Always on the crest of the wave, even at 93 years old
Tumblr media
I like, in fact, I have always liked, because it is an actor who has only two displayed expressions: one with the hat and the other without a hat ". It's been more than 60 years from the statement that he made Sergio Leone Clint Eastwood. From the Italian director's favorite actor in the famous 'Trilogy of the dollar' planetary star able to stock up on Oscar Awards, the American actor and director - but also a film producer and composer - has come a long way, becoming one of the landmarks Hollywood. Today Clint Eastwood celebrates 93 years.
Tumblr media
It was 1964 when a stranger Clint Eastwood - who had assets of a handful of films not exactly memorable, but he had made the center on television with the series westerns 'Rawhide' ( 'Rawhide') - was chosen by Sergio Leone to interpret the bounty killer unnamed 'for a Few dollars More'. The success was immediate, so much so that Eastwood starred also in two other Leone's films - 'For a Few Dollars More' (1965) and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' (1966) - which would then formed the 'Trilogy dollar'.
Tumblr media
Besides Leone, another director "cult" was important in Eastwood's career: Don Siegel, considered one of the masters of the detective film and action. With American filmmaker Eastwood all very well he turned five films, success: 'Coogan's Bluff' (1969), 'Mules for Sister Sara' (1969), 'The long night of the soldier Jonathan' (1971), ' Dirty Harry: the case Scorpio is yours! '(1971) and' Escape from Alcatraz '(1979).
A lot of the acclaimed masterpieces by critics and audiences - 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' (1976),' Bird '(1988),' A Perfect World '(1993),' The Bridges of Madison County '(1995),' Power absolute '(1997),' Mystic River '(2003),' Million Dollar Baby '(2004),' Flags of Our Fathers '(2006),' Letters from Iwo Jima '(2006),' Changeling '(2008)' Gran Torino '(2008),' Invictus - invincible '(2009),' J. Edgar '(2011),' American Sniper '(2014),' Sully '(2016),' The Courier - The Mule '(2018),' Richard Jewell '(2019) - won many awards. Four Academy Awards - two for 'Unforgiven' (1992, Best Film and Best Director), same for 'Million Dollar Baby' (2004, Best Film and Best Director) - plus one memory to the Irving G. Thalberg assigned in 1995. Eastwood also he won six Golden Globe.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tantissimi i capolavori acclamati da pubblico e critica – ‘Il texano dagli occhi di ghiaccio‘ (1976), ‘Bird‘ (1988), ‘Un mondo perfetto‘ (1993), ‘I ponti di Madison County‘ (1995), ‘Potere assoluto‘ (1997), ‘Mystic River‘ (2003), ‘Million Dollar Baby‘ (2004), ‘Flags of Our Fathers‘ (2006), ‘Lettere da Iwo Jima‘ (2006), ‘Changeling‘ (2008) ‘Gran Torino‘ (2008), ‘Invictus – L’invincibile‘ (2009), ‘J. Edgar‘ (2011), ‘American Sniper‘ (2014), ‘Sully‘ (2016), ‘Il corriere – The Mule‘ (2018), ‘Richard Jewell‘ (2019) – molti i premi conquistati.

beenzino - monet (english lyrics translation)
beenzino released monet as a demo on soundcloud in 2021. it didn't change much after release. 'beef' can mean 2 things in this context. first, the meat that we eat. second, the slang 'beef', such as 'i have beef with him', also meant as 'i have a problem with him'
*chorus*
aish fuck i can’t eat anymore

how dare you try and scam me?
Monet

not a monitor*, but the one hanging on the wall

take back the imitations, i want the authentic one

so fuck off, you can’t deceive my eyes
the fucking leeches* here
*꼴뚜기 can mean ‘leeches’ but are LITERALLY baby octopuses
don't fuck with the octopus
they think they are already accomplished

Understanding the Online Tutoring Landscape in the UK

The online tutoring scene in the UK is hotter than a fresh cup of tea. With the convenience of learning from the comfort of your couch, it's no wonder students are flocking to online tutors in droves. The industry is booming, offering a plethora of subjects and expertise just waiting to be unlocked with a few clicks.
Trends and Opportunities for Online Tutors
From STEM subjects to language learning, the opportunities for online tutors in the UK are as vast as the Queen's hat collection. With the rise of digital learning platforms and the increasing demand for personalized education, online tutors have a chance to shine like a polished button. Keep an eye on emerging trends and ride the wave to success.
Developing an Effective Online Tutoring Strategy
Setting Clear Learning Objectives and Goals
Like a GPS guiding you through the streets of London, setting clear learning objectives and goals is crucial for online tutoring success. Define what you want your students to achieve, create a roadmap for getting there, and watch as they navigate their way to academic triumph.
Creating Engaging and Interactive Learning Materials
Gone are the days of dusty textbooks and boring lectures. Engage your students with learning materials that sparkle brighter than the Crown Jewels. Utilize interactive quizzes, videos, and games to make learning as fun as a royal garden party.
Leveraging Technology for Engaging Virtual Learning
Utilizing Interactive Whiteboards and Screen Sharing Tools
Say goodbye to boring old chalkboards and hello to interactive whiteboards that bring lessons to life. Use screen sharing tools to share resources, work collaboratively, and create a virtual classroom that rivals Hogwarts (minus the magic wands).
Integrating Video Conferencing for Real-Time Communication
Bridge the digital gap with video conferencing to provide real-time communication that's smoother than a cup of Earl Grey. Connect with your students face-to-face, answer questions on the spot, and create a sense of camaraderie that makes learning feel like a walk in Hyde Park.
Ensuring Student Success through Personalized Support

Just like a bespoke suit from Savile Row, personalized learning plans are tailored to fit each student's unique needs. Identify strengths, tackle weaknesses, and watch as your students excel with a plan that's as one-of-a-kind as Big Ben.
Providing Timely and Constructive Feedback
Feedback is the key to improvement, like adding sugar to your tea - it's essential. Offer timely and constructive feedback to guide your students towards academic greatness. Praise their achievements, address areas for improvement, and watch as they blossom into confident learners ready to take on the world.**Navigating Challenges and Overcoming Obstacles**
Teaching online comes with its fair share of hurdles to jump over, from dodgy Wi-Fi connections to students who seem more interested in the latest than quadratic equations. When facing technical glitches that rival a sci-fi plot twist, take a deep breath, maybe even mutter a quick prayer to the Wi-Fi gods, and remember that even the most seasoned online tutors have battled with the dreaded buffering wheel.
**Addressing Technical Issues and Connectivity Problems**
As an online tutor, you'll become a pro at troubleshooting tech hiccups faster than you can say "unmute button." Whether it's the classic "Can you hear me now?" or the heart-stopping frozen screen mid-explanation, your ability to navigate these issues with a calm demeanor and a touch of humor will win you brownie points with even the most tech-challenged students.
**Managing Different Learning Styles and Abilities**
Not all students are cut from the same academic cloth, and that's what makes teaching such a dynamic and rewarding challenge. From visual learners who thrive on colorful infographics to hands-on kinesthetic learners who may accidentally topple their science experiment, adapting your tutoring style to cater to diverse learning preferences will not only make you a rockstar tutor but also a student favorite.
**Building a Strong Reputation and Growing Your Online Tutoring Business**
Ah, the age-old question of how to make your online tutoring business stand out in a sea of virtual learning options. Fear not, for with a hint of marketing pizzazz and a sprinkle of innovation, your tutoring services will be the talk of the (online) town in no time.
**Marketing Your Services Effectively**
Picture this: a dazzling website showcasing your tutoring expertise, witty testimonials from grateful students, and perhaps even a catchy jingle that gets stuck in everyone's head. Marketing your online tutoring services is all about creating a buzz that leaves potential students clicking that "Book Now" button quicker than you can say "A-star student reviews."
**Expanding Your Reach and Diversifying Your Offerings**
Why limit yourself to teaching algebra when you could also offer mind-bending chess lessons or even a crash course in mastering the art of the perfect cup of English breakfast tea (milk first, always)? Diversifying your tutoring offerings not only attracts a wider audience but also showcases your versatility and passion for education in all its quirky forms. In conclusion, by embracing the strategies outlined in this article and adapting to the evolving online tutoring landscape, educators in the UK can position themselves for success and make a positive impact on their students' learning journeys. With dedication, creativity, and a commitment to continuous improvement, online tutors have the opportunity to not only thrive in their virtual teaching roles but also contribute significantly to the academic growth and achievement of their students. London’s unmissable riverside landmarks
Flowing from Gloucestershire in the West Country to the North Sea, the River Thames is a true icon of Central London. This vast waterway is lined with important historic and modern buildings and attractions. These are the key riverside landmarks to visit while staying at hotels in London.
Tower of London
The Tower of London is a mediaeval palace that has been used as a royal residence, prison, and execution ground. Now a museum, this is the place where the Crown Jewels are on display to the public. Other highlights include the ravens on the lawn, the armour of King Henry VIII, and the Traitor's Gate.
London Eye
For the best views of the capital, this is the Central London landmark to pin to your map app. Comprising fully-enclosed capsules, each lap on the London Eye takes 30 minutes. You will see most of the riverside landmarks included on this list.
Tower Bridge
Not to be confused with the mediaeval palace, Tower Bridge is the combined bascule and suspension bridge in front of the Tower of London. In fact, Tower Bridge is often mistaken for London Bridge, which is far less grand in appearance. You can photograph the bridge from the riverside or pay to access the glass-floored walkways.
London Peace Pagoda
The London Peace Pagoda is located in Battersea Park, one of Central London’s lesser-known green spaces. The monument represents the life of Buddha and symbolises kindness and peace.
Palace of Westminster
Also known as the Houses of Parliament, the Palace of Westminster is the seat of the UK government. Big Ben (the Elizabeth Tower) stands to attention at the eastern end of the building. The best place to appreciate the facade is from the South Bank, outside St Thomas’ Hospital. Guided tours are available during the summer.
Tate Modern
Occupying a former power station, the Tate Modern displays an immense collection of contemporary artwork from international and British creators. The building strikes a dramatic scene from the Thameside. Meanwhile, the gallery is one of the best things to do in Central London on a rainy day.
Shakespeare’s Globe
The Globe is a replica of the original Elizabethan theatre where Shakespeare’s comedies, tragedies, and histories were performed. Tours of the interior operate all year while the summer months see the venue host open air productions with the option to sit or stand. These shows are one of the best night activities while staying at hotels in London.
HMS Belfast
Docked near London Bridge in Central London, this World War II warship is now a museum under the Imperial War Museum umbrella. Spread over nine levels, your interactive visit will include solving nautical puzzles and learning how to steer the ship.
Old Royal Naval College
Designed by Sir Christoper Wren, the Old Royal Naval College is situated on the riverbank at Maritime Greenwich. The chapel and Painted Hall are open to the public and are free to visit. Opt to take the Docklands Light Rail or riverboat from hotels in London and make a day of it in this village-like neighbourhood.
