my landlord is so nice i always feel so guilty I can't clean more and take care of the place better 😭

like im not kidding she's very genuine and kind. she thinks about affordability for me and tried to help me save money and is hesitant to even rent out at market price after i leave because market price is insane and unaffordable; she'd rather lose money and help rent to good people...

anyway ik many landlords are awful, even if theyre not the big company type ones, but there's also genuinely good people out there who happen to have spaces to rent out and understand that being a landlord comes with a lot of responsibility.

#this and my family also being small time landlords who try to take care od people #and dont jack up prices like crazy (or without a lot of notice -- my parents kept rent low until people recovered from the pandemic)#(before upping it by about a hundred dollars bc inflation was just too much)#this is why when ppl say landlords should all die im like #my dude #i understand #but i think you need more nuance #bc yknow the Chinese communist revolution went around killing landlord families with a quota #and even people who had just recently come into some money a few years before the war broke out #and got some land #still got murdered #my grandpas family was only spared because his neighbors were killed #and then they partitioned my grandpas house into six pieces and smushed them and their tenants families into them #nobody had enough space #that's not caring for people #and it wasn't like they were making their tenants homeless before either.#personal
