thinking about the YGO au again and while I’m partial to the OG series because of the whole “possessed by ancient spirit” aspect of Yugi’s character I am delighted by the idea of Ichigo and Grimmjow facing off on duel runners. Underground racing, too, no fancy tracks for them to zip around, auto pilot disabled for maximum danger levels.

Some version of the shadow realm still exists though because I need Shiro to just start chucking people in there when they threaten his King.

Ichigo has some sort of artifact he inherited from his mother that contains Shiro and Ossan’s spirits and they take turns swapping out with Ichigo when things get a little too dire for their liking.

Aizen’s the Big Bad, of course, and recruits Grimmjow (along with the other Espada) with the promise of making him the most powerful duelist in the world (some unethical experiments to make him closer to the spirit realm later and he’s fucked up in the head a little but good to go)

But! Grimmjow loses to Ichigo in the quarter finals of the New Karakura tournament and subsequently gets stripped of his title as one of Aizen’s favored duelists. So he sets out to beat the shit out of Ichigo in the underground racing league the dumbass never learned to stay away from.

And they save the world together eventually 🧡🩵

Monday Posts

So in my blog's bio, I mentioned how I have other non-Bleach specific interests, like cooking/baking and playing video games that I may want to talk about occasionally. However, I wasn't sure how to incorporate that into my "mostly Bleach" blog. Sure I could cook something Bleach related or I could talk about which pokemon teams I think each character would have (and I probably will!), but I didn't want to be tied down to only that. (Plus, I'm not actually good at cooking, I just think it's fun).

But then, having been a part of the Bleach Tumblr community for a couple of weeks now, I noticed something. New episodes of Bleach come out on Mondays. Most of the fans want to avoid spoilers. But most fans are also too busy to watch the episode first thing in the morning. So, therefore, on Mondays, most fans avoid this site like their life depends on it for the whole day (I know, I usually do!). So, in other words, it's the perfect time to post non-Bleach content!

So yeah, you may see that from time to time. Can't guarantee every week, y'all don't need to know about how I had nuggets for dinner again, or something. I may also just reblog cool cooking/video game things as well.

Also, if I'm talking specifically about the new pokemon games (which I'm loving so far!), I'll mark it as "pokemon sv spoilers".

These posts will also be tagged with "Bleach-free Monday", so that way people can avoid them if they don't care about them.

For this week's post, I'll make it a cooking/pokemon combo and talk about the time I tried to recreate a dish from a pokemon game!

So have y'all heard of pokemon café remix? It's this cute little mobile game where you try to connect the pokemon faces in a line to clear obstacles and create dishes in a café. And all the dishes looked really good! So I tried to recreate one of them, the Yummy Yamper Pasta.

However, it required two things that I had never cooked before, a bolognese and a dinner roll, i.e. THE ENTIRE MEAL (minus the salad). 

So I looked it up online, and found this helpful YouTube video that taught me how to make "yamper-shaped dinner rolls". But the video said nothing about how to make a bolognese. So I followed an America's Test Kitchen video on it, and here's the result:

Lookswise, I think it came out okay-ish. I actually waited till the next day and used food straight from the fridge to get better photos. The pasta came out fine taste-wise, and the rolls well… I cooked them for waaay too long.😅 I kept waiting for them to turn golden brown, and they just never did. So I kept on waiting and waiting until about twice the time had passed, and then I decided I had better take them out. They were edible with butter and microwaved, but that was it. Oh well…

I still had a fun time with it, and will try my hand with it again later! 👍
