Theeeeee most horrendous evening.

Psychiatrist came in and was talking about what they could do to make me stay.

I got hysterical and panicked.

Then, because when you’re manic, you can’t just be upset in a rational way… I got a big burst of energy and lan laps around the ward until I was sedated essentially.

Dr came in this morning and I said “look I’m sorry absout acting nuts last night… I genuinely thought you were about to take one look at me and say “wow! ECT has cured you!” And it was all a bit of a shock I have stuff planned with friends and don’t want to be the reason flights go to waste etc. besides I slept SO. WELL. Last night.” Her: “hmm because the night staff said you were up and down constantly, scavenging for food and cordial” wtf no recollection AT ALL.

(Mum calls this side of me the

“scavenging wombat”

as when I’m manic and staying at my parents’ I enter the kitchen approx. 2 million times a night for fresh cups of water/ice/lime/chocolate/biscuits/toast/cheese/noodles/cucumber with sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce/fruit/yoghurt…).

Anyway I went back into my room and there were 9 salad bowls and biacuit packets everywhere fml haha

Not to mention, no exaggeration, around 30 cups…

I can't get excited about movies involving gaming culture because in order to make it palatable, or even downright explicable to mainstream audiences, you have to whitewash a lot. Yeah, you could show a big tournament of the most popular multiplayer game, but you're probably not going to show a player being disqualified because he tweeted rape threats at a female competitor or show the ensuing “freedom of speech” uproar. You're not going to show youtube personalities like Total Biacuit, who alternates between talking about field of view sliders and lectures on how white privilege isn't real because he knew some rich Pakistanis growing up. Or JonTron getting millions of views for his rants about the Nintendo Switch interspersed with calls to stop refugees from contaminating the blood of the white race. You probably won't show the hero of the movie fly into an apoplectic fugue state because the American localization of Xenoblade removed the ability to give a 13-year-old giant breasts. That’s all just as much a part of gaming culture as fan enthusiasm.
