BIRDTOBER is a month-long event of creativity, good times and a show of love at just how awesome birds are.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Birdtober starts October 1st! Check the daily “Prompt” for inspiration, but a different bird is good too.
Draw your bird for the day! There are no restrictions for media.

Birdtober day 2: Bee-eater (blue-cheeked)
Most species of Bee-eaters are found in Africa and Asia, with a few in southern Europe, Australia, and New Guinea. They are characterised by richly coloured plumage and long tail feathers, both for male and female.
As their name suggests, bee-eaters predominantly eat flying insects, especially bees and wasps. Most bee-eaters are monogamous and gregarious, and live in colonies; both parents care for the young, sometimes with assistance from a neighbour while they hunt.

Day 31 I was going to draw a blackbird but I wasn't feeling it today, so instead have a raven instead as my last drawing for october challenge. I feel like I might learn somwthing, pushing myself to do all 31 days. I'm a bit sad that it's already over but I'm also tired. Can't wait for next year challenge tho, maybe I'll follow one prompt list instead of 10 different next time. #octoberart2020 #birdtober2020 #birdrawing #inkart #raven #crow #jackdaw #birdart #birdtober #animalart #wildlifeart #birdlovers #birdwatching #natureart #birdillustration #artwork https://www.instagram.com/p/CHCDkx7hBN0/?igshid=1cikazpgxnyve

BIRDTOBER DAY 4: CHICKEN (silkie)
The silkie is a fluffy idiot chicken, with feathers that feel like silk. The breed has several other unique characteristics- black skin and bones, blue earlobes and five toes on each foot.
They are excellent layers and often broody, and their sweet nature makes them excellent pets for children.
