Summary:

James Potter loved Lily Evans from the moment he knew what it truly was to love anybody. But, in the end, it didn’t matter that James had declared that he would never love anyone else but Lily. Because he still lost her.

One year on from Halloween 1981, James is struggling to raise Harry alone whilst drowning in an impenetrable dark sea of grief, determined to never love again. Because, in his experience, to love, is to lose.

Luckily, Regulus Black knows quite a lot about loving and losing. And drowning, too, considering the fact that he survived the cave in 1979 and faked his death for two years, popping in to give Sirius the fright of his life on Halloween.

And, consequently, showing up just in time for the events that followed. The shattered remnants of people that the war left behind.

Maybe Regulus will be able to show James that it’s okay to extinguish the first love flame, whilst simultaneously giving him the parenting help he is too ashamed to ask for. And, in return, maybe James will manage to convince Regulus that love isn’t something you earn, something that always has a catch.

Maybe they just needed one another all along, to take that step into the daylight.

Taylor and Karlie broke up.

After listening to “Lover” and cross referencing it with “DWOHT” and the eye witness account of a trusted friend who saw Taylor and Joe kiss in person with no paps around, I have concluded that there is no possible way that kaylor is still together. Taylor is with Joe now and she seems to be happy with him. It’s clear when you listen to songs like “Cruel Summer” and “Death by a Thousand Cuts” that Taylor did everything she could to keep her and Karlie together, but at the end of the day their love wasn’t able to overcome the scrutiny of the media. Hence the unexplained “I tried” daisy pin. SHE FUCKING TRIED YALL. To me it seems like Karlie didn’t want to come out. Maybe she was legitimately with Josh at the time and there were secrets layered on secrets and it all just imploded. Or maybe her contract with him didn’t allow her to come out. Who knows. All I’m saying is that people need to remove their heads from the sand and come to terms with the fact that kaylor is no more. Like really you’re kidding yourself if you think they’re still together after all these break up songs Taylor has written about them. Lover is about two people. Her old lover, and her new one. Deal with it. If you really want to support Taylor and her queerness, stop attaching it to Karlie. Taylor has given us PLENTY of hints that she’s bi. She’s trying to tell us that she loved a woman and now she loves a man. If you can’t accept that then A. You’re not a real Taylor Swift fan, B. You’re being biphobic, and C. You’re more concerned with her being with a specific woman who broke her heart then with her being a queer woman in general. No wonder she called out ship culture in the vogue article. How much more clear can she be? Kaylor is dead. Bi-Ler Swift RISE!

5 years ago 1989 came out and saved my life. This picture here is me in my wine stained dress (“you’re still all over me like a wine stained dress I can’t wear anymore” - clean) two months sober of the worst addiction I’ve ever had: a relationship filled with abuse. If it wasn’t for 1989, who knows what could’ve happened to me. I’d most likely be dead and if it wasn’t from him it was going to be from me. I found so much hope and happiness in 1989. It’s what changed my life for the better, single handily, and I can’t ever thank @taylorswift and @taylornation enough for accepting me into the wild world of Swifties and giving me the amazing opportunities I’ve had along my Taylor journey. If you or somehow you know is a victim of domestic abuse, please know that there is hope. There is a light. And sometimes it just takes a while to see it.
