Soonyoung: Savory (part 4)

Summary: In a world where half the world is populated by human-like creatures that eat people called “ghouls”, it’s not common or safe for a ghoul to fall in love with a human. Soonyoung never planned to catch these feelings, but he’s sworn to keep you safe no matter what.

A few weeks had passed, and while things definitely weren’t back to normal for the thirteen boys, things were becoming a new kind of normal. On the days you had to work, a few boys would walk you to work, and in return, you’d supply them with coffee -- it was free whenever Minseok wasn’t working. On your days off, you slept in without a problem before making breakfast for yourself with a handful of boys curiously watching you.

You and Soonyoung also got a lot closer very quickly. It was no secret he had strong feelings for you, and you were feeling the same way. He was nothing but sweet to you and never once made any suspicious moves toward you -- none of them did, to Seungcheol’s relief. You spent a lot of time together when you weren't working, mostly talking about everything you could think of; between big things like the universe, and how you think the world will end, to small things like what names you’d pick for kids -- not necessarily the kids you’d have together but just in general -- and what your favorite colors were.

On top of all that, Raejin had made himself scarce. In fact, you were beginning to forget about the encounter altogether. You still had nightmares at night but for different reasons that didn’t involve ghouls. They usually involved your parents or that one afternoon in the alley, but never ghouls.

The first few times it happened, nobody really heard you that you knew of since nobody came to see if you were okay. Since you were farther away from the boys’ rooms, you didn’t expect them to hear. However, about the third time it happened, you heard a loud knock on your door that awoke you from your sleep. Tears already streaking down your face, you opened the door to a concerned-looking Minghao.

“You okay?” he asked softly. “I heard something upstairs and I thought it was you...”

You rubbed your eyes. “Sort of.”

“I can get Soonyoung.” he said, waving you to follow him.

He had you sit on one of the couches before going upstairs to wake up the older boy. He came out quickly, rushing down the stairs to sit beside you and let you talk about whatever had been bothering you. Minghao even stayed up and made you coffee -- decaf -- before going back to his room, figuring you’d want to be alone. Ever since then, someone had always been there to wake you up when you had a bad dream.

But today, you were excited, much like the boys. Their friends from Shownu’s group were coming to visit, and while everyone was clearly impatient for them to show up, Wonwoo seemed incredibly nervous. You did remember that someone had mentioned to you that Wonwoo had a thing for a girl that hung around that group, so was he nervous to see her?

“You know you’ve been staring at Wonwoo for a solid sixty seconds, right?” Vernon asked from where he stood beside you, watching you curiously to figure out what you were staring at Wonwoo for.

You broke your gaze and looked at the dirty-blond boy beside you. “That means you’ve had to have been watching me for more than sixty seconds to know that.”

He laughed and nodded, looking over at Wonwoo. “Alright, you got me there. So what’s the deal?”

“What’s he so stressed about?” you wondered, looking up at Vernon with innocently wondrous eyes. “Is it about that girl?”

“Yeah, kinda.” he shrugged, stuffing his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants. “Ria doesn’t really live with them or anything. She just stops by frequently since Hyungwon’s her childhood best friend and kind of the only family she has. She’s not always with them, though, so he’s nervous she won’t show up. He hasn’t gotten to see her in a while.”

“Are they dating?”

“He wishes.” he chuckled, rolling his eyes. “It’s so obvious they like each other but he doesn’t have the balls to ask her out.”

“Like me and Hoshi?” you laughed.

He nodded, matching your soft laughter. “Yeah, exactly like that.”

“I can hear you, you know!” Wonwoo called from where he sat at the counter, not turning to look at you either way.

“Then grow a pair and ask her out, hyung!” Vernon shouted back.

“Ask who out?” a new voice asked.

All eyes looked over to the now-open window that led to the fire escape. There, a somewhat smaller looking boy with soft pink hair sat in the window with a sweet grin on his face.

“Kihyun!” Jeonghan grinned, running over to greet his friend.

“They’re heeeere!” Hansol sang softly with a smirk. “C’mon, we’ll introduce you.”

You learned their names were Wonho, Hyungwon -- both of which you already knew -- Minhyuk, Kihyun, Shownu, Changkyun, and Jooheon. All of them were incredibly sweet off the bat. Minhyuk seemed very interested in the fact you were human, walking around you while he slowly observed you, laughing about how he never really left the house and interacted with any humans before. Shownu just shooed him away and told him not to make you uncomfortable.

“Ria should be showing up soon.” Hyungwon reported, mostly speaking in the direction of Wonwoo. “She had to, uh...eat.”

“In broad daylight?” Chan asked. “Is that safe?”

Jooheon shrugged. “She goes to this tiny homeless community. Nobody really cares what happens there.”

“That sounds awful...” you frowned, speaking softly so nobody would hear.

Soonyoung did, though, since he was right beside you. He put an arm around you and rubbed your arm. “Don’t think about it too much, okay? They’re just doing what they have to to survive, and to keep you safe.”

“So we heard Raejin’s lurking around again.” Shownu said as he looked at Joshua and Jeonghan. “After Hoshi’s human again?”

“Miro wasn’t with him, though.” Joshua told them. “If he was, he would’ve definitely tried to fight with Hoshi, and who knows what would’ve happened.”

“But now Raejin wants her, too.” Jeonghan sighed, rolling his eyes like he was more annoyed with him than afraid. “He hasn’t been around lately. Maybe he fucked off back to wherever he came from after Hyungwon and Wonho threatened him.”

“Him and his minions are fucking creeps.” Hyungwon frowned, his nose scrunching up in disgust. “I still can’t believe Sejun tried to get Ria to go out with him.”

Changkyun nodded like he just learned something. “Ah, right. I forgot he has a death wish against Wonwoo for that.”

“There was always something creepy about those twins, too.” Seungcheol nodded.

“Yeah, they’re so obsessed with each other.” Minhyuk told him with a his face scrunching up in disgust.

A girl with long legs, wide hips, broad shoulders, and dark hair pulled up in a bun that stuck out in all directions on the top of her head suddenly slipped in through the open window and casually took a seat between Minhyuk and Kihyun like she’d been there all along. “We talking about the Choi twins? They’re really something else, huh?”

“That’s Ria.” Soonyoung whispered to you in his arms.

The two of you turned to look at Wonwoo whose eyes were now glued to Ria, a small smile starting to pull up one corner of his mouth. She looked over at him and smirked -- well, it was a smile that she tried to play off as a smirk.

Was this really how people saw you and Soonyoung?

You could see why Wonwoo liked Ria, though. She was a presence that demanded attention without having to do anything. She was only a couple inches shorter than Wonwoo, and was clearly fit. She wasn’t necessarily thin, either, but there was definitely muscle on her. Her intimidating appearance was a contrast to her cute, soprano voice.

“So where’s the new girl?” Ryku asked, looking around the sea of male ghouls. “It’ll be nice to have someone to hang around with in this sausage fest.”

“Ria, please.” Shownu sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose between his thumb and forefinger.

“I can see why her and Hyungwon are close.” you whispered, causing Soonyoung to giggle softly, before holding your hand up for Ria to notice you. “Hi, that’s me.”

Ria pushed herself off of the stool at the counter to sit right on top of the counter top. “Aw, you’re a lot cuter than I thought you’d be. You’re way out of Hoshi’s league.”

He groaned. “Why’re you all so mean to me?!”

She let out a laugh that passed for adorable despite the way her cat-like eyes glanced over at Soonyoung. “I’m just joking. You’re handsome, Hosh; just not my type.”

“Your type is tall, kinda boring, and dirty-blond, right?” he asked.

Ria nodded proudly. “Yup!”

Hyungwon walked over to the ghoul girl and brushed his thumb across the top of one of her cheekbones, swiping away a drop of blood left on her face that you had thought was a freckle. You tried your best not to let your face contort into one of discomfort, so instead, you turned away. Soonyoung understood and led you upstairs, nobody paying you any attention since both groups were busy catching up with their friends. He opened up the window to the fire escape and led you out to sit down on the cool metal.

“You’re allowed to ask for breaks, y’know.” he told you with a concerned smile. “Are you alright?”

You nodded. “It’s just...weird. I can’t describe how I feel.”

“You do know I’ll have to go out and do that eventually...right?” he asked slowly, afraid to meet your eyes. Instead, he looked down at the alleyway that he had found you in only a month or so ago -- give or take. It really felt longer to him.

You nodded. “Yeah, but you do it to people who deserve it. They do it to anyone. It is...conflicting, though.”

His interest was piqued. “How so?”

“I know that they do it to survive; you all do. Who am I to tell someone to stop living when they can’t help how their body works? But...it’s still so...weird. I’ll eventually just become numb to it but right now it’s weird thinking about it.”

Soonyoung nodded understandingly. He reached over to gently brush some hair behind your ear, trying his best to comfort you while also giving you space if you wanted it. You smiled softly, closing your eyes.

“I need to ask you something.” he suddenly blurted. Your eyes opened to look at him, but he was shocked with himself. But hey, now was a better time than any, right? “I don’t wanna end up like Wonwoo.”

Your brows knitted together as you let out a confused laugh. “Hosh, that’s not a question.”

He took in a deep breath to gather his thoughts. “Okay. I wanna tell you some things, and then ask you something.”

You nodded slowly. “Alright, go ahead.”

He chewed the inside of his cheek for a moment before speaking again. “My real name is Kwon Soonyoung; Hoshi’s my nickname because it’s not safe for people to know my real name. You already know how old I am, you already know where I came from, and you already know I’ve killed people who meant a lot to me. You know as much about me as the guys do, but I’m willing to tell you anything you ever want to know about me; I’ll do anything you ever ask of me.”

You stared at him for a while, silently. It wasn’t like you was judging him, but simply watching him as you mulled over his words.

“Soonyoung...” you said softly, trying the feel of the words on your lips. To him, it sounded like music coming from your mouth. He used to hate his name but hearing you say it made him happy with it. You nodded. “Is that all you wanted to tell me?”

“I don’t want to end up like Wonwoo.” he repeated. “I was wondering if you’d be mine. Not mine as in you belong to me but just...I want you to be with me. I know I’m a ghoul and you’re a human and this isn’t natural at all. I know there will be times when you’re uncomfortable with what I do. I’m willing to be patient. I’ve known you for months, and ever since, you’ve treated me with so much kindness and warmth; I couldn’t get you out of my mind. I’ve wanted to be with you but I knew I couldn’t. I followed you to keep you safe but I knew nothing romantic would come of it. But now I have the chance and I’m going to take it. Will you be with me?”

As he continued to speak, the smile on your face grew more and more until your cheeks hurt and you had to cover your mouth. Soonyoung grinned at you, taking your hands in his. You nodded, a giggle bubbling from your lips.

“Of course, Soonyoung!” you answered before he leaned forward to give you an excited kiss.

He wouldn’t ever admit it to any of the guys, but it wasn’t your first kiss. However, this was your first kiss as a couple, and it felt just as electric and happy as the first one ever.

A few days before Soonyoung asked you out, he was woken up by Minghao like he had been two other times earlier in the week. He already knew what it was about, and he got out of bed without asking anything.

“Coffee?” Minghao asked. He had been awake anyway since he was busy working on his laptop.

“Nah, I got it.” Soonyoung replied groggily as he went downstairs. “Thanks, though.”

He went over to your door and unlocked it with the key Seungcheol had given him -- he kept it on a necklace around his neck -- before going inside. You were still asleep, whimpering loudly as tears rolled down your face and onto your pillow. He gently shook your shoulder, causing you to gasp and jolt up.

This is how it usually went. You’d realize it was a dream, calm yourself down, and talk to him about what happened. You were a strong girl but he couldn’t help but still be concerned for you. Once you were calmer, you’d go make coffee and go sit in the living room together. Only this time, it was different. You went back to your room instead.

“Are you coming?” you asked over your shoulder.

Soonyoung watched you with both cups of coffee in his hands before hesitantly following behind you. You closed the door behind him before sitting on your bed and taking a cup from him. He sat down after and studied you carefully.

“Are you sure you’re comfortable?” he asked. “What if you fall asleep with me in here?”

You shrugged, sipping from your mug. “I trust you.”

So instead of talking and watching TV in the living room, you did the same thing in your bedroom. It took about an hour for you to get sleepy again -- that’s how long it usually took -- so you set your decaf coffee on your nightstand and laid back into the wall, leaning your head against Soonyoung’s shoulder.

“Can I ask you something?” he asked softly.

“You’ve been asking me things for an hour, why would I tell you no?” you laughed quietly, looking up at him while keeping your head on him. “What’s on your mind now?”

“You are.” he replied honestly with a small smile. “I asked you the other day about kids, remember?”

You nodded. “Yeah, I remember.”

“So, let’s say you end up with a guy who treats you wonderfully, and you love him truly and deeply.” Soonyoung began, setting up the scenario. “You decide to have kids with him but he doesn’t ever tell you that he’s a ghoul. Once you find out, would you not want the baby anymore?”

You hummed softly as you thought the options over, your fingers lightly drumming against each other. He watched you carefully, but let you take your time with figuring out your answer. It wasn’t that he wanted to know if you’d reject him -- okay, maybe it was half that -- but he was honestly curious about the answer. He knew lots of ghouls who didn’t want to bring more of themselves into the world just to be hunted down and killed.

“I think,” you began slowly, your teeth softly grazing your bottom lip, “that if it was raised to be like you guys -- to only eat bad people -- that I would be okay with it. Especially if it was with someone that I really loved, and he loved me. Does that make sense?”

Satisfied with the answer, he smiled and nodded, pressing a soft kiss like he’d done many times before to the top of your head. He remembered the first time he did that, you were so shocked but then asked for another one, saying it made you feel safe. That made him happy.

You looked up at him. “Have you ever kissed a human?”

He raised his eyebrows, taken slightly aback by your question. “Have I kissed a human?”

“Yeah.” you nodded. “You always kiss me on the head but have you ever really kissed one? You just seem really...comfortable with me.”

“Well, I’m comfortable with you for obvious reasons.” he chuckled. “Anyway, to answer your question, no, I haven’t.”

“Could you...kiss...me?” you asked tentatively.

He couldn’t control when his eyes widened from surprise, and his cheeks turned brighter than his hair. “R-really?”

You giggled softly at his reaction and nodded. “Yeah. If you want to; if you’re comfortable.”

“I’m comfortable, but...aren’t you scared?”

“That you’re gonna bite my lips off?” you laughed, shaking your head. “Nah, not really.”

He let out a tiny huff, suddenly feeling very flustered by how calm you were about this. “Well, now I’m nervous! Can I just do it when you’re not expecting it?”

“Yeah, you have my consent, Hoshi.” you chuckled, laying your head on his shoulder again as you looked at the bright TV screen. “You’re gonna become like Wonwoo.”

He frowned. “I am not!”

“Are too.”

He leaned to the opposite side, his shoulder slipping out from under your head. “Excuse you.”

You laughed even harder seeing his disgusted and offended expression. “Come on, you’re so--”

“I’m so what?” he raised an eyebrow, trying to act fake-menacing. “Choose your words carefully, human.”

“You’re still cute, Hosh.”

“You know what’d be cuter?”

“Hmm?”

Carefully, Soonyoung cradled your face in his hands, bringing his face forward until it was just an inch away from yours. Your expression softened as you looked into his eyes, watching as his eyes flickered from yours, to your slightly parted pink lips, and back again.

He smirked softly. “That cute little surprised expression you make.”

Then he pressed his lips to yours. The contact was feather soft at first, but he slowly intensified it when he felt your body relax. It wasn’t anything heated, just a simple, warm kiss that maybe lasted a little longer than it should’ve but neither wanted to break away.

When he finally pulled away, he watched as your eyes fluttered open, the apples of your cheeks blushed as red as your sweatshirt.

“So, I’m like Wonwoo, huh?” he quizzed.

“Alright,” you breathed, “you win this time.”

“And many other times to come.” he promised.

as most peeps well know, my bg is SEVENTEEN TEEN TEEN and ugh i love all their songs so much this is a real struggle but i think Pretty U, Beautiful, NO F.U.N, Healing and Fronting are the ones I listen to most consistently ??? (this was my biggest struggle in my 19 years idk man i like all their songs listen to them all)

What are your five favorite songs (kpop) not from your bias group?

Well this is even more difficult but I’ll list some I’ve been listening to a lot recently bc I am super indecisive: Blackout by VIXX (bc i finally added it to my playlist thanks to cass), CAMO by BoA (dude this song is so good i’ve listened to it so much she is my queen), Running 2 U by NCT127 (ah this song is so lit by i wish it was longer tbh), Happy by WJSN (i go so hard to this song) and You Smile by ASTRO (this might be my favorite astro song ever idk i just love it so so much like i love baby a lot but 10/10 shoulda been their title imo)

Who is your bias and why do you like them?

hmmmm well idk abt you but i just hate jeon wonwoo what a gross nerd who reads a bunch o books and makes dumb puns and laughs unnecessarily hard at the pain of others and is generally very violent w skinship and can’t eat seafood and is wayyyy overconfident and always hides his hands if he’s wearing long sleeves and is generally very shy and introverted and is afraid of dogs and cried at me before you and thinks he’s the best gamer in the world and has the dorkiest,  most adorable smile where his nose crinkles up and wow how gross don’t like him at all idk what to say

What do you usually wear for winter/autumn/spring/summer? What’s your “style”?

ahhh mariah i totally agree w you~~ my ‘style’ is just generally comfy lol usually i wear leggings and a t-shirt tbh but my job requires me to wear real pants rip so for work i usually wear jeans and an okay shirt ? my staple piece is long sleeve t-shirts tho i wear them all the time even in summer here it gets p hot but if i can i wear log sleeves and pants bc i’m crazy apparently. i like sweaters a lot too and jeans but idk i’m just so lazy when it comes to fashion help me

How did you “discover” kpop and how did you discover vixx?

okay i was like why vixx bc i didn’t realize someone else wrote this lol but kpop in general i found through youtubers yes yes and i was like wow dope then i only listened to bts for a couple months and here i am now (you can find a more detailed synopsis in basically any questions tag i’ve done if you haven’t seen it by now lol) BUT WOW VIXX HOW INTERESTING OKAY so i liked chained up and dynamite ya know back in the early days of my kpop career so like early 2016 i think then that spring/summer 2016 i was like okay i like bts and svt but i know there’s more out there *clenches fist* so i set out on the yt channel learnkpopnameswithme (?) and i saw vixx and was like wow cool i know a bit abt them and i watched a couple and i think i saw error and was like hollup this is too damn intense bye so i still listened to their music and stuff but i thought there were unattractive and i hated ken (I AM SO SORRY I LOVE HIM NOW IT’S OKAY) but i think when milky way mv came out i was like wow how good and pure! and then a month or two ago i really started watching more of them and their variety lol. but in conclusion i’ve known their names for forever but i was like not into them much haaaa sorry

• Who is your bias and why do you like them?  LEE JIHOOOOOOOOON OH MY GOD okay.

I love baby because as much as I love all thirteen of my dorks, I can’t imagine having anyone else as my bias. Yes, I had stanning issues and I admittedly still do, Choi Seungcheol is still my main bias wrecker after lol what 11 months? You can’t just forget your first bias. Anyway, because. Lee Jihoon makes my heart so soft, every time he’s adorable, he doesn’t even have to try. He makes me so happy and he’s just such a hard working person and what is there he cannot do? Like what 5 instruments? Studied classical music? Dances like an adorable little fluff bumblebee BUT IS ACTUALLY OKAY BUT HIS BODY MIGHT BE SMALL BUT HIS CHARISMA IS NO JOKE AND YOU ARE NOT LIVING IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD HIM RAP. He’s just so talented, I mean like violin with EDM and Jeonghan’s voice, he’s just such a genius. I have never heard so much music that I love and admire and appreciate so much and it just feels like a blessing to love him. I mean like you mean I get to love him? For free? Like there’s no catch? I can’t really explain why, but I can tell you that as much as I do love all 13 of my sunshines, I can’t imagine not being Jihoon biased. • How did you “discover” kpop and how did you discover vixx? OK SO IT WAS A FATEFUL AUGUST 25TH 2016! A THURSDAY AFTERNOON AFTER SCHOOL! I hopped onto my computer after school. So like theres this Korean girl group at my school that walks around sometimes singing songs or just yelling at each other in Korean XD and at first I was like …kpop? DON’T KILL ME FOR THIS BUT LETS BE REAL EVERYONES FIRST THOUGHT ON KPOP IS GANGNAM STYLE. And so since I do like watching choreography very much, I searched on YouTube, hardest kpop dances. One of the videos there showed Mansae hide ver. Of the dance practice and I was like oh this looks nice and its catchy too *makes mental note to youtube that later* *youtubes it* it starts to play the MV and I was like is this song I was looking for? And then I got to the chorus and I’m just like ALSDHJLASDKJLSKAJKLJ and I BASICALLY CRASHED INTO THE FANDOM OVERNIGHT AND IT WAS SO FUN BECAUSE I GOT TO SLOWLY DROWN MYSELF IN EVERY MEMBER LOL and Vixx? Uhhh I just heard about them somewhere XD but Shangri-la sounds really nice, it sounds like Chinese music but it’s in Korean, I like it. • What does your phone case look like? Fun fact about me: I actually don’t have a phone case. My parents are the type to not spend money on “useless things” and a phone case is one of them (well for me anyway) and I have a vintage iPhone 4S, and all the cases that I do have are from my relatives or something and I don’t like the cases XD there’s this one black one that I would use except I can’t turn it off cause the off button part of the case is really hard. The Colour in Your Eyes

Soulmate AU with Hoshi

When they dye their hair, your eyes become that colour

for years you had no idea of what your soulmate mark was

you had no timer

no unusual marks or tattoos

cant hear them in your head

nada

for the first 15~ years of your life, you had nothing

UNTIL ONE fine DAY

you were getting ready in the morning

looked in the mirror

and almost brought the house down with your scream

your parents thought you were dying tbh

nope

just had very light blonde eyes in place of your usual brown ones

it took you some time to get used to the fact that your soulmate mark was your eyes

out of everything it was your beloved eyes

you looked in a few books and online and apparently, the most likely option is your soulmate mark is that their hair colour matches your eyes, and vice versa

just your luck

you only hoped they didn’t dye their hair often

hes an idol honey, its gonna happen

your friends loved the fact that your eyes would change

you noticed that eventually your eyes went a bit darker but they were still a shade of blonde

but after a while, they changed again

this time, it went from blonde to a blue green around your iris which faded to a blonde gotta love mansae

not the most natural colour

again your friends were in love

thought it was stunning 

it was you just didnt want to admit it

so to get back at your soulmate, you decided to dye your hair for the first time

you decided with a nice dark green first 

nothing to drastic, just enough to be noticeable

Hoshi, who knew he had a soulmate but didnt know his mark yet, was always hopeful

so when he looked into the mirror one day, he knew that you were out there

he saw his eyes, now a forest green

and also his hair, still blue and blonde

a quick google search later showed him the same that came up for you

so, when he next dyed his hair, his first thought was to you

how you would react to his now blue hair

safe to say you were used to it changing colours but this time you were awake and watching it

it was kinda late at night when you felt your vision going fuzzy

you got the mirror and sat there watching your eyes change like you’d just put in contacts

you sent a message to your friend about it before going to sleep finally

when you went to school to see her, she took a picture of your eyes to add to the small collection

she also made you listen to her music for the fifth time and this time it was drumroll please kpop

just some light stuff tho

some bts, exo and, you guessed it, seventeen

you felt somehow drawn to the last group and made a mental note to listen to them later

so, after school, you went to the corner shop, got some hair dye and headed home to relax

you sat with the hair dye developing while looking up Seventeen

tbh they were pretty good

you learned their names really quickly surprisingly

you really liked the performance team leader, he just stood out to you as someone you really really liked

he was hilarious to you 

you noticed he had kinda blue hair but didnt think anything of it, they all had dyed hair, one even had rainbow hair

you were watching the One Fine Day series, it had been out for a few weeks already but you still wanted to watch it

you payed attention to him a lot so you noticed his eyes

they were a really pretty colour of 

WAIT

IS THAT A FOREST GREEN I SEE

it was a little brown around the iris 

it was that moment you realised 3 things

his hair was the same shade as your eyes, complete with the lighter streaks and everything

your hair matched his hair almost exactly

the hair dye was ready to be washed out

hoshi on the other hand was yelling about how she couldn’t have chosen a nicer colour, she had to choose Joker purple

he was on a break after wonwoos soulmate had kinda told them to stop so she could focus on her studying (wonwoo au)

suddenly theres a slight purple haze and jun is laughing at him cos he looks simply stunning with bright purple eyes

once the haze cleared, he could finally look

admittedly it did look good

but still, joker purple?

you were so proud of yourself, this way you could tell if it was him or not

so when pictures emerged a few days later of hoshi with purple eyes, you knew that Kwon Soonyoung was your soulmate

you also grew to like the purple so that stayed for a while

and for a while, hoshi’s hair stayed blue, with the roots growing in so it greated a nice effect which looked really cool in you eyes

as the months passed, both your hairs changed, with his ranging in colours and shades, and yours changing from purple to yellow (which inspired woozi) and a soft pink and at one point, orange

you just done whatever colours would be wacky enough for you to make sure he was actually for real

then one day you went to Brooklyn, New York for a trip with your family

you were walking around, taking in the sights and the people

you had to pass the Borough Hall to get to one of the sights however

you had heard that some of seventeen, most likely the performance team was somewhere around in brooklyn but you couldn’t be sure

besides, you would spot them a mile off going by your eye colour which was a violent platinum blonde

you say a large crowd of people around the hall but thought nothing of it until you heard music playing as well

the voices sounded vaguely familiar, and you realised that the language twas not english, it sounded more like korean to you

the crowd was looking odd as well, and there was a camera moving between the people

could this be the magical seventeen in front of you

the odds were slim but it was possible

you got closer and the music shut off

they were all going off for a break it seemed

you saw two blondes, a ginger and a silver blue haired man

one was very VERY blonde, it almost hurt to look at him but the other

the other was a colour you’d seen a few hours earlier in the mirror

as if he felt something pulling him, Hosh looked up and started walking

some of the actors that had met their soul-mates recognised that look on their face, as did Hao who was standing off to the side drinking some water

the manager looked confused before hao waved him off

you felt the pull too and were walking fast towards the crowd

soon you were running and so was soonyoung

as soon as you reached the other, there was an explosion of colour and once it settled

his eyes were a multitude of all the colours you had ever dyed your hair and you could only imagine that yours were the same

the floor was stained with the colours of you both 

some people had splashes of colour on them

it was very bright

god only knows how you two looked

his lovely white clothes were stained 

thankfully they had another pair

after the Great Colour Explosion of 2017 you and soonyoung became very close obvs

you still gained colours when the other dyed their hair

you found out after Soonyoung and the boys left the door for the day and suddenly there was a neon pink haze  

when you checked in the mirror

you knew that he would be dead when he got home

as soon as you heard the dorm door opening you rAN

there was a protective circle but nothing could protect them from the vicious yell that came from the small bundle of fury running at them
