So here, we want to give a shout out to several black creators in our community who make beautiful labels and flags in celebration of this month!

This post is not about me, even though I'm the one making it, the only interaction I care about is the attention given to the users I have listed. I am a simple white boy from Detroit. I do not want you to listen to my voice, I want you to follow my finger as I point to the voices you should be listening to. Along with that, you may notice not many users are listed. I have noticed as well, and I feel that says something about this community. Something that leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I am not blind, I have seen how our community treats POC and it is honestly pretty damn abhorrent. Many users speak over POC voices or simply don't take it seriously. Rather than actively being anti-racist, a lot of people just put shit like "racists DNI" in their rentry's or carrd or anything and call it good. There is no active fight against racism here, simply a passive acceptance whenever it rears its head. If you reblog this post, if you interact with this or me in anyway, I want you to take the time to follow any of the coiners I've listed. POC deserve a space here too. You need to be more than just not racist, you need to be actively anti-racist. If you're a black MOGAI creator of any kind, please promo yourselves in the replies. ✚⠀ Flag is meant to represent the resistance that black queers have in the LGBT space as well as society as a whole . Since white queers love giving unnecessary rules on being gay / trans this flag is pretty much a middle finger to that

✚⠀ Small rant ahead : I've always hated the idea that there are rules to be trans or gay , the concept of queerness and gender isn't something you can just control or keep in boxes , it's annoying to deal with it all the time . Idc if I'm not "valid" in your eyes , I'm trying to live

✚⠀ Btw the symbol in the middle is Anansi's web , an african symbol . Anansi is a spider god from african folklore and was also used as a symbol of resistance

Thank you so much! How do you go about deleting backgrounds? Do you have an app? And how do you actually create flags? I wanna create my own if someone else can't do and I don't wanna bother peeps >_<

Im glad to be of some help ! I dont think you'd be bothering anyone considering thats what most mogai blogs are for ! (^ ^ ) but its good 02 know how to do things on your own。

I do go over flag making but my biggest past inspo's who also contributed to me wanting to start my own coining blog are @scytheral , @laughdiamond & i do believe @puriette aswell

And just people that make really nice flag designs i enjoy @winecovered , @doll-mine , @gengernoway , @lunentity , @phantasverie just off the top of my little head ( i just really like their flags oughthfth )

You can use those guys & any1 you want for reference ，but just do you ，ya know ?

I remove backgrounds with a site called background remover ! Its kinda crummy ( esp if ur editing ) so u may have to clean it up with whatever u use for editting or flag making if pawssible。

I use ibis for litterally everything & its free on everything but desktop。i woulfnt recommend a bg remover app since its just a waste of space if you can just do it with a site or ibis as i do

The flag making process can be really quick or annoying as ever,,, i use laughdiamonds stripes religiously on my flags & some other sources sometimes。anything i use & anything like that is on my little side blog @boyfiegender ! Its mostly editing stuff but you may find things useful for flag making

Im not sure how one would explain it besides pick color & bucket tool (@_@ )
