People ask #writers about their #favoriteauthor or #favoritebook all the time. The question still catches me off guard sometimes. If I can think quick enough I'll say my favorite #poet is me and wiggle my way out 😎 #neway my older son and I just finished up a 90 min convo about #allthethings and one of the topics was #nihilism which led to #blacknihilism and this book #nativeson by #richardwright I first read it about 18 years ago in college and he's just finished reading it for high school. Besides books like #thebible and #thechroniclesofnarnia I'd say this is on the list of books that left a lasting impression on me. An #instagram post couldn't do it full justice. I def think it should be required reading esp in this country if not others.
