the way these two characters had this one scene and no other direct interactions and yet i instantly fell in love... they were destined for each-other, they would find each-other in any universe. my rarepair.

How do you make friends to rp with and do OC collabs with?

Oof, honestly that's a hard one to answer, since it's going to vary from person to person.

I've been roleplaying on tumblr since 2020 and writing practically my whole life, so I have some experience running dedicated roleplay blogs, for example. The rpc can be tough to get into depending on what you're looking for and what kind of content you want to write, but for gw2 specifically I admit I didn't go looking for rp blogs and simply found people by commenting on their posts, leaving tags, messaging in DMs and having conversations about our OCs. From there, inviting to a private discord server and writing roleplays that way, once interest was expressed.

So, I suppose all the advice I can give is reach out to people and chat. Find some convo hook to start with like reading up about their OCs and complimenting their stuff! Every community is built on interaction and interest, after all. But ofc actually finding someone you click with is much trickier and you shouldn't get discouraged too much if things don't immediately work out. Also, there's a very fun and friendly gw2 creatives server (though that one's not a rp server) that sleidog runs that you could ask to join! Maybe you'll meet folks this way? ^^

I'm used to public roleplay, which makes me consider making a dedicated public ask/rp blog for Mael at some point, but I have issues roleplaying as a "popular" character (as in, The Commander, who has a more or less preset story) hahaha. So, I stick to my verse and just rp on discord atm. I might do an interest check for a Mael blog since I am having a blast with the non-canon crack rps that happen ingame, so basically, people could send him asks or something and he'd reply IC.

If you want, you can try doing it this way. Make a blog for your OC and let people send asks directly to your OC (or a canon, or whoever you want to write!) Noticed that bhuerracus is doing something like that rn.

Bhuer! Erracus! Bathing habits?

Glad you asked. Daily as required for most soldiers. For Erracus, well, as he got older, he got a bit more shy about the public showers we use in the Citadel. So, because I'm a nice guy, I try and get us a bathhouse to share, just the two of us. Of course, sometimes, I like to make it a little extra special... and so does he, apparently. Hah!
