Happy 810nicle Day!

This currently-nameless goober is a character from a TfTV story idea I've had for ages, and will hopefully write someday (when I eventually get back to that 💀).

He's a cyborg Skakdi engineer with no element, because he was recruited by the Order of Mata Nui & left Zakaz prior to Makuta Spiriah's experiments. I imagine the cybernetics are his way of trying to keep pace with his powered peers, while also serving as an outward expression of his role/skills as an engineer.

His custom Skakdi face piece was modeled by Galva.

I just learned Yesterday that 8/10 is BIONICLE Day, so instead of “Metroidvania Monday” this week I’ll make it “Mata Nui Monday” and you can join me as I nostalgically rave throughout the old Mata Nui Online Game, a point-and-click Flash game that used to be on the BIONICLE section of the LEGO website!

My Bionicle special interest lies dormant within me like a sleeper agent, only waking up when someone reminds me Bionicle exists.

Then it just runs rampant and controls my life for the next several days, before going to sleep again, waiting to strike once more.

Toa Intabu the first Toa of Stone (she/her) (Mask of Erosion) She was once the most steadfast and dependable of the ancient Toa, but after the day that resulted in the toa code being enacted, she left in shame of what her siblings had done. The Hand of Artakha searched far and wide for her but she was never found, Helryx believes that she might have left the universe on one of the worlds that Mata-Nui visited to find a life of peace alone were she would not have to been reminded of what Helryx made them all do.

Happy 810 Day everyone! To celebrate, here's a moc of Toa Takanuva as a metru build, to go along with the Toa Phantoka & Mistika metru builds I posted in Metru March. Like those other mocs, this is meant to be an interpretation of what Takanuva could look like in present day on Spherus Magna, based on his latest set appearence in 2010 with influence from his 2003 version as well, and includes additional photos of his camouflaged form from 2010.
