i love that binx and andhera’s declarations of love are never a clear cut “i love you”. it was andhera being the actual winner in the hedge maze, but giving the crystal heart to binx, it was andhera pledging themself to binx’s cause, it was binx offering to remove the shard from his neck, it was the two of them turning to each other and confiding in each other when things got rough, it was “you make an excellent frog”, it was andhera asking binx to show off their craftsmanship and make him a suit, it was binx finding solace in andhera’s presence at the masquerade, it was them sharing the apple imbued with the memories of the court of craft, it was andhera admitting that binx has made him happier than he’s ever been, it was the both of them extending the homes and hearts to each other, it was “no one will ever hurt you” and its echo, it was “he’s not yours to control anymore”, it was binx pointing a crossbow at suntar’s back and vowing that she would use it should andhera give her the go ahead, it was “you are welcome in my home, always.” it was “for the rest of our existence, any time you are scared I will reassure you”, it was “we have so much to experience together.”

and i think that’s really beautiful.

a lil 'binxhera is SO important to me' manifesto so i can think about anything else today:

first of all people often have misconceptions about asexuality and whether ace people can be in relationships, and to see andhera and binx so thoroughly romance each other, to promise each other a home, to kiss, all while andhera is canonically and openly ace meant so much!!

is there anything more poignant than being what a paladin devotes themself to???

it's finding comfort and stability in each other but still staying with their original courts, sharing their domains

it's the eternal promise of a home and affection and devotion from someone who lost all of that to someone who never had it

it's the eternal promise of a friend at your back and a protector in the dark from someone who never had that either

it's the regency hand touch and darcy flex

it's knowing andhera in the dark from the scent of storms alone, it's recognising binx immediately from her eyes

it's binx's only request when andhera joined their court was to remove the shard/help them to be free

it's two people who showed up to the bloom alone finding their friends, their courts, an eternal companion

it's kneeling to each other, a gentle kiss in the rain, walking hand in ungloved hand into the mortal realm to explore their new world together

what i'm really saying is give it up for surena and omar bc i will be verklempt about these two for a WHILE

a little tragic that hob's rship w andhera ended up more avuncular than anything else bc let me tell you. "had him at swordpoint and declined to finish him" as a first meeting... i wouldve BEEN there you all wouldve HEARD from me on the matter. obviously it ended up being very sweet in canon and i do think binxhera are lovely but ach the potential
