Chase and Bobby for numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, mostly 19, 23 and 25.
( Send me a number and an OC
1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?
For both of them it would probably be one of the big climactic moments of Bowman of Wellwood, the story they originate from. Most people here probably already know it but I'll keep it vague in case there's some out there that have yet to be spoiled. Needless to say it was traumatic for all involved.
2. What’s something about your OC that people wouldn’t expect just from looking at them?
For Chase, people underestimate how good a liar he is, which only helps him sell the ruse. For Bobby, I think people wouldn't expect his temper. He jumps to frustration pretty fast when he doesn't get his way, exactly his way (it's something he knows to work on as he gets out of his teen years).
3. What is your OC’s fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?
Chase: Very impulsive, aware of it, and unsure how to stop.
Bobby: The aforementioned temper. Not super aware of it outside of moments when he's getting angry about something.
5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
Chase would back down if things got too dark or heavy. Bobby needs to have that sense knocked into him, so he tends to go farther to get things (it comes from a place of extreme privilege; he's used to getting what he wants, but he's capable of listening and learning).
8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?
No
10. What’s an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?
Trick question, if I'm exploring an AU it's because I found it interesting. This could probably be a whole discussion on its own, though Chase has a couple fun AUs floating around this blog already!
12. Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?
Chase could be considered a little self-destructive, probably. He's all impulse, very little consideration of long term consequences. He's going with the flow, which is good to a point. He needs more level-headed people to remind him to stay on track sometimes. Bobby's probably not that self-destructive? He's selfish but he doesn't fall into things that'd be harmful long term.
15. Does your OC have a faceclaim? If so, who?
I don't really have any faceclaims for either of them, no. Probably should try to find some.
17. What is the worst thing you have put your OC through story-wise?
Chase's worst time was probably in the Brothers Lost Supernatural AU with @nightmares06, in which we had him captured by the Hellhounds Ed and Harry, and subsequently hotboxed in their RV. He has asthma. Don't smoke around him.
I suppose so far the worst thing I've ever written for Bobby was getting possessed by a demon in a different Supernatural AU with nightmares06. What can we say, we put everyone through some stuff! No one is safe.
19. How does your OC behave when enraged?
I almost can't imagine Chase enraged? I don't think I'll know until I have occasion to write it. Bobby gets very entitled and myopic.
23. What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?
They're young men who grew up in the US. The world around them has given them all the wrong lessons for how to process and express sadness. It's one thing to say they know "Boys don't cry" is bullshit, it's another to live by it. Luckily they have Jacob around, who is a really good example for how to process and express emotions.
25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?
Chase is a total goober with a knack for talking himself into and sometimes out of trouble. I never know what I'm gonna come up with for him next lol.
Bobby's not one of my favorite OCs, but he at least isn't as one dimensional as I used to think. He's insufferable in some ways and always has a strong chance of making the exact wrong decision, but he can learn.

I remembered your post about dead kin sprouting life from them, and that made me think. Could the wandering nightmares come from the same thing? The picture of stuff growing out of the dead kin in Byrgenwerth made me think of them. I assume that the bloodstones you get from them would probably be the only "kin" part of the kin that's actually left. Maybe they're the end product of a dead kin? It may make sense as to why you find so many in the nightmare frontier. Looking at the concept art, they also seem to have eyes growing out of them, or at least the large ones do. Looking closer at the skulls, a few of them also seem sorta similar to the labyrinth madmen. Actually, looking closer at the concept art, the big ones appear to have some sort of mouth coming out of their backs. Looking at it that way, it almost looks like a bearded head.
!!!!!!!! Bobbie, your brain is HUGE! This is a really good observation, and by now I don't even have an idea how came that I forgot about Wandering Nightmares in that post! + I am going to add the post and the image in question for the context just in case:
Basically for all two of my new followers, IN THE PREVIOUS EPISODE we concluded that the skulls are likely part of the curse and this sort of 'pollution' might have been the reasoning for snake infestation too. But the 'curse' is a lot of spirits of the dead lingering within the blood of humanity (and Pthumerity):
Themes of "superior" being born atop, or upon merging, variety of "lesser" lifeforms are also in the design of Kin like Brain of Mensis (made out of many melted corpses and some Micolash's hair because BB's lore is very normal) or Winter Lanterns (with their heads being many melted Messengers)! As for Kin being born by using humans as surrogates, the cord Arianna drops and Annalise's purpose also offer some Insight (🥁) on it:
Worth mentioning again that Annalise did have a Great One infant herself ( x ), and the implication here is kinda plain again. Blood Echoes are actually 'dying wills' in Japanese, mostly Hunters kill them because they absorb the most 'spirits' through the hunt, Blood Dregs even look like many sperm cells yet having small faces, and Vilebloods are more fit for carrying a Great One infant because their blood is especially full of this.. "energy".
^ There is a reason to think that maybe Wandering Nightmares are connected with these guys; either could not petrify, or broke free of petrification! And honestly normally I'd stop here, but your idea on what Wandering Nightmares are is MUCH more interesting and morbid! Basically you're saying that they are dead Kin, and amalgamation of skulls is the spirits within trying to tear free from being stuck like this. With the fetus we find at Byrgenwerth, the skulls are kinda tiny and frozen, saved the torment that Wandering Nightmares apparently are experiencing. Can't perish to give a way to a new lifeform, can't JUST peris, and also can't become free spirits and be set free.
I've also noticed just now that one of the faces on smaller Wandering Nightmare has a similar structure to enemies Giant Lost Child, who are found exclusively in the Nightmare realm too! But actually you might have just helped me to find a good explanation on WHY they are said to have been abandoned at birth! They could have been early Pthumerian (Loran?) experiments on carrying a divine infant, but were born no human/Pthumerians, nor Kin, and thus discarded as "failures"! I was thinking that the reason Mergo's real body is a Lithopedion, stuck within mother's womb is lacking 'circulation' of curses and spirits within the blood at that era that is now "fixed" since humanoids have been doing blood and hunt for a while since Pthumeru Ihyll and Loran. Now, this might add substance to it, so thank you!
The large variant DOES have a few eyes even in the ingame model, although not as easy to see as they are on the concept art!
There is also a video that offers a better look:
AND it seems like the implication is there for small variants too:
These skull-like spirits do not have eyes, nor do their way more 'physical' forms erupting, so... yeah, I agree that the eyes on their "bodies" are meant to be the Insight-eyes, not THEIR eyes. Heck, don't forget about Ludwig's interesting transformation as well, with his second mouth being full of eyes now!
Large Wandering Nightmares DO have a functioning gigantic shared mouth on their backs, yes. It is visible more in the video I've shared! Damn.. I feel even more validated about my idea that Ludwig's transformation is all on his own rather than being fused with a horse! He himself functions not unlike these Wandering Nightmares with sprouting 'physical' eyes and multiple chaotically-placed legs that are not a thing any other beast has, yet coincidentally what Wandering Nightmares have!

I can't believe I forgot to ask this omg.
Does Bobby have any siblings or he just an only child like Jacob?? lol
Also, what does Chase's family usually do in the day, does Chase also bother Minnie a bunch, like at all?? >:^)
Bobby is an only child, yep. He's used to getting all the attention.
I haven't really given the Lisong parents specific jobs, but they're very busy most days. The kids are kind of trusted to take care of themselves a lot. Chase bothers Minnie like any healthy brother/sister relationship. He has to exasperate her, it's part of his job as the elder brother.

When is Bobby Loran's and Chase Lisong's birthday Neon? Did I miss a post, or have you never mentioned their birthdays before?
I can't remember if I ever gave them specific birthdays, tbh. I'm not very good about establishing OC birthdays 😅 Maybe I'll go looking later to see if I did.

Give Chase a boy/girlfriend so that he can finally get a large fries from the McDonald's drive thru!! He deserves it!! 😔🤲🏽
Get some fries and chicken nuggets for Jacob and Bowman(just the fry though) too.
Bobby gets an apple pie with apple juice, as a treat. Just because(let him have something nice for once).
The implication that they won't let you order a large fry from McD's if you're single is really distracting me from the rest of the ask lmao.
But yeah. Chase has dated casually here and there. It never has any bearing on how many fried potatoes he orders. He tends to order a medium though because he's aware of his limits .... sometimes.
If Bowman ended up going with this trio to the drive thru, he'd be so antsy waiting to get away from the window so he wouldn't have to hide. And then after that he'd be wary about the meat orders. How dare they.
Bobby offers him a little bit of apple pie. Bowman doesn't accept on principle.
Jacob would count them all lucky Bowman doesn't get into trouble somehow. Do not go flying into that drive thru window, bud. That's no place for a sprite. Also how are they going to explain that to literally anybody? No, just hide in the car it's not that long a wait.

New year lesson go!! Can we do why our faves are problematic again?? Can you say why Bobby is problematic?
👁👄👁
Rich, straight white man - these by themselves don't mean everything but they sure have affected the way he acts in some ways. He's never really had to consider minority issues except as something that happens to other people. He's always represented, so it doesn't immediately occur to him why that's important for others.
Not to say he doesn't understand these things, though. Depending on the story, he can learn to be better about thinking outside his sheltered bubble. He is a little jerk of a teenager, but he's not like ... radicalized by default. Most people can in fact unlearn some of the thought patterns trained into them by society, and while Bobby has a lot to unpack, the suitcase isn't locked.
Specific to GT, he doesn't immediately see smol folk as equal to humans. Very problematic and something he needs to be corrected on (sometimes with a really good bop on the head).

Hey, what if Bobby was the small one for a change? How would he react around his friends?
How would he take it being so small? Would he lose some of his confidence or would it stay the same? :0
Gosh, having Bobby as the little guy would mess with him for sure. I can think of three general scenarios here:
1: He's always been small (some kind of AU in which he's borrower/sprite sized for some reason). In that case he'd assume the worst about any normal sized person he encountered, and he'd avoid them the best he could. If caught, he honestly wouldn't fight very much, if only because he'd probably just dramatically give up. What's he gonna do against someone so big? They clearly have all the power and he has none of it and yes, it stings. At least his friends would both try to reassure him that he's fine, he's being dramatic. They'll figure this out, they promise! And meanwhile, he grumps.
2: He's been reduced in size for some reason (spirit shenanigans? SPN crossover shenanigans? Other? There are many ways to shrinkydink a man). In that case he'd FREAK. He would not handle it well, and he'd try to talk a big game but it wouldn't hold up much at all (he doesn't have nearly as much bravado as he'd like everyone to think). There'd be a lot of scurrying away, attempts to warn someone off grabbing him, etc. But he'd be terrified of someone treating him like, well, the toy sized thing he is. Probably because he knows he wouldn't be very nice in the reverse scenario (he wouldn't hurt his friends, but he'd definitely give them more of a hard time than is fair).
3: He's human sized and there's a giant for whatever reason. In that case, his whole mental hierarchy is out the window. Who's in charge? Well probably not Bobby anymore, not with a ding dang giant looming over everyone! He will, again, talk a big game, but he'd be twitchy because he knows a giant could easily overrule him. He really doesn't like uncertainty, and having a giant around is definitely Unpredictable.
