Broken buildings. Hands reaching out. The very world itself crumbling away. Izuku didn’t understand where he had ended up. There was a deep feeling of dread within his stomach, however. As if facing his own gruesome death, he shivered.

‘One for All?’ He thought. But no, this was different... Darker. A place he didn’t recognize. Looking down, he was...in his hero costume? The black fog that once obscured his body now had vanished. Only traces of it surrounded his form.

His heart dropped. There was someone else here. Directly ahead of the young hero was someone he hoped to never see again, but always knew he would eventually...

     “Tomura Shiguraki...”

Just a dream, that’s all it was. He knows that-- and yet. It has been nagging him for two weeks now. A nightmare that returned to him every night and got more intense and graphic every single time. Ignoring it was difficult from the very start because it’s about his worries, about the reason he continues to keep his guard up despite already having grown so close to the League. Despite everything, he has continued to worry about the possibility they all might stab him in the back and harm him or maybe even kill him horribly.

This is why he’s doing what he’s doing now-- sneaking up behind Shigaraki when he’s alone. He’s quiet and careful with his movements as he knows perfectly well how strong his ‘leader’ is. But luckily Compress is skilled too. Luckily he has years of sneaking around and kidnapping and killing under his belt.

He raises his hand and, for a second, wonders if this could be one of Twice’s clones. It shouldn’t be too surprising. Why would they inform him about something like that if they were planning on betraying him? Atsuhiro very quickly forces that thought to go away. This is not the moment to worry about such things! And if it does turn out to be one, he can just go look for the real Shigaraki. Everything will be fine. Once this is done, he’ll get out of here and maybe go back to doing things on his own again.

Shigaraki moves and Compress panics immediately, leading to him using his quirk and taking out a good chunk of the man’s body. . . Specifically where his heart is. Okay, so this isn’t a clone. Is he dead? Probably? Maybe? He has seen people survive with worse? He can’t think clearly and uses his quirk again. And again. And a fourth time. Oh, the guy certainly must be dead now. There’s so little left of him. The former magician uses his quirk to put that in a marble as well.

Compress regrets every single bit of this. But the thought that there’s no way betrayal wouldn’t happen at some point is a lot louder. He had no choice.

Reminding himself that repeatedly, he leaves and hopes he’ll never see the rest of the League of Villains ever again.

 “You’re better than this Tomura.” All For One sounded disappointed, like a father to a failing son. He never once rose his voice, his hand stayed laid against his deformed cheek. One mistake after another. This was becoming a sad story and not the kind he reveled in.

“Tsk,  tsk....you know full well I don’t stand for excuses my boy. You had one job and you couldn’t even afford that. This isn’t a game, dear boy. Must I remind you of that?” He muttered, tipping his head up slightly.
