patriarchy and biphobia really go hand in hand
#i dont believe in a materially expressed 'polysexual vs monosexual' dichotomy#idk how to articulate this Right this second#but i feel like radfem ideology has infested and tainted our understanding of it completely#like transmisogyny/biological essentialism/generalized transphobia really seem to be at the Core of why it is so prevalent#and even how some of the smartest dialectical materialist scholars Still manage to fall into it across the spectrum#because like at its core biphobia is so normalized but even bi trans people have very Reactionary responses to bisexuality#on Twitter you can make a joke about how bisexuals are annoying and that it's justified in shutting them down in discourse#and how you're bisexual but God aren't we awful#and literally Anyone can retweet it and agree with it#and sure openly bisexual men are often gawked at and sensationalized#but 99% of the time it's about bisexual women and idk why we try to kid ourselves#it's just unnecessary and cruel#and it's actually quite clear that the presence of bisexuals is not welcome#and that no space is sufficient for us to be#we're treated like agents of patriarchy#disease spreaders#liars#promiscuous confused predatory psychopaths#designed to destroy everything#and i wish i could defiantly assume that role#but damn it Gets to me sometimes#idk. been friends with too many people who think of me as an enemy
