The Characters of Crossed Paws

WOODCLAN

Territory: a small, overgrown area of a large coniferous forest

Prey: Cuckoos, woodpeckers, goldcrests, kingfishers, firecrests, greenfinches, green lizards, dormice, red squirrels

Dangers: Goshawks, ospreys, buzzards, red kites, long-eared owls, tawny owls, adders, badgers, bats, stoats, pine martens, foxes

Camp location: hidden in a ditch in a large, particularly overgrown forest grove

Current High Saint and Herald: Tumblestar and Brightfoot

Formerly known as the Clan of Rustling Trees, WoodClan was once celebrated for its warm hospitality and deep sense of pride. In their early days, they were renowned for their openness, forging strong bonds both within their ranks and with neighboring Clans. Their territory, characterized by the soft whispers of ancient trees, symbolized peace and shared history, where stories of ancestors were told with reverence, and newcomers were welcomed with genuine warmth. However, a series of betrayals, territorial disputes, and devastating losses gradually eroded this open-hearted nature, leaving deep scars on the Clan’s collective psyche.

Now known as WoodClan, they have become markedly more isolated, shunning the close connections they once valued in favor of self-reliance. Their pride has shifted inward, focusing on survival rather than alliances. This change in mentality has led to a state of hypervigilance, with constant suspicion of outsiders and a heightened alertness that permeates every aspect of their lives. The once vibrant spirit of the Clan has dimmed under the weight of caution, yet their isolation has fostered fierce independence, honing their skills to a razor’s edge. Despite the challenges, the memory of the Clan of Rustling Trees lingers, a reminder of what they once were and perhaps what they might strive to reclaim.

Puffer: He’s....Still Puffer. Somehow He’s Gone Half-Blind In His Right Eye, But Not His Left Which Has ALWAYS Had A Bruise On It. Says He Got His Scar Over His Eye From “A Life Threatening Smackdown With An Autobot!” But It Was Probably Just A Rock. 

Then Finally, Blitzspark! She Now Has Taken On An Occupation Of Singer! Like Her Singing Or Not, Her Energy Is Admirable! Alongside Singing, She Enjoys Using Her Electricity Powers To Add On To Her Shows For Visuals!(Reblogs Appreciated!)

OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY lemme talk about Phob and her amazing OC! First, the fact that Kael is a FFVIII OC brings me such happiness because 8 is one of my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time. As far as the muse himself, I haven’t had the honor of writing with Phob yet but Kael is such a fleshed out OC and it honestly makes me so happy in how much time she’s put into him. Phob is a sweetheart and my fellow Salt Squad member, and it’s been fantastic talking with them! I definitely recommend anyone who’s on the lookout for good OCs to go follow them.

      HER VOICE IS STERN, SHARP as she orders him to stay put. eyes widen,    tiers agape as rouge paints across cheeks. lashes flutter as lithe digits wipe    beside pallid tiers, gaze meeting hers as a nervous bout of laughter passes    betwixt flanges. WHY IS IT that the touch of her hand makes his heart flutter,    makes him so nervous ? he wonders, how does she notice such a little thing,    && maybe the thought of her gaze lingering on him was a stretch, but it made    him smile regardless.
