The featured antique icon of the Resurrection represents the Baroque style in Russian iconography. The shapes of heavily built figures, expressive colors, and natural motifs on a silver oklad are some of the visible traits of the movement. The icon was painted in Central Russia in the middle of the 18th century when Baroque started falling behind under the pressure of the Classical era. Illustrations created for the exhibition «Fashion Reimagined: Themes & Variations 1760 – Now». Fashion Reimagined featured 50 examples of fashionable dress drawn entirely from the permanent collection of The Mint Museum. Encompassing a wide range of attire, the exhibition included men’s and women’s fashions from 1760 to 2022.

The exhibit had people holding up these illustrated pieces in front of a mirror as if they tried on the clothes as if they were paper dolls.

Some forgotten pictures of the last shoes I made a few months ago. The large one is the size for the normal feet of all my dolls, but for ballerina feet and for dolls made in porcelains that has a higher rate of schrinking I need to make adjustments on them. So I decided it is time to make a proper master for molding of the tiny shoes to make them always available😊 In any of the cases please take also in count that the shoes are no tidy fitted to the foot, they are a few milimmeters bigger, otherwise it would be imposible to dress the doll with stockings. To be sure the shoes will not fall, I make closures with ribbons, tiny buttons and transparent silicon elastic traps depending on the model. All the shoes made until now can be enjoyed in my featured instagram stories.
