Astral Tabletop PODRIA comerse a Roll20

Durante estos últimos años, mi grupito de rol ha estado usando Roll20 como alternativa para jugar partidas de Rol online. Sinceramente, es una herramienta sublime para partidas pues te permite hacer prácticamente de todo. El problema es que, como buen tiquismiquis, resulta que las funciones que busco en mis partidas son de pago. Estas son:

Iluminación dinámica

Hojas de Personaje customizables (o lo que es lo mismo, para juegos custom)

Botonera Automatizada

Y es una verdadera lastima que no pueda usar eso porque, como master novato, me limita MUCHO a la hora de jugar partidas. Ya que tengo que aferrarme a algún sistema en concreto (que en según que genero de la partida es jugar a sistemas complejisimos) o tirar de PDF cada uno en su casa y no tener esa "implementacion automatica" de la que tanto se caracteriza una plataforma como esta.

Para mi siempre han sido idas y venidas en partidas creadas que, segun las hacia, las dejaba a medias por frustracion ante tantas ataduras. Hasta que un buen dia, me encontre este post que describia un VTT (Virtual Table Top) llamado "Astral".

Una venida "Astral"

Me pongo a investigar un poco y me encuentro una plataforma Gratuita (con opcion a pago mensual) que me da, literalmente, todo lo que necesito. TODO, desde la iluminacion dinamica (basica) hasta poder hojas dentro sin necesidad de saber ni una pizca de codigo. Todo respaldado por una wiki documentada de una forma explendida donde te explican basicamente todo lo necesario.

Segun me hago la cuenta, me hace un tutorial muy basico de como hacer una partida, invitar a gente y jugar. Una puñetera maravilla en mi opinion

En esta foto se refleja como hace las hojas, pues es basicamente arrastrar el tipo de campo que quieres (una accion o boton, una estadistica, un marcador o una linea de texto) y configurarlo ayudandote de la wiki o del post arriba mencionado.

Sin complejos

Lo mas asombroso de la plataforma es como puede ser extremadamente simple si quieres jugar y ya, o extremadamente compleja si eres un master que se lo curra. Desde copiar tu mapa, ajustar la cuadricula y a tirar hasta ponerle paredes, objetos, zonas interactuables para los jugadores, pdf/ayudas, musica, etc... Es tan complejo como tu quieras hacerlo.

Por desgracia, es por ahora relativamente nuevo y los desarrolladores son solo 3 personas, asi que avanza lento pero seguro. Lo que meten funciona, se nota que no es una ñapa temporal y es algo que se agradece en estos productos, sobretodo si pagas la mensualidad.

Hablando de la mensualidad, su sistema de pago se puede resumir en desbloquear mas iluminaciones (que si niebla venenosa, que si fuego, lluvias,  filtros de imagen a lo western, etc...). Mas espacio de almacenamiento, acceder a mapas creados por la comunidad y capacidad ilimitada de guardar cosas. Un sistema muy generoso para el jugador gratuito pues pagas por cosas utiles pero nunca capa la experiencia base para “obligarte” a pagar. Si lo pagas es porque o te gusta tenerlo todo o llevas usando bastante la plataforma y se te hace corta.

Como de la familia

Sin duda lo mas bonito de todo esto es su comunidad. Ya no solo el foro, sino como muestra sus avances mediante videos de youtube, o el acceso al Discord, donde puedes hablar directamente con los desarrolladores sin necesidad de formularios ni muros virtuales. Son como tu o como yo, no reyes respaldados por guardias/administradores que hablan por ellos.

El sistema es simple, ¿Se te ocurre alguna idea? pues ponla en el foro, si la idea cuaja la gente la vota. cuantos mas votos mas prioridad le daran o la aceptaran como lista de cosas para hacer.

Pero bueno, lo demas ya es verlo por ti mismo. Puedes acceder a Astral desde El Link Oficial de Astral Tabletop. 

Es muy recomendable que te mires tambien la wiki oficial si tienes alguna duda.
