a few people might know me from my other blog, @golden-songbird, but this is my new sanders sides/omori/your turn to die main blog! i write a lot of stories, make a lot of headcanons, and think a lot of thoughts, so if you're someone who likes analyzing sanders sides/omori/your turn to die or just sanders sides/omori/your turn to die content in general, this might be the blog for you!

also, i'm just gonna put my masterlist here! this has all of my stories, fanfics, and writing guides!

🌟 i'm a rising sophomore in college and i am currently majoring in theatre performance, but i am transitioning to get my bfa in acting!

i don't watch a lot of tv, but when i do, i default to the same shows. sanders sides, anne with an e, modern family, little house on the prairie, dance moms, south park, alexa and katie, no good nick, high school musical the musical the series, curious george, and fraiser are my favorites!

✩ video games i play:

i love video games but i'm not great at them. my favorite games of all time are omori, your turn to die, animal crossing new horizons, legend of zelda: breath of the wild (i haven't played totk yet, please no spoilers!!), spiritfarer, hades, good pizza great pizza, undertale, deltarune, pokémon emerald rogue, and story of seasons: pioneers of olive town. i'm looking forward to playing all the story of seasons games in the future!

✩ my favorite plays and musicals:

my favorite plays are little women (adapted by kate hamil), dance nation, fences, the glass menagerie, equus, eurydice, a raisin in the sun, and especially the miracle worker.

my favorite musicals are hadestown, ragtime, alice by heart, matilda, gypsy, west side story, ragtime, in the heights, great comet of 1812, pippin, come from away, the color purple, amelie, the mad ones, and fun home.

✩ celebrities i enjoy:

i don't really talk about celebrities much, but when i do, it's about these guys: maddie ziegler, chloe lukasiak, nia sioux fraizer, jojo siwa (i don't really know all the drama surrounding her, i just like her message), paige hyland, sofia vergara, lea salonga, eva noblezada, lin manuel miranda (i just think he's goof), beth malone, phillipa soo, karen olivo, dolly parton, amber gray, lauren zakrin.

✩ dislikes:

here's the stuff about me pertaining to sanders sides!

★ my favorite side is roman, i actually kin him and relate to him a lot!

★ my least favorite side is patton. i don't think he's evil or anything, but i am very critical of him and i make him the antagonist in a lot of my aus.

★ my opinion on the sides from favorite to least favorite are as follows: roman, logan, remus, virgil, janus, patton.

★ i am an avid remy enjoyer and i think emile picani is cool.

★ i do a lot of canon-deviant headcanons such as race headcanons, pronoun headcanons, and disability headcanons. i am very respectful of these things and do lots of research, mainly because such headcanons are usually projections of myself and my own experiences.

★ i write a lot of sanders sides fanfiction and roleplay ideas, as well as aus. feel free to use anything you'd like for inspiration as long as you give me credit! i've had my work stolen before and it doesn't feel good.

★ my favorite ships (in no particular order) are roceit, prinxiety, logince, literally all poly combos of roman/logan/janus/virgil, intrulogical, analogical, dukeceit, remy/roman, remy/remus, remile, roman/emile, and loceit!

★ my least favorite ships are pretty much all patton ships and remrom. i'm not a remrom destroyer who will burn down your house if you ship remrom (as long as they're like- not explicitly brothers) but i'm an identical twin so the idea of them being in love is super weird to me lmao. i can't take it seriously.

★ i love talking about sanders sides please talk to me about sanders sides! especially if it looks like we have a lot in common!

dream smp things to please not forget! mostly arctic people centric edition

-phil and tubbo were canonically closer than phil and tommy

-phil and techno trust ranboo, but not completely. this is not one or the other 

-phil did not see ghostbur as being wilbur /neg

-ranboo interacted with ghostbur but got his knowledge of his legitimacy through phil

-techno is phil’s best friend

-techno feels betrayed by tommy.

-it is unknown whether techno was there for the raising of tubbo and wilbur.

-it took wilbur getting resurrected for tommy to really get that wilbur and ghostbur were separate

-philza and fundy are still somewhat estranged.

-fundy never really liked ghostbur

-philza knows about ranboo and tubbo being married and their son, though i believe he is sure it is platonic.

-while it’s a slippery slope, ranboo and tubbo have seemed to indicate that in the rp their characters are in love or at least Closer than platonically married, and tell tommy and ghostbur that they have fallen in love.

-niki still keeps in mind that phil killed wilbur.

LET’S TALK ABOUT: THE DREAM SMP’S SECOND FESTIVAL!

HELLO so i just finished watching tommy’s vod and i just wanted to give my opinions on what happened on the dream smp :)

it was... strange?? i mean it was pretty obvious that dream and techno were dead set on blowing up l’manburg and that they did have the supplies to do so, so it was kinda funny to see everyone in awe that it got blown up :| i also think it’s just the tinniest bit weird that everyone is *still* backing tommy when his motivations have turned really selfish - even after everything was blown up, tommy was still saying that the one thing they needed to do was get the discs back. 

as much as i love tommy as a main character, everyone helping him seems a bit forced, in my opinion. it’s a bit like how in the queen’s gambit, everyone gathered to help beth at the end when throughout the course of the series, she never really reciprocated the attention they gave to her. i did see that niki and hbomb didn’t really support tommy, and i kind of have to agree with them. i found it just a little unrealistic that everyone gathered to help save l’manburg when their characters were more or less neutral, or had their own stuff going on, so it didn’t really make sense for them to drop everything to help.

i thought techno was pretty on-point, he’s pretty much stayed consistent on his beliefs and motivations, and it made sense that phil helped him as well, as he’s said before he shared the opinion that l’manburg and the government was the source of all (or most) of the problems and conflicts. i’m excited to see what happens with techno and phil :)

i’m also not so sure what happened with fundy? from what i’ve heard he was against tommy but i might be wrong about that. overall, if it’s true, i really love that shift in sides because i think it’s in line with fundy’s character - i have a whole (maybe multi-chapter?) story planned on fundy’s character arc just cause it’s so interesting, and i think his character’s complexity is under-appreciated.

one thing i am looking forward to is the possible wilbur resurrection/revival arc! i might just be biased because i absolutely loved wilbur’s character, though. i honestly thought it was so fleshed out and the whole progression and descent into madness was so natural and believable!

for the most part, this wasn’t necessarily my favorite arc/lore event, i thought it was a bit messy and not the most fleshed out, but i’m very excited to see where everything goes!

thinking about how cc!phil basically confirmed that c!phil had no way to know that c!wilbur was on his last life when he killed him. 

thinking about how c!phil fully expected c!wilbur to wake up. 

thinking about how a character driven largely by assigning consequences to people/groups (l’manberg made him kill c!wilbur/caused c!wilbur to become corrupt) saw a destroyed country full of people he had only heard good things about (for the most part) and heard about the fact that getting ready of the country would be taking something away from the child he raised, c!tubbo, who c!wilbur had just said was president.

thinking about how c!phil cried out over c!wilbur’s dead body in frustration, showing a character moment not just for him but for c!wilbur that is rarely acknowledged before he was informed that his former best friend was going to destroy what was left of the hole he felt partly responsible for because he didn’t save it.

thinking about how c!phil fought against c!techno’s withers, how he raced to save the nation he had only heard about, to save what was left to make up for how he had failed them.

you know what? no. shut up everybody shut up (/lh, /nm). when revivebur inevitably dies he and ghostbur glitch together and they are arg-bur. everyone else go home.

nononononono you guys don’t understand!

it’s canonical that until doomsday, c!niki didn’t know that wilbur was dead. she thought he was just gone. she didn’t listen to fundy when he talked about ghostbur, and thought that he was hallucinating with grief. 

and then she learns that he died when philza screams at doomsday about killing his own son and soon after ghostbur appears. and obviously, niki thinks she’s having a psychotic break out of grief. she just learned her dear friend was dead and now he’s sending stuff in chat? it’s obviously her head messing with her.

she loses control of her emotions and burns down the tree and blows up her bakery because she’s confused, so confused, and she needs to get him away from her and they baked there together and they were friends. 

and then she’s left alone. she is alone and in pain, and she joins the syndicate and yeah yeah yeah, with her whole qualms abt phil killing wilbur and then joining him and making her own little area and that’s all important, but I feel like we don’t put two pieces of info together.

1. she was grieving for wilbur post-doomsday, was slightly out of her mind from it, and was most likely severely depressed. 

2. she started baking again.

I think people often see that as her getting over her past and rekindling her hobbies, but it’s so much more than that. she’s grieved. she’s loving life again, letting herself love it. it’s fantastic and subtle characterization that cc!niki pulls off spectacularly.

the best thing about the dsmp is that even though it’s so obviously fake and so obviously... a minecraft roleplay server, because it’s streamed live and it written organically by the people acting it, it’s also so real in so many ways. 

little things about recovery-- it’s NOT fast. wilbur is still lying to tommy and doing it so smoothly that tommy doesn’t even notice. and never lying doesn’t work in relationships, but wilbur is going to the opposite extreme to try and compensate for his past.

speaking of his past, niki is baking again. and i’ve talked about this one little line before, and how much weight it holds, but who would put that line in except for her? it’s so organic and natural and shows the healing there.

apologies have to be worked for in the server, and that’s an arc many of the characters go through, sometimes multiple times. we don’t just learn these things in life, we re-learn them constantly, through experience and making mistakes with it. 

the fact that the improv lets the structure thrive, with some of the most beloved moments and lines coming from the natural progression of conversations and riding emotional highs and lows. those waves bring such a realness to the server. 

and the good vs. bad element, of truly caring for the ‘bad guy’. not to try to make them better, not because you owe them or their story has won you over, but because you just do. emotion is not logical. love, as doctor who says, is a promise. 

and the real problems that come out of that, the real toxicity, the actual issues that can come from a stable mental place with love, let alone with people that are going through the struggles the dsmp characters do. 

it’s all so organic in such an unorganic setting, and it’s raw and real and that’s why it hurts. because even when we can’t see a face, we can see them in the real, human way that we see each other in actual life settings

guys i’m gonna be honest in the latest quackity lore when he took fundy to the wedding place i was scared they were gonna smudge fundy lore as soon as they started talking about broken hearts and such. i’m glad that fundy didn’t engage in any sort of cameo or smth about the botched wedding and just reacted normally, the way that any like. other person in his situation would and I really love the way they stayed focused and didn’t go for a cheap shot.

(for context: the fundy-dream-george wedding fiasco is not canon on the dsmp)
