Flytrap part 1
[ part 2 ]
sometimes you want to draw but you don’t know what to draw so you draw an excerpt from something @quatschmachen wrote for you once upon a blue moon about Ed running away after y2k to hide out at Mac’s new place. His new place that somehow is already a toxic wasteland...
i picked this scene because we sort of co-wrote this one. i take the credit for the cookie, the flytrap, and the bbq drawer.

Hello Rotomblr! I'm Primm Boab, and I'm a habitat researcher travelling the world to study how Pokémon are adapted to and interact with their environment, as well as how their environment changes as a result of what kinds of Pokémon live in them. I'm still setting up this whole account, but eventually it'll be the front for my expedition findings, and the whole team is excited to meet you!
Well...
For a loose definition of 'team' I suppose...
I used to run the league circuits and I never really made the right connections while I was doing it, so I'm actually only a one person team, no research grants or peer reviewing here, haha...
My Pokémon are all definitely looking forward to the extra attention though, haha!
Right now any posts I make will probably be a little simple or off topic, no pictures or in depth analysis yet because I'm usually really busy on expeditions so I'm taking the time to set this up during a vacation. I'm in a little hostel in Coumarine City, Kalos, right now and I'll be setting off to look around the clay plains of Route 13 when I have the chance.

Researchers Race to Protect Centuries-Previous Carvings on Australian Boab Timber
After two years of fieldwork, a bunch of researchers and First Nations Australians have introduced the invention of centuries-old carvings on 12 boab bushes in Australia’s Tanami Desert. Carvings on boabs have been first reported within the mid-Nineteenth century, however they weren’t investigated totally till a century later. The carvings depict snake figures believed by the workforce to be the King Brown Snake, a personality in Indigenous oral traditions, amongst geometric patterns and different representations of animals. The workforce’s analysis describing the carvings is revealed this week within the journal Antiquity. The boab (or bottle) tree (Adansonia gregorii) could reside over 1,000 years, primarily based on the courting of the carefully associated baobab bushes in South Africa. They’ve very thick, usually squat trunks that give them their nickname. Not like many bushes, the boab’s smooth internal trunk doesn’t report seasonal progress rings, making it tough to exactly date them. As a substitute of regular dendrochronological strategies, getting a exact age for these bushes requires radiocarbon courting. Regardless of how lengthy a number of the carvings—and the bushes on which they have been carved—have endured, tinheritor existence is fragile. “Not like most Australian bushes, the internal wooden of boabs is smooth and fibrous and when the bushes die, they simply collapse,” mentioned Sue O’Connor, an archaeologist on the Australian Nationwide College, in an Australian Nationwide College launch. G/O Media could get a fee Nice offers occurring proper now Unhappy that Prime Day is over? Don’t be! Greatest Purchase is selecting up the slack with a gross sales occasion of its personal. From good TVs to earbuds to laptops, there are many alternatives to avoid wasting. “Sadly, after lasting centuries if not millennia, this unbelievable paintings, which is equally as vital because the rock artwork Indigenous Australians are well-known for, is now in peril of being misplaced,” O’Connor added. The pith, seeds, and roots of the tree are eaten, and components of the tree have medicinal makes use of amongst First Nations Australians. The bark is comparatively clean, leaving the not too long ago catalogued carvings clear to the bare eye. The workforce desires so far the Australian boabs instantly, to get a way of the potential age of the carvings. Solely 12 boabs have been recognized with carvings within the latest fieldwork, however earlier analysis recognized 22 boabs with Indigenous carvings. Older boabs usually have hole trunks, which might make them extra liable to collapse; in keeping with Brittanica, the latest deaths of a number of the largest baobabs (a carefully associated species) have been linked to the consequences of local weather change. “We’re in a race in opposition to time to doc this invaluable cultural heritage,” mentioned Brenda Garstone, a Conventional Proprietor who collaborated with the analysis workforce, within the college launch. Apart from the snake dendroglyphs, the workforce discovered carvings of emu tracks, kangaroo tracks, a lizard-like determine, and geometric markings. They additionally discovered First Nations stone artifacts round a number of the bigger boabs. Aerial imagery indicated tons of extra boabs within the surrounding space of the Tanami, and the workforce intends to verify these boabs for carvings as properly. Starting with the fork, which sends carts scattering across multiple diverging tracks. “This new trailer shows off three new coaster modules you’ll be able to thrill your guests with. This was later accompanied by a blog post after the Park Beyond trailer Gamescom debut, in which the publisher went into further detail. The game’s modular system allows players “to easily tweak the track’s inclinations, yaw, pitch, roll, and loops.” Park Beyond features “thousands of assets split into various themes such as a Western theme, a DaVinci theme, etc.” All are built to encourage a “mix-and-match” playstyle. This, of course, extends to the rides themselves. The developers promise that players can easily “swap out pieces, trade decorations, build custom structures from scratch,” and much more. Beyond Hope Resort RV Park offers 70 RV spaces with electric and water hook ups. Thanks to accessible controls and a story-driven campaign mode.

The developers are determined that players be free to customize their Park however they like, using the vast array of tools provided to them. Jack Dale c.1922 - 2013
Born: Imanji (Mt House Station), Kimberleys, WA
Language group: Ngarinyin, Community: Derby, WA
"Jack Dale was one of the last remaining Kimberley elders whose life is Kimberley history personified. His life story has been recorded by historians and academics, and for 15 years he used painting as a method to tell his story from his own unique perspective and aesthetic.
Records recently obtained from Births, Deaths and Marriages confirms that Jack was born between 1920 and 1922, placing him in his nineties when he sadly passed away in 2013. He was born in the bush at Mt House Station (Imanji country). His mother was a Ngarinyin woman and his father was a hard-living and brutal Scottish frontiersman. His father once shot Jack in the leg to stop him from 'running away'. Naturally, his mother tried to keep him away from his violent white father.
When his father passed away, Jack's Aboriginal grandfather took him under his wing, teaching him Narrungunni law and protecting him from the prevailing social attitudes towards 'mixed blood' children. During this time Jack saw many things that would later be the subjects of his paintings; hiding in the bush as police patrols forcibly took Aboriginal children from their families, watching chain gangs of Aboriginal men being marched away to the Prison Tree, and the arrival of the Afghan camel drivers.
Jack went on to live a remarkable life that bridged two cultures. For most of his life, he worked as a stockman and was greatly revered as a skilful, tough and uncompromising man who was never 'thrown from a horse or defeated by a beast'. He was also a respected Aboriginal elder and lawman and was considered one of the last of a generation of old men who possess a complete knowledge of the rituals, law and culture of his people. He was a vital link to the past and still is to this day through his art.
Jack began to paint in the 1990's with rigour and excitement. In his later years he was forced to retire from painting following a spate of heart attacks which placed him in serious danger and saw him admitted to a home. The resilient man that he was, before he passed away, he did begin to visit the studio again to follow his painting career with a vengeance - and as much enthusiasm as he had in the 90's. His story truly is remarkable.
Jack produced large ceremonial boards used by traditional dancers to re-enact dreaming stories. He also used his extensive cultural knowledge to record aspects of the Wandjina dreaming sites of his people. The Wandjina is an iconic powerful spirit man of the Kimberley, who forms clouds, rain and the landscape, and who, in Jack's paintings, is distinguishable by its large circular eyes, round head and halo formation. The eyes are most arresting eyes and entice the viewer in to the work. Jack managed to capture the power and strength of the Wandjina with the use of strong lines and dots which give the artworks a pulsating energy.
He used large blocks of colour outlined with dots, which is synonymous with the Kimberley region, and then would add figurative motifs of boab trees, horses, aeroplanes and people to tell his story. Whilst originally painting in natural ochre, Jack's later works were painted with Acrylics which allowed him to use vibrant hues, including blues, reds and yellows.
While the subject matter of his artworks was at times grim, and to the western eye, the Wandjinas may seem confronting, the spirit and energy of his naive style works overcome this initial response.
Despite all, there is an enchanting and buoyant spirit in his art (as there was in this resilient man). The stories behind each of his works add an extra dimension to Jack's paintings and when understood, add to the fascination of these paintings. They are a unique and often humorous record of a long life lived deep within traditional Aboriginal law and yet also in the dangerous 'whitefella' world at the frontier of Kimberley life. These paintings raise your interest and beg to be talked about and considered. They are indeed a doorway to a greater understanding of Australia's history, a fact that makes his artworks highly collectible and the basis for great dinner party discussions.
Jack Dale was and remains an important and significant man as he is part of the history of the Kimberley region and its Indigenous people. Interest in his work has increased exponentially through his many solo exhibitions. His art can be seen as important historical and cultural documents, which could equally hang in a fine art gallery or a museum, where their anthropological value is outstanding, providing authentic, first-hand information regarding Australia's history."

ooc;; this is a massive crossover between The magic School bus, Captain Planet && Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. Plz don't use my gifs I made them, if u do plz give me credit.
This takes place between / after S1 EP23 & 24 ( Mission to Save Earth Part 1 / part 2 ) of Capitan Planet and months before the start of the movie- before the rings of destruction were destroyed Dr. Blight took a shard of each jewel from the rings and kept them in case The Planeteers foiled her plans. Which of course, the heroes won, or so they thought but Dr. Blight always had a backup plan. Along with that she was also working on her lastest project: creating the perfect human / weapon. EXPERIMENT 32. Which was her second human experiment besides herself. All the other ones were tested on animals.
During her experiments, she also was researching this ancient tree deep in the heart of the rainforest it was said to house an entity whose sole purpose was to bring destruction and chaos to the world, slowly destroying the world- Its name was Hexxus. She hired some unknown workers ( not trusting her normal comrade's ) to cut it down and bring it to her, unharmed. So she hired Tony and Ralph, of course they didn't care why she did since it's their job anyway and she was paying them extra to bring the Boab tree to her unharmed. This is where Hexxus comes into play and where the canon of the movie is shifted ( it still happens but just way later since Dr. Blight convinced Hexxus to help her and given they share the same feelings towards the planet. )
During Dr. Blight and Hexxus' time together they formed a very strong relationship, that rivaled her and MAL's relationship. She fused the shards of destruction and filled in the cracks with Hexxus' essence, that would be placed in the host of EXPERIMENT 32 while It was growing in the artificial womb and when the time comes Dr. Blight will unlease her creation ( DA is 7 years old when she's dropped into the unknown of the outside world, with no memory ) onto the world. Once the project is completed and the child is born Hexxus is no longer needed and he takes off back to the rainforest.
( To start the events of the movie ) DA is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode- it laid dormant for the first 19 years of DA's life, time runs out and the monster is unleashed-Nightmares plagued her nights and flashes of things buried deep in her subconscious started to creep into her waking hours, glimpses of white walls, cold voices and blood, so much blood and screaming- blurred faces with blonde hair with streaks of white. A blackhole, drowning in a sea of thick blackness- filling her lungs, consuming her heart and mind. Swimming towards the dying light of her humanity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This thing- this blackhole swallowing her whole, a glimpse of light that moral eyes were not equipped to gaze upon, for it is the equivalent to a solar eclipse. It's the last shred of her humanity- she's losing herself to this darkness, it's infested everything. She's failing her classes, the pills are muddying her mind, she grown addicted to them in order to keep herself afloat. Her mind snaps in two from the pressure of her crumbing mental state of the thing that was growing inside of her finally breaks free- black bile spills from her lips. Forming into a black hole of pure toxicity.
Tumblr media
Ripping the last bit of light from her heart and leaving a husk of what used to be a human. Nothing is left but this monster.
Tumblr media
This creation of flesh and blood is stronger, smarter and a 100% better than Captain Pollution could ever dream to be. With an IQ of 200, a photograph memory and near perfect human form- EXPERIMENT 32 is the perfect biological monstrosity to wipe out entire populations of plants and animals, and generally wreak havoc on Earth.

Day 3 9th August
We now have 13 on the tour from today(max is 21) plus driver and hostess. 3 are from the tour I was part of in the past 2 days and rest joined today. The group joining are a group of 7 people all friends or related and about 30ish age group. Remainder are in the 50- late 60’s ,1 81yr old and a daughter of one in her early 40’s. A very nice group so far so should be a happy trip. Today we left at 0630 and dove to about 2+hrs to a famous Road House on the way to Derby and had breakfast. It was all set up on a lovely shady lawn area and very pleasant. Even able to buy a real coffee at the road house and of course a toilet. Toilets become a real focus when you are driving distance and don’t have control on stops. However of course there is the Bush wee option if desperate😂. The Roadhouse was very busy with road trains and horse carriers, caravans, cars and tourist buses. Took your life in Your hands to cross from where we had breakfast at one side to the roadhouse door! Apparently the horse transport numbers are due to a big Rodeo and Broome races all occurring the weekend we are away.
Seen lots Boab trees and then the Derby Prison Tree and big trough. Here we also filled in our census online as we are out of reception for several days once we leave derby. There is also very little to no access to power for those days so couldn’t charge if we did have acces😂. Then depends on you provider after that.To do it on the night we would have had to travel 30kms do it by paper and drive back and access to the paper versions closed before we got anywhere close🤔.
We then drove to Derby to Norval Aboriginal Gallery. Beautiful paintings and even had someone sitting outside painting. I didn’t succumb to pearls bu did to a beautiful vibrant painting from the gallery! Fortunately I had it shipped home so no extra luggage. Then as I am told everyone who passes through Derby does we went out to the Jetty.
Now on the Gibb River Road with our destination Windjana Gorge where we’re camping.
Just saw some Brolgas which are apparently harder to see in the dry. Then stopped on the side of the road to collect wood for tonight’s fire (no power at the site). Discovered that collection of wood is another task we do every few days. We all went into the Bush dragged it in and then helped pass it up to Sean (Doc) our driver who was storing it on the roof. We turned out to be pretty fast and good collectors.
We went to Windjana Gorge and camped. Very remote and unpowered site again. Your headlamp is definitely your friend on this trip🤣. There were showers and toilets all set out individually but only about 6. This night we had swags and our sleeping bags and could put up our own little tent if we wished. However it was recommended to sleep in the swag under the stars which I did. An unreal experience. Even had a wallaby sniff around me and the swag next to me. We had a bit of a laugh when one of the younger men complained of being cold overnight and turns out he slept directly in his swag, no sleeping bag! We also had a drama when both men lost their mobiles, everyone mobilized and found one still in the pocket of the stored tent and one had been put in his wife’s bag for safety but he forgot to tell his wife🤣. Has become a bit of a joke all trip.
The stars that night were spectacular because no light pollution.
In the late afternoon we went for a walk into the gorge which is incredibly pretty with lots of water and lots fresh water crocs! One pool is ok so we had a swim in that.
We of course had a fire pit fire that night which was lovely as we all sat around had dinner and chatted.
We couldn’t do Tunnel Creek due to a rock fall a few days earlier.
Notes 10th
Notes Bells Gorge
Very rough nearly 3 hr drive there, stopped twice for photos and included a Bush wee,King Leopold Ranges magnificent. Once arrived it is a km walk downhill over rocks and pebbles, very rough and includes a slight water crossing. When you get there a number of smallish pools or upper pools greet you and a big view down to the bottom of the gorge where there is the lower pool and a waterfall. The upper pools are cold but the lower ones are freezing! After all that work to get here all I wanted was a swim! Pragmatism won and I decided to stay at the lower pools, one person went straight back after the walk and the rest went on to the lower pool. The lower pools are freezing, the access into the water is mossy and slippery which is fine getting in but I noted they had some problems getting out. They now need to walk 20mins to get back to me and then we walk the km out. We both got a swim. I have had a lovely time dipping into the water then walking and now under the shade where my back pack is I am sitting on a rock seat I made for myself with available suitable rocks so I don’t have to sit in the sand writing this waiting for them to get back.
More scrambling over rocks and swimming! Very rough roads at time in after dark at Manning River site. Tents fixed but showers and toilets as usual distance away and hot water turned off 8pm along with lights! They turn the generator off! Will see how I go getting to the toilet my usual 4 times. Another 5.30am up breakfast at 6 and walking to Manning falls which included swimming a river and climbing over more rocks! Will see how far I go! Then another walk and swim after lunch!
Wednesday 11th
Freezing this morning and the usual 0530 wake up. Decided not to go to Manning Falls. Not keen on the cross river swim in the cold plus a rocky walk for. Km to arrive at the steep decent to the falls and swim pool and I can’t do those steep rocky descents so would have done all the hard work and no swim! . Also seen gorges and swim holes and another (easier to get to one that doesn’t require rock climbing skills 🤣) this afternoon.
The area of the Manning river here at this campsite is just a few hundred yards walk and is stunning. Wonderful to have a gentle swim and explore and even has sandy white beach! Spent a wonderful morning in the water chatting to people crossing the river to start the Walk to the Manning falls. Probably the most relaxing start to a day yet. We have been going from early to sundown every day and apparently will do for the whole trip! Whole trip is physical activity heavy and along with setting up and taking down camps, helping with meals, firewood and any other jobs. We are up before 0530 every day and finish and to bed between 2000-2100. We have had a fire pit last 2 nights and last night had roast lamb and Veges cooked in The camp oven on the fire. After dinner we usually sit around the fire for a while and get tomorrow update. We also sit around the fire in the period while dinner is cooking and have a drink. Yes we were able to order alcohol at Broome(we paid for it) and it was loaded into the truck in big eskies which we keep iced during the trip! Restriction is that drinks need to be in tin or plastic as the vibration would break glass in the sky and has been known to cause tins to break! We also went to Adcock Gorge (ok but not exciting but a truly terrible road to get into it!) and Galvins Gorge which is spectacular and I got photos of that!
Thursday 12th
Longest drive of the trip from Manning River (Mt Barnett) to el Questro over about 8hrs all bone rattling on the Gibb!
We have done a lot of driving on the Gibb river road and rough in places with some bitumen some graded and some not. The closer you get to El Questro end the rougher it got. It is bone rattling especially after a couple of hour! On the way to El Questro we stopped including at Ellenbrae Station whose claim to fame is its scones and cream! The part of the Gibb going this way was surprisingly winding in parts and the whole area is mountainous so you are going up and then down. EllenBrae is Real oasis and also does a small campsite. Apparently all the stations make their money on the tourism but are Obliged according to the lease arrangements with the state to run at least 2,000 head of cattle all the time. They all do it but just let the cattle run free with pretty much no fences or care unless the cattle prices go up (every few years) then they get them herded by helicopter and employ the bull grabbers(or some such name) who drive fast with a contraption on the vehicle which somehow grabs the bull. Sounds dangerous! The station manager and his wife are friends of Doc’s so they gave us a bit of an over view of life on the isolated stations. We had some drama when we went to leave to discover we had a flat! Doc was laying in the dust getting it done and the wood he had under the lifter thing kept sinking into the soft earth so he had to borrow more from his mate. Then when the spare was being lowered it didn’t come right down and some judicious application of WD 40 was needed. All round quite an effort but at least it was in relative civilisation with shade for us and a toilet! Again we were very fortunate. We then kept on rattling along the Gibb including a side trip the actual Gibb River, photos at Durack River and crossing and photos at the Pentecost. Earlier we had been able to see some recent rock paintings. Also unfortunately we saw quite a few dead cane toads☹️. Also went to Telstra Hill overlooking the Pentecost River. Then I to El Questro which is a pretty slick operation. The company has tents set up here and camp kitchen and the ablutions are very good and prolific relative to other sites and has hot water and power plus our first phone reception for 3 days! I up graded to a bigger tent with power (read lead with power board fed into the tent and into which are plugged a fan and a bedside light! ) It was 38 and stinking hot in the tent but the fan helped as the evening wore on. Real beds as well and a treat after camp beds and sleeping bags. We went out this morning to Zebedee springs which is a hot water spring of 3 pools, rocky and in tropical setting and easy walk in for a change😂. Spent hour or so there and it was idyllic. The off to Emma Gorge which also has Resort facility’s including a pool, restaurant shop and excellent facilities. I decided not to do the hour walk to yet another waterfall and pool when Doc said it is an ankle breaker of a walk. We have clambered over more than our fair share of rocks on the tour to the extent we are becoming part mountain goat🤣🤣. Anyway I opted for a big mug capacino and a wander through the lush gardens, shop and then laying by the pool waiting for the walkers. It was another 38 day and they were hot and exhausted! Felt I had made the right choice. We have since come back to our ElQuestro which is still hot so sitting by the river pool in the shade doing this blog since after lunch. Coolest place to be at present. 5pm we need to order our dinner as it is the cooks night off, so just pay for yourself pub food, then shower, pack for an early start again to leave for Kununurra and on to Lake Argyle which is our next overnight and to bed. Tomorrow will be a busy start as we are leaving so it is a full camp pack up not just for the day so up about 5am to achieve that! Dinner at the pub and pack. The donkey that lives here and roams free was right outside my tent about 11pm!the pub here has live music every night but thankfully stops at 8.30pm.

Ingrediente
Cartofi Charlotte 750g
unt 100g

El Questro Station is situated in Australia’s North West and covers over 700,000 acres. The closest town is Kununurra which is 120 km to the east and although the station is quite accessible you will need a 4WD to get into most places.
There are a couple of hot spots, Zebedee Thermal Springs and Emma Gorge that are both 2WD accessible and worth the drive. There are accommodation options to suit all budgets, from the exclusive luxury accommodation at the El Questro Homestead to free camping at the Cockburn Rest Area 50 km away.
Our mates making the river crossing to Moonshine Gorge near El Questro.
You can also choose your own adventure or you can let the El Questro staff take care of your itinerary with 4×4 tours, horse riding packages or helicopter drop-offs available. We’re here to guide you through a 3 day camping stay and show you the best spots and times to go.
El Questro is stunning so understandably it gets busy, so be prepared to beat the crowds or get up close and personal with your fellow travellers. Be sure to check out the El Questro website to see what live music and entertainment is happening at the bar during your stay as well.
The iconic Boab trees of the Kimberley region.
Day 1 – Settling into camp, relaxing and enjoying the sunset
So you just arrived and you’ve paid a pretty penny, but I promise it’s worth it. Entry is $22pp per week and then $22pp per night for camping, and then another $22 per night for power. Settle in amongst the trees with the creek flowing softly through your backyard.
There’s a natural bubbly spa out the back of the restaurant with a few deck chairs to kick back in. Pack a picnic and a bottle of wine and head out to Pigeon Hole Lookout for sunset. The road out is a moderate 4×4 track with a few rocky jump-ups to navigate.
Once at the top the views spread out over the Pentecost River and glowing cliffs of pink and orange. If you manage to get back to camp with a few more hours to of energy, head to the bar to enjoy some live music and a drink or two.
The Pentecost River crossing with the Cockburn Ranges in the background.
Day 2 – El Questro Gorge hike, Moonshine Gorge, and Zebedee Thermal Pool
Set your alarm with plenty of time to get to the start of the El Questro Gorge hike at sunrise. There is a creek crossing to navigate on the drive in and a snorkel is advised. The hike is a challenging 6.8 km return. It involves climbing over rocks, scaling a couple of waterfalls and getting your feet wet. The entire walk is beautiful, green and lush, and fresh clear water runs alongside you.
It’s worth the early start to take a dip in the halfway pool at El Questro Gorge.
The halfway pool is stunning and if you don’t think you can make the whole walk it would be worth it just for a swim here. The halfway pool also marks the point where things get progressively difficult and the rocks get bigger.
The waterfall at the end is like nothing else I’ve seen, which is nice to enjoy in the early hours of the morning. It also lights up in the middle of the day when the sun beams down between the gorge.
Te El Questro Gorge hike is challenging but very worthwhile.
Depending on what time you finish your hike you can hit one or two swimming holes. Zebedee Thermal Pools are open to the general public from 7 am – 12 pm, so if it’s already 11 am, head straight there. But if you have an extra half hour, go further out to Moonshine Gorge for a refreshing dip without the crowds.
The absence of other visitors may have something to do with the additional water crossing or the 10 km walk that the sign suggests. But fear not, you can walk only 200m for an awesome swim from a freshwater beach.
If you’ve got extra time, Moonshine Gorge is a quieter spot.
The best time to visit Zebedee Thermal Pool is at 11 am. It’s one of the most popular (and accessible 2WD-friendly) spots in El Questro so people tend to arrive early as the gates are opening, but everyone tends to leave in the hour leading up to when it closes at 12 pm.
If you’re lucky you may be able to score the place to yourself for 15 minutes before the exclusive tour groups rock up at 12 pm. The springs are about 24°- 28°C which gets cooler the further down steam you swim. Muscle in and get that spot at the top pool beneath the palm trees. You won’t want to leave for at least an hour.
Spend at least an hour relaxing at Zebedee Pool.
Day 3 – Emma Gorge and the Turquoise Pool
Another early morning is in order if you’re chasing photographs with no one else around. There is a constant ebb and flow of people at Emma Gorge as tour groups and families come and go. If you stay long enough you are guaranteed to get this one to yourself for a while.
Find the hot spring in the far right corner that sees through the rocks into a small dammed pool, it’s a little more comfortable than the cold water of Emma Gorge. The Turquoise Pool halfway along is also spectacular, creep up slowly and you might catch a glimpse of the freshwater crocodile that lives there. He won’t bother you if you don’t bother him, feel free to take a dip in his pool.
The Turquoise Pool at Emma Gorge won’t disappoint.
Where to next?
If you’ve gotten a taste for luxury camping here at El Questro and just want to keep the good times rolling, then I would definitely recommend heading to Lake Argyle next. Kununurra is a beautiful section of the Kimberley with so much on offer around the Ord River.
You could also travel south to the epic Punululu National Park to see the Beehives and Echidna Chasm. Hot Tip: 100 Things To See in The Kimberleys is a beautiful book that really helped us see and enjoy this whole area.
What’s the best spot you’ve visited in the Kimberley?
