Sorry to be like that but I’m noticing the parallels between Billystorm and Sandstorm’s deaths. They’re both the leader’s mate and died a tragic completely avoidable death far away from their families and are buried in a random unmarked grave where no one will be able to visit them. And how Billystorm is treated with significantly more respect than Sandstorm was.

#billys fine but. biting through the drywall rn #he gets to die an actual dignified death that drives the emotional stakes high for the cats #its noted that hes very important to the clan bc he was the leaders mate and ‘’all his family will miss him’’ and they hammer it home #hawkwing even says ‘’how can leafstar go on when her mate is in an unmarked grave she may never find #and yet!!! who gives a fuck about sandstorm amiright #shes only the cat who united skyclan and was firestars mate and was an extremely important character #but nah we only care abt stupid alderpaw feeling mildly guilty and everyone moving on in less than a chapter #one singular mention of squilf being upset and then pushing forwards #alderpaw even passes by her grave iirc and is like ‘’oh shit oops!’’#why is billystorm this less important character to the whole series getting a more respectful death than her #wait ik why lol #we dont even see leaf and squilfs reaction to sandstorm being dead #hwj liveread
