The quaint place has a rustic charm that will surprise you since the eatery does not look like one from the outside. But inside is a whole different story, with bright artwork adorning plain walls. The color theme used to highlight every feature of the eatery is very pleasing to the eye. Often, you will find the place crowded with youngsters, laughing and joking with one another lending a cheerful aura to Bistro 1. A couple of games like Scrabble and Uno are provided to the customers as they wait in anticipation for their order. Most people come in for a cup of coffee, but can’t help trying out the various goodies listed on their menu. The charming staff simply enhance your delightful experience. Herb & Oliva Focaccia with Cheese is one of their most recommended. Another Recommended dish is Mushroom Burger. It had a mushroom & oats patty and was quite filling. Pretty decent. Overall, it’s a nice place to come on a lazy afternoon and chill with friends with good fare. .

This is new on the menu. Make sure you try it, coz you're gonna get a foodgasm!!! BURGER INTRODUCTION👇 This a juicy-lucy-ish burger with the classic party stuffed with cheese. Topped with fried egg and bacon 🍳🥓. The aroma of this burger had our mouths watering!!! ALL ABOUT THE BUN👇 Nice soft ad buttered bun, lightly toasted and so picture perfect 😍 FRESH FROM THE FARM👇 Lettuce, tomatoes and caramelised onions. The onions added to the flavour of the burger. PATTY👇 Chicken patty stuffed with Cheddar Cheese 🧀 and so juicy! It was so perfect, they should make it a dish in itself FLAVOURS👇 The burger overall had a nice roasty flavour. Other than the cheddar in the patty, there was an extra cheese layer as well. The patty, onions and cheese with the bacon were the highlight of this beast. . The bacon was so crispy even if the patty was juicy. Chef Sanket really nailed this burger. The burger came with a portion of crispy fries 🍟 and a Sriracha-mayo dip that complemented the entire dish! Bistro 1

A place that was close by, but never visited. My daughter had been wanting to try it out and a couple of people on Twitter also recommended. So, one fine Sunday afternoon we decided to try it out. It is in the lane at shastrinagar and you can pass by it if you’re not looking for the board.

A small tiny place, which 4 tables inside and 3 outside with a small kitchen.

We settled down and ordered…

Lunch discovery - Day 15(Bistro 1)

And here's a photo to prove it.

Today it was ted's turn to lead us somewhere for lunch and he took us to Soho. While window shopping for a place to have lunch we came across this nice little green canopied restaurant in the corner of a street. But what attracted us to it was it's beautiful chandeliers.

It was a Mediterranean restaurant with a sort if Moroccan influence I believe.  These lamps and the orange walls with dark brown painted  furniture added such a unique feature to this restaurant. I couldn't get enough of these bright lamps/chandeliers so here are a few more pics to illustrate my point.

 They also seemed to be holding an exhibition by an artist in the restaurant.Maybe the next time I go there I will inquire a bit more about the artist. The painting were a comic representation of country life.

This place was filled with small little charming curiosities like...

As soon as we were seated They brought out a basket of bread and a pot of marinated black olives. Seeing this Ted was reminded of his home country Greece where this gesture is quite common and he had mentioned it many a times in the past that he missed it here. So it was a lovely touch for him and a very opportune one for me since I was starving.

Apart from the bright and colourful chandeliers what had brought was through the doors of this unique place was it's lunch time deal which included some nice and healthy sounding dishes for both starters and main course for just £8.50.

I ordered for a Bistor Mixed Mezze which was awesome and was like water to a thirsty one for my poor little starving stomach. Hummus, Sour cream, cous cous, salad, falafel and dolma daaki(vine leaves wrapped rice).

Ted had ordered for a deep-fried spicy chicken as starters which he said he really liked.

It looked like it was quite a lot on the plate but it us up with enough to await the main course dish with relish. Soon after the starters were consumed the main course arrived. I had ordered for a Mediterranean style vegetarian Moussaka.

It came with butter rice and I was at first concerned that it would be a too much but before long I had lapped up the whole thing, it was that delicious.

Ted ordered for a Penne Chicken Arrabiata. And it did look yum as it arrived.

We had ample time to enjoy the food and finish it before the time was up. This place was a rare find. The service was fast and friendly, the decor was unique, The location superb, in the middle of Soho and a the price tag a mere £8.50 for 2 courses. Not a bad deal at all I'd say. I'll return here for sure and Ted promised to bring his girlfriend here too.
