Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Zack Fair Character Enhancement Board

The Character Enhancement Boards feature was just introduced in the Dissidia Final Fantasy (#ad): Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. The tiles on this Board buff the abilities of characters, making them even more powerful. 

Side note: This is yet another one of those old drafts I finally managed to finish editing, so it’s now ready to be scheduled for publication.

Character Enhancement Boards Details

To complete a character’s Enhancement Board, you need a total of 5,000 points. You can get these points just by playing through the latest content in the game.

The Board has 3 sections. One section is for the first ability of a chara, another is for their second skill, and the third is for their Ex. 

In order to complete the section that corresponds to the char’s first skill, you will need to acquire their Crystal Level 55 passive as well as the passive from their 15cp weapon.

For the section that corresponds to their second skill, you’re required to have their Crystal Level 60 passive and the passive from their 35cp weapon. To complete the section that corresponds to the character’s Ex move, you will need to have them Purpled or at Ex+ 3/3.  

After finishing a char’s Board, you get access to treasure chests that contain voice lines. However, unfortunately, this has yet to be implemented in the global or English version of DFFOO. 

This means that, for now, it will be impossible to master anyone’s Board. You can already get all the passives that buff a char’s skills, but the Board won’t show as finished since the contents of the chests can’t be obtained yet.     

Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII 

In the beginning, only a few charas will get their Boards. The first batch of characters includes Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (#ad) and Final Fantasy VII.

Currently, he’s my favorite character here in Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, so I was very pleased to find out that he’ll be one of the first to get an Enhancement Board.

Ever since I heard about this feature and that Zack already has one in the Japanese version of the game, my plan was always for him to be the first one whose Board I would master.

I looked forward to the day that this feature would show up in the game. Now that time has finally come. 

Wings at the Ready: Sanctuary Keeper Raid

The Wings at the Ready: Sanctuary Keeper Raid is the first event that gives the points needed to master a character’s Enhancement Board. You’re limited to 5,000 points per event. This means that after you obtain 5,000 points from this raid, you won’t get any more even if you keep repeating quests like the co-op.

I played through all but one of the available quests in this event. The Cosmos co-op was the one I kept repeating, so I could get the rewards. I have yet to do the Chaos fight though it’s on my to-do list.

Just playing through this event like I usually do for all events in this game gave me the points I needed to max my first Enhancement Board. 

At the end of every quest in the Wings at the Ready: Sanctuary Keeper Raid, the Battle Results screen showed how many points I acquired, but, as usual, I hardly paid attention to said screen, so I don’t know the exact number of points you can get per fight. 

I do know the number is different depending on the battle level. AFAIK, you can get more points from doing a Cosmos-level fight as opposed to doing one that’s only Ex-level.

Zack Fair Enhancement Board

Now that I have the 5,000 points I needed, I was ready to max Zack’s Enhancement Board. The Enhancement Board looks similar to the Summon Boards. 

For Zack, you have to start on the Mighty Chain Slash LV 1 tile. You’re required to unlock that first before being able to get to the other tiles.

Some tiles will also have a lock icon. If you fulfill the appropriate requirements, these tiles will be opened and you can continue unlocking the rest of the tiles. 

My Zack is double Purple. He is at max level and at Crystal Level 70. I have all the passives from all of his weapons. 

So all I needed to do was hit the auto button and confirm that I wanted to unlock all these tiles. I had to do this several times because each time, the auto function would unlock tiles until it reached a locked one. 

Then I would get a message telling me I’ve fulfilled the requirements needed to unlock said tile. I’d also get a message showing me the passives that I managed to unlock.

Soon, I was able to unlock everything until only the 3 treasure chests remained. Since the chests can’t be claimed yet, Zack is stuck at 100/103 tiles completed.

Here’s a list of all the new passives Zack obtained from this Board:

Mighty Chain Slash LV9 - Increases BRV damage dealt with Chain Slash by 20%

Chain Slash BRV Attack Advance LV9 - Stolen BRV from Chain Slash may exceed MAX BRV up to 20%

Mighty Chain Slash Target LV9 - When using Chain Slash, increase BRV damage dealt by 10% when targeted by enemy

Chain Slash BRV Up - 10% boost to BRV from Chain Slash  

Buff Attack Up - Boosts ATK by 10% with active buff   

BRV Attack+ Up - Increases BRV damage dealt with BRV Attack+ by 20%

Mighty Rush Assault LV9 - Increases BRV damage dealt with Rush Assault by 20%

Rush Assault BRV Attack Advance LV9 - Stolen BRV from Rush Assault may exceed MAX BRV up to 20%

Mighty Rush Assault Target LV9 - When using Rush Assault, increase BRV damage dealt by 10% when targeted by enemy

Rush Assault BRV Up - 10% boost to BRV from Rush Assault       

Rush Assault Boost Up - When using Rush Assault, boost MAX BRV Up by 10%   

HP Attack+ Up - 20% boost to BRV from HP Attack+   

Mighty Apocalypse LV9 - Increases BRV damage dealt with Apocalypse by 10%

Apocalypse BRV Attack Advance LV9 - Stolen BRV from Apocalypse may exceed MAX BRV up to 20%

Apocalypse BRV Up LV9 - Increases BRV gained with Apocalypse by 10%

Buff Attack Up II - Boosts ATK by 10% with active buff   

Buff Boost Up - Boosts MAX BRV by 10% with active buff  

BRV Attack++ HP Attack++ Up - Increases BRV damage dealt with BRV Attack++ by 20%, 20% boost to BRV from HP Attack++      

After getting all these passives, I went to equip them. The Board gave additional CP so Zack went from 410 CP to 560. Thankfully, there was enough CP for him to equip everything.  

I’m really pleased to see Zack with all these new passives. Can’t wait to take him to a Chaos-level fight. I think I’ll try doing the Wings at the Ready: Sanctuary Keeper Raid Chaos quest with him in my party.   

It’s too bad that Zack’s Enhancement Board doesn’t say mastered or completed yet because of the missing treasure chests. 

I hope we can get these voice lines soon. I’m actually looking forward to hearing Zack’s Japanese voice lines and seeing the English translation or subtitles.
