Kido Corps

Central 46 has the Onmitsukidō, Kido Corps and Gotei 13 under it's command to enforce their rulings but it seems like they all used to their own organizations.

We know Genryusai founded the Gotei 13 a thousand years ago.

The Shihoins have served as the Supreme Comander for generations. I think they probably founded it as well.

Then there is the Kido Corps who is the most secretive.

I feel like Kirinji has some ties with them see he is the creator of Kaido which is healing kido.

With Kido being the Shinigami magic system and the reveal of Wing Bind and Soul Society West Branch who mainly rely on magic and the anime expanding the story along with the Hell Arc I hope we get more info on the Kido Corps.

support casters being support casters.... i'm talking ab the undersea temple battle against vetto... finral and vanessa work seamlessly in tandem to keep asta from being murdered. vanessa pulling him out of the way of close calls, while finral both moves asta from place to place and uses vetto's mana sensing abilities to distract and misdirect him. truly the support casters.

someone (not me) should really consider writing a grimmichi sports fic. and I don’t even necessarily mean a full-on, serious au where they go through the trials and tribulations of high school baseball or something. I was thinking more like a crack fic where someone within soul society has the brilliant idea to have the shinigami, visoreds, and remaining arrancar bond via a series of friendly games.

the key point is that ichigo switches between the teams constantly because he’s, y’know, the weirdest hybrid to ever exist and more practically a good analogue for peace between the three worlds.

they do the works. baseball, volleyball, basketball, soccer/football. someone jokingly suggests fencing and ichigo nearly gets a foil through his eye because grimmjow is, of course, still trying to murder him whenever they’re matched up against each other (and also usually even when they’re on the same team). nel originally wants to be a cheerleader but then she tags in for someone and realizes she is actually very competitive when the stakes aren’t life and death. rukia nails grimmjow in the face with every ball she gets her hands on (as payback for the whole skewering incident when they first met). the eleventh division is hilariously bad at any sort of team play (kenpachi has to be banned entirely). harribel is long-suffering but turns out to be nearly as competitive as nel.

(look, something about being perfectly in sync when they’re playing together just really gets to them, okay? grimmjow realizes he can enjoy himself and prove he’s better than everyone else without eviscerating anyone, ichigo likes how grimmjow looks in the soccer shorts, it’s a whole thing)

How did Kisuke know everything about everyone to solve every problem but somehow only knows the vaguest of info about the right hand of the soul king?

I'm not saying he should know about Jushiro's condition but he should have at least known a wikipidia level of info.

Nah because something that is abundantly clear about Soul Society is that nobody in the Seireitei has the slightest bit of actual knowledge of Rukongai. And Kisuke isn't an exception.

Like, Soul Society is an incredible stratified place. All of the most powerful and important people are in the Seireitei. And even the powerful folks from outside are eventually brought in, because the temptation of power/a better life is much too high to resist. And so the Soul Reapers don't care too much about what goes on beyond their walls! Sure, they might need to kill a particularly nasty hollow now and again, or mass-murder the inhabitants to maintain the balance of souls in an emergency, but otherwise? Who cares!

Ichigo and co. jumped from the world of the living to Soul Society, but the Court Guards literally did not care so long as they were not in the Seireitei. Aizen was conducting crazy hollow research for years out there, and Kisuke hadn't the slightest inkling, because why would he? He's a retainer of the Shihouin clan! Their eyes are on their peers around them and the god above them, not the outside world that they consider beneath them.
