I don't intend to ever talk about where I live specifically (internet safety duh) but I can say I'm not from an english speaking country and my first language isn't english, which might be surprising based on how I come off and talk tbh

#I was very into english all my life #and I use it quite a lot especially in the past few years to talk to ppl #my accent isn't recognizable compared to most #<- this is a neutral fact. *strong* accents are good and normal #I also never related to my country's culture #very patriarchal+christian+homophobic #the golden trio #and the government is quite problematic #the church is involved in laws. need I say more #also there are many toxic nationalists here #just...a very unpleasant place to live #I always dreamed of leaving and atp ik I will #besides internet safety i just don't wanna be associated with my country #I hardly relate to ppl here #especially for being so inhibited for the past 7 years or so #I barely interacted with anyone irl tbh #I don't even rly relate to queer ppl irl #which is alienating to say the least #but yes i might seem american and i am not lol #(I don't like the US either btw)#rant #personal #english speaking #non native english speaker #language #second language #culture #antinationalism #christian hegemony
