Creo que un pajarito como cualquier ser de este planeta necesita tiempo para estar hecho. A imagen y semejanza de... como su papá y su mamá..., se parece a la tita, al abuelo Eladio...

Quizá realmente no se parezcan a nadie y si a alguien se parecen es a aquellos a quien parecerse quieren o, sencillamente a quien con ellos está más tiempo. La simbiosis del comportamiento... 

Un feedback de proyecciones infinitas que se realizan de manera instintiva y automática y de la que tomamos consciencia sólo cuando en una fracción de segundo, en una ráfaga nos encontramos con el objeto rescatado de la memoria por el deseo de perpetuarnos.

Ok recasters stop dragging other hobbies into your bull shite excuses for art theft. As a Blyth collecter I'm here did say you cannot compare recasts and fakies. They ARE NOT the same thing. Icy, Blybe, CCE, Basaak don't even advertise as being a Blyth. He'll even TBLs have moved in their own direction. The biggest issue is/was factory dolls, Smuggled rejected parts turned into a full doll.

Blyth has since shut down and moved entire factories and because of this new factory dolls are fewer and fewer. None of these, aside from factory dolls which are given the least amount of respect, is a verbatim copy advertised as a legitimate Blyth. That is why people don't mind them. Recasts are verbatim copies advertised as legitimate. And you ass hats try to pass them off as legitimate. Fakie owners don't try to pass theirs of as legit either.. Stop...

De como descubrí las denostadas Basaak y de lo mucho que me gustaron

Navegando por los blogs ávida de saber todo lo relativo a este no tan pequeño mundo descubrí de su existencia. Por baratas me hice con varias. Soy perfeccionista hasta la médula y consciente de que hay que practicar y trabajar mucho para obtener resultados de calidad o sencillamente satisfactorios. Necesitaba mejor contar con varios ejemplares. Podría decir que tuve suerte ya que además llegaron en tan pésimo estado que incluso llegaron a devolverme el dinero. Muchísimo mejor.

Pobrecitas. Necesitaban ser intervenidas de urgencia y mucho amor y cuidados. Sin miedo me puse manos a la obra por aquello de que “no pueden quedar peor de lo que están”. Y claro partiendo desde su lamentable estado el milagro no tardó en hacerse manifiesto y tras un reflexivo carving y algún que otro exceso con el dremmel, aparareció el que considero el precedente de mi primer pajarito y que olía un montón a Pixar. 

En días sucesivos y bastante animada y esperanzada por mi evolución llegó Valeria e inmediatamente después Nella. En las que reconozco ya una forma concreta de hacer y lo inevitable en la naturaleza humana de proyectarnos en todo lo que hacemos.

Someone asked about making doll clothes to sell--wanting to know a good size.

Barbie is still the most common size for fashion dolls...but...I’m still not convinced that Barbie people want to spend much for hand-made clothes?  Fashion Royalty, yes, because those dolls are more high-end themselves, so the people buying them have more interest in high-end clothes, and the money to follow up.  Silkstone Barbie is the high-end Barbie, but the proportions are a bit different from playline Barbie, I think?

I think the bottom is falling out of the ‘”nice clothes for Monster High” market, but, again, this is from my own observations, not hard evidence.

The Japanese dolls, like Momoko and Blythe (both smaller than Barbie) also tend to be owned by people who are willing to spend more money for more elaborate clothing, but they’re more expensive dolls, too.  (And Momoko becomes unnervingly fragile as the dolls age.)  There are some inexpensive Blythe-like dolls, like Icy and Jecci and Basaak, but using those to model clothes might turn off the ~doll purists~ (ugh)

45cm and 60cm BJDs can be a good market for nicer clothes, but they’re quite a bit of upfront investment, even for the lower price companies like MiroDoll.  (You’ve probably seen enough about recasts to know to stay far far away from inexpensive BJDs on eBay.)  You said ‘smaller’, so  that would be the 45cm at the largest--there are smaller sizes that are common, in the BJD world, but, again, not my areas of knowledge.

45cm BJDs are fairly close in size to 15″ fashion dolls like Tonners, but that’s also a market I don’t pay attention to.

And!  There’s also the world of American Girl and similar size dolls, which I know absolutely nothing about!  But I know some people do make Very Nice Clothes for them. (And I dunno if they’re considered small.)

Sooo, basically, I don’t really know, so I hope people reading this will add their knowledge!
