Did you knew that one of the most popular Pokèmons who got eventually discarded was Barunda? It was a balloon. Literally. ... A living balloon. Someone at Game Freak just made it and was like ‘’I’m a fucking genious’’.

Barunda was costantly in danger of being harmed by other Pokèmons due to its terrible softness, so the only safe places they had was if a Trainer was to capture it. In Trainer’s homes, it was relatively safe, and could be gifted to infants and kids to teach them how to take care of a Pokèmon without harm and the usual burns, poison, drownings or razor leaves of other Pokèmons.

TV9 appoints Barun Das as CEO to drive its national level plans

TV9 Group has appointed Barun Das as Chief Executive Officer to lead its plans for becoming a national player in the broadcast and digital news space.  Mahendra Mishra, who was acting as the interim CEO of the group, would now be Principal Advisor to the Board of TV9. The TV9 Group, which enjoys a leadership position in multiple languages in the South and West of India, recently launched TV9 Bharatvarsh in Hindi -- its first national news channel. Barun, a veteran of the media business, will be charged with the responsibility of driving synergies among all the channels and to build future-ready new businesses of the Group. Barun is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata and the London School of Economics. His last corporate assignment was as CEO of Zee Media Limited where he worked for over five years. Barun has over 25 years’ experience and before Zee News, Barun worked in leadership positions in ABP News, India Today Group, Astro All Asia Network in Kuala Lumpur and ABP Group, among others. So! Until we can get the sprites ripped from the beta of Pokemon Green this will have to do for now.

One I didn’t get to put on here is Baloonda/Barunda? Which is that balloon looking beta which most likely became Drifloon and Drifblim.

Trampel, that elephant looking one probably became Donphan? There’s others but I can’t quite say where their designs were rehashed.

Pandraken (the one that looks like a mario blooper) may have become Malamar, too.

One last thing to note is the water starter line in beta Gold is that it’s speculated that it may have inspired the Popplio line as does the seal with a flaming ball... Bombseal?? I think is what it’s called? I can’t remember.

Also I’d love to see a fire bear line like the Flambear line in the future!

como el perro que oye truenos–

¡Qué diablos! sólo son güenos

pa vivir entre maricas–

y nunca se andan con chicas

para alzar ponchos ajenos.

Pa vichar son como ciegos,

ni hay ejemplo de que entiendan,

ni hay uno solo que aprienda

al ver un bulto que cruza,

a saber si es avestruza,

o si es ginete, o hacienda.

Si salen a perseguir

después de mucho aparato,

Karnataka unveils state flag, to seek approval from Centre

The Karnataka's Siddaramaiah government unveiled an official state flag on Thursday. 

The flag or Naada Dwaja with red, white and yellow colours have state emblem “Ganda Bherunda”, a two-headed mythical bird in the middle.

The committee to decide the design of the flag headed by Kannada Development Authority (KDA) chairman S G Siddaramaiah submitted the new design to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the Vidhana Soudha on Thursday morning.

The CM has accepted the design and assured the committee that he will send it to the Centre. He said that there was no bar on state flags in the Constitution and all states can have their own flags.

Sources said the colours selected represented different things – yellow symbolises forgiveness, white for peace and red for bravery. 

The emblem will the printed in black and white on the central white stripe.

The state emblem of Karnataka is based on the kingdom of Mysore and is carried on all Government of Karnataka correspondence. 

It has the Sarnath lion symbol which is popular in India, below which is a red shield with the 'ganda barunda'. On either side are two lion-elephants called ‘sharabha’, a mythological creature believed to be 8-legged possessing the powers of lions and elephants.
