insane relationship between thorfinn and askeladd he killed his father and throfinn spent his whole trying to kill him for that and yet when throfinn is in need of advice on what to do it's askeladd who shows up in his mind not thors

#that’s the thing that makes me INSANEEEE #but it makes so much sense. not just from the emotional perspective of Thorfinn caring about Askeladd a lot more than he wants to admit #but because Thorfinn was six when Thors died and we all know that for most of those first years you don’t retain a lot of those memories #so maybe he only has 3-4 years worth of memories with his father #whereas he has 11 years worth of memories with Askeladd #a lot more lessons and building (albeit reluctant) trust #he’s experienced the most things with Askeladd #so naturally in most situations he’d have memories that makes him think that Askekadd has the answers #and wow these tags got out of hand #sorry!#vinland saga #thorfinn #Askeladd #Thors #reblog
