Is this clan run with Lifegen or another mod? You mentioned that Honeyspring was the generated dark forest guide, and vanilla Clangen only has a Starclan guide naturally

LutumClan is being run on the LifeGen mod! I switch between cats depending on what I want them to do based on a few dice rolls! Originally, I was going to run this on regular ClanGen, but Windows kept deleting it off my computer!

LutumClan is also being played as a challenge run I found on the ClanGen Discord with modifications, with the first few moons being considered preparation time. Depending on the dice rolled, I switch to specific cats to enact their action (or in a worst-case scenario, their fumble).

Hi there! Thank you for your kind words :]

ClanGen will not be implementing breeds of any sort in the base-game, unfortunately. This is both because feral cats are highly unlikely to be purebred, and because many purebreeds are prone to serious health problems that would make survival in the wild with nothing more than rudimentary medicine difficult to impossible.

There are mods that add breeds to the game, though! We have all sorts hosted in the mod-library on our Discord server <3

Do you use any clangen mods?

The stress events and ability reveals are really neat and id love to play with them.

I use “The Woods” mod for flavor text and the woods mechanic! But no, the stress events and ability reveals aren’t a thing, they’re purely inserted into spritework as a fun visual tool, and to emphasize the “gamification” of the ForestClan sprite scenes! @rippleclan had a similar thing going on with their own spritework, where their spritework had “status conditions” that appeared under characters for things like injuries, increased like/dislike and skill improvements, which are all actually in base Clangen, but aren’t visually depicted in that way. I thought it was cool, so I just built upon it! You can see increased/decreased feelings, illness conditions, and of course, I added stress, which is totally made up.

The Stress status and “Stress events” visuals are heavily inspired by the Darkest Dungeon video game, where there’s a literal stress bar that you have to manage for your characters. If they get too stressed, they snap and become afflicted, stressing everyone else out in the party! And of course, this increases the chance of someone else snapping…or pulling through the madness, rarely.

Ive decided that drawing the entire snats from scratch was for the best because it was very difficult to convert normal cats into snail cats and make it look... not... weird... Obviously the original credit for these still goes to the artists who work on Clangen though, as that is still my base for every single one of these patrol artworks and parts of their work is still left over in my edits <3!!

btw. instead of being reasonable i did in fact start working on my clangen mod

im calling it dinogen, the sprites will all be finished first and i might release a sprite-only version and then ill move onto changing the text and other aspects of it so that it is like . fully dinosaured.

my plans are based on the hell creek formation btw since its easy to fill various roles in the game's ecosystem with dinos since we know so much abt hell creek, you can think of these guys as acheroraptors (though ingame theyre just called raptors)

Welcome to game of Lifegen!

This is an interactive comedy blog based on a lifegen run I’m doing! Every ask and comment affects how the story goes!

What is this about?

In this series, something or someone dies. Unfortunately for them, the STAR™️, a being that is kind of the god of a cat realm, decided they’re going to use them to make things more interesting in their cat realm, by throwing the newly dead fella into the mix. Each time they die, they get reincarnated into another cat. Will our main character save the clans? Will they doom them? Will they just complain and cuss out cats? Who knows!

What is this inspired by?

The idea came from my love of animes, and the silly mod for clangen, Lifegen! Two big inspirations were the Song Reincarnation Apple by PinocchioP and The Game of Life by Hatsune Miku.

What can I do?

As the viewer, your input does matter, you’re a part of the play! At all times you can ask our main character and even send gifts (not wild stuff lol) and as the series goes on, more cats will unlock to be spoken to! Just keep all asks SFW, it’s a cat for gods sake.
