every single second of that was a choice. all of it. specifically the eye contact?? and how they made absolutely certain it could not be interpreted any other way. they maintained eye contact until the very second that eddie passed out. that was a Choice™ and i am Looking i am Seeing i am Perceiving. the shot that was a direct parallel to their make up scene from the lawsuit arc? a Choice. the way the sound faded out? and time slowed to a halt? a Choice. they really made choices and i am both excited and terrified to see the results of those choices in the finale and beyond it

i agree! eddie's arc in particular combined with buck's actually helped me be more patient with myself, especially in connection to realizing you can choose your own family. the whole removing yourself from a toxic environment and finding your happiness and buck's "i'm going to be something." but really all of their stories contribute lessons that i needed and that i still need. it's a really special show and it's very dear to my heart 💖

yes!! all their stories hold such a special place in my heart and they taught me so many things!! i love how this show really focuses on the importance of there being several perspectives to any situations and also i love how this show leans heavily on the concept of hope! like i’m always filled with this hopefullness towards the future when i watch this show, i love that so much💖 and i can appreciate it not being about rainbows and butterflies all the time? like there are sad endings and all and that’s just makes it more real and relatable?? uuugh i’m in love with this show seriously💖

choices were really made huh. he was reaching for him before he even fell, before it even clicked. and then when he reaches again, it's a familiar response to him. reaching for the saint christopher necklace, reaching for the picture of christopher and shannon, reaching for buck. reaching for someone he loves. i'm gonna stop rambling about this because i could go on for hours but!! it just hurts in exactly the right way

actually no, never stop talking! this such a precious thing to focus on😭 i could listen to this for hours seriously, it’s my favourite part about that scene, eddie reaching for buck with that little strenght he has left. THAT WAS A CHOICE. they could have just done a scene where eddie falls down and eddie loses conciousness immediately or he is just staring blanky into the distance trying to understand what happened but no he is doing that Intense Eye Contact™ with buck and my brain won’t shut up about that being a concious choice on the writers’ part

yes!! and just seeing it represented so well in this show really helped me with coming to terms with the concept of you choosing the people to surround yourself with in your personal life, i’ve learned so much and it did wonders for my mental health i think!!
