important: in one of the httyd comics, some characters get winter clothes/accessories and it's so cute

hiccup's vest suddenly has a hood

and the dragons get some clothes too!! i'm obsessed with toothless' ear muffs. even more important:

meatlug has a balaclava!!! i love her and fishlegs so much. and the twins are hating as usual.

also at one point, the dragons all form a pile outside. they're cuddling and keeping each other warm!!

tldr i love that for once, the characters get to wear warm clothing and it's a shame that we didn't see any of it in the movies

on another note, can we talk about new berk and its accessibility?

this island is only accessible by dragons. which makes kind of sense initially? berk is fleeing from grimmel and searching for the hidden world, so they make camp in a place inaccessible to grimmel and his sea-faring armada. however, grimmel is later revealed to have an airship and he has the deathgrippers. so he'd have a way to go there anyway.

no matter what, they decide to make camp on this island extending all the way into the clouds and eventually stay there and make it into new berk. the only thing is that hiccup decides to part ways with all the dragons at the end of the movie. which means without dragons they successfully got themselves stuck on top of this gigantic rock plateau.

and by the epilogue, they found a way to access the sea but i don't think it was a fun endeavor to build a port over there.
