I may have to switch back to Reshade for Fallout 4. I can easily run FO4 with ultra settings, a really heavy texture pack, godrays up the ass and probably see one stutter every three hours. When I switched to ENBs it was fucking stutter city everywhere. My fps was stuck between 30 and 37. It felt like I was playing Bloodborne on a gen 1 PS4. Don't know what happened. I used to play using PRC and all those settings intact and it ran fine. Maybe the new updates are more demanding on resources so fps suffers for it.

I'm gonna recheck some Reshade presets I used for FO4 and see if they're still up.

I always end up playing Skyrim when I get overly stressed out by crazy shit. Spent my last few evenings fixing my game’s memory issues cos I didn’t believe my GTX 970 can’t handle Skyrim on high settings.

Tell me about your AU setting please!

My soulsborne AU is called ‘the age of water’, and it’s part of a fic by the same name.

The basic premise is that all the worlds of Soulsborne are the same. Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls 1/2/3, and Bloodborne all exist in the same Cosmos and (mostly) play by the same rules. In addition, some souls reincarnate between lifetimes-- so you have, for example, a certain humble Fire Keeper becoming the keeper of the Astral Clocktower, or a certain pyromancer reborn as the First Vicar.   

I don’t know the lore of all three games equally- DS1 and Bloodborne are my faves, so they’re the ones I’m focusing on. I’m watching ENB’s (ongoing) 100% Demon Souls’ LP right now-- I wasn’t originally intending to include it in ‘the age of water’, but with the cut dialogue dump, with Gascoigne saying ‘umbasa’... yeah, I think it’s got to be there too. 

I haven’t worked out how the world of Demon Souls becomes Dark Souls. (Working logic for the moment: Demon Souls takes place near the end of the golden age of Lordran, Boletaria is in a completely different part of the world, the demons are from Lost Izalith and are answering the call of the Infant Great One trapped in the Nexus.).

But as for how Dark Souls becomes Bloodborne... the Great Ones clearly do not follow the laws of the universe, reality, or even sanity. When even a tiny one comes into the world, everything fucking alters.

Mad Aldrich spoke of a coming Age of Water. He wasn’t wrong. The Great Ones fled their world to the world of man- themselves escaping some apocalypse so awful that humans couldn’t even comprehend it. When they appeared in the ‘real’ universe en masse, everything changed. Water- and thus blood- became the glue holding the universe together, upholding that careful knife-edge of disparity life needs. 

That’s the gist.

Not to get ahead of myself here but "Hunterborn SSE" seems like a pretty fitting mod for werewolf/shaman/Forsworn/hunter/woodsman/*insert anything else I may have overlooked* players.

Tl;dr it enables hunting to be a part of the game with more rewards. It also adds more animal meat, different kinds of bones and more ingredients if your character dabbles some in alchemy.

You can pair this mod with "Scrimshaw Expanded - A Hunterborn Addon" (Lite version) and you can use those extra items and the vanilla pelts, hides and furs to make new armors and jewelry.

Like "Better Vampires" you level up--you do so by hunting and skinning and harvesting prey. But unlike BV it gives you the option to immediately reach final rank through the options. I'll level up naturally for now as I wanna see how this unfolds.

I am definitely making my Orc character (or maybe his sister? We'll see). I downloaded this mainly for Loke but it could work well with my Orc as well.

Also I totally did a double take as when I read the name Hunterborn the first thing I thought of was Bloodborne and got super excited lol

Far as I know the only Bloodborne mod for Skyrim is an ENB and it's only available for PC (booooooo!)

I'd sell my soul to see the Dovahkiin swinging a tricked Beast Cutter. Just imagine how badass that would look.

Anyway! I'll be giving this mod a try and see how I like it but so far it looks really interesting.
