🧶 - Do they do any arts, crafts, or creative hobbies?

Jack: for Jack I would say his hobby is photography! It probably started in the Vault one day when he found an old camera, I don't think he thought much of it at that time but he'd slowly come to love it. I don't think he'd like photographing people though, he finds it a bit awkward. I think he'd love to photograph the landscape around him, any view he finds interesting he'll instantly get his camera out to capture it. Also, any plants he comes across are getting captured! doesn't matter where! he'll lay flat on his stomach to always get as close as he can for a good picture. (totally not projecting here lmao)

He probably has stacks of photo albums in his home/bag just full of these photos.

Eliza: I can easily see Eliza being into drawing, primarily sketching. See something interesting in the wasteland? lemme just make a quick sketch of that and move on! or if she finds a piece of interesting tech she's drawing a full technical diagram of that thing. She probably just started it one day in class, and just kept on drawing the things around her. I think she'll be perfectly able to draw a robot accurately, but if you asked her to draw a human you'll get a stick figure.

Stephen: for Stephen I think he'd more musically inclined compared to the other two. I can see him really enjoying playing the Piano or Keyboard! He probably picked up this hobby post-war, It's a hobby he probably always wanted to get into but couldn't afford at the time. But now he doesn't have to pay? he's totally stealing a Piano from a ruin and dragging it back home so he can learn. I think he'd enjoy being able to express himself musically, being one of the few thing's that can relax him. He just switches everything else out and focuses on the song. (again totally not projecting here lol)

🐰 - How huggable is this oc?

Jack: Very huggable, please hug him. He loves hugs! but none of his friends do! He's perfectly built for them as well! Strong Arms ✔️ 2 Big Pillows on his chest ✔️ a soft tummy? ✔️ prime hugging body! I think he'd give bear hugs too, or if you haven't see him for a while he's picking you up and spinning you around.

Eliza: Contrasting Jack, do not hug her. She hate's them, she only tolerates Jack's hugs because he's her brother. If you hug her she'll immediately tense up and make a foul face over your shoulder. She wouldn't turn them down because she doesn't want to be too rude, but she won't enjoy the experience either. If she is the one giving hugs, be prepared for the most awkward half-hug of your life. It's so stiff, and she won't fully embrace into it, she'll keep a respectable distance from you with one arm behind you.

Stephen: I'd say Stephen is huggable, but only from people he knows and likes. He doesn't like that kind of physical contact with strangers, it makes him very uncomfortable. I don't think he's afraid to put up that boundary either. On the other hand, if you know him then he loves to give and receive hugs! he'll always ask first though if you would like one. I think Stephen's hugs would be very soft, barely any pressure applied but still nice and comforting.

📓 - Do you associate any quotes or lyrics with this oc?

Eliza: I think the quote that I associate with Eliza the most is from Integra from the Hellsing anime (prime inspiration back in the day) the quote is: "You want me to roll over like a dog? Give up, and accept defeat.. Ha! That seems to be the sort of language that your kind is used to using. Language for cowards who forfeited their humanity, because they were too weak to survive as such. Don’t look down on humans, you monsters. Come on. I’ll send you all to hell." that quote does a good job of summing her early character really, she's changed a lot since then but I'll still always think of her when I hear this.

Jack: for Jack the lyric I'd associate with him is: "I'm a peace-loving decoy, ready for retaliation" from Dirty Harry by Gorillaz, again I feel like that does a good job of summing up his character! Jack prefers to talk out his problems with other people rather than get violent, but don't mistake that for him being unable to do so. (that's how I interpret that lyric anyway)

Stephen: the lyric I'd associate with him is: "Welcome to my world (My only world) It is full of Space Junk But your words are getting through I'm riding on the Space Junk and It's bringing me to you Bringing me to you" from Space Junk by Wang Chung, just captures his feelings up waking up in this now destroyed world, but also seeing the beauty and value in this destroyed world.

exerpt from what i've affectionately named "POST-MISSION FIC FOR REALSIES", from the joint au with @bury-me-standing - fic includes his oc Sweetjane, along with my ocs Reed & Mercy. It's not very fun in my opinion(maybe I've been staring at this for too long) but it bridges a few fics together and includes a semi-important conversation that needs to be had so things can be moved forward.

“Have you ever been up to Sanctuary? That Minutemen settlement North of Concord?” “I stopped there once ‘fore the Minutemen moved in. There’s a vault up on top o’dat hill that I checked out, too.” Fuck it, Reed thinks. She's not going to believe him anyways, so he might as well just tell her. “Y’know, that vault’s how I ended up here.” Sweetjane’s eyes narrow at that. He figures she must've seen the cryo pods and terminal entries there. "I'm not lying this time, I swear. You can ask Mercy if you really don't believe me."

Delta(FO3/FO4) - chaotic good A chaotic good character acts as their conscience directs them with little regard for what others expect of them. They make his own way, but they're kind and benevolent. They believe in goodness and right but have little use for laws and regulations. They hate it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. They follow their own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. Chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment when it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.

Reed(FO4) - true neutral A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil-after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run.

Mercy(FNV/FO4) - chaotic neutral A chaotic neutral character follows her whims. She is an individualist first and last. She values her own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. She avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, she would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from herself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but her behavior is not totally random. She is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. “Look, I’m not some sort of connoisseur, okay? Trust me, we weren’t getting anything fancy on the front lines. But this? This is honest-to-God dirt water. I don’t understand how you guys drink this shit. You guys are sitting on all this advanced tech and research but couldn’t figure out how to make instant coffee that doesn’t taste like dirt? If it didn’t cost a fuckin’ fortune, I’d get you some actual coffee grounds just so you could see how bad this is.”

7: favorite companions? least favorite companions?

Her top favorites are Raul, Veronica, & ED-E. She likes Arcade & Lily but doesn’t really travel with them much. Arcade especially - there's a bit of mutual suspicion and tension about their pasts and some of the things they apparently know. She refuses to take Rex after he becomes available as a companion option. Her least favorite companion is Boone.

12: how did the bullet affect them?

The main issues she has are some short term memory loss, migraines, and minor behavior changes- she’s more impulsive and aggressive. These are overall temporary though, she’s mostly recovered by the time she decides to head East.

32: what are their favorite weapons? where did they get these weapons?

She primarily uses a lever-action shotgun that she picked up at some point. She also has a revolver as a sidearm, she initially uses some random one picked off a body for the first half of the game but she swaps it out for her original revolver after finding it in Benny’s suite. She really likes Maria but doesn’t like that it’s basically a peashooter, so that’s kept as a sort of trophy and doesn’t really get used outside of being a holdout weapon. She also has a small assortment of knives that she’s either found or picked off bodies over time.

42: name a random fact about your courier.

Mercy’s hayburner Karma is accessible in Goodsprings for the entire game's storyline. She obviously took off when the whole getting caught by Benny thing went down and wandered into Goodsprings on her own afterwards, and Mercy opted to leave her in someone else's care during the main storyline.

49: did they kill caesar? vulpes inculta? what about prominent ncr figures, like kimball and colonel hsu? 

Mercy does kill Caesar, Vulpes Inculta, & Legate Lanius. I don’t think she really goes out of her way to kill other named Legion characters, beyond what’s necessary, just considering most of them didn’t join willingly and they’re just people trying to survive. Kind of the same mentality with the NCR- she does kill Kimball & Oliver, but she doesn’t really kill many others just because they’re not the ones making major decisions and they’re also just people that need a way to get by. She hates both factions as a whole but isn’t going to take it out on random lower ranked members just because of the affiliation.

2: Who gets up to cook at 2am?

Mercy. I think she's probably worse about things like this while they're in Diremall just because she does tend to be more active & frequently travels at night, so it's a much more recent habit here than it is when they're reunited in the Commonwealth.

5: Who is the cheesier one of the two?

Probably Sweetjane, but Mercy can have her moments once she opens up more too.

13: Stay home/go-out? What are their date nights like?

It'd be a pretty even mix between the two - they're a bit more likely to go out while in Diremall, but more likely to stay in when they're actually together.

22: Love languages? How do they get around differences, if any?

Overall I’d say they’re pretty compatible- Mercy’s is primarily quality time but she’s used to being with someone who’s main one is gift giving, so she’d be completely fine with Sweetjane there. I don’t think they’d really run into any issues with this, they’re both capable of communicating and being open with each other here.

29: First date? (Give as much or little detail)

Just a loose idea I've been playing with- their first "date" is in Diremall after they've met a few times, Mercy finds Sweetjane and asks for her help to collect some local herbs & plants that she needs for various things. It's not really a date per say, but Mercy would probably count it as one because they're doing activities together and that's basically the same thing, isn't it? Of course, their "date" gets somewhat interrupted just because the area surrounding Diremall is kind of a mess with factions and constant turf wars, but it's fine because they have fun and it gets them out of the settlement for a bit.

I'm going to say Reed's probably the worst out of the two, but they can both be pretty silly in their own ways.

8: Who is a morning person? Who is a night owl?

I don't think either of them are explicitly a morning or night person, but I think out of the two Reed's the one that's typically up and doing things earlier in the mornings, while Sweetjane's more likely to be active later in the day.

15: Who's the first to cry during movies that don't seem sad?

not even gonna lie, I think it’d probably be Reed? Like if something random just hit really close to home and he’s already pretty close to his breaking point, then that’d probably do it for him. At the very least he’d find some sort of excuse to leave for a few so he can get his shit together.
