After listening to “Lover” and cross referencing it with “DWOHT” and the eye witness account of a trusted friend who saw Taylor and Joe kiss in person with no paps around, I have concluded that there is no possible way that kaylor is still together. Taylor is with Joe now and she seems to be happy with him. It’s clear when you listen to songs like “Cruel Summer” and “Death by a Thousand Cuts” that Taylor did everything she could to keep her and Karlie together, but at the end of the day their love wasn’t able to overcome the scrutiny of the media. Hence the unexplained “I tried” daisy pin. SHE FUCKING TRIED YALL. To me it seems like Karlie didn’t want to come out. Maybe she was legitimately with Josh at the time and there were secrets layered on secrets and it all just imploded. Or maybe her contract with him didn’t allow her to come out. Who knows. All I’m saying is that people need to remove their heads from the sand and come to terms with the fact that kaylor is no more. Like really you’re kidding yourself if you think they’re still together after all these break up songs Taylor has written about them. Lover is about two people. Her old lover, and her new one. Deal with it. If you really want to support Taylor and her queerness, stop attaching it to Karlie. Taylor has given us PLENTY of hints that she’s bi. She’s trying to tell us that she loved a woman and now she loves a man. If you can’t accept that then A. You’re not a real Taylor Swift fan, B. You’re being biphobic, and C. You’re more concerned with her being with a specific woman who broke her heart then with her being a queer woman in general. No wonder she called out ship culture in the vogue article.
