Like it says in the video description, i was having a little trouble working my previous bookbombers in, on account of the tightness of some of the indoor sections. The more i think about it, tho', the flat shots are probably a better choice. The lobs were a little too wonky to figure where/when you needed to jump them, which isn't an issue on flat terrain (quite the opposite, there they were way too easy to run under), but it seemed pretty unfair on the rising pillars. Like, wiv those, players are already expected to get a slightly tricky jump wivin a time limit (because the pillars reset to starting if a player stays on them too long), having to also navigate projectiles traveling on a hard to read arc i feel like was asking too much. The plan later on is to have the turrets a bit more reactive to player position, but i figured since this is the first time seeing them, having them on a simple patrol loop makes for fewer things the player has to figure out. i still want to play a little wiv speeds and timings to make it feel a bit smoother, but the basic idea is here. i wanted to have the ghosts bob up and down a bit, because the original idea was the turrets were locked into, like, a track/frame, but it ultimately looked better to have the ghosts actually holding them up, and adding a bob to the turret itself seemed like a bit of a pain in the butt. Also, the sweat animation is set for when the ghosts are moving up and down, so i'd have to make a work-around so the bob didn't trigger them, and... on one hand small details like that do really sell a level, but on the other... i am working from a *very* limited stock of energy recently.
