Every day I try to live my best life and have an adventure of some sort; yesterday down Cardiff Bay with @bluebirdccfc94 and our awesome carers was certainly an excellent adventure! But if course, every adventure comes with risk... but for me, every single aspect of my life has a much higher than average risk of death. Therefore, whilst riding on the carousel 🎠 may not seem like much of a risky endeavour for most, it was for me (a seizure or spasm on a carousel? Not Good!). If my mum had known, she’d have been tearing her hair out 😂 but also feeling very proud, I imagine, too. So many people ask her and dad how they can cope with me going out into the world knowing the risks my health poses; my mum points our that they’ve spent 24 years raising me to do just that! To be strong and independent and brave, and to have a happy, fulfilling life that’s brimming with adventures! Because I am a very poorly post procedure Amy, I’m not allowed to sleep on my own/unsupervised. So, last night I had a sleepover with mammy (not that we got much sleep; we didn’t get home from A&E til 1am, and I was up repeatedly with pain/spasms/trauma)... but tonight it’s daddy’s turn! So me and Stevie B are cwtched up in my bed! We’ve had a Baileys Hot Chocolate (or two...) watched Dr Strange and Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and now we’re tryna sleep... at least, I am! My very capable on call night nurse is snoring away 😴 next to me, and entertaining me with brief stints of sleep talking about sweet potato bananas 🍌🙈😂! He may be the nurse tonight, but I think you guys need to wish me luck 😜😂! Seriously though, I am incredibly grateful to have such amazing parents who go above any beyond for me, always.
