As a child, Richard heard that he'd only get seven moments of happiness his entire life. He decides to ration them, but when he meets Thomas, he starts to worry about what happens when they run out. (angst, 10k, rated t)

Written for @barris-events Blue Moon Fest, using the prompts: pictures of a heavy sky over York and used ticket stubs, and "Place, park, scene, dark / Silvery moon is shining through the trees / Cast, two, me, you / Summer kisses floating on the breeze" - By the Light of the Silvery Moon.

The Barris Blue Moon Fest is coming to an end and I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed such amazing stories, art, ficlets, poetry, posts and everything that was posted.

This is my second (third) event in this fandom that I have been part of for now almost a year and I‘m so happy and glad to be a part of this community.

It all started with a fic and some silly little Tumblr Posts and turned in so much more. I have found a community and so many amazing people. I can post my fics and posts and share my ideas and headcanons with people who are genuinely interested in them.

This year has been so chaotic, amazing, painful and exciting and I am so grateful for this community that has always been some kind of anchor for me.

Thomas: 'What are you even trying to say, huh?'

I guess, I just wanted to say 'Thank you' to this community and every single person in here. Thank you for letting me be part of this.

Announcing the

We are very pleased to announce the third Barris-themed event, Blue Moon, running from the first to the last day of August 2023! There will be two full moons in August: on the 1st and on the 31st, which is both a blue moon and a seasonal blue moon. Both of these moons are also supermoons, which means they'll be closest to the Earth in their orbit, like Richard's work orbited him close to Thomas.

The prompts and fest info will be posted on this blog within the next few days!
