I need a fic that's basically this:
Eddie knows Robin has a crush on Nancy
Steve knows Nancy has a crush on Robin
Nancy knows Eddie has a crush on Steve
Robin knows Steve has a crush on Eddie
And they're all a bunch of dense idiots who complain about their friends being dense idiots, not realising they're also a dense idiot.
if someone writes this (or has a similar fic) I'm begging you to put the link in the comments it's for science

Eddie: Gotta go! Bi bi! *snickers and then leaves*
Robin: I don't get it. Why is that funny? I mean, it is weird that a grown metalhead is saying bye-bye.
Stevie: *rolls eyes* No, he's saying bi bi.
Robin: That's what I said. Bye-bye.
Stevie: No, it's bi bi.
Robin: Bye-bye?!
Stevie: No, as in bisexual.
Robin: OH! Has he been saying that since he's discovered he's bisexual?
Stevie: Yeah, and he laughs every single time. It's cute. He's very excited. He always thought it was just guys.
Robin: *stares pointedly at her* What do you think made him realize that he's bisexual?
Stevie looked thoughtfully at her nails as she painted them.
Stevie: Chrissy, probably.
Robin: *frowned* I mean . . . It might have been a possibility that pushed him close to figuring it out, but can you think of anyone else?
Stevie: *shrugs* I don't know. . .Joan Jett. . .she seems like his type.
Robin: *sighs* You're pretty today. And I mean that platonically.
Stevie: *grins* Thanks, Robin.
Robin: Really?!
Stevie: What?!
Robin: *grins affectionately* Forever a dingus.

Belly button piercings. Steddie x female reader. Smut. Blurb.
I’m so sorry this is basically not what you asked for but I tried!! Hope this is okay! I really got in ‘the zone’ and wrote this all in one lmao!
You first noticed them when you were working, it was a Thursday afternoon, and you were waiting for your next appointment to arrive. Your client wanted a belly button piercing, something you’d done a million times in your job as a body piercer, it was second nature to you now. Especially since you have so many metal adjustments to yourself too, several facial piercings that happen to catch people’s eyes. You get complimented on your vertical labret often, but your favourite was the piercing that only you were allowed to see at the moment, single life really was keeping you from excitement.
They stood shyly in the doorway, the dark haired boy seemingly more confident than the brunette. He stood a little taller, had some ear piercings himself and as he took off his jacket, handing it to the other guy, you noticed his tattoos. You had a few of your own, some of which you’d actually given yourself. The long haired guy fiddled with his rings, he basically had one on each finger, the skull one catching your eye the most. It was cool, you make a mental note to see if you can find one of those for yourself.
The more metal looking of the men spoke, “Hi. I’m Eddie. I’m here for my piercing?” He had a great voice, he definitely was confident like you had expected. You offer him a friendly smile and show him out back to your studio after taking his payment, giving him his consent form and running him through the aftercare. “Can my boyfriend come too?” He questioned shyly, holding the brunette man’s hand behind his back. You nod and laugh, assuming he can’t be afraid of needles if he’s got so many tattoos. “Follow me, both of you are welcome, there’s always room for an emotional support person. Even if you are a pretty metal head or a…” You stood still and looked him up and down. “Frat boy?” You laugh, hoping to get the same reaction from them, it always helped to make jokes to ease your clients nerves.
In the kindest possible way they looked stupid, like they’d seen a ghost. Eddie’s jaw had dropped, he’s practically drooling at the compliment and his boyfriend? His cheeks are bright red. He nods dumbly, like every single thought in his pretty head had been knocked out by your comment.
“I don’t need!- whatever. This is Steve.” Eddie shakes his head and chuckles at your joke. “Thank you for letting me watch, I kinda wanted to see how you do this whole piercing thing, I’m tempted to get one myself.” Steve spoke finally, his voice a lot softer than Eddie’s. His face was flushed, embarrassed by his own words.
You mark up Eddie’s belly button, making sure the lining you drew was straight and offer him a look in the mirror. As he stands upright, staring at the pen marks on his midriff you notice them for the second time that day. But it wasn’t just them, it was how they looked at you. Their eyes followed you, ever since they stood hunched over in the doorway of the waiting room. Their eyes never left you, dancing around your face and more recently, your pants.
You’d been ogled over before, sort of part and parcel of the job. Men had come into your studio just to ask you if you had any “naughty” piercings or assume you must be freaky in bed because you’re tatted and pierced. But you didn’t mind the way they were looking at you. Almost like you were an enigma, a paradox.
“Stevie here’s acting scared but don’t let him fool you, he likes a bit of pain.” Eddie giggles over his own words whilst Steve shoots him a look, giving him daggers. You noticed the way Steve blushed again, it’s adorable really. His cheeks flushed at everything. “Is that so? Well the belly button piercing is just a little pinch really, the clamp is the worst part. Just breathe through it and it’s over. I promise, I’ll be gentle. To you that is, might have to be a little more rough with this one huh? He seems insistent on embarrassing you doesn’t he, sweetheart?” You motion to Eddie, wiggling the capped needle around in your fingers. Steve threw his head back in laughter, squeezing Eddie’s hand in his own, “t-thanks.” He stutters through his words, you could definitely see this guy being a submissive. His entire nature is submissive. Your mind escapes you as you imagine what he’d look like tied to your bed. Would Eddie join you in dominating Steve or would you have them both at your mercy?
That was a hell of a way to break the ice, finding out your client’s boyfriend is a pain slut definitely was a new one. Fantasising about your clients even more so, but they are so endearing.
“Okay you ready?” You glance up at Eddie, he nods and you position your needle. “And 3, 2, 1, aaaand done.” You feed the needle through his belly button, you remove the needle and leave the plastic tube inside the freshly pierced hole. “And here’s the stingy part.” You mutter as you thread his chosen jewellery through the plastic tube of the needle and twists the ball on top, wiping and sterilising his belly button. “How was it?” Steve questioned, still looking at Eddie through his fingers across his eyes. “Completely fine babe, princess here has magic fingers.” He shoots you a smirk in an attempt to fluster you back for earlier.
“Sure do. Are you up next Steve? I have time to slot you in now, I’ve got a free hour.” Inquiring as clean up your work space once more. “N-no. Maybe next time.” He responds with the weakest smile you’ve ever seen. He’s scared, if any of the goosebumps on his skin suggest, that’s understandable. Poor thing, he’s a completely blank canvas and a piercing is a pretty big commitment to make. Eddie smiles, whispering something in-audible to Steve which of course left him with a flushed face again.
You squat down to your drawers to reach a form, and as you bend over you hear a groan. Well more of a grunt, you smirk whilst your back is turned. These boys were too cute. Wondering which of them you could make yours first, maybe take the easy frightened little lamb and watch his protector follow. What sounds would they make? You could break down the act that Eddie puts up and make him melt in your hands? Was the act he puts up all a ploy, was Steve the top? So many questions run through your mind, but you knew something for certain. This was precious. These boys were precious. Behind you, you hear some giggling. Still searching for the feedback form you have to leave it up to your imagination, but it ate at you. What were they giggling about? You hadn’t imagined the handcuffs attached to Eddie’s belt, maybe he was teasing him by showing Steve what he’d be tied with that night? Maybe they’d pointed at you pretty ass bend over so nicely on display for them and daydreamed about having you in those cuffs?
You twist your face over your shoulder to face them as you pick up the form, your elbows squeezing together ‘accidentally’. Steve shys away from looking but you can tell he wants to, it was obvious. His eyes darted around the room, from the mirror across from you, and back to your chest. Whereas Eddie? His jaw was on the floor, his vision transfixed on your chest.
“Okay, well in that case when you’re ready I need you, Eddie to fill in this form about how your experience was here today. We give them to all our clients.”
You commanded, handing him the form and a pen, watching as he filled it out pretty quickly. It was cute, through the whole time you’d spent together, Steve hadn’t let go of Eddie’s hand. Following him around like a lost dog, but he still couldn’t stop his eyes from moving over you. Eddie squeezes Steve’s hand again and he looks down at his lap. Oh. Was it the pain of the piercing or your body that made that tent in his pants appear? Steve bites his lip and reaches out to palm his hand over Eddie’s bulge. He squirms and swats at his boyfriend’s hands. Oh god could they get any cuter, flustered and bratty? The things you could do.
He shuffles his jacket across his waist, hoping you hadn’t seen it. Handing you the form back, you walk them both back into the waiting room. You sign the form to prove you had administered the piercing, handing it back to Eddie to take his copy home for safe keeping. Chewing on your pen lid, you giggle as the leave your studio. You wonder how long it will be until they read the note you left them on the paper.
“Let me know if you want that piercing Stevie, I think you’d both suit little matching belly bars. The cutest boys. If I’ve read this wrong ignore me and I apologise but if I haven’t? Call me. *phone number*.”
Well you’ve had worse days at work.

Pretty in Pink
AO3 Link
I am still firmly on my Stevie Harrington agenda this week, so please enjoy below Eddie's thirsty-turned-sappy thoughts about his favorite girl, inspired by @getlost0p's absolutely delightful art as well @cherrycolasteve's very cute tags.
Eddie taps the pen against his front teeth absently, eyes flitting uncomprehendingly over the various multiple choice options of his practice test. With his brain already feeling fuzzy and unfocused, it’s easy to let his gaze drift away from the page over to the girl currently sprawled out beside him–Stevie Harrington, curled up reading the X-Men comic Dustin had strong-armed her into picking up.
And, look–who could really blame him for getting a little distracted? There's a hot girl in his bed which is, admittedly, a rare enough occurrence–until shit went sideways last spring, at least–to still feel a little notable. Even if she is only there for moral support while he studies, his GED test date circling ever closer.
Stevie's wearing a striped white and pink polo with the buttons undone all the way to the bottom of the neckline and tight stonewash jeans. The absolute preppiest of prep attire, completed by the cherry-flavored chapstick shining red on her lips.
Eddie wants to kiss her stupid.
The jeans are high waisted, pulled up snug over the curve of her ass, and with Stevie rolled onto her stomach reading the comic, Eddie's getting quite the view.
Then she shifts, flopping over onto her back beside him, the movement followed by the sound of pages turning. The new position offers a tantalizing glimpse of her cleavage, a further hint of what her clingy polo is doing such a great job of highlighting.
Eddie looks. Of course he looks.
Estrogen has taken to Stevie’s figure like a duck to water. In the plush spread of her hips, making her pert ass even rounder, which Eddie would have thought was damn near impossible. And in the plumpness steadily gathering at her chest, her once defined pecs softening, giving way to the gentle swell of her breasts, which grow fuller by the day.
It’s become something of a problem for him lately–the staring.
That was true, to some extent, even before she started to transition. Stevie's always been gorgeous, and Eddie's always been aware of that fact, harboring a hopeless, from afar crush on her since they landed in the same impossible English class his first senior year and Eddie had become painfully aware of what all the Hawkins High girls were on about. Not that he would have admitted that, at the time, not even under threat of painful, agonizing death–no, the coming terms with it came later, during his spring break from hell spent realizing that Stevie Harrington was not only surprisingly sweet but a totally badass, bonafide hero.
…The whole ripping that bat apart with her teeth thing certainly didn't hurt, either.
The point is, he's always looked at Stevie, flirted with her. Probably been too obvious about it, too.
It's just that since she started to transition, it feels like he's gotten so much worse, like any subtlety he was holding on to by his fingernails has been ripped from his hands. Eddie can’t stop staring at her, the heat of embarrassment prickling his face, tongue-tied like a school boy with a crush each and every time he gets caught.
And that's the worst part of it–he does get caught, far more often than he'd like.
It’d been months, now, since the first time Stevie explicitly called him out for it–a warm Saturday in the summer when they had dragged the kids down to the arcade, trying to beat the heat with the dark, air-conditioned interior of the local nerd haunt.
Stevie had been watching Erica beat her own high score at Duck Hunt, leaned over the machine in her Daisy Duke cutoff shorts and a cropped pink jersey, ponytail swinging against her back and the scars littering her sides unashamedly on display. That’s something they had both been working themselves up to, together–not hiding their war wounds, fighting off the anxiety that came from people’s stares.
But Eddie had been staring for an entirely different reason when Stevie caught him.
As Erica ran off to ‘pummel’ Dustin after his latest Dig Dug win, Stevie propped an elbow on the abandoned game, shooting Eddie a knowing look.
“Like what you see, Munson?” she asked coyly.
Eddie’s entire face flamed with heat.
“I was just–your top!” he blurted. “I was just admiring your top, my lady. It’s…it’s cute. The pink–think that might be your color, Harrington.”
Stevie’s cheeks burned her own pretty pink to match it, then, which Eddie couldn’t help but preen about.
And if he noticed she started wearing a lot more pink around him after that, well…he tried not to read too much into it.
Just like the pretty pale pink she’s wearing today, attracting his eye and forcing Eddie to hold back a twitterpated sigh as he watches her, wrapped up in the bright primary colored pages of the X-Men
…This bullshit of his is definitely gonna get his ass kicked by Robin or Nancy, one of these days, he’s sure of it. Possibly both of them at once–Buck may just hold him down while Wheeler does what she does best.
But the truth is, it's not just about how Stevie’s figure has steadily filled out. He's not gonna lie, that's definitely part of it–but also…she just has this glow about her, now, like she's settling so happily into herself. It’s like that contentment beams out of her, radiant, in every little gesture, every giddy smile. He's drawn in by it, like Icarus with the sun, like a moth to a flame–too entranced to turn away, even if it might end up burning him in the long run.
The thing is, Stevie's beautiful, and she takes his breath away.
She’s become such an intrinsic part of his life, since everything that happened, he’s not entirely sure what he would do without her. Hell, they still share a bed, some nights–fighting back the nightmares together is always easier. And in the intervening months since that started, she's grown steadily softer beside him, curves pressing against his body where there were once hard planes and sharper angles. Her presence is no less warm and comforting than it had been from the beginning, though, her weight and smell familiar, the steady rhythm of her breathing when it finally evens out the same.
Eddie wonders if they were supposed to have stopped doing that, somewhere along the way–the sleeping together part, even though they're only doing it in the most platonic, just-friends sort of way possible. Then again, he's never put all that much stock in it, what he is and isn't supposed to be doing. Besides, how much difference could stopping really have made? Not a whole hell of a lot, in his opinion, considering they've both been bi as fuck the whole damn time.
Sharing a bed all the time doesn't really help his other problem–the staring, the thinking about Stevie's plush curves and soft skin–but that's his own shit to deal with and work out. Stevie shouldn't have to suffer through the nights alone just because Eddie can't keep his hard on for her in check.
So, yeah. He thinks she’s a knockout–of course he does–but the truth is, that’s all secondary to the way he feels about her. She’s steadily grown into one of his best friends, in the time since he’s finally gotten to actually know her. And if all he ever gets to do is look–and better yet, talk to her, bicker and joke and tease, share popcorn at movie nights crammed too close together on the Harrington’s couch and laugh at all the same stupid inside jokes–well, he considers himself honored for the privilege of it.
“What, Munson?” Stevie laughs suddenly, drawing him out of his reverie–during which he had, of course, still been staring–by smacking him lightly on the arm with her comic book.
That had been another secret, shared between them–Stevie liked the X-Men, she’d confessed, even if she couldn’t resist pretending otherwise to Dustin. She said the Mutants made her feel…seen, in a way she really hadn’t ever before.
"I know exactly what you mean, sweetheart," Eddie had agreed easily when she told him.
"Kinda figured you might, Eds,” she had shot him a soft smile, which he returned in kind.
That feeling of being seen–understood–stretched out beyond the pages of the comic book to encompass them both, the way they just fundamentally got each other.
"Mystique's got nothing on you, though," he had added with a wink, falling back on his old routine of borderline flirtation just for the pleasure of seeing her blush yet again, ducking her head as she gave his shoulder an exasperated nudge.
He blinks back to reality, finds himself looking into those same mesmerizing eyes now, big and brown and staring back at him expectantly. A smile plays at the corners of Stevie’s mouth as she puts her comic aside. Scooting closer, she reaches to give one of his test booklet pages a quick shake.
"You're supposed to be studying, you know. Believe me, I get how hard that can be, and I wasn't exactly the best in school…but I'm still like 99% sure you at least have to look at the page before you get it,” she teases. “And I haven’t got the answers to this question secretly penciled somewhere up my sleeve, promise. So, not really sure how staring at me is gonna help you here."
Eddie studies her face–the amused pink curve of her mouth, the cute little moles that dot her cheeks and throat.
That wistful sigh finally escapes him.
“Shit, sorry,” he apologies on autopilot, and then, the confession rolls off his tongue before he can stop it, “you’re just so…fucking pretty.”
As soon as the words have left his mouth, he cringes, preparing to blurt out yet another apology–and then Stevie’s finger presses against his lips. When he glances at her, he finds that her whole face has lit up.
Well, fuck. If she’s gonna look at him like that, he can’t even be sorry for his big mouth.
Then, surprise of all surprises–he feels a jolt as she leans in and pecks him once on the cheek, lips smooth from her cherry chapstick.
“Thanks. You’re sweet, Eddie,” Stevie murmurs, quietly, as she pulls back. Then, her smile turns mischievous, pretty eyes giving one of her patented, exasperated eyerolls. “And good of you to finally say something about it.”
Eddie barks out a disbelieving laugh before he can help it, hiding his face for a moment between his fingers.
“Seriously, Harrington, you know you’re a total babe.”
“Yeah, sure,” Stevie agrees, a glimmer of that overconfidence she’d carried herself with in school shining out. Eddie can’t even lie–he loves it. “But a girl still likes to hear it, now and again.”
“Shit, Stevie.” Head still ducked, Eddie reaches out slowly and takes her hand, twiddling with her fingers as he looks up from beneath the fringe of his bangs. “Now that I know you want me, too–I’ll tell you anytime you want.”
Reaching forward, Stevie tucks a tuft of hair behind Eddie’s ear, not letting him hide behind the curtain of it. Then, she leans in, and this time she presses a soft kiss to his lips.
Eddie sucks in another sharp, surprised breath, finally tasting that cherry flavor for himself.
“I’m totally gonna hold you to that one, Eds,” she says, leaving their foreheads pressed gently together even once she pulls back, “so just get ready for it.”
But, then, a mere moment later, Stevie is bouncing backwards on the bed, giggling when Eddie leans in, trying to chase after her lips again. He groans as she picks up his booklet and presses it against his chest.
“You can check me out all you want later, stud,” Stevie shoots him a wink, flipping open to the page he had left off on. “But, for now…you’ve gotta get back to work.”
When she settles down beside him this time, though, she stays close, hooking her chin over his shoulder.
“And, I’ve got an idea. A tried and true method for studying. Works every time.”
“That right?” Eddie tilts his head to face her, cocking an eyebrow. “Well, lay it on me, then, sweetheart. Tell me what’s going on in that pretty head of yours.”
He taps a finger lightly against her temple. The playful twinkle in Stevie’s eyes as she grins at him makes Eddie’s heart skip a bit.
“How about…I give you a kiss for every question you get right?” she murmurs, close enough her warm breath ghosts over his skin.
Eddie lets his eyes drop down to the red shine of her lips, and feels giddy, for once, knowing he can look his fill. After a long, loaded pause, he gives a sharp nod, clapping his hands together.
“You know what, Stevie? Studying never sounded so good.” Snatching up his pen again, he settles back with the test now spread across both their laps. “I’m in.”
And, this time, whenever Stevie distracts Eddie from his studies–well. At least he can tell himself it’s all in the name of a good cause.

Everyone who’s touched grief knows it’s bigger than two hands can hold. The inexperienced try to string together the right words to lighten the load and those who grieve wear a momentary mask of comfort, feeling instead heavier. Those who’ve experienced grief know there are not enough words in the world to replace something as simple as a small action.
You don’t remember the platitudes and false virtues strangers assign to the dead, but after a long day when you find your fridge full of precooked meals, you’ll remember who dropped off the potato salad. Max was sick of people who didn’t know her, telling her how kind her brother was. How funny he could be. How talented he was.
No one, save the rare few, know what to do with complex grief. Max didn’t know how to unpick her thoughts, let alone put them into words and hold them up for someone else to see and understand. That didn’t mean she didn’t want to be understood.
She didn’t know how she could miss someone so deeply while being in some small part, glad they were dead. No one tells you what to do when your thoughts betray you.
By the time Max and her mother moved into the trailer park, people had stopped telling her how much they missed Billy, which was a small blessing. They’d also stopped dropping off food or offering to do their laundry. Max and her mother had been too proud to take anyone up on that offer, but she missed the thought.
Two months had passed, and it felt like everyone forgot Billy existed, that anything had happened. Lucas and the other boys had started asking her to hang out again. The unspoken grace period given to her and her mother for mourning had ended. Now it was back to business as usual. Her mother returned to work, and Max was left alone in an empty trailer full of boxes.
That was when Steve arrived with a Tupperware container under one arm and a fancy untouched toolbox under the other.
“Figured you’d need some help,” the boy muttered, kicking off his shoes, not waiting to be invited in.
He knew better. If he’d asked, Max would’ve told him to piss off. She couldn’t understand why Steve of all people was able to read her moods so well.
Steve hadn’t been much help rebuilding the furniture, but he’d supplied the Allen key and screwdriver so she couldn’t complain. He was good at unpacking boxes. With the two of them working, the task had taken a day, as opposed to the week it would’ve if she’d done it on her own. She was meant to be in school that day, but she couldn’t bring herself to go. She’d expected that to be the last she saw of the older boy but instead, he made a habit of checking in on her.
Steve kept dropping off meals. After a week he started driving Max around on the days the mere mention of school threatened to topple her. Sometimes she’d hang around the back of the video store. On other days he’d drop her off at the arcade and she’d play Dig Dug until her eyes burnt and her fingers cramped.
She didn’t know exactly when it’d happened but somewhere along the way, she found herself getting strangely attached to the guy. She’d lost one brother but gained another.
That was why when Steve stopped driving home at night, she’d sent Eddie to get him.
Max didn’t know much about Eddie Munson. His uncle and Max’s mother infrequently drank coffee together at the communal picnic tables. Nothing ever happened. Max knew her mother and how she acted around her boyfriends. This was different. They just sat together, mostly in silence, watching the sun go down. It kept her mother from drinking so much or so early. What Max did know about Eddie Munson was that he owed her.
One night when her mother was out, the cops came poking around the trailer park, asking her if she’d seen anything suspicious. Max wasn’t dumb, quite the opposite. She knew Eddie sold drugs. She also knew the cops wanted to pin something on him. She wasn’t altogether sure why, maybe there was some pressure to put someone behind bars from the kinds of places that had neighbourhood watches.
It was only when crime started to leak into the suburbs that people went searching for the culprits. Some rich kid spikes a girl’s drink in Loch Nora and the next thing you know, they’re looking for drug dealers in trailer parks. The guy will get a smack on the wrist, while Eddie? He’ll get thrown in jail and the people of Hawkins will sleep a little better at night, knowing all is right and just in the world. Until the same guy does it again. Then another trailer park kid is marched off to the stocks.
Max had learnt how the world worked young. It’d been out of some strange sense of solidarity that she’d kept her mouth shut about Eddie. When the cops split, she’d given him the heads up to keep his nose clean while there was blood in the water. She hadn’t done it for a favour. But if nothing else, she was opportunistic.
Steve wasn’t driving home most nights. Max knew because she’d take note when the Beamer shot past the trailer park. Some days it was in the dead of night, others, the early hour of the morning. He wasn’t staying over at girls’ places like she’d first thought. Even if he wasn’t the golden boy he’d once been if someone slept with Steve Harrington, the whole town knew within the week.
She’d followed him one afternoon, riding her skateboard at a safe distance. He’d drive around, past their houses, as though on his own neighbourhood watch. He’d finish his patrol and pull up at any number of odd locations, the train tracks, the junkyard, the woods. At first, she’d worried he, like Billy, was possessed. After long days of silent observation, she realised the kind of ghosts that possessed Steve were of his own making.
Max didn’t know what to do until she saw the light on in the Munson’s trailer past midnight. She stalked across the way, pounded her fists on the fly screen, and called in a favour. She asked Eddie to check on Steve. He’d looked at her like she’d grown a third head but agreed.
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson didn’t do favours but Red was a good kid, so he’d made an exception. He began his quest by driving past the Harrington’s manor, hoping for his own sake to find the BMW parked in the drive but Max had been right, Steve wasn’t home, nobody was.
Eddie was tempted to check all the usual spots he’d go if he were a meathead jock with ample time and money. There was skull rock, the notorious Harrington make-out spot and a has-been jock party was going on in the next suburb over from Loch Nora, but Red’s instructions had been clear. If Steve wasn’t at home, she’d rattled off a list of places he might be, each one growing stranger.
That was how Eddie Munson ended up in the junkyard. The place was surprisingly well-lit, despite the late hour. He worked his way through an overgrown thicket, cursing himself for wearing his white Reeboks. He’d be scrubbing out grass stains with a toothbrush for the next week.
Mounds of trash and scrap metal shot out of the dried grass like rocks rising from the ocean. Amongst it all, burning bright as a lighthouse was a rusting yellow school bus. It stood in stark contrast against the blue, black night. A dull glow bled out of the vehicle’s shattered windows.
Eddie found himself drawn to the little island of light as a moth flocks to a flame. His feet moved swiftly, eager as a young child at the prospect of adventure. He slipped in through the half-open door of the bus and was greeted by another body slamming into his.
Eddie’s head cracked against the metal bus frame, making him groan. It wasn’t until he tried to move that he realised there was something sharp pressed against his neck. Against all his better judgment Eddie swallowed, feeling a broken bottle nip at his skin.
Eddie’s eyes flickered to the wielder of the weapon. A once mighty king had fallen like his surrounding kingdom, into a state of disrepair. Steve Harrington. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
“Harrington,” Eddie spoke, keeping his voice soft and even, as though speaking to a wild animal that could startle.
There was a manic look in Steve’s eyes Eddie knew well. He’d never thought he’d see the ghost of himself dance across such a pretty and foreign face. The days before Eddie moved in with Wayne were better left alone. He knew the wide-eyed vigilance of people who’d grown used to fending for their lives. It was a look he’d never imagine Steve Harrington capable of.
A glint of recognition shifted over Steve’s face and the eyes of years long past were gone as though a trick of the light. The bottle disappeared from his neck, shattering as it dropped against the floor of the bus.
“Shit, Munson. Sorry,” Steve uttered, moving out of Eddie’s space.
Eddie was surprised Steve remembered his name. Across the six-odd years the two had gone to school together, Harrington had spoken to him a grand total of three times. The first, to ask for a pencil in Spanish. The second had been a disgruntled ‘hey, man’ as Eddie sidestepped his lunch tray on one of his biweekly jaunts across the jock table and the third, which Eddie only now recalled, had surprised him.
He’d gotten a D in history. It’d been the final nail in the coffin, solidifying the fact that he’d once again have to repeat his senior year. Eddie spent the rest of the class carving his name into the underside of his desk with his thumbnail until it was bloody and covered in splinters.
He’d almost lasted until the end of class before he had to excuse himself with little plan of where he was going or what he was doing. He knew he wanted to get away, that he needed to be anywhere but there. He wasn’t sure what’d tipped Harrington off but as he shuffled past the former king’s desk, his eyes downcast, a hand shot out to snag Eddie’s forearm.
“Hey, Munson? There’s always next year,” Steve muttered under his breath.
From anyone else, it would’ve sounded condescending, but Steve genuinely meant it. Eddie hadn’t known what to say. He’d felt a sudden lump rise in his throat. He took off, thinking it’d be the last time he’d see Steve Harrington. He’d wished he’d been so lucky.
“So, Harrington, what’s someone like you doing in a place like this?” Eddie asked when his heart rate returned to a regular rhythm. He heard a snort escape Steve’s throat as he leaned back against the opposite wall of the bus.
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”
Eddie wanted to know when Steve had started to sound so world-wearied. Nineteen-year-olds shouldn’t sound so worn thin. The closer he looked at Steve, the more he saw. His eyes were chaliced with the kind of purple, blue bruises that came from weeks of sleeplessness. There was a pale pink scar, slicing a line from his bottom lip to his jaw. In time, it’d fade into obscurity, but for now, in the cold of the night, it stood out like a crack in fine china.
“What are you doing here?” Steve asked, sliding down the wall to a seated position, as though once again settling in for the night. Eddie heard glass tinkle and grind under Steve’s body.
Had his parents kicked him out? Was he hiding from someone? Eddie knew fuck all about Steve Harrington and he’d liked it that way. Screw not doing favours. Red owed him one after all this was said and done.
“Finding a new place to pedal goods. New chief of police has been riding my ass,” Eddie lied. It wasn’t as though he was going to tell Steve he was sent on a fetch quest by a fourteen-year-old.
A flicker of pain shifted across Steve’s face before disappearing. It was a moon sinking below the horizon line, leaving no trace of the momentary night as a false smile painted his face the colour of a sunrise.
“Can’t say I’d recommend this old rust bucket. Isn’t drug dealing in a junkyard a little cliche?” Eddie rolled his eyes and sank to the floor of the bus, nudging Steve’s foot with his.
“Keep giving me lip and you’ll have to pay double.”
Harrington never brought from him. The freckled asshat, he used to hang around with would buy weed once in a blue moon, but never Steve.
“You got anything on you?” He asked to Eddie’s surprise. He hadn’t exactly come prepared. He searched the depths of his pockets, finding two small ziplock bags and half a pack of rolling paper. He threw them Steve’s way.
“On the house. Looks like you need it,” He mused and watched as Steve’s fingers worked, quick and methodical. Hagan had obviously shared his stash with Harrington.
“Got a light?”
Eddie fetched his Zippo from his back pocket and leaned over to light Steve’s joint. The guy looked surprised. He should’ve handed the lighter over. Too late now.
Steve’s lips were poised so close to Eddie’s fingers. His face illuminated by flame, caused Eddie to shift closer. He lifted a hand to Steve’s cheek, acting under the guise of trying to shield the flame from the breeze filtering in through the broken windows and half-open door.
“You got anything stronger?” Steve spoke, breathing a plume of smoke into the night air. Eddie wasn’t sure it was wise, but he’d never counted wisdom as his strong suit.
“Back at my place.” Steve snorted, smoke billowing from his half-pursed lips, his eyes beginning to haze over.
“People’ll talk.”
People always talked when it came to Steve, but surely not in the way the boy was implying. Ramrod straight, Steve Harrington couldn’t make a gay quip, not about himself. Maybe he was embarrassed about what being seen with Eddie could do to his dwindling reputation.
“I’m pretty good at keeping a low profile,” Eddie supplied, and Steve nodded stoically.
“Stealthy, like a ninja,” Steve replied.
It was Eddie’s turn to choke out a laugh. Goofy had never been a quality he’d assigned to Steve Harrington. He supposed the trait had its charm. It worked on Eddie.
“Like a ninja,” Eddie echoed.
When he’d said yes to Red, he’d assumed he’d drag Steve’s likely-intoxicated, ex-jock ass home and call it a night, but looking at the boy across from him with the joint tucked between his lips and the thousand-yard-stare, Eddie had to admit there was a change of plans.
“Have you heard about the world’s best ninja?” Eddie asked, his once pristine shoes nudged themselves beneath Steve’s Born in the USA style blue jeans.
Steve shook his head, a flicker of curiosity dancing over his face, his stupid floppy hair, falling in his eyes.
“That’s why he’s the best,” Eddie insisted and felt his insides grow warm when Steve cackled. He was pretty when he laughed. He looked more like the guy he’d been back in high school, more carefree.
Eddie wasn’t a stranger to sitting with people and talking them down on their worst nights, but a relative stranger was new.
Eddie stood and extended a hand to Steve. The boy clasped onto his ringed fingers and pulled himself up.
“My van’s parked half a mile up the way, you coming?” Steve shrugged and followed close at Eddie’s side.
The two walked in relative silence, standing so close their hips played the role of balls in a Newton’s cradle, knocking against one another in a rhythmic pattern.
Back in the familiar landscape of his van, Eddie was once again hit with the strangeness of the situation as he watched Steve slide into his passenger seat, snubbing out the remains of the joint in the ashtray. He thought of their spit mingling in the little petri dish and pushed that thought aside. He’d always been good at holding back those kinds of thoughts. It came with the territory.
“Why do you need something strong?” Eddie asked as he turned the ignition.
If he’d learnt anything from his uncle, it was that hard conversations were best had behind the wheel. That way no one could storm out. He’d admitted to his uncle he’d failed his first senior year as the two sat at the juncture between Maple and Main. He’d come out to Wayne along Lakeside Dr.
“Why did you really come to the junkyard?” Steve countered. He was smarter than he looked, or at least, smarted than Eddie had assumed.
“I’ll show you mine if you show me yours,” Eddie quipped after a second, watching as a bemused smirk twitched onto Steve’s face.
“It’s been a hard year, man. Hard couple of years,” Steve confessed. Eddie wasn’t going to let him get off that easy.
“Is this to do with you getting unceremoniously shunted off the top of the Hawkins’ High totem pole?” Eddie asked.
He had a feeling whatever it was ran far deeper than just popularity, but this was Steve Harrington. Steve was pretty and popular. He wasn’t allowed to have real problems. That’s not how the rich and stuck-up operated.
“Honestly? No. Think that might’ve been a good thing.” Steve drummed his fingers against the passenger door.
“Then was it the thing with Wheeler?” Eddie asked, watching Steve cringe. Maybe he should leave it alone.
“Part of it. I don’t know.” What followed was a loaded silence.
Eddie kept casting glimpses from Steve to the road, watching as his face screwed in concentration as he searched for words.
“I feel like it’s my job to protect everybody,” He admitted, his voice barely raising above a whisper.
“And I don’t know how. I feel like I’m supposed to have all the answers but I just... I feel like a kid, who’s in way over his head.” Steve pulled his knees up to his chest, and settled his chin on them, not daring to look in Eddie’s direction.
He was a year older than Steve and he felt like a lost kid most of the time, as though he was an imposter masquerading as someone who knew what the hell he was doing. He wondered if that feeling ever went away.
“Red sent me to check up on you. The kid’s worried,” Eddie confessed watching as Steve’s head snapped to look in his direction.
“She’s got enough on her plate without worrying about me.”
Steve didn’t need to say what Max was dealing with. Eddie knew. Hawkins was a small town, and Billy Hargreaves was infamous. Eddie had a bad feeling about the guy from day one, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t feel sorry for him, dying in a mall fire. Hell of a way to go.  He’d heard rumours Max had been there when it happened. Then again, he’d also heard talk of Steve slinging ice cream at the mall. Eddie could see a picture beginning to form. He didn’t like it.
The two didn’t speak for the rest of the drive back to Eddie’s trailer. There was nothing left to say. Steve continued to tap his fingers absentmindedly, so Eddie leaned over, turning on the radio. The tape deck played the thrashing guitar and pounding beats of the latest Slayer album. Eddie liked it well enough, but he cringed, preparing for Steve to chew it up and spit it out. He didn’t. He shut his eyes, rested his head against the passenger window and promptly fell asleep. Eddie would be damned.
Unsure of what to do with the sleeping boy and the blaring music, Eddie drove in circles around all the familiar back roads of Hawkins, steering clear of the potholes and dirt tracks. It wasn’t until Eddie’s eyes started to droop that he called it a night, pulling up outside his trailer, flicking his floodlights twice in the direction of the Mayfield’s, letting Max know he’d gotten Steve home safe. Well, he’d gotten Steve to his home safely.
Eddie was contemplating the logistics of getting Steve out of the car when the boy began to stir. His eyes fluttered open for a second to meet Eddie’s before he groaned and turned to bury his face into the car seat. Damn it all. Eddie had managed to go for years without developing a crush on Steve, it wasn’t goddamn fair he was about to do it now.
“Good morning, Starshine,” Eddie teased, walking around to open the passenger door for Steve.
“Welcome to my humble abode. I have drugs or you know... a comfortable bed. Pick your poison,” Eddie spoke as the two made their way to his trailer.
As they stepped into the main room, Eddie watched as Steve’s eyes scanned the place, lingering on Wayne’s collection of mugs and novelty hats, a ghost of a smile on his face. Eddie grabbed onto Steve’s wrist and led him down the hall.
“The drugs and the bed are in my room,” Eddie explained as they went.
Eddie nudged the door to his room open with a flourish of his hands.
“This is where the magic happens,” Eddie explained and watched as Steve quirked a brow.
“Mind out of the gutter, Harrington. I was talking about literal magic.” Eddie smirked gesturing to his stack of Dungeons and Dragons’ manuals, handbooks, and campaign notes.
“You’re such a nerd,” Steve grumbled flopping onto Eddie’s bed.
Maybe it was the high that’d made him seem looser, but Eddie liked a Steve who took charge. He crawled under the covers, making himself at home in Eddie’s bed.
“Demogorgons suck ass,” Steve uttered after a moment, his face muffled by Eddie’s pillow. He wondered if he’d fallen asleep on the ride home and driven them into a ditch, because there was no way Steve was in his bed, talking about D&D. Eddie liked demogorgons, something he elegantly articulated by muttering,
“You suck ass.” As he flopped beside Steve in bed. Steve snorted.
“That’s one thing I haven’t tried,” he confessed. Yes, he was high. Eddie couldn’t imagine a sober Steve making that confession openly.
Eddie settled on top of the covers, hyperaware a sober Steve might not be as receptive to waking up beside Eddie. He was in over his head.
“Are you okay with this?” Eddie questioned as he rolled over to lay on his side, propping his head up to get a better look at Steve, half smothered in his sheets. As much as people talked about Steve’s love life, they also talked less favourably about Eddie’s, or his lack thereof.
“You’re not going to punch me in the face in the morning?” Eddie concluded, voicing his concerns. His heart was tugging him closer to Steve, but he wasn’t willing to do anything they’d both regret.
He’d been shockingly open to letting the boy into his innermost sanctum. Maybe he had a saviour complex, but he wanted to know how much of a commitment the two would have, how long was the piece of rope that tied them together? Was it a momentary truce or the start of something?
“No,” Steve breathed after a beat, seeming equal parts understanding and offended Eddie had asked.
The two lapsed into silence. Eddie was left wondering if Steve had fallen asleep again, but the rise and fall of the boy’s chest was too shallow. Steve eventually let out a groan and rolled to face Eddie. Whatever momentary reprieve had allowed him to sleep in the car had passed.
Eddie’s gaze was once again drawn to the growing blue beneath Steve’s eyes. He had stuff that could help Steve sleep, but he knew from experience, drugs could only do so much. They were numbing jell on a knife wound, a momentary relief from pain without fixing the real problem.
“Can’t sleep?” Eddie spoke, trying to get inside Steve’s head, to unpick what was going on with him. Steve nodded miserably.
“Anything I can do to help?” Eddie wondered.
There were no guidelines for the strange turn the night had taken. Steve opened and shut his mouth, gaping like a fish on dry land. He had some thoughts, it appeared, but none he was willing to voice right away. Eddie felt strangely endeared to the boy in his bed. He’d give him anything he asked, even if he didn’t think it was smart.
“Is it true, what people say about you?” Steve asked after a long pause.
That wasn’t what Eddie had expected. He blanched and watched as Steve’s eyes swelled, his panic rolling off him in waves, crashing head-on into Steve.
“Never mind, don’t answer that. Christ, that was invasive. Sorry,” Steve fumbled, sinking further beneath Eddie’s sheets to hide his face. It appeared it was a night for confessions.
“Were you asking about the satanic shit or the gay thing?” Eddie spoke candidly, his fingers knotting in the covers.
You didn’t come out to just anyone. You sure as hell didn’t come out to someone like Steve unless you had a death wish, though Eddie was quickly learning the Steve Harrington that existed in his head and the one lying in his bed were two different creatures.
“Forget I asked,” Steve repeated, rolling over to turn away from Eddie, a faint flush dusting his cheeks.
“I don’t worship the devil and I’m not gay,” Eddie found himself confiding.
He watched as Steve’s body went still. Eddie couldn’t see his face, but he could tell his mind had kicked into overdrive.
“Oh, cool,” Steve spoke sounding suddenly distant, as though that hadn’t been the answer he was looking for. Eddie didn’t know Steve Harrington at all.
“But I’d be lyin’ if I said you were the first guy I’ve had in here, Steve,” Eddie continued, giving away more than he’d intended.
Steve peered over his shoulder and quirked a brow. He didn’t look shocked or disgusted as Eddie had anticipated. He looked relieved.
“Like Bowie?” He wondered aloud. Eddie couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
“Yeah, like Bowie- I mean, I have a preference. Guys suit me better, I guess. But sometimes a girl’ll surprise me.”
The conversation felt intimate, surprisingly more so than when he’d admitted it to the guys in Corroded Coffin. With them, there hadn’t been follow-up questions. The guys had been supportive, but they hadn’t known what to say. It’d been another fact about Eddie they’d taken in their stride without much acknowledgement. He hadn’t felt the need to explain himself. He didn’t know why, but when it came to Steve, he felt like he needed to explain the whole thing in intimate detail.
“Me too,” Steve muttered, sounding entirely unlike himself. He was quiet and unsure; two traits Eddie had never assigned to the Steve that lived in his head.
“I mean... for me, girls are easy. Guys are... new?” Once more, Steve sounded unsure.
“Maybe not new because it’s always been there but I just left it alone.” Eddie wondered what’d spurred on the change, whether it was a near-death experience or something else entirely. Eddie was good at reading between the lines.
“Steve, I’m going to ask you again, okay? What do you want me to do?”
Steve sucked air in through his teeth, gripped the sheets and finally let his shoulders sag.
“Can you just... hold me, for a bit?” Steve asked at last, sounding as though Eddie had placed a loaded gun to his head. Of all the things Eddie had been expecting, that wasn’t it.
Eddie moved closer, lining up his hips and Steve’s back, throwing an arm around the boy’s waist. It was different. Eddie was used to closeted guys wanting to have sex with him, but they didn’t hang around long after.
He thought back to Steve’s words. The guy wanted to protect everybody, from god knows what, but who was looking out for him? He hooked his chin on Steve’s shoulder. He smelled faintly of cologne and something chemical, hairspray.
“This okay?” Eddie clarified. Steve’s body felt stiff and unresponsive in his arms.
Steve hummed. It took him a moment to relax but when he did, he practically melted into Eddie. The boy pushed back, fitting their knees together. Eddie was thankful they’d decided to keep their jeans on, fearful of what any more skin-to-skin contact would do. Steve cradled Eddie’s palm to his heart and dropped his chin to his chest, so Eddie could feel the ghost of the boy’s breath dance across his fingertips. Steve was a renowned good lay, but the Harrington charm went deeper than that. The guy was good at cuddling, something Eddie hadn’t thought was possible until he had every inch of Steve pressed and curled against him.
“This okay for you?” Steve asked after a moment, his breath tickled against Eddie’s knuckles.
“Great for me,” Eddie confirmed sounding as breathless as he felt.
Steve’s heart beneath his hand thundered, letting Eddie know the boy wasn’t as cool and collected as he was pretending to be. He didn’t point it out. He did two things very out of character for Eddie Munson. He remained still and silent. Steve’s breath grew deep and even. Eddie leaned closer, pressing his face into the nape of Steve’s neck as the boy began to whimper in his sleep.
“I got you,” He assured.
“You’re safe. M’not going to let anything happen to you.” Eddie promised.
It took time, but Steve settled and at last, Eddie let the long night swallow him whole.
Tumblr media
Max decided Eddie Munson was useless. She’d watched him pull up outside his trailer around three and she hadn’t heard from him since. She’d thought the idiot would at least give her a heads up on how things had gone with Steve, but it appeared she had to do everything for herself.
At 10 a.m. when there was still no sign of life from the Munson’s trailer, save for Eddie’s uncle pulling in around six, Max stalked over and wrapped her knuckles against Eddie’s bedroom window. After a moment a mop of curly brown hair popped into view.
“Wha?” The boy grumbled, still half asleep.
“How did things go last night?” Max asked, taking the tone of a scolding mother, talking to a very small, very dumb child.
“Good,” Eddie confided a goofy grin crossing his face. It confirmed Max’s suspicions. Everyone else, save her, was useless.
“Well, where the hell was he? Did you talk to him? Did he seem weird? Is he okay?” Max rattled off a list of rapid-fire questions only to be hushed by Eddie.
“He’s sleeping, Red. Keep the volume down.”
Max opened her mouth to ask what the hell Eddie was talking about when she caught a familiar glimpse of styled, sandy hair peeking out from beneath the sheets. Max, unlike most people, wasn’t an idiot. She’d grown up in California, she knew the way the world worked. She didn’t need anyone to spell it out for her.
“Gross,” She grumbled. Not because Steve and Eddie were both men but because Steve was like her older brother and Eddie was- she didn’t want to think about it.
Max let out an elongated sigh, squared her shoulders and spoke.
“You like scary movies, right Munson?” He seemed like the type.
Eddie nodded.
“Michael Myers hasn’t got a thing on Max Mayfield. You do anything stupid with Steve and I’ll show you how I got the nickname Mad Max.”
Eddie swallowed thickly and nodded. It was all for show, but someone had to say it. Someone should always be in Steve’s corner. Max had the feeling Steve wasn’t used to people looking out for him. She knew the feeling.
“Sir yes sir,” He breathed, faking a salute. Max rolled her eyes.
She had a feeling she was going to regret bringing Steve and Eddie together but when hours later, Steve showed up at her house with a Tupperware container full of spaghetti and a secret smile on his lips, she had to admit, for once she might be wrong.

okay but now I'm thinking abt steve dating eddies ex gf/best friend and realizing he's bi.
\\\
like you and eds broke up before the event of s3 bc he you were both stressed abt trying to graduate (him for the second time.) so there's no bad blood, and you guys decide to stay friends, best friends even. even after summer starts, neither of you make any attempt to get back together.
then, you go through hell with steve in the basement of starcourt together only your second week working at scoops. (while steve is high he admits how sexy he thinks you look in that little sailor skirt. he's a secret freak okay?) and the rest is history.
so after the events of s4, eddie becomes part of the friend group and steve gets curious one night after you indirectly make fun of eddie for one of his kinks. he ask abt yours and eddies sex life.
and you tell him everything.
and steve is so surprised how worked up it gets him. not just imagining you doing such depraved things in the bedroom, but also eddie doing them to you.
it's safe to say that that night he fucks you harder than he ever has before.
and steve loves you, he really does. so much it hurts. and that's what makes him pace the kitchen at 3 am, thinking how to tell you that he thinks he might like men too. more specifically, that he might have a crush on your ex bf.

Actually the funniest and my personal favourite way to interpret Eddie's scenes with Chrissy is that he was DEFINITELY flirting with her like a motherfucker but she was a raging lesbian in a terrible comphet relationship and looked at this bonkers weirdo and went "Funky little queer friend? Nonthreatening gayboy bestie for me, mayhaps?" Completely misreading Eddie's intentions but also clocking him as a fellow queer in a wicked one-two punch of oblivious and accurate observation.

wedding day / steddie / one shot
cw- ??
Tumblr media
When Steddie are planning their wedding, Steve begs Eddie to book a proper wedding singer and Eddie swears he’ll get round to it. Cut to like a week before the wedding, he has the realisation that he forgot to do just that. When the wedding rolls around, he spends the whole night juggling having to run backwards and forwards from the stage with Corroded Coffin and back to Steve. Steve would be upset if it wasn’t so amusing watching Eddie shred the guitar like a god and then having to act composed while giving his speech.

Quarantine
Summary: Eddie and Steve are stuck in quarantine together. They try to find ways to deal with it and to pass time.
A/N: I had so much fun writing this. I hope you enjoy it. It's kind of long.
After the destruction of Vecna, things did not get better so quickly in Hawkins. Yes, Eddie survived but only barely, and it was taking longer to clear him of all of the murder charges. The gates were closed, and Hawkins was slowly rebuilding. Meanwhile, he was stuck in quarantine with Steve Harrington, not that Eddie was complaining because as it turns out . . . King Steve had only been a facade. It had been a pleasure to get to know the real Steve. Eddie was finding the whole quarantine situation weird.
"Why don't they have us all quarantined in one place again?" Eddie asked from his spot on the couch.
"Well, they wanted us to be quarantined at the old Hawkins lab, but Hopper fought against that so we're in our houses," Steve explained. "How many times do you need to hear this?"
It's been so long that Eddie had been mostly healed of all of his bat bites. He was now upside down on the couch, watching the same commercial that had just come on. Eddie wanted to throw his shoe at the TV but he figured that would make him a terrible guest.
"I'm bored. . . let's sneak out," Eddie said.
"They're watching us, Eddie," Steve said with a sigh.
"We feel fine. I am feeling no side effects of the Upside Down coming into Hawkins. . . none whatsoever," Eddie said. "We're prisoners. . . their little puppets and I swear, they're going to come in the middle of the night to have their way with us. Well, at least I'll finally lose my virginity."
"Eddie!" Steve snapped.
"What's wrong?" Eddie asked. "Are you having Robin withdrawal? I think I might be having Dustin withdrawal. I miss that kid."
"Yeah, I think I know what you mean," Steve muttered.
Eddie rolled back into a normal position and jumped off the couch.
"Let's play hide and seek!" Eddie exclaimed. "Your house is big enough to hide anywhere."
"How old are you?" he asked.
"I don't know, cut me open and count the rings," Eddie said. "Tag you're it! Close your eyes and count to twenty!"
Steve sighed before closing his eyes. Fuck it, he was bored too. He counted to twenty and opened his eyes. Eddie was nowhere to be found. He stood up and took off his shoes before heading off to find Eddie. This was so stupid, Steve thought. He looked in the kitchen, but he wasn't there. Steve went in through the main room to look at the small room where the sliding glass doors that led out to the pool. He wasn't there either. Steve's father's study was on the other side of the small room, and he walked in to find Eddie, but he wasn't there either. He made his way upstairs when he got an idea.
"Oh, I can't find Eddie anywhere. I guess he really did decide to leave. I guess that means I can finally say what's on my mind," Steve grinned. "James Hetfield sucks!"
"You take that back, Steven James Harrington!" Eddie shrieked.
Steve chuckled. Of course, he was hiding in his room. Steve opened the door to his room and smiled at the sight of his closet door slightly open. He pulled the door opened and found Eddie hiding amongst his clothes.
"I got you!" Steve shrieked.
"Goddamnit! That was a trick, wasn't it?" Eddie pouted and Steve laughed. "Mean."
"Wait, how did you know my middle name?" Steve asked.
"I stole your wallet earlier and peaked at your license," Eddie said and Steve gave him a look. "What? I was bored."
"Alright, cover your eyes, asshole," Steve said. "You're it."
A few turns later and they found themselves on the floor of the guest room that Eddie's been sleeping in. They were bored again.
"Okay, how much time has passed now?" Eddie asked.
"I don't think we even made it to thirty minutes!" Steve exclaimed.
"Fuck!" Eddie exclaimed, rubbing his eyes. "Okay, do you have any ideas?"
"I have books, we could read," Steve shrugged.
"Wait, you have books? Why the fuck didn't you tell me? Have you been hoarding them like some sort of book dragon? Steven James, are you a book dragon?" Eddie asked.
"I would tell you if I were a book dragon," Steve replied.
"Would you though?" Eddie asked and stood up. "Lead me to the books, my liege."
Steve stood up and as he did so, Eddie jumped onto his back.
"Eddie!"
"Onward, noble steed!" Eddie said. "We must find this treasure before sundown!"
He wrapped his legs around Steve and squeezed Steve with his legs. The other man sighed before heading downstairs and towards the basement. It was small, comfortable, and a lot more friendly than the rest of Steve's house. Eddie could tell that this was where the kids hung out whenever they came over. He smiled in amusement when he saw that Steve had hung up their drawings. Eddie jumped off Steve's back and ran towards the bookshelf in the back.
"Yes! You have the Hobbit!" Eddie exclaimed. "Have you read the Hobbit?"
"No," Steve said.
"Oh, boy, you are in for it," Eddie asked, and he pushed him onto the couch. "Sit and watch as I bring it to life."
A couple of hours later, Steve and Eddie woke up from a deep sleep.
"When the hell did we fall asleep?" Eddie asked. "And why are we awake? Steve, how long has it been now?"
"I think it's still the same day," he said and Eddie screamed then he stopped.
"Wait, is it close to dinner time?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah."
"Let's go make dinner!" Eddie exclaimed.
An hour later, they were back in the living room, sprawled out and clutching their stomachs.
"How long has it been now?" Eddie asked. "Is it still the same day?"
"Yes," Steve said.
"Steve, make time go by faster," Eddie said. "I command it."
"Yeah, no," Steve said.
"There's nothing on TV," Eddie said with a sigh. "Steve, have you ever kissed a guy?"
"What? No!" Steve said.
"Have you ever thought about kissing a guy?" He asked.
"Have you ever thought about it?" Steve asked.
"A little. I have kissed a girl and I did like that. Recently, I've always wondered what it would be like to kiss a guy. How different is it?" Eddie said. "I mean, my sexuality is definitely wobbly right now."
"You want to kiss me?" Steve asked with wide eyes.
"You see any other guys around? You whipping off that sweater on the boat and whipping at me definitely sparked something in me, big boy, so yeah, I definitely want to kiss you," Eddie said.
"That did something for you, did it?" Steve said, standing up. "Whipping off my shirt and throwing it at you? Do you like it when my junk hits you in the face?"
"Fuck off," Eddie laughed.
Steve whipped off his shirt and threw it at him. He walked over to Eddie and straddled his lap, hovering just slightly.
"You like this?" Steve asked softly, and Eddie nodded. "Can I kiss you?"
Eddie nodded again. Steve pushed his hair back and cupped his face, brushing his thumb over Eddie's cheekbones. He leaned in, and Eddie met him halfway, closing the gap. A shot of excitement shot through Steve as he tasted Eddie's soft lips, shivered when Eddie's skin met his as he placed his hand on the small of Steve’s back. It shot through Steve and all the way down to his dick. Yeah, Steve definitely liked it. He liked the way Eddie kissed, curious and slowly at first, but then it grew more passionate. Eddie liked it, too. Another jolt shot through him as Eddie tugged him down onto his clothed, hard dick. Eddie broke the kiss, and his hand went to his belt buckle.
"You sparked the fire, Stevie," Eddie said, grinning wickedly. "I'm adding more fuel. May I?"
"Yeah. Yes!"
TWO DAYS LATER. . .
Eddie was lying naked in Steve's bed, watching Steve sleep beside him. Eddie grinned. Poor sweetheart was worn out, and Eddie did that. Eddie traced the moles on his back and leaned down to kiss them.
"Steeevvie," Eddie sang softly.
"Mm, what?" Steve asked.
"So grumpy when you first wake up," Eddie said. "Steve, I'm bored."
Steve groaned and flopped over onto his back.
"Was I not a good enough distraction for you?" Steve said.
Eddie laughed and straddled him.
"You're definitely the best distraction ever, but this house is driving me insane. I need to get out. We have done everything that there is to do in this house, including each other. We're definitely bisexual. We kissed and fucked in every room of this house," Eddie said.
"Not my parents' room," Steve said.
"Yeah, that room scares me. There's some bad juju in there," Eddie said and paused. "Stevie, I want to take you out."
Steve sat up, placing his hands on his hips.
"What are you saying exactly?" Steve asked.
"Well, I don't want to kill you, so I'm asking. . .Steve, do you want to be my boyfriend?" Eddie said.
"Yeah, baby, I want to be your boyfriend," Steve said and flipped him over onto his back.
An hour later, after another round of sex, Eddie was lying on his back and staring at the ceiling while Steve was slowly drifting back off to sleep.
"That's it," Eddie said, throwing off the blankets and slipping out of the bed.
"Where are you going?!" Steve asked.
"To talk to them," Eddie said, storming out of the room.
"Eddie!" Steve yelled, jumping out of the bed. "You're still naked! I thought we decided to that I was the only one allowed to see you like this. . .you know, as your boyfriend! Eddie!"
Eddie walked out of the house and stood on the porch steps. A car was parked out front with two suits sitting inside.
"Hey, assholes!" Eddie yelled.
"Jesus Christ, kid! Put on some clothes and go back inside!" The suit said.
"I shan't put on any clothing until you foul beasts have let us go!" Eddie declared.
"Get the hell back inside!" The suit yelled.
"Are you going to come over here and make me?" Eddie asked. "While you're at it, why don't you get on your knees and suck my - "
The door behind him opened, and Steve pulled him inside. He slammed the door and locked it.
"Are you crazy?" Steve asked.
"That's up for debate. Wayne has threatened to get me tested a couple of times," Eddie said.
"I can't believe I like you," Steve said, smiling.
"Yeah? Do you like it when i get a little crazy?" Eddie grinned as he pressed up against Steve and started kissing his neck. "What else do you like about me?"
"You're sweet and fun. I like the way you keep me on my toes, and you make me so happy that I could scream," Steve said and then said softly, "You make me happy."
"You make me happy too. Honestly, big boy, why the hell did you even bother putting these back on?" Eddie said and pulled down his boxers.
"Again, really? You know, we're out of condoms," Steve said.
"Seriously? Already?" Eddie asked.
"You used the rest of them to start a water balloon fight with the suits yesterday," Steve said. "One of them threatened to shoot you."
"He only said that because I filled one of them with milk," Eddie said.
"Oh my god!"
Steve wondered if it was just a coincidence or if Eddie really did have anything to do with it, but the very next day, they got the call that the quarantine was over. Eddie tried to celebrate with Steve, but they were interrupted by yet another phone call. It was Dustin and Robin. They were coming over. Eddie couldn't be mad. He missed both of them. Plus, it was really cute how excited Steve was at the prospect of seeing them. Eddie and Steve swarmed them when they walked through the door, hugging them tightly.
"So, how did you guys hold up in quarantine?" Dustin asked.
"Oh, we did very well," Eddie said and shared a look with Steve, giving him a nod.
"Robin, let's go to the bathroom and talk," Steve said.
"Okay, but why the bathroom?" She asked as she walked off with him. "Steve. . .why the bathroom? Steve? . . . Oh my God!"
"Really? You couldn't have waited until we got to the bathroom to figure it out?" Steve pouted. "I was doing a thing."
"OH MY GOD!" Robin exclaimed.
"Okay. Yes, get it out," Steve rolled his eyes.
"OH. MY. GOD!"
Dustin looked over Eddie's shoulder, frowning when he saw Robin hugging Steve tightly.
"What do you think they're talking about over there?" Dustin asked.
"Oh, he's probably telling Robin that I'm fucking him," Eddie said casually.
Dustin had the misfortune to be drinking something when Eddie said that. He choked and coughed, staring at Eddie with wide eyes.
"Are you serious?"
"Yep!"
"Oh my God! I thought that you two would become best friends when I planned this, but you two becoming more is better than I could have imagined," Dustin laughed.
"What?!" Eddie asked, staring him down.
"Okay, so, uh funny story, I faked the quarantine," Dustin said.
"You faked the quarantine?!" Eddie exclaimed. "How?! Why?"
"Well, after Vecna, you and Steve seemed to be distancing each other, so I really wanted you guys to hang out, so I faked the quarantine," Dustin laughed nervously. "Also, you've been cleared of all charges."
"What?! Okay. How did you manage to keep that from me?" Eddie asked.
"I told Hop and everyone that I would tell you, but then I didn't," Dustin said sheepishly.
"Did I just hear correctly?" Steve asked, coming up behind Eddie. "You faked the quarantine?"
Eddie grabbed the hat off his head and started to hit him with it. He grabbed him roughly, kissed the top of his head, and put his hat back.
"You're lucky that everything worked out, you meddling little shit," Eddie said.
"Wait, who were the suits?" Steve asked.
"Oh, yeah, I paid Murray and Dimitri with my compensation money," Dustin said. "Murray shaved his beard and wore a wig."
"Oh, my God!" Eddie said in realization. "I bombed a Russian with water filled condoms."

Personal Lies pt 1
Pt2 pt3 pt4 Pt5
Note: To any new readers, the first 4 chapters are pretty bad but I will re-write those at some point and I promise it gets better.
"Steve Harrington was one of the newest indie artists in 2023 who gained some popularity in the genre when he released his first album titled 'The King.' The album was a dedication to someone he had a crush on in high school. He was the school's resident freak who nobody wanted, while Steve was in the popular crowd and he was of course quite the sex symbol.
The first single he released was called 'Personal Lies' which he used to express how he felt when he first fell for this anonymous boy. The order he released the songs showcases how he felt over time and why he was crushing after 'the freak.' This leads to the question 'is this love still there?' Steve will neither confirm nor deny this but revealed he still wishes the boy remembered him.
Will he find this boy? Will crushes bloom?"
-------------------
Steve's Pov:
"Oh my god Robs." Steve scoffs "Are you seeing this shit?!" He turns his phone over to Robin to show her a TikTok page dedicated to finding his mystery boy. She can barely contain the giggle that slips past her lips. "Babes your face is like bright red, you look like a tomato. It's okay~ they're just trying to help." Steve gets up from his seat to aggressively bring his and his roommate's dishes to the sink.
"How did they find all of that out about me though?!" Steve reads the information on the TikTok. "For 20 years Steve lived in a small place in Indiana called Hawkins. Steve went to Hawkins Middle school and Hawkins high. He used to be best friends with a kid named Tommy Hagan and Carol Perkins, who are dating. Steve's new friends consist of Nancy Wheeler (his ex-girlfriend), her brother Mike Wheeler, Will Byers (Mike's boyfriend), and his brother Jonathan Byers. Steve seems to be very close with Dustin Henderson, Max Mayfield, Lucas Sinclair, Erica Sinclair, Argyle (last name unknown), Jane Hopper, and his roommate/best friend Robin Buckley."
"Like who told them?!" Steve takes a deep breath and looks at Robin. He seems calm but decides to start rambling. "I just don't understand why I can't just live my lonely single life without people butting in??? Eddie probably doesn't even remember me and even if he did he's probably not even gay or he just hates me. Did you know I was a dick to him in school? I didn't mean to be a dick I just really wanted some. Specifically hi-"
Robin slaps a hand over her best friend's mouth. "Steve...? Stop." He lets out a sad sounding sigh. "If you don't want to find him, we don't have to but I think it would be the perfect idea to make you feel something again. After me and Nance started dating you seemed so sad. You need someone to love Stevie."
"Yeah whatever" Robin mutters something about calling Gareth (Eddie's bestfriend since high school) and without anymore words they continue their movie.
----------------------
2 days later
The smell of eggs and bacon fills the room of a sleeping Steve. His headache has no signs of going away but he regretfully gets out of bed. The first thing he sees when he opens the door is Robin, who has 2 glasses of her hangover cure. "Here Steve!" He hesitates before taking it. Robin usually doesn't let him use her cure and tells him to 'make it himself.' "Is it drugged?" Steve smells the gross looking slurry. It doesn't smell half bad.
"No dumbass it's not drugged. Didn't you see the news?" Steve gives her a questioning look, waiting for her to respond. "You are on the billboard hot 100!"
Steve slams his glass down on the counter hoping it doesn't break. "Holy shit Robs are you fucking serious?!" "Dead."
Steve starts freaking out. "What if Eddie sees and knows it's about him?!" Robin giggles. "He doesn't really listen to your type of music I don't think. I don't think he knows. He's not even on social media as far as I know. You'll be okay Stevie. Why don't you want him to know that it's about him?"
He downs his drink and goes to put it in the sink. "What if he still thinks i'm an asshole and wants nothing to do with me? I don't wanna risk it ya' know?" Robin rolls her eyes at Steve's stupidity and grabs her phone.
Robin's Pov:
Last night Robin decided to text Gareth and see if he's still in contact with Eddie and if he'd heard Steve's new album. Good news, he was still best friends with Eddie. Bad news, Gareth hates Steve and refuses to listen. Robin refuses to give up and she invites him for an early lunch at the coffee shop a few blocks away, and with some negotiation he agrees.
--------------------------
Gareth walks into the shop wearing a ripped mesh shirt, an iron maden shirt, and dark blue baggy jeans. His hair is longer and the ends are colored red. He looks so much different from high school.
"Gareth!!" Robin swings out her arms for a hug. He cautiously accepts and they sit down at the table next to the window. "So why did you invite me here? I know it wasn't just to have a coffee." Robin feels her smile grow. "Did you know Steve has a crush on Eddie?" Gareth freezes and has a confused but amused look on his face.
"Eddie has a crush on Steve... He literally wrote his newest album about his crush in high school." Robin slaps the table and gets looks from the other customers. "Steve did the same thing!! We need to set them up!" Gareth looks intrigued so she keeps going.
"Steve's fans have been trying to figure out who the mystery boy is and I bet your guys' fans are probably doing the same thing. So what if we let them keep guessing for a little while longer and then we hook them up!" His face lights up and he grabs his phone. "I have to go but I just send you my Instagram and the band's Instagram. Let's hope this plan works."
They say their goodbyes and right when Robin gets in her car she checks his Instagram.

It has been a few days since Steve and I let Eddie join us. A few days only thinking about that night. After that night Steve and I have been meeting up with him, just to hang out as he is not a freak as everyone paints him to be. He is actually a really nice boy just with different interests, that’s all.
“Steve, can we talk?” he nods in agreement. I sit on his lap, like I normally do and start playing with his hair. “ Do you think we could invite Eddie into the relationship? Like we all have great chemistry together and when we meet up we have so much fun.” Steve doubts for a few seconds, standing up while walking around his room in circles.
“ We could try it, I mean, we should make some rules so we don’t fuck this thing up” he sits next to me, pressing a kiss on my lips.
“Let me call him!” I run downstairs, where the phone is, almost falling. I ring his number. One beep, two beeps, three beeps and then he answers.
“ Hello?” he asks, sounding kinda sleepy.
“Hey.. this is (Y/N), i was–” he cuts me off.
“Hi there beautiful” he says in a raspy voice.
“ Could you come to my house? We both need to talk to you.” my voice shakes a little bit, because I’m nervous if he is going to like the idea, if this is going to work out
“Is everything okay?” he asks with concern.
“Yeah, I’m just a little bit nervous that’s all. Can you come in like thirty minutes?” he agrees and hangs up not before throwing a  “ see you soon sweetheart” that makes me blush.
I don’t have to go upstairs back to Steve, because he has come down, he is laying on the sofa going through different channels. “Babe” he turns around “he is coming in like thirty mintues, is that okay?” I ask.
“Of course. Should we talk about how we are going to ask him, how this is going to work? Just to have something in mind.”. I lay next to him, my head resting on his lap.
“ The only thing I do mind is if you end up spending more time with him than with me” he pouts.
“I would never do that babe” I cup his face and I give him small kisses all over his face, making the both of us laugh. While we wait for Eddie, we talk about small details on this three way relationship thing that might happen. Steve and I are focused on our conversation until the bell rings, that makes me jump from my seat. “I will get that” I say walking towards the door. When it opens a clearly nervous Eddie is at my door. “Hi there, pretty boy” I greet him as I pull his t-shirt, dragging him towards where Steve is sitting. He sits in one of the armchairs while Eddie and I sit on the sofa.
“Soo…” Eddie starts, brushing his hand through his hair, “ what did you guys wanted to talk about? You seemed nervous on the phone” he asks looking at me.
“Well.. Umm basical-” I start but Steve cuts me off
“ We want you to join us, like a relationship of three. We both like you, the other night was amazing and from these past days of us hanging out we both have come to the realization that we want you to join us. It is okay if you don’t want to, we understand that it is something different, but we thought we might ask you” he says with such confidence that catches Eddie and I off guard.
“Ouff I mean this, this is a lot to take on.”he looks at our deceived faces “Oh my god nonono” he freaks out “I like both of you and I would love to try this out, but I’m already considered a freak imagine if someone knew all of this.” he starts walking in circles. I stand up, almost running towards him. I make him stop, our gazes locking.
“ We can keep it a secret if you want to, okay?” I look over to Steve.
“Yeah buddy there is no rush.” he walks slowly towards us hugging me from behind and placing a kiss on Eddie’s forehead, his lips move to the back of neck, sucking into my skin leaving for sure a mark. Eddie takes notice of this and goes for the other side, the sudden feeling of both of their lips on my skin provokes me to moan.
“God (Y/N), you get turned on so easily it is actually pathetic” whispers Steve looking straight to Eddie “Don’t you think Eddie? Don’t you think she is just a pathetic slut wanting to be fucked dumb?Come one Eds tell her” he dictates, grabbing my face, forcing me to look straight to Eddie.
“A fucking pathetic whore, that’s what you are. You are already a mess and we haven’t even started” he says in a husky voice while his hand caresses my cheek moving some hair out of the way. His thumb moves all around my cheek, then it stops near my mouth. I take advantage and move my lips towards it, sucking it looking into his eyes with the most innocent look I can do. “Holy fuck” he whispers in a moan. I take my finger out of his mouth and I turn, both of the boys are looking at me. I grab their hands and guide them towards my room. With the door closed, I let myself fall into my bed.
“Kiss” I demand, they both exchange a weird look. “I said kiss,” I try to demand in a confident voice. I don’t even know how this is happening but I have the two hottest boys of Hawkins making out in my room. Steve's hands are the ones behind Eddie’s neck, showing off who has dominance, while Eddie’s hands pull Steve closer by the waist. One of Steve’s hand pulls Eddie’s hair, forcing his head to roll back a little bit allowing him to start kissing his neck.
Start to take my clothes off, only leaving my underwear, my hand playing with the hem of my panties. As their make out session becomes more intense, t-shirts and jeans flying out, the two boys becoming more naked by the moment, I can’t help but start touching myself, they are so into each other’s mouths that they don’t realize what I’m doing, not until I hit the right spot, a loud moan coming out my mouth, forcing the two boys to stop and look at me.
“Look at her Harrington, demanding us to kiss for her own pleasure” the smirks on both their faces, make me kinda nervous, I know I’m going to pay for this.
“On your knees, and behave okay?” Steve takes his hand out to help me get up and out of bed. I do as I am told, both boys towering over me while their dicks are in front of my face. First I put Steve’s dick on my mouth while with one of my hands I start to jerk off Eddie. The silence of my room is now interrupted by the moaning of the two boys. “Good girl, you are doing amazing” Steve wipes a small tear falling down my face. I keep switching between the two boys, one being harder on me than the other.
“If you don’t stop I’m going to come(Y/N)” he moans, but I don’t stop, deeping his cock as far down my throat as I can, I gag and some tears fall from my eyes, but all of this is worth it when I look up and see his eyes closed, his mouth half open and his hands all tangled on my hair. When he rolls back his head I just know he is about to come, and then it comes the feeling of a warm liquid inside my mouth, Eddie pulls out as I swallow. “You are such a good girl, you know that, right?” he asks. My eyes say it all, he leaves the room to go to the bathroom to clean himself and just recover before coming back.
In the meantime Steve lifts me up and throws me into my bed so hard that I bounce a couple of times. He crawls, his toned back muscles even more defined now, he trails my legs with kisses. “So needy, aren’t you?” I cry as the only thing I want at this very moment is someone inside of me. “Then beg for it sunshine” he says sticking two of his fingers inside of me while his thumb circles my clit.
“Holy fuck Steve!”I scream, sinking my nails on his shoulders for support. “Please Steve fuck me like the slut that I am, I need you” and with that being said he just slides into me knocking the air out of my lungs “fuck” I mouth as Steve pounds on me. When he starts to increase the rhythm is when my moans become louder. Eddie soon joins us. With a harsh movement Steve turns me over, in all fours, the boys whisper something to each other, then Eddie lays under me “lay on top of me” I just follow his instructions, he enters me so easily like I was made for him, while Steve enters my back.
“Oh fuck!” they both start pounding into me, the same rhythm, if one goes slower the other copies him, if one of them starts to catch some pace the other does too, like if the three of us were connected somehow. Eddie’s hands are squeezing my tits while Steve is pulling my head backwards. “Oh, I-I think- I think I’m going to come, fuckk” my hands gripping Eddie's shoulders for some support. “Then come for us baby” Eds husky soft tone being the reason a tightening feeling appears on my abdomen. The arousal felt all over my body like alcohol at a summer party, slowly spreading from my stomach to the rest of my body. The boys seem to have already finished as they let out loud groans, they pull out while a trail of white liquid comes out of me.
“That was amazing guys” I say laying in between the two boys. Before we can shower, loud steps come from the stairs. Someone knocks on my door. “Holy shit” I whisper.
“(Y/N) THE NEXT TIME YOU AND STEVE ARE HAVING SEXY TIME MAKE SURE I’M NOT ABOUT TO COME HOME, THIS SHIT WAS TRAUMATIZING TO HEAR!”Dustin screams from the other side. “Why are Eddie’s car keys outside you-” he stops all of the sudden, coming to a realisation “HOLY JESUS FUCKING CHIRST (Y/N), DISGUSTING, I DIDN’T NEED TO KNOW THAT!” He makes a gagging sound followed by the sounds of running downstairs.
“It is going to be awkward when I have to leave,” Eddie says. We all just laugh.
