Vinland manga fact for anime-only fans (no spoilers)

Instead of the manga starting with Thorfinn’s backstory it starts during their attack on the french fort. It is only after Thorfinn’s and Askeladd’s following duel, when Thorfinn is sulking on the ship, that his backstory is shown.
