I’ve been wanting to ask this for so long but 🥺 how would the pack&mc be on mc’s birthday?
ahhhhhh this is such a cute question? i think i might have answered it before, tbh...and this might get angsty...but i think the pack might fuck up the m/c's first two birthdays? the first one because she literally forgets to tell them and they're a little hurt because "you didn't think we'd want to celebrate you?" and the next one...because they plan a surprise for her and she goes through the whole day thinking that they just forgot 🥺
im imagining her face falling as she walks in to the house after being sent on some wild goose chase, maybe one of the alphas got demanding and she felt like a bad omega (of course they just did it so that she'd be out of the house so they could set up gifts and games and stuff) and she wants to be happy as everyone shouts suprise but honestly- it kinda sends her into a full blown panic attack because her ptsd can't handle suprises?
i bet namjoon and jin usher out her friends while the pack decends (most of them from jungkook's gym, one of the neighbors she's made friends with, and a queer they/them alpha that her and tae go shopping with sometimes) and she really tries not to ruin it but the pack very quickly transition into comfort not excitement.
the pack pull her into the nest and talk it through and they realize just how badly they fucked up. i think yoongi and hobi probably take it the hardest- yoongi because he thinks he should have known what she wanted better (he's her /mate/ for christs sake) and hobi because he really wanted her first real birthday with the pack to be special 🥺
i bet jk's even sniffly wrapped around her waist, very very upset with himself because he prides himself on throwing the best birthday parties for the pack. none of them are bakers like her but him and tae worked so so so hard on the cake- she even put little hearts on it too 🥺
eventually i bet they have pizza and facemasks in the nest and open up her presents even though their hearts really aren't in it, they promise to make it up to her, each in their own special way.
for hobi- she gets a beach day with just the two of them, maybe a comfy air mattress set up with blankets to watch the sunset, all of their favorite munchies and junk foods.
she gets a botanical garden day with jin where he hires a photographer to do a little photoshoot, and they walk arm and arm through the flowers, i bet he'd also get her something expensive but classy, little diamond earings or something like that.
for yoongi- she'd a cooking class night where they drag the rest of the pack along, they both get fantastically drunk and make an absolute fool of themselves. afterwords the pack drive them home and and end up pushing all of the furnature to the sides of the house and sock skating together or maybe he gifts her a pair of rollerblades and the pack try them out.
i think jk's gift would be a little bit more...sexual in nature, maybe jk would ask the doms to splurge and pick out some sort of fucking machine 🥰 or her own set of bunny ears and a bunny tail. or maybe they'd negotiate something new but risky- like double penetration or a 'fake' glory hole of some sorts where she has to guess which of the pack is fucking her- all orchestrated by the darling maknae <3
i think namjoon would gift her a very very expensive nesting nook- kind of a built in cave with carefully apulstered sides that cost a small fortune designed spesificially for omegas with a built in little door so that she can close it and have it feel all safe and cozy. noodle makes it his home almost immediatly- and i just picture nj coming home after a long day and looking for her finding her in it all curled up and safe smelling- exactly where the pack alpha wants his smallest pup <3
jimin and tae's gift would be sort of joint, a small shopping spree and then fancy afternoon teatime with all the fancy finger sandwitches and stuff. maybe some hot chocolate and cakes to finish it off. i just imagine them coming home in the afternoon and the real treat is just getting to cuddle with both of them all close and happy, maybe the m/c wakes between the two of them and jimin's tangled around her and they just lounge until the rest of the pack get home and join them in the nest, all of them close and cuddly <3

The guitar Eddie Van Halen used in the music video for Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" is going up for auction at Sotheby's.
The custom-made Kramer axe has a minimum bid of $1.8 million, and is valued at between two and three million dollars.
According to Sotheby's, stage-used and -filmed guitar was custom made by Paul Unkert of Kramer Guitars for Eddie Van Halen, including important innovations customized for Eddie's evolving guitar technique. It served as one of Eddie Van Halen's primary guitars in 1983 and 1984. The guitar was gifted by Eddie Van Halen to the band's retiring drum tech Gregg Emerson around 1990. Emerson subsequently gave the guitar to his nephew, who sold the guitar to Neal's Music in Huntington Beach, California. Neal's Music then sold the instrument to its current owner.
The guitar comes with a letter of provenance by Unkert, a signed photograph from Eddie Van Halen, its original case with tour and Warner Brothers tags, and the strait jacket and white gloves worn by Van Halen in the video.
Unkert's accompanying letter details the guitar's history: "The 'Hot For Teacher' Van Halen [guitar] was built by me at the Kramer Green Grove Road Plant in Neptune, NJ around 1982-1985/ #CO176. Look for 'Unk' stamps on Neck and Body. It was my last project for Ed and Kramer."
Bidding for the guitar closes next Tuesday, April 18.
"Hot For Teacher" appeared on Van Halen's album "1984". The Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) objected to the song after its original release, calling for it to be pulled from both the radio and television, due to the track's sexually suggestive lyrics referring to sex with a teacher, and a female teacher stripping in the video, among other issues.
In 2009, "Hot For Teacher" was named the 36th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.
The "Hot For Teacher" video was filmed at John Marshall High School in Los Angeles, California. Because the school had been shut down due to insufficient funds at the time the video was recorded, Van Halen not only paid to rent the school for four days of filming but they also contributed money to the city to help get it reopened.

In honor of The Race of Gentlemen 2019 coming up this October 3-6 in Wildwood, NJ I will be sharing photographs for the next short while from TROG history. Unfortunately, it is not in the cards for me to make it this year so I will have to survive on memories–for now. - - This is a photo from 2017 and is a group of friends, Carter (aka Dick DeLuca), Jon and Drew of the Rolling Bones Circus. One of my absolute favorite things about the world of hot rods and racing culture is the family of people that are a part of it all. The people like Mel and the Oilers who work so hard to make an event like this kick serious ass and people like Ken, Keith, Matt of the Rolling Bones who build (I’m my opinion) some of the best hot rods on the road today, are some of the most passionate, driven, crazy and kind hearted people that I know. They have each and every one welcomed me and my work into their worlds and I am richer for it. Truly, I wouldn’t be able to experience and capture on film the work that I love so much without their help and friendship. A HUGE thanks to all of you who are involved in this passion that we all share and for supporting me over the years in capturing so many incredible moments and stories. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to you all. - - #trog #theraceofgentlemen #racingculture #hotrod #speedculture #wildwood #newjersey #racing #family #rollingbones #friends #timeless #analog #film #mediumformat #scottphotoco #beach www.ScottPhoto.co (not .com) (at Wildwood, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/B27u7CeH-Dw/?igshid=1c3hpwxcbywm1

WORKSHOP SHOUT OUTS | MATT WOLHRAB | VANS US OPEN
We’re featuring artist and maker Matt Wolhrab–the awesome person behind the street market booth Leon Washere at the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach. Known for his hand-colored animations of skateboarding and surfing, Matt hosted a flip-animation book workshop, where folks could draw and bring their own unique creations to life. We chatted with Matt about his artwork, his booth, and the inspiration behind some of his animations.
Take the Leap!
Photographs by Celina Kenyon
Introduce yourself. My name is Matt Wohlrab and I’m an artist living and working in southern New Jersey.
How would you describe yourself and your art?  I try to keep things simple, but I can still be a total spaz at times. My work is mainly focused on hand-colored animations of skateboarding and surfing. I paint and have other outlets but for the most part my times spents hunched over 3”x3” squares studying and meticulously coloring individual frames from old skate videos.
How did the idea of painting and re-animating photos and video clips of skateboarders and surfers come about? I know now the technical term for it is called rotoscoping, but at the time I was only messing around and happened upon it. I’m sure I’d seen it before somewhere. Everything’s been done before.
What’s the story behind the “Leon Was Here” name? How did that start and why do you think it stuck? My friends and I have a DIY spot where the local riffraff like to congregate. Nothing wrong there, but they have a penchant for shitty grafitti. One day we’re there and I keep seeing Leon Washere tagged all over. At this point I’m getting angry and start asking who this kid Leon Washere is and if anybody knew him. My friend turns to me and points out it says “Leon Was Here.” I cooled down and we had a laugh about it. This was before I made the animation stuff, so that night I went home and changed my ig handle to leon_washere as an inside joke. I mean, if I knew people where going to start addressing me as Leon, I probably wouldn’t have done it. It too late now. Actually there’s a new kid on the scene tagging Chad Was Here. Maybe I’ll change it up.
What was the first photograph you painted and what was the first video clip you re-animated with art on it?  The first photograph I painted was of Tony Montgomery’s kickflip over a trash can at Love Park. It’s an old photo shot by Andre Tur. He’s actually from NJ, Tony is, you can find it online but its one of the best photos of a kickflip ever shot.
Clip-wise it was of that kid Ben Kadow doing a slappy or something I found on Bill Strobeck’s page. I just like the way he skated and this was before any of that FA/Supreme stuff. I think he had a part I saw in a video out of NY called MAMA’S BOYS. It was so rough I remember taking photos and cropping each frame on my phone. Like I said I didn’t know what I was doing. I finished it and was blown away, like holy shit I did this! It was really exciting so I posted in on my ig. Bill Strobeck re-posted it and that’s all she wrote. Never got to say thank you to him for that, so yeah thanks Bill.
Do you have a favorite photograph and video clip you’ve worked on? I really like the way a photo of Karl Watson at Pier 7 turned out. He’s got such a distinct style you know its him whether its a clip or a photo. My favorite clip is another favorite of mine Phil Shao, R.I.P. It’s the ollie at Santa Rosa Park. Him pushing and carving corners. It sets the actual trick up well.
Besides painting and re-animating, you also create abstract interpretations of still life paintings and animals. When did you start creating these series of works and what do you love about painting?  I always painted on the side but never felt confident enough to show any of it. I started getting back into actual works on paper and canvas because I felt the computer creeping into my work and I needed to make mistakes and live with them. For the most part, that’s what painting is to me. An opportunity to be fearless and be more intuitive.
What are your essential art tools? What art supply do you always have on you at all times? It’s a little bit of everything from paint pens, colored pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, etc. Whatever works for each piece. The decision is made on the fly usually. I like to have an array of Sharpie paint pens at all times. I know what I like for sure and can get picky. Unless I’m broke then it’s whatever I can find.
How do you stay inspired–what do you do in your off time when not creating or painting to stay inspired? I try to hang out with different types of people outside skateboarding and surfing. Gives me a better perspective on things. Obviously skating and stuff, but I’m a bit older now and can’t keep up like I did in the past. It’s still good for me to be around it nonetheless. It’s like the fountain of youth.
Tell us about your Street Market booth.   There definitely are a bunch of posters/prints of my work and some pieces exclusive to the event. I made a video of my work I’m showing each day as well. I don’t want to tell you everything or you won’t stop by.
Do you have a favorite Vans silhouette?  Chukka Boot
What’s the best advice you’d give someone who wants to follow in your footsteps? What’s the worst bit of advice you’ve gotten? Do what you want, not what you think is going to be cool to everybody else. All that stuff changes so fast, you’ll end up chasing a trend. The worst bit of advice. Propbably something having to do with money. As soon as money gets involved in my decision making I’m screwed.
Besides art, what are some of your other hobbies?  Taking videos of my cat Mitas. I skate regularly when I’m not injured, surf if theres a wave and my friends are going out. I read, I like being outside mostly just don’t as me to go hiking. I hate hikes. I do not want to go an adventure.
Do you have some favorite artists at the moment? Francisco Mendes Moreira, Wolfgang Tillmans, Lauren Nickou
Finally what do you have coming up for the rest of summer? Trying to be more healthy in mind, body and spirit. The rest will take care of itself.

Shamed By Wedding Photographer At Engagement Shoot
San Diego professional photographer, Cary Pennington supplies photography for weddings, portraits, professional headshots and serves San Diego, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Del Mar, La Jolla, Encinitas, Orange County and Los Angeles, 2017 all rights scheduled. The professional photographers have currently bought all of the products they will require for your wedding event, paid second shooters, assistants, purchased travel, hung out in conferences with you, planned timelines, booked your date, and denied other wedding events for that date- loosing out on countless dollars in income. How it works is that the knowledgeable photographer will quote the client ₤ 600- ₤ 1000. Excellent article on an important subject for photographers and small business owners. Basic wedding event picture bundles under $500 may consist of 1-4 hours of protection by one photographer, evidence in an online or difficult cover album, and a minimal number of prints or printable images on a CD or DVD. I LIKE being at the Salt Lake Temple as it was where I was sealed myself, and to my 3 fantastic little young boys. Start by thinking of what sort of wedding photos you enjoy to take a look at. Do you like the idea of having beautiful wedding event photos that could pass for fine art? DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY AT YOUR WEDDING
Drones are as popular in travel photography
as they are often used to take captivating 360-degree shots of beaches, hilltops, and more. However, drones are fast becoming a staple in commemorating modern celebrations too. Picture drone footage of the entire wedding venue while guests start pouring in, or the bride making her way down the aisle. Stunning, right? It certainly elevates traditional wedding photography and makes your special day that much more memorable.
If you’ve been considering drone photography at your wedding, here are some more benefits to keep in mind.
Drones showcase the wedding venue
The venue is a major consideration when planning a wedding, so it would be a shame not to capture its entire splendor. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about that if you hire a drone photographer. Whether it’s a beach wedding or a garden wedding, drones can capture breathtaking visuals to clearly showcase the grandeur of your wedding’s location. These shots also work quite well for the videography, as they show an overview of the day’s proceedings.
Drones complement traditional photography
There are shots that can only be taken via drone and vice-versa. The drones listed on Digital Photography Review, such as the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, are ideal for wide aerial shots — especially since most of them are equipped with GPS-controlled accuracy for precision and stability in the air. However, SLRs are more useful for capturing close-ups and intimate moments — which are incredibly important in a wedding shoot. So, if you want to cover all your bases, it’s wise to have both a traditional camera setup and a drone camera for your wedding. That way, you get the best of both worlds.
Drones capture stunning and creative angles
One advantage of drones is that they can shoot from angles that are unreachable through normal camera setups. This allows photographers to be more creative and playful with their shots. For those looking to take gorgeous slow-motion clips and breathtaking panoramas, the high-end DJI Mavic Air 2 featured on Adorama can offer just that. Thanks to its SmartPhoto feature and advanced panorama mode, it can capture vivid colors in dynamic high definition. On the other hand, some drones like the Yuneec Typhoon H Plus are built to withstand strong winds. Its 3-axis gimbal-mounted camera offers excellent stability, all while shooting high-quality photos of your wedding day. With these advanced features, drones are well-equipped to cover your wedding day.
Drones give your wedding some flair
Hiring a drone photographer shows guests that you’re going all out on your big day. Aside from that, drones can also serve as a form of entertainment because of their novelty; it’s not every day you get to see a high-end drone covering a big event. Of course, drones should be interesting, but not enough to be a distraction from your big day. Thankfully, an article on Science Daily shows that drones are constantly undergoing redesigns to make them quieter and more unobtrusive.
Drones are excellent for group shots
It’s sometimes frustrating to find the perfect angle for a group shot. This is especially true if you have a large crowd — such as wedding guests — posing for the photo. However, the solution can be as simple as using a drone to take an overhead shot. This removes the need to crouch down or stand on tiptoe just to get everyone in the frame. As you can see, there are many advantages to getting a drone for your wedding.

“Please Don’t Eat the Daisies” Home For Sale priced at $5.495 million!
The New York home where best-selling author Jean Kerr wrote Please Don’t Eat the Daisies is for sale at $5.495 million. Kerr and her husband, Walter Kerr, theater critic for The New York Times, raised their six children in the home that was the setting for Jean’s 1957 book, Please Don’t Eat the Daisies. The book was later made into a movie starring Doris Day and David Niven.
The Please Don’t Eat the Daisies storyline runs very close to author Jean’s actual home life. Kerr, with six children instead of the movie version of four, was married to Walter, who also, as in the movie, changed his profession from professor to theater critic. When the family outgrew their New York City apartment, in 1955 they moved to the suburbs in Larchmont, NY – about 20 miles from Manhattan.
According to one of the couple’s sons, when they went to look for their new house, the one they wanted wasn’t possible to view, so they bought a house down the street. Their family life in the home paralleled that of the characters in the book, including one of the children eating the daisies.
One of Larchmont’s most interesting and historic homes, the former Kerr house was built in 1901 as a stable and carriage house for the 45,000-square-foot Crocker family mansion whose patriarch, Judge E.B. Crocker, founded the Southern Pacific Railroad.
In the 1920s, a new owner of the carriage house, Charles B. King, a Detroit auto pioneer, cleverly acquired 35 truckloads of decor from the Vanderbilt mansion in Midtown Manhattan when it was being demolished. Some of these finds included a two-story fireplace, marble handrails and a spiral staircase that King included in the home’s transformation.
At 8,596 square feet, the Kerr house has big water views of Long Island Sound and Horseshoe Harbor, six bedrooms and seven baths, which was a perfect amount of space for the Kerr family of eight. Only a 35-minute train ride into Manhattan with easy access for guests, its size and layout create many venues for entertaining and a quick commute. Though the swimming pool is currently an artist’s rendering, the white sandy beach is only steps away from the front door.
Some outstanding features of the home include carillon bells from France, a hand-carved, wood-coffered ceiling in the formal living room with large arched windows, and hand-carved wood panels in the library. The master suite is spacious with a fireplace, large windows with views over the cove and a reading nook with water-view windows on three sides. The family room adjoins a chef’s kitchen, and the kitchen opens onto the large terrace, conveniently accessed for outdoor entertaining, lush gardens, and the home’s Mediterranean-style courtyard with fountain.
Jean Kerr was a prolific writer, including magazine articles, books, Broadway plays and film scripts, with the ability to describe life’s most mundane activities with an original sense of humor. Kerr outlived her husband by seven years and died at the age of 80 in 2003.
Larchmont is the third wealthiest neighborhood in New York and the 15th wealthiest in the country. Celebrities who live there, such as film director Ang Lee, keep a low profile – with the exception of Joan Rivers, who grew up in Larchmont and often mentioned the area in her stand-up routine.
The listing agents for the home are Stacey Pinkas from the Armonk Douglas Elliman office and Alex Lundqvist with the Douglas Elliman Eklund-Gomes Team in Manhattan.

Princess Grace by Richard Barnes. Ocean City (NJ) 1978.
“It was Summer of 1978. I was in Ocean City New Jersey. Princess Caroline of Monaco had just gotten married and was on her honeymoon in – Tahiti? I think – and on her way home was going to stop in Ocean City to visit her mother (Princess Grace) at their family beach home. Mind you, this is not the Hamptons, this is a small, very populated little town.
I was 16. Every day I peddled my bike from 59th street to 27th street hoping for a glimpse of the Royal Family, but alas, nothing.
Finally, on the last day, I arrive to find about 20 + members of the press there waiting, because this is the day Caroline and her new husband are arriving. As I wait I am befriended by Ron Galella! We sit and talk, and he gives me some tips and even buys me an ice cream.
Then the garage doors open and a black Mercedes with tinted windows backs out and zooms away, and all the press jump in their cars and give chase.
I am left alone. A boy and his bike. And his Canon TX.
A few minutes later the front door of the house opens and Jack Kelly, Graces brother steps out, and he looks around and then to me he says ” are you press? “. I say ” No….I’m just on vacation and was hoping to see the Royal Family”. He says “Come with me,” and brings me in the house and around back to the patio, where the entire Royal Family is sitting and talking. He says ” this is Rich, he’s OK” he’s just going to take some pictures” and leaves me in the midst of everyone.
I shoot a little, talk a little (I still can hear HSH Princess Grace saying “please…..I’m not at my best” as she sat there in her bathing suit )….and when I’m done, I emerge from the house back to out front where the press – now realizing that they were led away by a decoy car!…surrounds me and is interested in buying my film. Unfortunately, I’m shooting color and in those days there were no 1-hour color labs, so I’m out of luck.
Ron Galella pulls me aside and says “kid if you were shooting BW, you’d be rich !”…..and there’s when my career as a photographer starts officially.
-Richard Barnes on Ron Galella.

BENEFITS OF DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY AT YOUR WEDDING
