The Day The Prince Died
Lipsticks are popularly and commonly seen in shades of red, Red symbolises strong emotions, power, self confidence and love.
When the lipstick incident happened, yuka was pushed away from all of them, their strong emotions were suppressed and love was restricted from them.
Yuka paints the glass wall around them in shades of what is acceptable and expected from them and gets disconnected from their sense of self as they are confined in conformity
Yuka takes of their school blazer to use it as a hanging noose, it's as if they are taking out the straight/cis jacket of pretense as living in a world where they'll never be able to live as their true self and will always have to suppress to survive is the death of them.
When toono asks yuka to take off their clothes, it's like yuka is asked to scrape off that paint of pretense and tear open the canvas of confinement.
Toono applies paint on the window where yuka's lips are giving a throwback to the lipstick incident and let yuka's shades of self flow in their veins dyeing their body in the hues of who they are, and take off the 'thick' and 'heavy' layer of false colors, to glisten in their own colors.
Also hiding yuka's lips with paint adds more focus to their eyes and it is aptly said that "eyes are the windows to the soul".
At the end when yuka says (jokes?) that they may have fallen for toono, they're allowing themselves to reclaim their love and strong emotions and speaking out loud about them.

I wanted to write for Yuka because they are beautiful and deserve the world
Honesty
Fic type: Short form
Characters: Ryuji Ayukawa, Yatora Yaguchi (mentioned)
Fandom: Blue Period
Being Yuka's partner wasn't something you expected to be easy, considering no relationship was ever easy, and it was only confirmed to be so when you got woken up by Yatora in the middle of the night, calling you to come get him and Yuka at noon tomorrow.
Why they were together at this time of night, you didn't bother asking, and he didn't say, so you just set an alarm and fell back asleep.
"I see.... How bout you stay here for awhile, Yuka? You know my mother loves you! Plus I'd get to do your hair more often." You say over their shoulder as they sit between your legs on the floor, letting you braid their hair.
-----
"So yeah. Yatora and I spent the night at the inn. I would go back home to grab a change of clothes, but there's nothing for me to grab. Thankfully you're my size!" They laugh slightly, trying not to move too much.
"Maybe... I'm sure I'll figure it out, you know I can't leave grandmother without warning..." A sigh leaves their mouth as they tilt their head back, looking up at you through their bangs. "But I do appreciate the offer, hun."
"I just want my angel to be happy, is all! You're important to me!" They snort, rolling their eyes at you, tilting their head to press a kiss to your knee.
"I better be, or else why do I send you good morning texts?" You smile down at them, pressing a kiss to the tip of their nose, and they smile up at you. You two chatter away until you're summoned for dinner, a newfound understanding between you both.
Oh sure, dating Yuka might not be easy sometimes, and they sure did make you worry a lot, but as you smiled at eachother across the dinner table and later fell asleep in their lap while watching a movie, you wouldn't have it any other way.
------
"Is Ryuji okay now?" Yatora whispered loudly to your right, and you hum slightly, not turning your head from your own easel.
"They're doing better, that's for certain. Thank you for looking after them, Yatora. Late night dinner is on me tonight!" He laughs slightly, and you smile down at your painting.
Yeah. This was the life for you, alright.

"In middle school, I told a friend that I wanted to die, and they said, "then you'd better die naked." what the heck that's embarrassing. "if that embarrasses you," "if you're still bothered by what other people think of you, then you can't die just yet."
