwardness of the situation.
After a while, he broke the silence, tone slightly annoyed as he eyeballed you.
“So. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Tell you what?” You muttered, confused as you rolled your eyes at him.
“Tell me that you were-” He paused, running his hands through his curls with a certain frustration that seemed to roll off him. “That you were sick. You could have avoided this if you had just told me-”
“Who was the one that avoided me?” You said, glaring at him as he turned to you, face slowly contorting from the look of shock to audacity. His eyebrows furrowed as if your words had taken him by surprise. "What do you mean I avoided you? If you had told me-"
You cut him off, anger rising as he pranced around the topic. "You know exactly what I mean, Christopher. You've been avoiding me for days now. When was the last time you even said a small hi to me? You were being childish.”
He winced, obviously unpleased by the usage of his whole name.
“Look, we all mess up baby, and I'm sorry you can’t stop clinging to a mistake i made once-” You groaned, head once again pounding as you stared at his unapologetic face.
“You just don’t get it do you?”
“Excuse me?” Chan shot back, anger flaring up as he shot up out of his chair, smacking his hands on the bed.
“Leave me alone Chan, I don't want to hear it from you now! You never listen to me! Ever!” You snapped, breaking into a wild bout of coughs you’d been holding back. He rose up from his seat, nostrils flaring as he stomped over to the door.
“Fine, i’ll fucking leave you alone, maybe that’ll teach you to be nicer,” he spat, slamming the door shut, leaving you alone with the silence in the room.
It wasn't exactly how you could have envisioned the conversation going.
Eventually, the fatigue caught up with you, and you let your eyes close as you rested against the pillows. The pain in your knee that you thought had faded came back, intensifying with each passing moment and you weren’t sure you’d get a wink of rest after all that.
——————
It was roughly around the middle of the night when you woke up, head pounding. Your eyes blurred with tears, soft whimpers escaping your mouth.
You shivered under the blankets, disoriented and uncomfortable as you looked around the darkened room. The only light source was the opened curtains, the moon casting a shadow on the floor.
The door to the room opened, a soft golden light flooding in for a moment until it closed, footsteps echoing in your head. The lights beside you turned on, causing you to flinch as the light hurt your head even more.
A warm hand placed itself on your forehead, eventually moving to caress your cheek. Your body shivered involuntarily as another chill passed through you, making you feel even more sensitive to his touch.
“Looks like you have a fever, just when I thought you were getting better baby.”
You tried to turn away, but were quickly grabbed back by Chan, who came into your field of vision as he tried to check you.
“Uh uh, baby, don’t do that to me. Get up, I’m not here to fight you, just wanna care for my sick baby. How’re you gonna get better if you don’t let me in?”
You relaxed, leaning into the warmth of Chan’s hand, eyes squeezed shut tightly as you tried to keep it close to you. His thumb continued to caress your cheek gently, his touch soothing in its own way.
“It hurts,” you whined, throat constricting slightly with how dry it was. You couldn’t remember the last time you drank any water. He lifted your head gently, supporting it with his hand as he brought a glass of water to your lips.
"Here, take small sips," he instructed softly, his gaze fixed on your face as you drank. He adjusted the angle of the glass to make it easier for you, ensuring nothing spilled. After a few sips, he lowered the glass, his fingers brushing against your lips as he pulled it away. "Attagirl, that's better, isn’t it?"
You nodded, leaning against him as he sat down next to you. The slight movement of your knee from its resting place had pain jolting through your leg, causing a slight squeak to come out of your mouth.
Chan's brows furrowed as he noticed your discomfort, reaching out. "Easy there," he said softly, his hand moving to place the pillow next to him under your knee, caressing it lightly. "Don't strain yourself."
You watched him as he moved around, blocking out the sound of plastic rustling by focusing on him.
“Where were you?”
“I was just getting something done on base baby, there's no need to worry. Came here as soon as i was done,” he said, turning around to you with something in hand.
It was a couple tablets, along with another glass of water.
You reeled away slightly as he came closer, hand outstretched to offer you the medication.
Chan seemed to sense your hesitation, his expression softening, "I promise you, these are just pain relievers to help you feel better. They'll make the pain more manageable." Still you drew back, turning your head to the side.
“No. They taste weird. I can’t swallow.”
“C’mon baby, please. Do it for me at least.” Chan cooed, scooting closer till he was in your ear. “I don’t want to,” you coughed, clutching your mouth to avoid allowing your sickness to spread any further.
“Fine,” Chan muttered, turning around, “At least have a cough drop.”
As you turned around to respond, his mouth was on yours, kissing you roughly. You felt his warmth against your lips, a soothing sensation that momentarily made you forget your discomfort. For a moment you melted into it, before you felt something getting shoved into your mouth.
You didn’t even have a chance to spit it out, as Chan placed a hand over your mouth, rubbing your throat lightly to get you to swallow it. The bitter aftertaste seem to rest on your tongue, causing you to actually gag a little as Chan forced you to lie down once more. The gentle touches continued to your head, running fingers through your damp hair, untangling it as best he could with one hand.
“I promise you’ll get better baby. I know it tastes bad but you gotta trust me here, you can sleep once the medicine has taken effect and you’ll feel better.”
You nodded weakly, not having the energy to argue further. His concern was evident, even if his methods were a bit forceful. You closed your eyes, shivering slightly at the cloth he put on your forehead. As you lay there, the room seemed to spin slightly, and you held onto the blankets tightly.
The medication began to take effect, dulling the pain and making you feel drowsy. The room felt cocooned in silence, the soft rustling of the curtains and the occasional murmur of voices from outside the door creating muffled noises.
"Rest now," he whispered, almost a soft man lullaby in the darkness. You let yourself succumb to sleep in his arms, feeling the weight of exhaustion pulling you under once again.
——————
The light disturbed your sleep once again, forcing you to lazily open your eyes, looking around on your side. Chan was asleep against the headboard of his bed, mouth open slightly as he snored.
You took the opportunity to trace his arm, running circles in his arms as curled into his warmth. Even in his sleep, Chan's awareness stirred, and his fingers curled around your hand, intercepting your exploration halfway up his arm.
“What are you doing baby?” His voice was a sleepy murmur, laced with a hint of amusement. He looked down at you with half-lidded eyes, his other hand moving to your forehead, now pleasantly cool to the touch.
"Thank you," you whispered, your voice cracking slightly as you looked at him. "For taking care of me, even when I’ve caused you so much trouble."
In a moment he seemed to be wide awake, looking at you with such a fragile look you felt you might have cried a little.
“It was never your fault Y/n, I shouldn’t have let it get there,” he murmured, helping you sit up against him.
"I'm sorry," he continued, his gaze unwavering as he hunched down to your level, "for not being there when you needed me. I let my pride get in the way, and I hurt you in the process."
Tears started to fall even as you were unaware, staring at him as he brought you closer.
“You cry a lot, you know.” And he kissed you.
Your tears mingled with the kiss, a mixture of joy and relief, even as you tried to push him away.
“What? Do you not like my kisses anymore?”
You shook your head as you buried it into the crook of his neck, squeezing him tighter. “Mhh. I don’t wanna get you sick.”
He chuckled, pulling the blanket over both of you as you clung to him.
"You think a little cold would keep me away?" When you didn’t respond, he shook you, getting a little jump from you in response.
“Sorry. I’m just hungry.” You muttered, groaning into his neck. “I’ll order some soup, that sound okay?” Chan offered, rubbing your sides with extra precaution.
“So long as it’s the one I like. That’ll serve as an apology enough.” You yawned, curling up against him once more.
“I missed you Chan.”
“Missed you too baby.”

the downpour came without much warning. abrupt surges of thunder echoed in the street followed by the heavy pelting of thick rain drops against the pavement. believing the weather would soon clear up, y/n and Chan chose to wait out the storm. after a few hours passed, they had already cleared dinner, and finished washing up.
"fancy staying the night? I'll take the couch as usual," chan called down the hallway. as the words floated to y/n, she found herself smiling. he was ever the gentleman, and throughout their steady eight month relationship, chan was cautious to push any boundaries, especially those regarding personal space.
with her face towel in hand, y/n sauntered into the room. chan was stood at the side of the bed, lovingly fluffing the pillows before quickly dashing a spritz of his perfume in the air and fanning it with his hand to evenly distribute the scent. y/n had often complimented his fragrance choices, and he knew a light touch of it on his borrowed sheets would be comforting. sneaking behind his busied figure, y/n secured her arms around his waist.
"baby girl, have you finished showering already?" he asked, his eyes forming crescents as his gaze fell upon her.
"mmmh," y/n dazedly replied, her senses overcome with the soft, warmth of his perfume and the sleepiness that could not be kept at bay.
chan leant down, placing his hands on either side of y/n's shoulder, giving them a gentle squeeze, before placing a soft kiss on her forehead. y/n's cheeks and his own both tinged with hues of pink. the two were still full with the giddiness of puppy love despite their long term status. y/n still felt hesitant, she also did not want to push. chan had already made his way to the door, hand resting on the knob when y/n spoke.
"couldn't we share tonight? the thunder is sort of loud." in the smallest voice, y/n mumbled her question.
chan knew y/n well enough that thunder was neither a concern nor threat, and that she could sleep through the end of the world.
he chuckled to himself, responding with a cheerful "yes."
natually, chan took the side of the bed that wasn't to the wall. y/n settled herself on her left side to face him, but oddly enough, her boyfriend had bundled himself closer to the edge, and she wondered how he hadn't fallen off already.
"i didn't realise how small this bed was for two," y/n uttered. despite her low voice, the sound seemed the fill the room, as the rumbling thunder silenced at that precise moment.
slowly, thoughts of self consciousness took residence in her mind: was chan keeping his space on purpose? was he not ready to be in such an intimate situation yet?
"y/n?" he called out to no response, only the lively hum of the air conditioning could be heard.
"y/n?" he voiced again, a little louder. this time he successfully pulled her from her thoughts. the frown on her face evident under the moonlight that shone through the window.
"baby, what are you thinking about that has you so spaced out?" y/n met his eyes, a shadow half covering his face. unsure if it was the nerves of being within such close proximity or being so tired, y/n took the chance. "are you uncomfortable being this close to me? i can move to the couch, i don't want you to fall off and hurt yourself."
chan sat upright, blinking before taking his head in his hands.
"y/n- baby," he began, turning to face her.
"i was worried about making you uncomfortable. and i won't lie, the way your hips fill out my shirt had me a little preoccupied. i didn't want you to think i was trying to make a move the first time we slept together."
hearty laughter erupted from y/n, "my goodness, how silly could i be? i thought you were being extra careful because you weren't feeling it. i wanted us to cuddle..."
making grabby hands towards chan, the man was quick to shuffle over to her, scooping her up in his arms so y/n's head lay in the crevice of his shoulder as his arm snaked around her waist.
the couple silently admired each other's features in the dark as the rain seemed to calm. the placid atmosphere and shared warmth of their bodies lulled them further into a slumber.
"goodnight, my precious channie," y/n whispered, before gently pecking the tip of his nose. her right hand now tucked against his chest, the rhythmic beating of his heart mellowing her previous nerves.
y/n could remember a chaste kiss falling upon her cheek before she was out like a light.
"sleep well, baby girl."

Quietly Chan crept through the front door of his dorm. The last time he looked at a clock, the time read our 3:42 am, which meant everyone in the dorm was, or should be, asleep with the day they had. As he moved as silently as he could, a bright sticky note on the wall before the hall to the bedrooms caused him to pause and read it over. ‘You did great today’, the note read in your handwriting. Without realizing it, a smile crept across his face. Of course, you’d leave a note here for the other members to see too. It was one of the many reasons he knew that the members loved you and you loved them. You found ways to take care of them without them ever asking you to. A small laugh escaped his lips as he remembered when Felix said that while Chan is officially dating you, it felt like they all got a partner too. Notes like this popped up from time to time, always making him wonder who was in on it with you. Continuing his journey to his much-needed bed, his thoughts drifted to how he could repay the favor this time.
Entering his room, he didn’t expect to see a silhouette sitting in the middle of his dark room. Love? He called out softly, trying not to scare you with the way he was sneaking around his own home. The silent response was enough to tell him something was off, well that, and the fact you were sitting up in his bed well after what had to be 4 am now. Had he missed an important date? Was he supposed to be somewhere today and accidentally stood you up? Is everything ok with yours and his families? A million questions came crashing into his mind before he visibly shook it off and walked towards where you were sitting, eyes taking in the way his sweatshirt extended into sweater paws over your hands, and the way the hood was just low enough to cover your face. In an instant he panicked on the inside, trying to run down all the possible reasons for this. Did you have a nightmare and wake up to an empty room?
Carefully, he sat on the edge of the bed, gaging your reaction, before scouting further into it and in front of you when you didn’t protest his initial action. As if he was trying not to break the most expensive glass piece he had ever interacted with, he reached out to take one of your paws into him, noting how wet the ends felt. His chest began to ache as he gingerly pulled you into him tucking your face into the crook of his neck, fingers gently moving up and down your back. Words formed in his mind before disappearing before he could open his mouth. Time felt like it was passing too quickly, and he couldn’t get a single word out to comfort you, all he could do was hold you close to him. Trying to back track on all your conversations lately to try to get a clue as to what may have happened, he breath hitched when you finally spoke. I feel like... silence filled the pause, Chan just wanting to urge you to continue. I feel like, a little bit like I’ve failed, you whispered after the long minutes of him holding you close. Part of him wanted to ask why but he knew that if he spoke at this moment, you’d never want to finish the thoughts that were clearly begging to be let you. I’m watching everyone around me succeed at their dreams, your breath fanned against his neck as your spoke, and I feel like I’m stuck.
In that moment, he felt like the dark had come alive and was trying to take you away from him. Pressing his lips together, his eyes shifted to the ceiling, eyes catching the last few glow-in-the-dark stars you had put on his ceiling one night when all he wanted to do was go stargazing with you. I… I don’t know what to do anymore. I just feel like I’m existing and not living, you finished with fresh tears wetting the collar of his shirt. All too well did he know this pain that you were feeling. The feeling of simply existing, rather than feeling like you were in control and living your life. Yet he knew that there wasn’t much that he could do in the form of words for you, so he settled for letting your words echo around in his mind. As your arms wrapped around his waist, he pulled his attention off the ceiling and instead to the side of your head. When your fingers dug into his shirt and face burrowed deeper into his neck with a body shaking sob, he understands that while he had a million things to tell you, mostly the reasons why he was so proud of you, he let his hands put pressure on your back, pulling you somehow even closer to him. You needed to feel grounded in this life. Slowly, he started to adjust the both of you so that instead of sitting in the bed, you were laying on your side, face still protected in the space you had called home so many times before.
All he wanted to do was dive into your brain and chase the demons, monsters, and darkness that haunted you on days like this out. His chest felt constricted as his fingers danced across your back, knowing that you didn’t want to break any further. How long had you been in this room like this? Hours? The day? Desperately he wanted to tell you that you weren’t a failure and were on your own journey in this life, one that deceiving looks like someone else’s but had its own twist and turns for you. The dreams you were longing for were going to come to you eventually, but you just needed to wait a little longer. Something he had experienced firsthand. Yet, he knows that those words would do nothing for you tonight and instead settled for being the tether that kept you grounded. Soon he felt your breaths start to even out, encaged in his arms, a small piece of his chest swelled knowing he was at least able to get you to sleep off a little bit of this. Perhaps in the morning, some of the darkness will have been lightened. Pressing a long kiss into your hair, he made a mental note to make tomorrow filled with things that made you happy, that caused his favorite smile to grace your face. He would shower you with all the love he could possibly give.

Chan:
"So, Y/N," Chan began with a cheeky grin, "did I ever tell you about the time I tried to cook dinner for the members?"
You chuckled, your heart fluttering at the familiar tone of his voice. "No, you haven't! Do tell."
Chan launched into a hilarious account of his culinary mishaps, imitating his fellow members' shocked expressions as they took their first bites of his concoction. You couldn't hold back your laughter, and your eyes sparkled with delight as you listened to his animated storytelling.
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, the two of you settled onto a park bench. The conversation flowed effortlessly, jumping from one topic to another. Chan's arm rested casually around your shoulders, and you leaned into his comforting presence. His jokes and lighthearted banter continued, wrapping you in a cocoon of happiness.
A mischievous glint danced in his eyes as he leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Hey, Y/N, did you know that you're the only person who can keep up with my terrible puns?"
You laughed, rolling your eyes playfully. "Oh please, Chan. Your puns are legendary. I just try my best to match the greatness."
He grinned a warm and affectionate smile that made your heart flutter. "Well, you succeed spectacularly"
As the conversation flowed, your heart felt light, and the world seemed to slow down around you. But just as the laughter and stories continued, there was a shift in the atmosphere. Chan's teasing took a slightly sharper edge, and a comment that was meant to be a joke struck a chord in you.
"Come on, Y/N, don't be such a crybaby," he teased lightly, not realizing the weight his words held for you.
Your smile faltered, and you felt a pang of hurt deep within. You knew he didn't mean any harm, but sometimes, even the lightest remarks could trigger a sensitive nerve. You tried to shake it off, forcing a chuckle as you replied, "Yeah, yeah, I know. Just can't handle the master of puns, that's all."
But Chan noticed the change in your demeanor, his keen eyes picking up on the shift in your tone. His expression softened as he realized his words had landed differently than intended. "Hey," he said gently, his voice a warm reassurance, "I didn't mean it like that, Y/N. You know I'm just messing around, right?"
You nodded, your throat tightening as you struggled to keep your emotions in check. You hated how easily certain comments could bring tears to your eyes, even when you knew they were meant in jest. But it was hard to shake off the sensitivity, a part of you that you sometimes wished you could control better.
"Hey," Chan's hand cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing away a stray tear that had escaped. "It's okay, really. I didn't mean to upset you."
Your lips quivered into a small smile as you looked into his eyes, grateful for his understanding. "I know, Chan. It's just…."
He sighed softly, pulling you into his embrace. "Y/N, you don't have to help it. Your feelings are valid. If something bothers you, it's okay to feel that way."
As his arms encircled you, a warm sense of comfort enveloped you. Chan's soothing words seeped into your heart, reminding you that you were allowed to feel whatever you felt. You leaned into his chest, tears wetting his shirt, and he held you tight.
"You're strong, you know," he murmured into your hair. "Being sensitive doesn't make you weak. It means you care deeply, and that's a beautiful thing."
You sniffled, laughing softly through your tears. "Leave it to you to make me feel better, even when I'm being silly."
Chan's fingers brushed gently against your back as he rubbed soothing circles. "I'll always be here for you, Y/N.”

Lee Know:
As the credits rolled on the screen, Lee Know let out a content sigh. "That was a good movie, huh?" he said, his voice a soothing rumble against your ear.
You nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Yeah, I enjoyed it. Thanks for picking it."
He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head. "Anything for you, babe."
You felt a rush of warmth at his words. It was moments like these that made you appreciate how considerate and caring Lee Know was. He had always been attentive to your needs, and you cherished the way he understood you.
But just as the credits faded to black, your blissful moment was interrupted by a sudden noise from outside the window. It was a car alarm going off, and the loud blaring sound pierced through the tranquility of the room.
You winced at the sudden noise, and Lee Know tightened his grip around you, his protective instinct kicking in. "Ugh, that's so annoying," he muttered, annoyance evident in his tone.
You nodded in agreement, but something about the noise seemed to have unsettled you more than you anticipated. Your heart raced, and your eyes began to sting with unshed tears. You tried to shake off the feeling, reminding yourself that it was just a trivial noise and there was no reason to get upset.
Lee Know sensed the shift in your mood and looked down at you, concerned furrowing his brow. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked gently.
You sniffled, your voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just... the noise startled me, I guess."
He frowned, his thumb gently wiping away a stray tear that had escaped your eye. "You sure that's all it is?" he asked softly.
You nodded, avoiding his gaze. You knew your reaction was disproportionate to the situation, but you didn't want to burden him with your irrational emotions. You had always been sensitive, and sometimes it felt like a weakness.
Lee Know's eyes softened as he cupped your cheek, turning your face to meet his gaze. "You don't have to hide anything from me, you know," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. "If something's bothering you, I want to know."
Your lips trembled, and you felt another tear slide down your cheek. "I know I shouldn't be this upset over a stupid noise," you admitted, your voice cracking.
Lee Know's expression turned gentle, his thumb brushing away your tears. "Hey, it's okay to feel things deeply," he said softly. "That's just who you are, and there's nothing wrong with that. You're not weak for being sensitive, you're strong for embracing your emotions."
You sniffled, feeling a mix of vulnerability and relief wash over you. "But I feel like I'm burdening you with my emotions," you confessed, your voice barely audible.
He shook his head, his eyes unwaveringly locked onto yours. "You could never be a burden to me, Y/N," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "I love every part of you, even the parts you might consider flaws. And I'm here to support you through everything, even the moments when you feel overwhelmed."
As he spoke, you felt a warmth envelop you, like a protective shield against your own insecurities. His words were a balm to your wounded heart, soothing the self-doubt that had been festering within you.
"I don't want you to ever feel like you have to hide your emotions from me," he continued his voice tenderly. "We're a team, and that means sharing both the good and the tough moments. So, if something's bothering you, let me in. I promise I'll always be here to listen and support you."
You nodded, tears still trickling down your cheeks but now with a sense of acceptance. Lee Know pulled you into a warm hug, his arms cocooning you in a sense of safety and understanding. He held you tightly, letting you know that he was there for you, no matter what.

Changbin:
Amid the bustling gym, the clanking of weights and the steady rhythm of treadmills formed a backdrop to the scene. You were there with Changbin, trying your best to push through a particularly challenging exercise. The weights felt heavier than usual, and frustration began to bubble up within you as you struggled to complete the set.
Changbin, ever attentive to your emotions, noticed the change in your demeanor. He had a knack for picking up on your subtle cues, the way your brows furrowed just a bit more, and the determined set of your jaw turned into a slightly defeated slump. As you lowered the weights and sighed, he could sense that something was bothering you beyond just the physical challenge.
"Hey, you're doing great," he said gently, his voice a soothing presence amid your turmoil. "Remember, progress takes time. We all have our off days, and that's completely okay."
You managed a weak smile, appreciating his support even if it didn't entirely erase your frustration. "I know, but it's just frustrating. I used to be able to do this without any issues, and now..."
Changbin's hand found its way to yours, offering a reassuring squeeze. "It's natural for things to change over time. Our bodies adapt, and sometimes that means facing new challenges. But you're not alone in this. I'm here with you every step of the way."
As you attempted the exercise again, a combination of fatigue and your emotional sensitivity made your eyes prickle with tears. You couldn't help but feel frustrated with yourself for getting so worked up over something that seemed trivial in the grand scheme of things. But that was the thing about emotions—they didn't always follow a rational path.
Changbin noticed the glistening in your eyes and immediately put down the weight he was holding. He gently cupped your cheeks, his thumbs wiping away the tears that escaped. "Hey, it's okay. You don't have to be so hard on yourself. Your feelings are valid, whether they're about something big or small."
You sniffled, embarrassed by your vulnerability. "I know it's silly, but I can't help feeling like this."
Changbin's warm gaze never wavered, his fingers tenderly brushing against your skin. "You're not silly for feeling things. We all have moments when certain things hit us harder than they should. It's part of being human, and it's what makes you, well, you."
You appreciated his words, his understanding, and the fact that he didn't dismiss your emotions. It was something you loved about him—the way he allowed you to feel without judgment, even when you were grappling with feelings you didn't quite understand yourself.
Leaving the weights behind, Changbin led you to a quieter corner of the gym. He sat down with you, his arm draped over your shoulders as you leaned against him. "You know, sensitivity can be a strength too."
You sighed, feeling the tension slowly melt away as his comforting presence enveloped you. "I guess so. I just wish I could control it better."
Changbin pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. "You're doing just fine, trust me. And if there's ever a time when something bothers you, all you need to do is tell me. I'm here to listen."

Hyunjin:
You and Hyunjin find yourselves in the midst of a painting session. The room is drenched in soft, natural light, casting a warm ambiance that should have fostered creativity and joy. Hyunjin is passionately absorbed in his work, brushstrokes gliding across the canvas with determination. You, however, struggle to bring your vision to life. Frustration simmers beneath your surface as you attempt to replicate the vibrant image in your mind.
You swipe the brush across the canvas, the result falling short of your expectations once again. A sigh escapes your lips, caught between the desire to excel and the feeling of inadequacy. Hyunjin glances over, noticing the shift in your demeanor. Concern creases on his features as he puts his brush down for a moment.
"Hey, everything okay?" he asks, his voice a mix of genuine curiosity and worry.
You look up, forcing a smile. "Yeah, I'm just having a bit of trouble getting it right."
Hyunjin steps closer, his gaze softened by understanding. "You know, it's not about getting it perfect on the first try. Sometimes you have to let go of expectations and let your instincts guide you."
As he speaks, you feel a mix of gratitude and frustration. You appreciate his attempt at encouragement, yet the weight of your self-criticism is hard to shake off. You nod, trying to absorb his advice.
But as time passes, your painting continues to deviate from your vision. With each misstep, your frustration mounts. Hyunjin, noticing your growing agitation, offers more guidance – albeit in a way that inadvertently fosters further frustration. His words come out more as critiques than suggestions, and before you know it, your patience snaps.
"Why can't you just let me figure this out on my own?" you burst out, the words carrying a tinge of hurt that takes Hyunjin by surprise.
He freezes the brush still in his hand. "What? I'm just trying to help."
"I know, but it feels like you're just criticizing everything I do!" Your voice wavers, anger and hurt tangling in your chest.
Hyunjin's frustration is palpable, too. "I'm not criticizing. I'm just trying to guide you towards improvement."
"Well, maybe I don't need your constant guidance!" Your voice quivers, the sting of your sensitivity gnawing at you. You hadn't meant for your emotions to escalate so quickly, but here you were – caught in a one-sided argument, tears pooling in your eyes.
Hyunjin's features shift from frustration to confusion as he registers your tears. "Hey, why are you getting so upset?"
Your gaze drops to the floor, shame mingling with your tears. "I don't know, okay? I shouldn't be reacting like this, but I am."
Hyunjin's expression softens as he takes in your vulnerable state. He realizes that this isn't just about the painting; it's about something deeper – a sensitivity that you both know you possess. He lowers his brush, stepping closer to you.
"I didn't mean to make you feel this way," he says, his voice gentler now. "I forget sometimes that not everyone responds well to the way I communicate."
You sniffle, wiping away a tear. "It's not just you. It's me too. I know I shouldn't let things like this affect me so much, but I can't help it."
Hyunjin sighs, his gaze sincere. "You know, sensitivity isn't a weakness. It's just a part of who you are. And I should've been more considerate."
Your eyes meet, a mixture of emotions passing between you. "I'm sorry I snapped at you," you mumble.
Hyunjin places a hand on your shoulder, a warm smile forming. "It's alright. We both have our moments. Let's just take a breather and come back to this later, okay?"
You settle on the couch, the unfinished canvas a silent reminder of your earlier frustrations. Hyunjin wraps an arm around you, pulling you close. "You know, I admire your sensitivity. It means you care deeply about things, and that's a beautiful trait."
You lean into his embrace, finding comfort in his words. "Even when it leads to moments like this?"
He chuckles softly. "Especially then. We're both a work in progress, learning how to navigate each other's emotions."
You smile through the lingering tears, feeling a weight lifting off your shoulders. "I'm lucky to have you."
Hyunjin presses a kiss on your temple. "And I'm lucky to have you. We'll figure this out together, one painting stroke at a time."

Jisung:
You and Jisung are having a fun-filled game night at your apartment. The coffee table is covered with an array of board games and card decks, and laughter fills the air as you and Jisung engage in friendly competition. It's supposed to be a lighthearted evening, a chance to unwind and enjoy each other's company.
As the game progresses, Jisung's playfully competitive side shines through. He throws out witty comments and playful jabs as he wins rounds and makes strategic moves. His remarks have you laughing alongside him, but one comment catches you off guard and hits a nerve.
"Wow, you're not having a good luck streak tonight," he teases, a grin on his face.
You force a chuckle, but the comment stings more than you'd like to admit. You've been feeling emotionally sensitive lately, and the comment, while meant in jest, resonates with your current state of mind. You glance down at the game board, your enthusiasm waning slightly.
Jisung notices the shift in your demeanor, his expression softening with concern. "Hey, are you alright? I was just joking."
You offer a small smile, "Yeah, I know. Just got lost in thought for a second."
He nods, but his gaze lingers on you for a moment before returning to the game. Despite his attempt to move on, you find yourself feeling more affected by his comment than you expected.
You try to push aside the sensitive emotions that have been triggered. You focus on the games, engaging in the banter and laughter just as you always do. But in the back of your mind, that comment lingers, creating a subtle discomfort.
As you play another round, you notice that your thoughts are a bit scattered. You make a strategic move, but it doesn't quite go as planned. Jisung's playful teasing takes on a different tone in your ears, reminding you of the earlier comment.
"Ouch, looks like you're having an off night," he remarks, a grin on his face.
You glance at him, forcing a smile, but inside, you feel a pang of sensitivity. You didn't want his comments to affect you so much, but here you are, struggling to shake off the emotions they've stirred.
As the game night continues, you feel the weight of your sensitivity growing. You try to brush off the discomfort, but it's becoming increasingly challenging. You want to enjoy the evening and the company, but the comment has struck a chord you can't ignore.
Eventually, you decide that a break is in order. You put on a smile, hoping to hide your feelings and excuse yourself to the bathroom. You get up from the table and make your way to the restroom, closing the door behind you with a sigh.
Inside the bathroom, you lean against the sink, trying to gather your thoughts. The emotions you've been suppressing finally spill over, and you find yourself sniffling softly. You hadn't anticipated that a lighthearted comment during game night would trigger such a strong reaction.
Outside the bathroom, Jisung's concern hasn't faded. He knows you well enough to sense when something's wrong, even if you try to hide it. After a few minutes, he decides to check up on you. He approaches the bathroom door, his hand gently resting against the wood.
"Hey, is everything okay in there?" he asks softly.
You take a moment to compose yourself, wiping away your tears. "Yeah, I just needed a moment."
He doesn't sound convinced, and you hear a soft sigh from the other side of the door. "You know you can talk to me, right? If something's bothering you?"
His words resonate, and you realize that he genuinely cares. The vulnerability you'd been trying to suppress feels overwhelming at this moment. With a shaky breath, you open the bathroom door, revealing your slightly teary-eyed state.
Jisung's concern deepens as he takes in your appearance. Without hesitation, he pulls you into a comforting hug. "Hey, it's okay. You don't have to pretend with me."
Tears escape despite your efforts to hold them back, and you bury your face in his shoulder. Jisung holds you close, his touch a soothing balm for your frayed emotions.
"I'm sorry," you manage to whisper, your voice shaky.
Jisung pulls back slightly, his fingers gently wiping away your tears. "Don't be sorry. It's okay to feel how you feel."
You take a deep breath, the weight of your sensitivity slowly easing as he offers his understanding and comfort. "It's just that... your comment earlier, hit me harder than I thought."
Jisung's expression shifts from concern to realization. "Wait, the thing I said during the game?"
You nod, feeling a mix of relief and vulnerability in sharing your feelings with him.
He lets out a sigh, his thumb gently brushing against your cheek. "I'm sorry if I upset you. I didn't mean to"
You offer a small smile, touched by his genuine concern. "I know you didn't mean it that way"
Jisung's gaze softens as he holds you close. "You don't have to go through this alone, you know? I'm here for you, always."

Felix:
You and Felix are spending an afternoon together, exploring a bustling shopping district. The sun shines overhead, casting a warm glow on the streets as you stroll hand in hand, occasionally stopping to peek into storefronts that catch your interest. It's meant to be a carefree outing, a chance to enjoy each other's company and the city's charm.
As you walk, a group of girls pass by, casting a quick glance in your direction before bursting into laughter. Your heart sinks as you catch the tail end of their mocking glances. You feel exposed as if their laughter is directed at you, even though you can't be entirely sure. You clasp Felix's hand a bit tighter, a mix of discomfort and embarrassment pooling within you.
Felix continues chatting about something he spotted at a nearby store, seemingly oblivious to the brief encounter. He's always been the kind of person who radiates positivity and doesn't let minor things affect his mood. You don't want to ruin the day with your sensitivity, so you offer a small smile and nod as he speaks.
As you browse through a store, Felix's genuine concern hasn't waned. He can sense that something is off, even though you're trying your best to hide it. He decides to address the issue and approaches you, his voice gentle.
"Is everything alright?" he asks softly.
You hesitate for a moment before admitting, "Honestly, something kind of bothered me earlier."
Felix's expression shifts from curiosity to attentive concern. "What happened?"
You take a deep breath, summoning the courage to share. "When we were walking, I noticed a group of girls looking at me and laughing. I don't know why, but it made me feel self-conscious."
Felix reaches out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "You're a wonderful person, and those girls' opinions don't matter. If anything, their behavior says more about them than it does about you."
"Felix," you begin, your voice soft but resolute. "There's something I want to tell you."
He shifts slightly, his gaze meeting yours with unwavering attention. "What is it?"
Taking a deep breath, you find the courage to speak your truth. "I love you."
Felix's eyes widen ever so slightly, his expression a mix of surprise and tenderness. The moment hangs suspended between you, a pause filled with emotion.
Then, a heartwarming smile spreads across Felix's face, his gaze never leaving yours. "I love you too, more than words could express."

Seungmin:
You and Seungmin have always had a strong bond, but like any couple, disagreements are a natural part of your relationship. One evening, a difference in opinions leads to a heated argument that tests both your emotions and your sensitivity.
The topic at hand is trivial, something that wouldn't usually escalate into a conflict. But somehow, the conversation has spiraled into a full-blown disagreement, each of you holding your ground with growing frustration. As words are exchanged, your sensitivity to certain tones and remarks heightens the intensity of the argument.
"Can't you just see it from my perspective for once?" Seungmin exclaims, his voice tinged with exasperation.
You feel your heart clench, the sharpness of his tone cutting deeper than he intended. Your sensitivity to emotional nuances has always been a double-edged sword, allowing you to connect deeply with others but also making you more susceptible to feeling hurt.
"I am trying to see your perspective," you reply, your voice strained. "But that doesn't mean my feelings don't matter."
Seungmin's expression shifts, a mixture of frustration and regret flickering in his eyes. "I didn't mean to dismiss your feelings."
As the argument reaches a temporary impasse, you struggle to rein in your emotions. The sensitivity that runs through your veins makes it difficult to shake off the lingering hurt caused by the heated exchange.
Seungmin's brow furrows as he takes in your expression, his frustration fading into concern. He realizes that the argument has taken an emotional toll on you, and the realization dawns that his words have impacted you in a way he hadn't anticipated.
"Hey, are you okay?" he asks, his voice softer now.
You struggle to hold back tears, your emotions bubbling over. "It's just... sometimes the way we argue... it gets to me."
Seungmin's gaze softens as he comprehends the depth of your sensitivity. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize..."
Seungmin takes a step closer, his eyes unwavering. "We'll work through this together, okay? I'll be more mindful of your sensitivity, and you'll let me know when things get tough."
A small smile tugs at the corners of your lips, touched by his willingness to bridge the gap. "Deal."

Jeongin:
You and Jeongin find yourselves on a quiet rooftop, the city lights below casting a soft glow against the night sky. The stars twinkle above, and a sense of tranquility settles over the two of you. Stargazing has always been a cherished activity for you – a time to reflect, share thoughts, and simply enjoy each other's company.
Tonight, however, there's an underlying weight tugging at your heart. Lately, you've been feeling emotionally sensitive, and specific comments and situations are affecting you more than they should. You had hoped that tonight's stargazing would provide a moment of solace, a chance to open up to Jeongin about your feelings.
As the two of you lie on a blanket, gazing up at the constellations, you feel a mixture of contentment and apprehension. You decide to seize the moment and express what's been on your mind.
"Jeongin," you begin softly, "sometimes, I get a little more affected by things than I let on."
He turns to you, his eyes curious. "What do you mean?"
You take a deep breath, trying to put your feelings into words. "Well, like when certain things are said a certain way, or when I'm feeling overwhelmed, it gets to me even if I try not to show it."
Jeongin nods, but his expression doesn't change much. "I get it. We all have our moments, right?"
You feel a pang of disappointment – it's as if he didn't quite grasp the depth of what you were trying to convey. Nonetheless, you press on, hoping he'll understand better with a bit more explanation.
"Yeah, but sometimes it feels like the sensitivity is a bit too much. Like, I wish I could just brush things off, but I end up overthinking."
He offers a sympathetic smile. "It's okay, you know? You're allowed to feel how you feel."
His words are reassuring, yet you had hoped for a deeper connection, a moment of shared vulnerability. You let out a soft sigh, the stars above seemingly reflecting the emotions swirling within you.
As the night progresses, you both continue to share stories, laughter, and quiet moments of contemplation. It's a beautiful night, but there's a part of you that longs for a more profound understanding from Jeongin.
The conversation turns to dreams, aspirations, and fears. You listen intently as he speaks about his hopes for the future, his determination to succeed, and his worries about letting people down. He talks animatedly, completely immersed in the conversation.
You seize the opportunity to dive a bit deeper. "You know, Jeongin, I've been feeling a bit lost lately too. Like, I'm not sure where I'm headed."
He grins, nudging your shoulder playfully. "Don't worry, you'll figure it out. You're amazing at whatever you do."
You smile back, but a part of you aches. It's as if your words were merely skimmed over, not fully comprehended. You had hoped that sharing your uncertainties would spark a more profound exchange.
He yawns and stretches, a contented smile on his face. "Tonight was nice, huh?"
You nod, feeling a bittersweet smile tugging at your lips. "Yeah, it was."
As he gathers the blanket and begins to pack up, he glances at you, his gaze lingering for a moment. "You okay?"
You hesitate, then decide to voice what's been on your mind. "Honestly, I wish sometimes you could pick up on the things I don't say. Like, understand when I'm struggling even if I'm smiling."
Jeongin's expression shifts from confusion to realization. "Wait, are you saying… you've been feeling more sensitive lately?"
You nod, relieved that he's finally connecting the dots.
He lets out a sigh, his features softened by understanding. "I'm sorry if I missed that. I guess I assumed you were always strong, that you didn't need anyone to worry about you."
You let out a chuckle, a mix of amusement and fondness. "Well, even strong people have their moments."
Jeongin's hand finds yours, his grip gentle and reassuring. "I promise, from now on, I'll pay more attention. I want you to know that you can always talk to me."

I love you, I love you, I love you
Summary: Chan realizes you're feeling insecure and tries to make you feel better.
Pairing: Chan X gn reader
Genre: Comfort/hurt & fluff
Word Count: 1.8K
_ _ _
The past tended to creep up at the most unexpected times. It dug its claws into your shoulders and loomed over you like a dark rain cloud. It didn’t matter if you threw yourself into work or your hobbies, it always seemed to catch up at the worst times.
Today was no different. You and your boyfriend had the day off. It was rare for both of your schedules to line up perfectly, but today it had. It was one of the best days you had in a while. You woke up early and spent the day with Chan.
Throughout the day, you found yourself sharing soft kisses, holding hands, touching, feeling, loving one another. He truly was your other half. You adored everything about him. From his cheesy pick-up lines to his sense of humor, the kindness he showed every stranger; the way he lit up every room he was in and made everyone comfortable.
Not only did you adore him, but you looked up to him. You idolized your own boyfriend. You treated him like a child treated their favorite stuffed animal. You whispered words of affection with your forehead pressed against his. Out in public, you reached for the warm comfort of his hand. You wrapped your arms around him from behind and held him tightly.
Whenever you showed up, his dimpled smile grew brighter. His eyes twinkled and his whole face lit up. In his eyes, you were as radiant as the sun, but you couldn’t see yourself the way he could. At times, you felt guilty about it.
How were you supposed to love someone if you didn’t know how to love yourself? You tried and tried and tried, but your brain was against you. When you looked inside of yourself, all you could see was your flaws.
You didn’t understand the twinkling in your own eyes when you saw your boyfriend. You didn’t get to see the way the sun lit up your face with its warm glow when you were outside in the summer. You didn’t see how much your contagious laughter made others laugh. You couldn’t grasp your own soft tender-heart.
You couldn’t find one good thing about yourself. Of course you couldn’t, not when the people in your past pointed out every flaw. In your eyes, you were an unfortunate mistake. Often times, you talked yourself into believing the relationship you had with Chan was one formed out of pity.
Chan wanted everyone to feel loved. Maybe, somehow, you caught his eye and maybe he had loved you, at one point, but how could he continue loving you? You weren’t anything special. When you looked at your life, there wasn’t any fancy achievement.
You were ordinary and filled with flaws. They were all you could think about daily. After you went out with Chan today, they were on your mind again. Without meaning to, comments from your parents nagged at you. Especially, when the two of you accidentally stumbled into a pocket of paparazzi.
You tried to stay off of social media because you knew what the fans were saying. Their venomous words were like knives to your heart. You were already being haunted with past comments from some old friends and your family members. The added peanut gallery discourse only caused your worries to balloon.
When the two of you arrived back at your apartment, Chan insisted he was going to make dinner for the two of you. He asked you to go pick out a movie the two of you could watch afterwards. It was such a simple request and the domestic ambience of it all brought you comfort.
However, when you came across an old movie you used to find comfort in as a child, you silently left the living room and made your way into the bedroom you shared with Chan. The thoughts from your past had been building and now the dam was beginning to crack.
You quietly shut the door, made your way over to the bed, and sat down. You squeezed your eyes shut and forced yourself to listen to the soft pitter-patter of the drizzling rain. Much like your mood, the outdoors had been cloudy all day, but the skies finally let loose.
Your nails dug into the skin of your thighs. The soft stinging sensation forced you to suck in a deep breath. You had to stop thinking about the past. It was over, there was no going back. You had to get over it, you needed to get over it, but you couldn’t.
How were you supposed to forgive the people who were supposed to love you most? All those people you used to call friends, how were you supposed to drown out their words? That echo chamber of online fan discourse, how were you supposed to ignore it?
You were trapped in a web of insecurity. You could squirm and wiggle and claw. Once a limb was free, another stuck to the web. The sticky cotton material gripped on and refused to let go. The familiar sensation of tears pricked in the back of your eyes, but you refused to let them fall.
Chan could come in at any moment and you refused to let yourself ruin the day. Not when he mentioned this was the best day he had in the past month. You weren’t going to send his perfect house of cards crumbling.
You’d suck it up and swallow your misery. You always did and you probably always would. You’d let it churn your stomach, curdle your blood, and rot your teeth. Your insecurities sat unspoken on your lips, but you never had the courage to voice them to anyone.
Your boyfriend wasn’t stupid. He knew you had your issues. When he brought up mentions of your parents, you’d change the conversation. Mentions of old friends made your eyes widen. Whenever he complimented you, you’d shift uncomfortably and refuse to meet his eyes. His praise was met with an awkward dejection, but it never stopped him from continuing to try.
He’d do whatever it took to make you see yourself like he did. He’d go to the ends of the Earth to see your smile. He’d swim through the ocean and stumble through deserts. He’d do anything to make you happy. He wasn’t clueless about your behavior.
He kept glancing at you from the kitchen while you were in the living room. Too absorbed in your actions, Chan knew something was bothering you. He didn’t mention it because he didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, but he knew something was there and breathing down your neck.
When the two of you headed home, you started to become quiet. You were a terrible actor and were awful playing pretend. You acted like you were upbeat, but Chan knew better. When you disappeared into the bedroom for a few minutes, it didn’t take Chan long to pause his cooking and come find you.
He knocked before he pushed the half-opened door open and found you staring at the window. Melancholy surrounded you while you watched the raindrops slide down the window. Misery was seeping out of every pore and it was obvious.
“Hi, baby.”
“Hi,” your voice was monotone.
“Are you doing okay?”
“Mmhm. Just taking a breather and watching the rain.”
Chan frowned. He wanted to ask about your feelings, but he knew you were uncomfortable talking about them. In silence, he padded over to you until he stood in front of you.
Sensing his presence, you turned to face him. You glanced up at him and forced a smile on your face. He knew it was fake, it never reached your eyes.
“Do you want help with dinner?”
He shook his head, “I just came to show you how much I love you.”
A chuckle came out of you. A victorious smile grew across his face. “So what are you waiting for?” He asked. “Lean back.” You raised an eyebrow and he grinned in response. “Don’t you trust me?”
You shimmied back onto the bed. Without a word, he climbed onto the bed and straddled your waist. Before you could ask what he was planning on doing, his lips meant yours for a few moments.
Beneath the comfort of your boyfriend, you instantly relaxed beneath him. Your body melted into the bed while your lips danced in sync. You had done this plenty of times before, but it continued to send jolts of electricity through your body.
Chan pulled away and planted a fat kiss in the middle of your forehead. You blinked in shock. “Hey, what are you doi-”
He pressed his finger to your lips to shush you. “Just let me love you, m’kay?”
Another kiss followed on your cheek. Another on your other cheek. A few were painted along your jawline. He squished your cheeks together and planted another kiss on your lips and the tip of your nose.
At some point, you began to giggle. Obnoxious kissing noises and dramatic ‘mwahs!’ left his lips. A soft kiss to the side of your neck. Another to your shoulder. A few speckled down your arms. He picked up your wrist with both hands and pressed his lips against your finger pads one by one.
You tried to interrupt him again, “why are yo-”
“I love you.”
“I love you too, but wh-”
Another kiss was planted on the back of your hand. “I love you.” Another pressed against the bare skin of your thigh while you wore shorts. “I love you” Another on your knee. “I love you.”
A blush filled your cheeks. He continued planting his lips randomly around your body. There was nothing sexual about it. Pure admiration filled his eyes. He repeated the words over and over again and showered you with his love hoping that the words would stick in your head. He silently prayed you’d absorb the words like a flower absorbed water.
“I love you, I love you, I love you.”
He finished with a final kiss to your lips before he pulled away. “Can you feel it?”
“Feel what?”
“My adoring love for you, silly!”
A smile filled your face. “I can feel your love, yes.” Another laugh spilled from your lips and caused his heart to flutter.
He pressed his face closer to yours again. You could feel his breath on your face. With his nose nearly pressed up to yours, he smiled and let out a squeaky laugh. “I love you so much. Please don’t ever change for anyone, darling.”
Before you could respond, he collapsed himself on top of you and wrapped his arms around you tightly. He wiggled both of your bodies back and forth while he laughed. With a glance to your caught off-guard face, he laughed harder.
When the two of you finally calmed down, you made eye contact. Another sincere smile filled your face as you glanced at your boyfriend.
“Chan?”
“Hmm?”
“I love you.”
By some miracle, his grin stretched.
For him, you’d try to face the world again, you always would.

I Got You
Warnings: Mentions of Self-Harm, Cutting and the Like, some mentions of blood, Fluff, Protective boys honestly
Pairing: Changbin x Reader
Characters: Changbin, BangChan, Felix, OC Manager,
A/N: It's a comfort piece for @orchid-mantis-petals and everyone else struggling... You are a warrior... Don't forget it.
Tumblr media
‘This is bullshit!” You scream as you walk into the dorm. Slightly startling the inhabitants.
Changbin rounds the corner to the living room where you just plopped, with creatine in hand, “You know hobbies are supposed to have the opposite effect on you, right, Jagi?” He knows you love doing your hobby. As much as you despise your job, if anything helps you, it's going out and indulging yourself.
This was your only off day in the last two months. As much as you hate it, you need to be an adult, your words, not his. Your boyfriend and his friends know that he has offered thousands of times just to quit so that you can find a healthier job for you mentally, he’d take care of you. You just looked at him and said, “Yeah, no. I need to do things on my own, Binnie.” But this is what he was talking about.
He put the supplement away and said, “Do you want to talk about it or give me an address so that I can put my muscles to good use?” as he sat, dragging you to his lap, “Because as much as I say I do it for the look, I do it to protect you. And someone hurt my Jagi so… You tell me who I need to beat up.”
You chuckled as you said, “They did it again…”
Bin took a big breath and hissed out, “When you say ‘it’ you don’t mean scheduling you for a shift without telling you… right?”Then he took a breath and said, “Because if they did that then I… I am going to need addresses Jagi.”
Chan heard the big entrance and walked in from the bathroom, one look at Bin and he said, “Oh no.. okay how bad. On a scale of 1-10.” You could see that he just got out of the shower, some beads of water still clinging to his shoulders, sweatpants neatly tied on his hips.
Bin just looked at him and said, “They did it again…”
Chan’s face soured, “Oh ok so 11. Y/N. We talked about this.” he said as he crossed his arms.
You see, this is a very common occurrence at your job. For some reason, they give you no notice and expect you to telepathically understand that you need to come in on your weekend. This pissed everyone off especially…
There’s a knock at the door and Felix just walks in… he takes one look at his Hyungs and he knows, especially with the frustrated tears that are now rolling down your cheeks. “What’s going on? What happened?”
He dropped the brownies he just baked in the kitchen and came back in. Bin wiped some of your tears away as he said, “They did it again.”
Felix is usually the nicest person in a room. His face however reflected nothing but disdain, “A day off is a day off…. How hard is it for them to get???” He wiped his forehead, trying to flatten the scowl he had on his face.
“Guys it’s okay.” You said, knowing that all they are going to do is worry about you more.
Felix looked at you and said, “Actually not it isn’t, Cinnamon Roll. It’s not fucking okay. Not when you work so hard for so long that you can barely get out of bed… That is not okay.”
Chan said, “Okay screw this nooope.” He went into Bin’s room then his own and then his own. He emerged with his hoodie on and he threw the keys at Bin. “You are not going through this anymore, Angel. We told you. Naur.”
You looked and said, “Guys.”
Bin gently said, “Listen to me, okay. We talked about this. If they ever did this again, you said yourself that you couldn’t do it anymore. We told you, we are not going to let this happen, and you agreed, did you not?”
“Yes”
“Ookay so we are going right now. You’re done working there. Let’s go.” Bin left no room for discussion as you four piled into the car. These boys have seen you through it all, including passing out from exhaustion when they forced you to work doubles, and others spraining parts of your body you didn’t know you could sprain. That’s the times that are passing through Bin’s head. He hated seeing you like that… for a paycheck?? He couldn’t fathom it. Not when he makes enough and has a bed for you, a home if you say the word. No, he was done watching his Baby getting hurt for something he has plenty of.
Chan was always worried sick about you. He knows about your history. He remembers the first times he noticed your scars. He didn’t pry, didn’t want you to feel bad. That made him fiercely protective of you. When you did tell him and you pulled up your right sleeve, he wanted to cry. He asked if he could touch it, and you said yes. He noticed some of them connected to make a pair of Angel wings. “Ah, you have the mark of an angel.” He traced it, “A warrior angel… You are so so strong… I’m gonna call you that, Angel.” Since then that has been your nickname.
Felix got so angry because he knew the trigger for you was emotion regulation, and while no one was watching you were digging into your right forearm with your left.  He caught you once, 5 weeks ago. He had tears in his eyes as he helped you clean it. He asked you how long, what triggered it, and how he could help. He just wanted to help his Cinamon Roll. He went with you to tell Bin of the relapse and since then at least 3 times a week he’s at your place, helping take your mind off of the stress, even if it means him staying with you until Bin comes to yours.
He noticed in the car your left hand was scratching at the old scars again, he held his hand out and said, “hold my hand… I need affection.” as he fake cried. You giggled as you grabbed his hand, stopping the urge to fiddle.
As soon as the car stopped Bin hopped out and opened the door for you. When they walked in Bin knew who he was looking for as your manager glared at you and said “You’re late.”
Bin laughed as he approached them, “late for what? Another shift you didn’t tell them about?”
They were speechless, as he continued, “Do you know what they go through for you? I love them so much and all you do is hurt them… That stops today, okay. No two weeks notice, no nothing.”
Their jaw dropped and he said, “Oh doesn’t feel so nice does it? Not knowing if something was going to happen… Well your staff shortage, just got worse. If the last check isn’t in the mail on time, then we are coming back, and you will be dealing with 8 very pissed-off men who have a lot of connections and millions of people in their fanbase… Bad press wouldn’t begin to cover it. Okay? Am I clear?”
They just nodded and he said, “Good. Jagia, do you have anything you need from your locker?”
You said, “Yeah I do.”
Bin looked at Chan and he nodded, Chan switched out with Bin and said, “We’re going to have a little chat about leadership and manners. Okay?”
Bin went to you and escorted you to get your things. Once you have everything you both went back to the front and signaled Felix and Chan to fall back. You couldn’t explain the relief as you walked to the car. When Felix and Chan got in the car. Bin opened the door for you. Before you got in he kissed your scars and said, “I love you… all of you, it’s over, okay? I got you.” Tears started to paint your face as he kissed you. Before he started crying he guided you in and closed the door.
Right after he closed his door he said, “So I don’t know about everyone else but Y/N’s day is now free which means we go to their favorite pastry shop and get those Apple Cinamon Rolls and have a movie marathon. If you don’t like it too bad we are doing it anyway!!”
You started giggling as Chan cranked the stereo. You had a lot of things that you deal with yes, but this moment let you realize, that you weren’t going through it alone. Especially not with Binnie, Lixie, and Chan. ----------------------------------------------------------------
