if i may ask, how did the events of "betty" (s5ep48) play out in the swap au?

honestly, i imagine things play out pretty similarly to how they do in the original episode, with a few little differences. the crown is nullified by bellanoche causing betty to regain her sanity, yet her body is dying. she asks marceline to aid her in contacting simon through the power of hambo. however i don’t think simon would be the type of person to just jump through the portal impulsively. sooo i imagine rather than betty opening the portal to say goodbye, she actually opened it to directly ask simon to come with her- letting him know of the impending mushroom war that he most likely would not survive if he were to stay. this coupled with the chance to save betty convinces simon to leave his past and escape to ooo, where he enacts the rest of the episode pretty similarly to the original show- with him defeating bellanoche and restoring the magic to the crown. unlike simon in the original show pleading for betty to just let him die, swap au betty would be okay with simon enacting his plan. she’s not the type to accept death if there’s another option out, as much as she doesn’t like being the ice princess- plus, she has the tendency to just sorta go along with simon’s plans, as we know. after bellanoche is defeated, simon flees to further study magic, madness and sadness, in an attempt to save his fiancé- he even ends up writing a book on the topic because of course he does, and ice betty goes on with her life unaware of what even happened that day

Hello! I saw your recent post on posing, and I was wondering how you managed to capture the angle perfectly and how you managed to make the folds in the perfect places!

They look amazing!

Actually, I referred to references, so I can't speak confidently, but I'll share what I know. Generally, the most common pose is a semi-profile at a 45-degree angle, followed by high angle, low angle, and then frontal view in terms of frequency. Low angle is the hardest, so it requires a lot of practice, especially the face. For low and high angles, you need to give a sense of perspective as it goes forward or backward, even if it's just a little. That's mostly it.

Regarding angles, contrary to what you might expect, you need to twist them significantly to make them look natural. Most people draw too straight, which looks stiff and unnatural because it doesn't consider the weight distribution of the human body. But considering this balance is difficult initially and I also find it challenging. You need to boldly twist your own drawings to find natural angles.

As for folds, there are typical places where they form, like at joints, the waist, or depending on the direction of movement. It looks natural if you enhance the flow. A key point is to add triangular shapes where the fabric folds sharply. The material of the clothing is also very important. Depending on the fabric, you might hardly need to add folds. For example, the set pattern of folds in a woman's frill needs to be somewhat memorized.

But don't worry, it's not too much. Ultimately, it's important to get a sense of flow and feeling. I also learned by asking the same question to bellanoche-oxo. I'm in a similar position as you. Let's learn together!

I’m sorry wait hold the phone! Simon gave Betty multiple chances to not live a crazy life ! The first one comes when Bella Noche turns IK back to Simon and he opened a portal to say goodbye to her. That he understands if she left him for something better because she doesn’t deserve what he was going through. SHE came in and when Simon was actively against her fighting Bellanoche no one stoped her!

The second time is when they had an escape from GOLB’S stomach! He told her to leave the crown or to just wait to make the wish until they were free but she pushed him away not considering what his life is going to be like after she sacrifices herself.

She made selfish choices for his sake and Jermaine and Finn told her to stop doing that, they were not just talking about the past they were talking about moving forward from then on as well.

Simon KNEW always known what Betty was doing for him he just didn’t know what to do about it. He didn’t want to look ungrateful for her sacrifice in Fionna and cake but couldn’t exactly be thrilled and not feel guilty of the fact that she willingly gave up everything for him after he was against it.

Dude Magic Man Told Her To Let It Go! She doesn’t listen and said “Egh wrong I just have to try harder to get it back!” She said that proudly….

Everyone told her to stop and she didn’t. And now SIMON has to learn the lesson of letting her go? For him to stop choosing all HIS choices? Wtf even is that garbage?

I understand pre mushroom war and the whole young love at the bus stop thing that was just mushy dumb stuff who knows what their relationship was like between bus stop and crown time. But after the mushroom war in a matter of life and death Simon was not thinking about himself.

Betty was crazy and obsessed with him, Simon was trying to protect her.

Why does he have to learn the lesson why does he look like the bad guy ?? That’s not fair.

I know You have your own idea of the events of the bellanoche incident for the married wizard au but i like To think that Ice king invited Magic Queen To his infiltración To the ritual To get stronger Magic and she acepts and when the Magic deletion happens they both go outside they see their face on the puddle and then they see eachother and realized that Even in their Fluke state they found eachother and fell in love again as they just stare at eachother shyly placing their hands in eachother faces until Ash ruins the moment by saying "get a room You both disgust me" before being killed by the couple and they go to seek marceline

this is actually a pretty fun idea, and one im considering! i have not at this time decided fully what im doing with betty (the episode) in wizard married au. i dont think im turning just betty back, since shes gonna get de-magicked in you forgot your floaties so there’ll be plenty of time for just her, so either just simon or simon and betty together would be the route to go.

i do think simon might be de-magicked alone just because theres no real space to fit in simon and magic queen interactions, but who knows!

Day Fifty-one

After a very soggy day yesterday, and rain against the tent to sing me to sleep, I emerged this morning to a clear blue sky with the sun shining above the mountains and eagles crying overhead. Good morning!

Out from the green fields full of sheep and cattle, it's a short ride further to dip into the town of Taynuilt to use the facilities. Unfortunately, this is one if the very rare occasions where the water in the sinks at the public convenience are not suitable for drinking. Oh well! I have enough for the morning still, andcan sort that out later.

A short ride down the A road and the bike trail turna off to begin climbing up into Glen Nant National Forest. It's a beautiful tree-lined road but with some stiff climbs up through the valley, and the going isn't quick.

The slow going does mean I do at least spy a couple of red squirrels darting about to the side of the road. Nice!

After more work uphill the road finally gives a zooming downhill and around the corner emerges the impressively and aptly named Loch Awe, a 25 mile long body of water surrounded by forested hills.

And whilst those hills are very pretty themselves, it means a lot more work for the legs! Whilst there are some shorter ascents at first, the climbs begin in anger around Coillaig, with two big steep hills to slog up iver the course of the west side of the loch.

Around the top of the first hill I spy a nice looking stream bubbling its way downhill through the trees next to a layby, and with it hitting lunchtime I break out my water purification gear and get my water carriers filled up whilst getting some fuel in.

A very sharp descent takes the road racintback down level to the water for a flatter cruise past Dalavich, which offers a welcome break from the gradients.

It's only a short respite though, as the climb up through the trees befins in earnest once more, and despite the gathering clouds and wind taking the heat away from the air it's sweaty work despite the beautiful views.

Finally the hill is summited and begins a long, winding dive down to the end of the loch past Torran Bay and out into some nice country lanes.

There are some mild gradients present but after all the hills over the last few weeks, suddenly I'm riding along some lovely flat roads again! The Highlands were beautiful, stunning, and countless other descriptors, but the hills had become quite Sisyphean at this point, so getting some flat terrain now is a joy.

Onward! There's a brief spell if A road to contend with leading into Kilmartin, but it's not too horrible and I have a brief rest of the legs by the town itself, before the trail leads back off into the countryside.

A lovely long, flat, smooth stretch of road across Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve gives some nice therapeutic riding as the miles start to get eaten up, before a left turn at Bellanoch to something I haven't seen in months.

A canal towpath! The trail heads along the canalside here, up a short flight of locks and then it's time for a nice stretch of fully non-traffic flat riding, with the path surrounded by blooming flowers.

Those who know me know that I'm very fond of canals and so after the tough hills earlier, this is a great payoff to the effort of the day.

It's a lovely few miles ridden along here with swallows swooping over the water as I ride past Cairnbarn and spy a nice picnic bench by Lochgilphead which serves perfectly as a spot for a late dinner.

A few spots of rain begin to appear as I'm finishing up, and a check if the forecast shows a lot of rain heading in shortly, so I decide against heading on and get the tent pitched up by the canalside rather than have to setup in the pouring rain later. The timing proves fortuitous as the drops start to intensify just as I'm throwing my gear into the tent, and I dive in to get out of the weather for the rest of the evening.

Not too bad a day all told! I've been particularly happy to have had aome good stretches of flat ground to charge along. The weight on the bike does mean that steeper gradients make for damn hard work, and the last few weeks have had them in abundance. I'm sure I'll be facing plenty more yet, but it's been pleasing to have had some good stretches without them for a change.
