Warrior Cats Prefixes - B - Part 2 [Bay - Beech]
the names listed here are my own personal headcanon names that I use when in reference to the canon Clans. Others are free to use them and you're free to disagree with the ones I use, but in the end they're the ones I personally like to use.
this list is liable to change as time goes on and my ideas change.
there will be around 5-8 prefixes per list. Some may have more, some may have less, but the general range is about 5-8.
/ / / / /
Bay
Bay- as a name comes from the wild bay leaves, which can be find growing in dampened soil, such as by streams, rivers, and near wetlands. That being so, it grows close to RiverClan and ShadowClan, though all five Clans have knowledge of it. It is a rare name in the Clans, except in WindClan, who is more likely to use the name. It's considered uncommon in WindClan.
Type: nature // subclass: plant [this name denotes that it is based off of a plant or something that is considered plant-like]
Requirements*: gray is commonly denoted for any cat named after a green plant, though brown and cream is not unheard of for Bay- cats, as the leaves often have a gold or brown ting to their color when dried.
Canon Examples: Bayshine [warrior of ThunderClan]
Random Examples [non canon]: Baycloud // Bayscratch // Baystem // Baywater
/ / / / /
Bean
Bean- as a name is a reference to specific seeds that grow in unique shapes and are often more easily edible than other such seeds. This name is thought to originate from outsiders, though it has become a name used mostly in WindClan. Despite being a name that the Clans considered WindClan-related, Bean- is still a rare prefix and isn't used all too often.
Type: nature // subclass: plant [this name denotes that it is based off of a plant or something that is considered plant-like]
Requirements*: cats with this prefix is usually gray or brown, matching other plant-related prefixes.
Canon Examples: None
Random Examples [non canon]: Beanclaw // Beandapple // Beanleaf // Beanwhiskers
/ / / / /
Bear
Bear- as a prefix comes from the Ursidae family of mammals. While never seen by Clan cats, these creatures pop up in stories of LionClan, TigerClan, and LeopardClan. A famous and well-known story is that of a reckless TigerClan apprentice gets himself captured by a hibernating bear and needs to be rescued by his LionClan and LeopardClan friends. It's a cautionary tale about not running head-first into unknown danger, though some kits and apprentices misunderstand this story as being about not exploring caves. Bears are known about in all five Clans thanks to these stories but is considered a rare name.
Type: mammal [this name denotes a type of mammal or something associated with specific mammals]  // lore [this prefix comes from stories told to the Clans and has never been seen by a Clan cat]
Requirements*: Bear- cats are often black or brown, as that is often the color associated with the bear from the legend. Larger kits in a litter tend to be given this name, as size is considered to be a bit more important than color.
Canon Examples: None
Random Examples [non canon]: Bearcoat // Bearjaw // Bearsnap // Bearwatcher
/ / / / /
Beaver
Beaver- as a name comes from the Castor fiber, aka the beaver. While having been extinct in the UK for many years, there have been reintroduction attempts. While beavers as a creature are treated more like whispers in the Clans, they are aware that beavers are real, especially after OotS. Beaver- as a name is generally uncommon, leaning more towards almost rare in the Clans. However, it is slightly more common - still uncommon - in RiverClan, who have a fascination with these river-stopping creatures.
Type: mammal [this name denotes a type of mammal or something associated with specific mammals]
Requirements*: Beaver- cats only really need brown fur. Sometimes this is given to heavier kits, but not generally.
Canon Examples: None
Random Examples [non canon]: Beavercurl // Beaverpad // Beaverteeth // Beaverwhisper

Bee
Bee- as a name comes from the insect of the same name, which comes in many shapes and sizes. Bees are especially common in the Clans, as it's hard not to know about bees when one lives in the wild. The Clans have a high regard for these hardworkers and thoughtful medics can learn to live in enough harmony with these creatures to be allowed to use their honey. Others choose the twoleg method of controlling fire and using the smoke to stop the bees. The name is common in all five Clans.
Type: insect [this name denotes a type of insect - this type also includes arachnids and mollusks, even though they are not insects]
Requirements*: Bee-cats are most commonly tabbies. Golden / cream tabbies and ginger tabbies are the most common, but generally cats agree that tabbies in general work without the need of color restrictions.
Canon Examples: Beenose [warrior of ShadowClan] // Beepaw [apprentice of SkyClan**] // Beetail [deputy of ThunderClan]
Random Examples [non canon]: Beedapple // Beeheart // Beelight // Beepurr

Beech
Beech- as a name comes from the beech tree, a tree that commonly grows in moist, well-drained soil. Keen hunters gather beechnuts in order to lure birds to areas where hunting birds is easier. These trees are known in all five Clans and is considered a common name.
Type: nature // subclass: tree [this name denotes a type of tree or a part of a tree]
Requirements*: Beech- cats can be light gray, like the bark, or brown like the wood. Beechnuts are also brownish in color, which leads to brown cats also being considered with the Beech- prefix.
Rarely dark ginger cats are given the prefix, as the beechnut has reddish 'hairs' on them.
Canon Examples: Beech Tail [kit of ThunderClan] // Beechfur [warrior of RiverClan] // Beechfur [warrior of ThunderClan] // Beechpaw [apprentice of SkyClan]
Random Examples [non canon]: Beechbark // Beechflower // Beechjump // Beechshard
*requirements are not actually required, but simply the most common attributes associated with the name. Often honor naming ignores these requirements, but these are still more like loose suggestions than any hard-set rules
**this young cat has the chance to have their full name revealed, as they did not die young, so this will be updated when the time comes

Ye shall be granted with more Epithet Warriors!
Tomatopool | Bearpaw (Bearsnap)
Tomatopool is a low rank patrol leader of BanzaiClan, he's close to taking his small loyal group of lesser warriors (and Ben, the weird kittypet who still hasn't got used to wild life) and creating his own group.
Bearpaw is a med cat that is way over her head. Her mom was the former medicine cat, but after a fire that destroyed the previous SweetClan camp and got her mom, she's been forced into the role since she's the only cat in the group that knows any herb knowledge.
These two (and Pinkwool aka Slyvie of CloudClan) meet when their Clans clash for a prime hunting spot along with the rogues, Glass and Terrain.
