Longpost: BuckStripe lore Chapter 1: Buckkit Experiences Life and Death.
Cw: Death mention/implication, verbal abuse, and otherwise Warrior cats content.
WRITERS NOTE: I have not read warriors in years. I'm only on chapter three of my reread of Into The Wild. I also overuse commas. I am not sorry. (HI MUTUALS!!!)

Buckkit was prancing through the nursery. He was not aware of his siblings just outside of the den. He was busy, playing with the orange and red leaves of Leaf-Fall. The crunch of the leaves and the feeling of whipping around to catch one with his paw was too satisfying. He loved how the cool breeze of the moors brushed past his fur, lifting and inviting the leaves to dance around him. He mewled proudly, trying to catch each and every one.
Outside the cozy, yet exposed Windclan den, was his siblings. Foxkit and Beekit. His mother, Honeywhisker, was watching over them fondly. She was carefully guiding Beekit, away from some arguing apprentices, when a yowling, screeching cry echoed over camp. A hawk; both keenly and wretchedly snatched up Foxkit. He yowled, crying for his mother. A few warriors and another queen all were scrambling, trying to safely catch the hawk, and free Foxkit. Alas, it was too late. But not to Buckkit. He was busy bullying the spiders in the nursery, batting them fiercely with his paws, pink and black paw pads squishing against the soft moss and gentle earth.
"Buckkit!" yowled Honeywhisker, "Where is my kit?!" Cats around the camp scrambled, grumbling and sniffing the air. There he was, right where he had been for the past hour. His father, Bigleap, snapped at him. "Where were you!" he hissed. "You should've been with your mother! We were worried sick about you!" He nipped at the scruff of Buckkit's neck, carrying him to his mourning mother, who was caterwauling. He hadn't realized he was missing his brother. He never realized much. He was always horrendously distracted. Could one blame him? The world was his, and it was new, and he had free reign.
Well, as far as the Windclan camp borders went, at least. In the night, the stars shone. One could've sworn the sky held an image of a fox, but who could say.
Honeywhisker was sitting perfectly still, silent. She was holding vigil, and Bigleap was right there, to comfort her. "You're an airhead, you know that?!"
Buckkit stared questioningly at his sister.
"I'm serious!" Beekit murmured, "You have feathers for brains!" Her tail lashed, and she bopped him on the snout. "Don't you know Foxkit's gone?!"
He looked up. It hadn't quite occurred to him that that was indeed what happened.
"R...really? W...where'd he go?" He whispered, quietly.
Another bap on his head.
"A hawk got him! Mommy told me! A hawk got him, and now he's in Starclan!" She hissed.
He tilted his head at her. "Can't they just let him come home?"
"No! Ugh! There must be cobwebs between your ears! He's dead!" She yowled.
Dead. The word never quite seemed right to Buckkit. It made sense, he was young. But the context of the word is what threw him off. Every cat who uttered it was either upset, ears flattened and eyes saddened. Or like his sister, fur bristled and small teeth bared.
"D...dead? So...he's? Um, not coming back?" he added, quietly. The awkward silence as he talked really drove his sister crazy.
"YES!" She mewed, glaring icicles at him. "You could've saw it! You could've warned us!"
She was right, in a sense. He could have stopped it. But she was also wrong. It wasn't his fault, not at all. It wasn't any cats' fault. It was the hawk's fault. But she was just laying her survivors guilt onto her clueless, innocent brother. He didn't have to see what she saw. He didn't watch the talons dig into the tiny kit's body, blood staining red fur, and dripping across the dirt.
This was the first death Buckkit would experience, in his path to stalking the Dark Forest.

BIG LEAP SPOILERS
Gabby is one of my favorite characters in the show, but her dancing skills are lackluster.
Her being able to come up with a scheme to challenge Britney’s role is asinine. Even then the fact the she won when there are far better dancers blows my mind.
She's a main character but it just seems like too much.

#elgransalto #bigleap (at Studio Martina Flor) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3pVdsjoLkA/?igshid=aewahzzuo7uf
