bad. terrible. horrid. he says he’s not gonna go for the milk, and then he finishes like the first round and goes straight for it. he sticks around til the end just bc he’s stubborn and because “my sister said i wouldn’t be able to do it so 🖕🏼😜🖕🏼 suck it bella” but he’s red in the face and his nose is running and he’s breathing through his mouth

silly ghoul thoughts time!

they are so high energy sometimes that the clergy has to buy a playground in the courtyard, extending to the lake a bit for the water ghouls

imagine a newcomer getting a tour of the abbey and seeing this giant, slightly bigger than adult sized playground/waterpark mix, and then seeing giant, slightly bigger than human adults, demon creatures, all around said playground, say… dew on the monkey bars, rain doing water slides, cumulus and swiss on the merry go rounds, mountain on one side and phantom and sunshine (and maybe aurora too) on the other side of a seesaw, and maybe omega on a spring rider (i had to google what its called), ifrit and cirrus chilling on the swings chatting, etcetc

and then beside it, a much tinier, actual kid sized playground, for actual children and ghoul kids

id be confused af if im that newcomer 😂 and maybe get the urge to join in on the playground

You can't tell me that the abbey children don't filter over to the larger-sized playground as well and play with the ghouls. They like to find little flowers and rocks to go show Cirrus and Ifrit, and sometimes they ask the ghouls to push them on the swings. Some go over to Swiss and ask him to spin them around and he has to be careful not to spin to fast because they are, after all, still kids lol.

the dad!billy knight thoughts are raging on strongly tonight, my friends.

just imagine how soft and low and deep his voice would get when he reads his baby girl to sleep each night… it sounds just like his morning voice, but quieter and less mumble-y. he’s hushed, but he’s not murmuring, his pronunciations of the words on the page still just as crisp as they would be if he was reading to his daughter in the daytime, but his tone is intentionally softer, quieter, in the hopes that’ll encourage his little angel to get sleepier and sleepier with every word he reads.

billy’s in a pair of plaid pajama pants that you bought him for his birthday, they’re in his favourite shade of green, and he’s not wearing a shirt; he never does at bedtime, it wouldn’t make sense to, he’d just take it off anyways before climbing into bed. he’s sitting in the rocking chair in your daughter’s room, with her snuggled up in his lap. billy has one arm wrapped around her, keeping her in his lap, and the other extended out, holding the book out in front of both of them. her soft hair is splayed out across the pale, freckled skin of his torso as she rests her head on his chest so that she can look down at the book he’s holding out in front of her, so that she can look at the pictures whilst he reads the words aloud to her. with the way he’s sitting, he can’t see how her eyelids droop sleepily, fighting against the urge to flutter closed as he gently rocks the two of them back and forth in the chair, but you can… and god, the sight of it is enough to make you melt. he’s such a good father to her, he always has been. in your eyes, he’s the best father a parent could ever hope for their child to have. he’s not perfect, no one is, but he tries his best, he’s very dedicated, and he loves her so much, and, really, that’s just about all you can ask for.

billy’s been rocking her in this chair every night before bed since she was an infant. back then, he used to sing her a lullaby and gently rock her to soeep after she’d finished a warm bottle and, of course, after she’d been properly burped as well. now, he reads her a story and gently rocks her after she’s finished a glass of warm milk and, of course, after she’s brushed her teeth as well. even at three years old, being rocked in that chair by her papa still makes it impossible for her to fight off sleep (the way she surely would if he weren’t rocking her to sleep and reading to her softly).

once she’s fallen fast asleep in her dad’s lap, and the story is over, billy closes the book and softly sets it aside before rising out of the chair with her cradled in his arms (or as cradled as she can be at nearly 93 centimeters), careful not to jostle her too much as he gets up. just as carefully and gently, he walks over towards her toddler bed (which she adorably refers to as her ‘big girl bed’), and eases her onto the bed. he tucks his baby girl in and plants a warm, loving kiss on her tiny little forehead before beckoning you over to do the same.

the two of you turn off the lights and head to your own room, where you’ll stay up and chat for a bit, maybe read books of your own, before eventually succumbing to your mutual sleepiness, kissing each other goodnight, snuggling up, and going to sleep much like your sweet angel already has.

we had a night pretty much to ourselves last night and he's so fuckin' cute y'all... he used some chhinkni and then we're instantly kissing. his little breaths right before he broke away were all choppy and then he ducks down with a little half stifle and AAAAAH! he sneezed ON me and i swear to hell and back i got goosebumps and i could NOT get close enough to him for all four of those breathy little sneezes

also!! he's making a Snarf. i mentioned about how someone had compiled data to make like a sneeze blanket or something? so he's doing something similar and recording his daily sneezes to make a sneeze scarf and i'm just... i'm a pile of goo that's so incredibly full of horn lately
