#today on: curveballs i wasn't expecting#on of my staff's scout leaders called me to tell me last weekend one of our girls opened up to him#and confessed extremely worrying suicidal tendencies#and a lot of body image related issues#and apparently the main source of her depression is her parents behaviour that more or less explicitly make her feel like a failure#bc she's not excelling in everything always#and I'm honestly so tired of seeing middle schoolers who have to be accompanied by their friends from school to home#bc they their friends are actually afraid they will throw themselves under a tram otherwise if left alone#and of parents who dont understand that maybe commenting on your kids weight every fucking day is the fastest way#to make sure they collapse in the school toilet trying to throw up their lunch#sometimes i really wonder if some ppl want to have children just to own a person ???#idk#im tired
