Do you like any celebrities who is out of all your tops, but you still respect them? Who are they, if it's not a secret?
Tumblr media
It sounds rediculous, but I have top 10 of outtops :)
1. Daisy May Cooper
Some people don’t like her on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Me too. Although she’s a cute girl, looks very vivid. But you know what? She’s actually very nice person. I’m following her on instagram for a long time, but only recently watched her account. She’s extremely different from TV! She can make quite useful stuff! She isn’t silly! For example, I remember she made a reel where she loudly says “No” This video was for the case if your self anxiety tries to get you, just say NO! It’s actually works! And I have noticed in some shows that she calms down people when they get nervous. Quite possibly that she’s a psychologist. I respect this people!
Tumblr media
2. Oasis/Gallagher Brothers
2 beautiful men having great vocals. This band is one of the first when I started my interests to Brit Pop and indie music :)
Tumblr media
3. Vic & Bob
I genually thank this couple for Slade, at least now I know who they were :D Also thank the for the Shooting Stars! In addition to sketches, it is worth to note how much funny they are apart. Bob Mortimer is an example of this on any show. It's really impossible to listen to him without a smile, he's just an incredibly crazy and funny person. He's crazy stories always killing ;D What can I say about Vic Reeves. I don't see him on the shows so much as Bob, but I think he's not worse than him at all. And both they are power!
Tumblr media
4. Ant & Dec
Oh, this men! :) Some people know them as singers, but I know them as crazy and funny showmen. Their pranks are awesome, always laughing watching them in youtube. Their laugh make me laughing also, so genuine and contagious and they staing beautiful ;D
Tumblr media
5. Stephen Mangan
It's hard for me to call myself his fan. But there is something attractive about this guy. I don't even know. Probably some charisma, personality. I like him being on the shows :)
Tumblr media
6. Morgana Robertson
I found out about her in Taskmaster. She reminds me Noel a bit. She also plays different characters and doing different voices. She has beautiful big eyes and her smile makes her wobderful. Also loves giggling, smiling, laughing and being adorable :)
Tumblr media
7. James Acaster
He became my favourite when firstly debuted as a member in NMTB. He was on the top for the ages. But now he isn’t. Yeah, I still watch the shows with he’s partition. But after his jokes in new NMTB about Noel who couldn’t be there for some reason, he was out. Probably, he joked, but I found it quite mean. I watched this episode with sad feeling that I was deeply disappointed in him. I doubt that he’ll ever be on my top 20 again. Only out of the tops.
Tumblr media
8. Michael Patrick Kelly
The only celeb who is almost not English speaking and I like him. He is an Irish-America singer, musician and composer. Speaks mostly German. Kelly was born in Dublin. He came to fame as the third-youngest member of the pop and folk band The Kelly Family. He was well known as one of the main and popular members in the family band (Paddy at this period) After the band he still gorgeous and having a beautiful voice with the light accent.
Tumblr media
9. Katherine Ryan
The most bitchy celebrity I know. She is beautiful and at the same time quite harsh. I respect her for being drop dead gorgeous. And her humor is nice ;) Thanks Mock The Week for let me find out about her more :)
Tumblr media
10. Jonathan Sprague
Was The Jon in Steam Powered Giraffe. This band is a pantomime music project, something like steam punk clowns. Jon was a silly doll with cylinder hat. But after leaving the band he become a normal guy. And he is the most straight character of all the members of his band. And I think he looks beautiful :)

John Quentin Wesley, age 93 of Morganfield, KY went home peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Quentin believed the promise of eternal life and that Jesus has prepared a home for him in heaven (John 14:2-4). He was born on October 29, 1929 at the very start of the Great Depression. Times were hard. He did not have an official birth certificate until 1964. With God’s grace, he and his 5 siblings endured a rural life in Sturgis, KY.
After graduating from Sturgis High School in 1948, Quentin attended Bob Jones University 1948-1949 in Greenville, SC. After one year, he transferred to Western Kentucky University where he was on the track team. He went on to law school at UK. While in Lexington, he met the love of his life, Hildegarde Taylor from Hardinsburg, KY. They married in 1955 and had 4 children. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1965 as Captain. While based at Wright Patterson, he worked on contracts for the B52 bomber.
Quentin practiced law for 50 years in a bustling office on Court St. across from the courthouse. Mr. Wesley represented the people of his community with honor and compassion. He was dedicated to his beloved community and answered the call to serve. Quentin utilized his popularity and his integrity to serve in many positions. Early in his professional years, he presided as Sturgis Kiwanis club president and served on the Henderson Community advisory board. He served as Morganfield City Attorney for 25 years and Union County Attorney. He represented the U.C. Board of Education for 50 years and the U.C. Water District. Quentin was selected Union County Judge Pro-Tem. In 1968 he was elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives and represented his constituents of the 7th district at the State Capital in Frankfort and served on the Executive Branch Ethics Committee. He was a Commonwealth Attorney. Quentin served on the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway for 8 years. Mr. Wesley was a Charter Life Fellow of the Kentucky Bar Association.
Through his education, military service, community service, and career, he traveled and collected many friends along the way. He and Hildegarde loved to travel. Their destinations included China and Russia. He and Hildegarde enjoyed driving across the country to see the wonders of this country he so loved; always returning to realize his blessings in Union County. On many occasions he proudly drove around “to look at crops”. Quentin was devoted to his faith. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Morganfield, where he led an adult men’s Bible study class for 50 years. In recent years, he helped with children’s vacation Bible school and facilitated the construction of the steeple on the existing sanctuary in Morganfield.
Quentin enjoyed the game of golf and cherished his regular golfing buddies. He planted many of the trees, bushes, and flowers by hand at the Breckinridge Golf Club. He wanted to preserve the course’s beauty for future generations of golfers. Quentin was a fan of all sports. He followed the Union County Braves, UK Wildcats, Oakland Raiders, and the Cincinnati Reds. Uncle Quentin adored all of his nieces and nephews. He kept up with their lives and supported their interests. He was always proud of their many accomplishments. He appreciated that his family frequently came to visit to just catch up on current events and news of family members.
Quentin is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ray Wesley and Roberta Wynn Wesley; 2 brothers, Bob Wesley and wife Ida and Bo Wesley and wife Lillian; 3 sisters, Mary Cowan and husband Fred, Kas Sprague and husband A.D., and Susie Davis and husband Bob.

Don Marshall
Tumblr media
Donald James Marshall (May 2, 1936 – October 30, 2016) was an American actor best known for his role as Dan Erickson in the television show Land of the Giants.
Early life
Marshall was born on May 2, 1936, to Alama Marashall in San Diego. He lived with his mother and his maternal grandmother, Leola Williams, his two older sisters and his twin brother (Douglas). He graduated high school from San Diego High School in 1954. While studying engineering between 1956 and 1957, he was encouraged to try acting by a friend, Peter Bren. Marshall was still in the army at this time, but later studied acting at the Bob Gist Dramatic Workshop, while undertaking a course in Theatre Arts at Los Angeles City College. While at college, he was a pole vaulter on the track team.
Career
1960s
Marshall's first professional role was in a 1962 Columbia Studios feature The Interns in an uncredited role. In 1964, he was in Shock Treatment, another uncredited role. Also in 1964, Marshall took the role of Chris Logan, playing opposite Nichelle Nichols in CBS Repertoire Workshop episode titled "Great Gettin' Up Mornin'", a made-for-TV-movie about an African-American family preparing their children for their first day at a racially integrated school in America's south. That same year, Nichols played Marshall's fiancée in a controversial episode of Gene Roddenberry's series The Lieutenant. In 1965, Marshall appeared in a pilot for a series Premiere in the episode "Braddock". In 1966 he appeared as the recurring character of Luke in Daktari.
Later in the 1960s he appeared in Roddenberry's next series, Star Trek portraying Lt. Boma in the episode "The Galileo Seven" (1967). Other TV series he appeared in were Tarzan (the series with Ron Ely), Dragnet 1967, and Ironside. In 1968, he appeared as Ted Neumann, the recurring love interest of Julia Baker, in the television series Julia, a series about an African-American widow raising her son on her own.
Land of the Giants
As a result of appearing in Premiere in the episode "Braddock", the actor met Irwin Allen, leading to Marshall gaining his role in Land of the Giants, in which he performed alongside Gary Conway, Don Matheson, Kurt Kasznar, Stefan Arngrim, Deanna Lund and Heather Young. The series, created by Irwin Allen, featured Marshall as a competent African-American in a leading role. This was also a first for an African American male in the 1960s to be featured so prominently in science fiction. The only other African American actors to be in such a position in the 1960s were Nichelle Nichols, known for her role as Lt. Uhura in the TV series Star Trek, and Greg Morris as electronics expert Barney Collier in Mission: Impossible.
On set, the actors had to perform many of their own stunts and Marshall's athleticism was an asset, he credited his previous football, track and pole vaulting work that helped him with the stunts required. In one of the episodes, "Ghost Town", while diving over a fire, Marshall actually dislocated his shoulder and the next day they had to shoot new scenes with Marshall's arm in a sling. Another episode "Giants and All That Jazz" that featured former world champion boxer Sugar Ray Robinson as Biff Bowers and Mike Mazurki as Loach, where Marshall had to teach Biff Bowers how to play the trumpet was one that Marshall in his own words calls "Beautiful" seems to be a favorite of his and made him want to act rather than follow or figure out what dialogue to use or say. He also says that actors had a better time on the set when Irwin Allen wasn't on the set. When he was it was very different and people would get uptight.
In later years Marshall wrote a script for a sequel to the series called Escape from a Giant Land. He hoped that it would be a big screen production and would feature as many original cast members as possible.
1970s
Marshall had a role in the made-for-TV-movie The Reluctant Heroes, aka The Egghead on Hill 656 (1971), a film that was directed by Robert Day. This was a war film set in the Korean War with men under a newly commissioned lieutenant who are trapped on a hill surrounded by the enemy. His character as Pvt. Carver LeMoyne was subject to continual racial abuse by Cpl. Leroy Sprague (Warren Oates). The film also starred Ken Berry, Jim Hutton, Ralph Meeker, Cameron Mitchell and Trini Lopez.
Marshall was subsequently cast in the role of Dr. Fred Williams in the science-fiction horror exploitation film The Thing with Two Heads (1972) which starred Ray Milland and Rosey Grier. This was a tale about a wealthy and racist white man who has his head transplanted onto the body of a black prisoner from death row. In 1974, he was cast in Uptown Saturday Night as Slim's Henchman. In 1976, he played the part of Captain Colter in an episode of The Bionic Woman and in 1979 he was in a two-part episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century as Julio. From 1978 to 1980, Marshall was in three episodes of The Incredible Hulk.
1980–2016
In the 1980s, Marshall had few roles, appearing occasionally in episodes of Little House on the Prairie as Caleb Ledoux, as Doctor Jim Blair in Finder of Lost Loves and as Senator Ed Lawrence in Capitol. In 1992 he played the concierge in the Paul Schneider directed made-for-TV-movie Highway Heartbreaker. Marshall has often stated that he was proud of his work on Little House. In 2011, he was in Pioneers of Television as Pvt. Ernest Cameron in archival footage from the episode titled "To Set It Right" in 1964's The Lieutenant for PBS.
After he retired from acting, Marshall set up his own company called DJM Productions, Inc., which produced television commercials and documentary films. He was popular with Star Trek fans as he was a Star Trek convention regular.

Gail Iris (Steeves) Washburn, 75, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side after a long illness with Parkinson's and Dementia.
She was born in Waterville, Maine, on June 20, 1947, to Willard and June Steeves. She graduated from Clinton High School and then went on to receive a degree in History and English from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. After college she became a teacher and taught in Boothbay Harbor. She left teaching to take on a few part time jobs including delivering mail for the post office as well as working at McDonalds. She ended her career by retiring from the post office after many years of service as a full time carrier in Oakland, Maine.
Gail was a funny, lively and intelligent person with a love of adventure, whether that was learning a new skill or craft or taking road trips with family for picnics in old forgotten graveyards or to "just get lost". She loved reading and studying. She mapped out her family's genealogy meticulously by visiting graveyards and town halls across the region. She loved riding to Lobster Lane Book Store to see if she could find her favorite authors. She had a great passion for children and shared her excitement for life with them through books as well as her love of horses. She spent many years working with children and horses at Camp Fairhaven in Brooks where she was able to minister to them through counseling and horseback riding. She was an active member of Clinton Baptist Church where over the years she taught many Sunday School classes as well as coached the volleyball team for the Christian School.
Gail's love for children was evident in the way she doted on her nieces and loved them like they were her own children. She shared her excitement for life with them by sharing her love of books, movies, horses, and late night swimming adventures in the summer. She was sometimes strict and firm, but she also had a very tender and sensitive side.
Gail is survived by her husband of 31 years, Scott Washburn; son, Joshua Washburn and wife Andrea and their children, Aiden and EveLynn of Yorkville, Illinois; her daughter, Lacey Kilby and her son, Michael Kilby Jr of Edmunds TWP; her three sisters: Dale "Tootsie" Morin and husband Steve of Falmouth, Jill Sprague of Lincolnville, and Anne Lowe and husband Craig of Unity; four nieces: June "JJ", Erin, Ina, and Morgan and their families, including many great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Woody Steeves; father, Willard Steeves; mother, June Kaska; and son-in-law, Michael Kilby Sr.
A celebration of life will be held at the Clinton Baptist Church on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11 a.m., with visiting from 10-11 a.m., including a light lunch and gathering following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Clinton Baptist Church, PO Box 1, Clinton, ME, 04927.

(how) do you inherit powers?
a Heroes theory post
to preface this - i know there's the 'powers are based off of personality and/or need'- theory, i mean Daphne literally says exactly this in one scene, but just on the off-chance there's any pattern to how powers are inherited, i'm going to try & find that. now.....
[EDIT: under a cut bc this got long af]
offspring of two powered parents who was born w/ a power:
Peter Petrelli
Claire Bennet (though her father was synthed)
Hiro Nakamura
Micah Sanders (though his mother was synthed)
Amanda Strazzulla [assuming her father to be Edgar, as implications suggest]
Jennie Bowman
offspring of one powered parent (the other either a normie or not known) who was born w/ a power:
Gabriel ‘Sylar’ Gray (father, Samson Gray)
Matt Parkman (father, Maury Parkman)
Molly Walker (father, James Walker)
Elle Bishop (father, Bob Bishop)
D.L. Hawkins (mother, Paulette Hawkins)
René & Samedi (father, Guillame)
Matt Parkman Jr. (father, Matt Parkman)
Ted Sprague (mother, Mindy Sprague)
Maury Parkman (mother, Edith Parczak)
Abigail (father, Claude Rains)
offspring of normie parents (or 1 normie + 1 unknown) who was born w/ a power:
Shanti Suresh
Luke Campbell
Emma Coolidge (though her uncle (mother's side) had a power, the same as hers in fact)
offspring of at least one powered parent who are (apparently) a 'power dud' = born w/ no powers:
Nathan Petrelli
Simon & Monty Petrelli (though their powered parent was synthed)
Simone Devaux
Noah Gray
Penny Logan
and now, for comparison reasons - all known bio-siblings of whom at least one had a power (here also included: those whose parents' status is 100% unknown), older sibling first:
Nathan & Peter
Shanti & Mohinder
Kimiko & Hiro
Meredith & Flint
Samedi & René
Angela & Alice
Joseph & Samuel
——————————————
now - in how many cases did someone’s inherited power at least kind of match one of their parent(s)’s powers, and in how many did it not at all?
5 matching-ish cases (Peter, Sylar, Matt, Maury, Jennie)
11 non-matching cases (Claire, Hiro, Micah, Amanda, Elle, Molly, D.L., René, Samedi, Matt Jr., Abigail)
2 debatable cases (Ted (his mother could absorb and release energy - is that ‘similar’ enough?) and Emma (it does seem to run in the family))
that’s not a strong basis for claiming they’re inherited, even though really - we have waaay too little date to even make proper assumptions [not to mention we don’t even know both parents in many cases where i just went ahead and assume only one was powered].
and the siblings aren’t much better - considering only one set has ‘matching’ powers, and it’s basically 50-50 on whether both even have any powers.
in summary - the is no cohesive theory/principle that i can find, so going w/ the ‘personality or need’ theory, random-ness or simple plot convenience is probably best for now

Tiptoeing through the “False Flag” guest cast

Enjoy the season finale.  This is always fun to do.  If things work out the way they have the in past, the season premiere should be September 29th so tiptoeing resumes around September 24th.

6/28/43 Dear Mom,  Received your latest air mail letter this morning.   Tickled to hear that Pete got the $20.00 (1) prize. If I remember correctly, Gene Wells and I used to coach Pete along the lines of “don’t try to [sic] hard to get good marks your first year, but work harder as you go along.” I think the improvement prize is of more value in lots of ways than some of the others. Especially after hearing some of the stories Pete told about Freddy (2) taking books to math exams to make sure he got the correct answer.  I really feel sort of sorry for Phil (3). He is more or less in the wrong thing. The infantry would have been a much better branch for him. If Phil was in the infantry, he would now have at least a Tech Sergeant’s (4) rating. That is, if he was a line soldier. That clerical line is very poor in any branch. Bob Tripp (5) was right when he said he had reached the acme of his career. He won’t go any higher unless they send him to administration school, and I rather doubt that. But they may. I was surprised that they would even consider him for a W.O. (6) With the influx of WAACs (7) into the army, Phil may lose his job in the office and eventually get to be a soldier. (You see, infantry doesn’t  consider these clerical guys soldiers at all.) Since I’ve ben around the army a while, I’ve found out a few things about these ratings and various branches of the service. For instance, the infantry has an A-1 priority on the best physical specimens. Therefor, just because a man goes into air corps ground crew is no sign that he is smarter than a man picked for the infantry. Chances are, his physical condition won’t stand infantry. (Example--Greg Hurd (8)) This is about the way the army, i.e. the men themselves, rate the branches. Toughest, best trained, and the best fighting men - 1) Paratroopers 2) Rangers 3) Infantry 4) Marines. Of course there is some argument about the position of the Marines. The truth about them is this. They receive exactly the same training as the plain infantry soldier but have a better press agent. In Guadalcanal (9), one regiment of infantry, (the 164th, mostly from Mass (10)) took the offensive and cleaned up, where practically a whole division of Marines had merely made a landing and been on the defensive ever after. Of course, that’s not the newspaper story and no Marines would ever admit that. But that is official.  The air corps, both army and navy are rated high, but in a field by themselves. Field artillery and tank corps comes next. Then the medics. That’s not the doctors, but the enlisted men who go around the battlefield and carry you back to the doctors. Speaking of the medical corps (11) in general, most army men have no use for them. They all remind me too much of Everett (12). Whereas a good infantry officer will never say anything to you if you miss a salute once in a while, these damn doctors and dentists who never had any real infantry training will call you on it every time. Look at the difference between Lt. Sprague in the platoon picture and E.F.L. (13). No comparison. Coast artillery is the “old maid’s home” and clerical workers are considered to be the lowest form of mankind.  Of course, all that is speaking in a general sense. Phil Cofenn (14), I think, got stuck. He would make an excellent combat non-com. Not too smart, but Phil has a good degree of common sense and he is used to an active life. The best non-coms at Croft were all country boys.  This outfit that I am in will undoubtedly be looked down upon sometime soon. [some antisemitism that I refuse to transcribe, but you can read in the photo]. Right now we are known as “a picked group,” “the best brains in the army,” “the superintelligent,” and so on.  It’s true that we are all picked on the basis of our I.Q.’s and other exams, but after the war people will probably say “pull.” That is one reason I want to stay in the army for a while after the war. Then no one can say “You took the easiest way out.” People soon forget the truth. As a matter of fact, there are three of us here who were picking the toughest outfits. Charlie Dunham (15) volunteered for the paratroopers, but he was ordered here. “Red” Johnston and myself both volunteered for the Rangers but were ordered here. And there are many others from Rangers, Paratroopers, Mts Troops, etc. All were sent here because of apparent intelligence. Consequently, in order to maintain our respect as soldiers we have to do twice as much as some of the rest.  Well, I guess this is long enough for now. Please don’t repeat too much of this. Some of it (regarding Guadalcanal) is military information of the first degree and I shouldn’t even write about it I suppose.  Love,  Henry (1) $293.22 (2) There’s a last name later in the letter, but it’s not yielding any hits  (3) Don’t know who he is either.  (4) Non-commissioned officer rating - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_sergeant (5) Can’t find any relevant links based on this name other than that he lived in Epsom in 1940 and was born in 1912.  (6) Warrant Officer - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warrant_officer (7) Woman’s Army Corps - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%27s_Army_Corps (8) Who was in the Air Corps and also a cattle breeder - https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/unionleader/obituary.aspx?n=gregory-hurd&pid=140029850 (9) The site of a major WWII campaign in the Solomon Islands - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guadalcanal_campaign (10)  Confirmed, partially via Wiki (which has it as a midwest regiment) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/164th_Infantry_Regiment (11) see - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_Corps_(United_States_Army) (12) No idea if this is a first or last name (13) Maybe Everett’s initials? Unclear (14) I may have deciphered this wrong as it’s not giving me any hits.  (15) Not getting any relevant hits, though there was a young woman with the last name murdered in the 60s.

The 13 Best Out This World Podcasts of 2019.
Tumblr media
As 2019 comes to a close the one thing that stands out in the Fortean world is UFOs and how they went mainstream this year. No longer relegated to blogs and the History Channel, news outlets like CNN, Fox, The Times, and so many more have placed UFO related stories on the forefront of their news. From the Navy announcing new UFO reporting processes, to storming Area 51, everyone was talking about the subject.
One medium that was ahead of the curve and has taken the subject seriously for a long time is podcasting. There is no shortage of shows that focus on the UFO phenomenon, but some stand out above all the others. The best shows covering this topic are fun, informative, and bingeworthy. They tell you the story, lay out the facts, and have some laughs along the way.
With that in mind, here are the 13 best “Out Of This World” podcasts that you should be listening to right now.

Brent and John’s dedication as researchers specializing in UFO and Paranormal topics has helped turn Hysteria 51 into a household name in the “world of the weird”.
