Tumblr media
(a/n): partially inspired by the prompt, partially by an ask i got earlier. just....annie x brady getting more and more comfortable and slowly realizing things about this war that they didn't realize earlier. them. them them them. i need them to be the happiest they can be when this is all done :')
Ever since that first night in the Stalag that she'd crawled into the bunk with Brady, it had become a nightly thing that she'd evacuate by the time morning came, but yearned for with each passing day.
Where it was just the two of them, side by side, curled into one another's bodies, their eyes the only innocent thing held between one another in this horrid place.
Sometimes they'd talk, whispering quietly between another about random things, about some of the sad things of the world, about their lives back home that would be entirely different if they ever got out of here. Sometimes they'd just stare at each other, with what little light there was from the moon outside or the lights from the guard huts outside.
And by that point, Brady would usually thread his fingers into her somewhat tangled hair and she'd apologize for something she could hardly control and he'd whisper all the sweet things that it was fine, he just wanted to be there with her. And that usually lent to her fingertips brushing against his stubbled cheeks, her pointer finger tracing all those stress lines that popped out when it was just them, or she'd let her hands dip into his hair and brush it back in a calming motion that usually got him right to sleep.
And so by morning, when she was back in her bunk, curled in her blanket, looking across the way as people would start moving about, waking up, rubbing their eyes, yawning and stretching, she'd meet Brady's gaze from across the room and they'd share that silent look that meant more than whatever words either of them would manage to find.
It never went past that - the longing looks, the occasional forehead kiss. Maybe they were both scared to go over that line they'd drawn. That maybe if there was anything more, they'd lose it just as quick.
As Annie slid out of her bunk and crossed the small room towards where Brady was, she couldn't help but feel her heart bit a little faster just at the sight of him asleep there - his face scrunched up in a way that made her heart ache. The visible stress on his face even in his sleep made her want to pull him right into her arms and tell him over and over that everything would be okay, that they'd make it out, that she was okay beyond anything. Because he cared so much, that he stopped taking care of himself sometimes. And she always would pick up what pieces were lost and stitch them back together again and hold him in the darkness.
As she approached, she softly bit back her lip and reached out to prod him awake, which always made her feel guilty for doing such a thing, but he welcomed it and told her it was fine, despite her want to make sure he got a full nights sleep. Brady woke with a shake awake and turned to look towards her and smiled softly in the darkness.
"Hey," he whispered, before opening up the blanket, "hop in." Annie watched him for a moment, before her cheeks warmed - they always did when he looked at her like that - and she slid in beside him and let him engulf her in a mixture of his arms and blanket.
The second she felt her body pressed against his in the cocoon of blankets and warmth, her worries were stripped away, as they normally always were. She curled herself against the heat from his neck, her body begging for some sort of comfort in all of this, as he pressed a kiss against her temple, something he'd grown more akin to recently it seemed. It's not that they didn't want people to see them, it was more of the fact that they finally were back with each other and trying to keep things like they had been back at Thorpe Abbotts - friendly, maybe dancing the line of flirting but not nothing more. But here at the Stalag, they were anything but. And they both seemed to recognize that.
"You doing okay?" he whispered softly against her ear as she cuddled further into him the best she could and sighed, "That cold finally going away?" She nodded against him.
"Yeah," she whispered, "just a little bit of a stuffy nose, but can't complain. How about you?" She leaned back from him, from his warmth and smiled at him as she leaned a hand up against her head. Reaching forward, she ran her hands through his hair and watched a sense of calm wash over his form for a minute as she did so. And it did settle Annie's own nerves and worry for Brady that she constantly endured day in and day out. She always worried about him and seemed, but it was always mutual for the two of them.
"Okay," he said quietly, before the corner of his lip turned upward, "better now that you're here, I gotta admit." Her cheeks warmed and she shook her head before holding his gaze in her own.
"You're too sweet on me, John Brady." she whispered softly to him, cupping his cheek for a minute and brushing her thumb across his cheek as she grinned at him with her rosy cheeks. Brady watched her, that slightly far-off look in his eyes, a hint of a smile. He grinned.
"You deserve it, Annie," he whispered back to her, reaching up his own hand and brushing his fingers against her warm cheek and grinning, "that and you blush red like a tomato."
"You a fan of that?" she whispered back quickly with a laugh and she watched him bit his lip and smirk.
"I'd say I'm a big fan of that," he whispered back, "'specially when you look like this." Annie watched him - she could probably be covered in mud and he'd be staring at the way he currently was. And now, stuck in a Stalag camp, looking slightly malnourished and sickly, with slightly matted hair and sunken in eyes and he still looked at her like that and said things like that.
"I could say much of the same," she whispered back to him, turning her head slightly to nuzzle into his hand against her cheek, "you look cute when you blush." John Brady did in fact blush when she said that, even though she couldn't even really see much of his face in that darkness of the room. She grinned and then leaned forward and cuddled into his neck again, Brady chuckling the slightest bit as he curled into her as well.
"You're so warm." Annie whispered against his neck as the rumble from his throat echoed in her ear and made her grin like a loon, "You're like a personal blanket." That got him to chuckle quietly again as her lips danced near her ear and she could practically hear each and every breath that left his lips - a mixture of knowing he was alive and right there next to her - and even more so; knowing that all they were in that moment right now were two people dying for an ounce of comfort in this world.
"Consider me your personal blanket," he whispered back as his lips continued to ghost over her ears, "I was thinking….." Annie listened to him trail off and gulped for a moment as his breath trembled and his heart pounded.
"I'd give anything if it was me and you back at Thorpe Abbotts, just you in my A-2 jacket and nothing else." he whispered and her body grew hot - whether from his soft, husky voice in her ear or the way his hands had found their way underneath her clothes, fingertips grazing her bare back, traversing her battered and hot skin, her thoughts were suddenly in a blunder and all she could think about well was….that. Annie pulled back from her spot curled against his neck and met his gaze.
"Just your A-2?" she whispered softly, looking at him shyly from underneath her eyelashes, a small smile growing on her face as a look dawned on his features that almost seemed like he hadn't meant to let that slip from his lips, but it had, "What does that mean for you?" Brady watched her, the look in his eyes matching the touch of his fingertips on her skin and she suddenly couldn't focus on anything else but that gentle touch of his fingertips. He leaned closer and brushed his lips against her forehead again with that tender touch.
"You can have me anyway you want me." he whispered against her forehead and her eyes instinctively shut as he pressed up against her and she overwhelmed with him. His presence, his touch, the way he held her so gently and close to him, but with a level of protectiveness and care that made her know that this was safe, that she was safe, just like this.
Annie reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck, slowly running her fingers up into his hair as his head fell to the inside of her neck and he pulled her close, like a warm, tender hug that you never wanted to pull away from. Gleefully his hands raced along her bare back as she curled against him, feeling the way his hands explored underneath her coat and wooly top, dancing across her skin and making her feel things she hadn't quite felt in some time.
"Can I tell you something?" Annie whispered softly to him, rubbing slowly again through his hair as he sighed against her.
"What is it?" Annie listened to his heartbeat for a moment before blinking.
"This is the safest I've felt in years." And to even say a statement like that, in a place like this was ironic even in it of itself. She hadn't even felt the safest at home, a place that was supposed to be safe. No, no, she felt safest in the arms and embrace of someone she had only met a couple of months ago and had proved himself to be more of a home to her beyond anything.
"With me?" Annie nodded against him.
"Right here." she whispered back to him, "You and me." His grip didn't loosen, he only held her tighter and it seemed in that moment, the realization and the weight of whatever was going on between them seemed to hit. Her truth spilling from her lips quietly into his body, his grip tightening, their bodies pressed against one another in a way that should've felt foreign. Brady seemed to want to say something, she could tell, but when he stayed quiet and instead pressed another soft kiss to her forehead, she didn't question it. Because whatever they had here was okay for right now.
"I feel safe with you too, Annie." he whispered back and Annie was convinced even she wasn't so comfy, that she wasn't sure what she would've done if they'd been looking right at each other, inches apart. For now, she cuddled closer to him, enjoying his hands on her stomach and his lips near her ear, their soft breaths, mixing into deep slumber as they laid in each other's embraces until the world went quiet.

Terry Bradshaw: "It's not going to be easy" for Tom Brady in the role of Fox Sports
Terry Bradshaw thinks Tom Brady will have a challenge ahead of him. Fox Sports signed Brady to a 10-year, $375 million deal to step into their best NFL announcement stand after his retirement. Brady last week announced his retirement from the NFL after seven Super Bowl titles and 23 seasons, and on Monday he said he plans to take a year off before going into game analysis in 2024. During Fox…

Like I Can (Part 1)
Summary: After yet another bad date and tired of swiping on apps, the Dagger Squad steps in to help you out by setting you up on a series of blind dates. Much to Rooster’s dismay.
Warnings: fuff, slight angst. Minors DNI
Length: 3.2K
Pairing: Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw X Female Reader
Part 2
(We’re kicking of Valentine’s Day a bit early❣️ Enjoy!)
Tumblr media
“I’m all for growing the sport, but Brady buying an MLP team is ruining the integrity of the league. He may be the GOAT of football, but he has nothing on Ben John’s world-class pickleball game,” your date Max passionately states from his spot across from you at the Italian place he had recommended.
Or was his name Mac?
He’d already told you all about the CRBN paddle drama. At this point, you wouldn’t be surprised if he had already prepared a PowerPoint presentation on the topic complete with transitions and color-coded charts. He seems the type.
And he had yet to ask you a single question about yourself all evening.
You can tell he is gearing up for the next part of his rant, when your phone lights up on the table, the ringer on higher than you realized.
“Oh! I’m sorry, I thought I had this on silent. It’s my mom, I should probably take this,” you apologize to him, your phone already halfway raised to your ear.
“Hey, kid, how’s it going?”
“Hi Mom, I’m with someone right now. Is everything ok?” You let a little worry tinge the tone of your voice.
“Seriously?” Rooster drolly rasps on the other end of the line, “Are we actually doing this?”
“Oh no! Is she alright?” You wouldn’t consider yourself actress, but you think you’re really selling the performance with the way you widen your eyes and how you make your voice go a little tighter and higher.
“Yup, seems like we’re really doing this. What’s it this time, kid? Did grandma slip on a banana peel and then get run over by a reindeer?” You can practically feel his eyes rolling as he begrudgingly goes along with you.
“Oh my goodness, that sounds serious! How would that even happen?” you ask, shaking your head in in faux shock determined to really sell the act.
“Is everything ok?” Max-Mac whispers to you from across the table.
His profile didn’t raise any red flags when you’d swiped on him. If anything, he’d seemed a bit more of the beige flag type. Your chats had been fine, he seemed fine, so why not meet up for a date?
What you didn’t realize until it was too late was that “Sports Enthusiast” actually translated to “Pickleball Fanatic”.
“Hold on, Mom,” you hear Rooster scoff as you pull the phone away from your ear. “I’m so sorry, there’s been a family emergency. It’s my grandmother. I really need to go,” you announce to Mac-Max grabbing your purse from the back of the chair. “Thank you so much for understanding. And good luck at your pickleball tournament!” you call back to him as you hustle towards the front door.
“I take it you’ve made your escape?” You can hear the humor in his voice, your antics are nothing new to him.
“Oh my god, was that seriously only thirty minutes? He wouldn’t stop talking about pickleball, Rooster. Anytime I tried to change the subject, he found a way to circle right back to it!” You tell him as you attempt to dig your keys out from where they were buried in your bag. “And then, he pulled up the leg of his jeans and said, I kid you not: ‘Don’t worry, this isn’t an ankle monitor, I’m just wearing my ankle weights.’ Who does that?”
“Just come to the Hard Deck. You should have canceled like I told you to in the first place. Bob and Coyote got back the other day, so everyone’s here. Well, almost everyone,” he says pointedly. “We’re more fun anyways. And Hangman has been harassing me about you, something about your fluke of a win?”
You’d kicked Jake’s ass the last time you played darts with him. Although in his defense, he had been pretty drunk that night and it was a less than fair game since Phoenix would distract him while Fanboy moved your darts on the board.
You wouldn’t be challenging him to a rematch anytime soon. Not unless the odds were in your favor, it was better to keep him on his toes and his ego in check.
Thankful for the princess parking you managed to snag when you first arrived, you unlock your car and toss your bag into the passenger seat before climbing in. Breathing out a sigh of relief to be done with Mac-Max once inside.
“You back in your car yet?” Rooster asked. He was such a worrier, but you can’t say it bothered you. You liked knowing he cared.
“Yeah, just got in.”
“Ok good, see you in a few. Drive safe, kid.”
Tumblr media
Thirty minutes later Natasha was sliding a cold, frothy pint in front of you with a sympathetic look.
It wasn’t too busy at the Hard Deck yet, but it was still early in the evening. You knew it would pick up soon, and before long Penny would be ringing her bell on some rowdy unsuspecting customer.
“Ankle weights?” She asked, trying and failing to keep from laughing at your expense.
“Seriously, Rooster?” you shoot a glare in his direction, “Where’s the loyalty?”
“What? She was right there when I called you. A request that was your idea, if you remember,” he said as he walked up to you, squeezing your shoulder before sliding his arm around you in greeting. “Plus, it’s not like you don’t already tell Phoenix about all your escapades. You really know how to pick ‘em, kid.”
You’ve known Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw since before you had braces back when you were still wearing your hair in two braids. Your moms had been on the school PTA together at the time and had hit it off immediately.
He hadn’t been too happy about being forced to hang out with the kid who was couple years younger than him, especially one who was so clearly enamored with the cute older boy. While you’d outgrown that phase, for the most part, somethings stuck- like the nickname.
And over the years you’d formed your own bond outside of the forced proximity of your mothers’ friendship.
He’d taught you how to throw a punch, the different ways to pitch a baseball, and to drive a stick shift. You’d taught him how to whistle with his fingers, to play Nerts, and to tie a tie (after asking your dad to teach you).
The give and take was easy with him, you both showed up for the other.
You were there the night he drunkenly fell through the glass patio door at Jason Cameron’s homecoming party. As one of the only sober people there since he wouldn’t let you drink, or let anyone else give you alcohol for that matter, you were the one to take him to the ER. “Don’t worry, kid,” he had slurred, pressing the Washington High t-shirt that you’d found in your trunk to his face to stop the bleeding, “Looks s’worse than it feels.” And you were the one to stay with him as he was stitched up. The evidence of that night still unmistakable on his face.
He was there for you when your parents had sat you down and told you they were getting a divorce. A hurricane of angst and grief, you hadn’t left your room for anything other than school for over a week when he’d let himself in your room one afternoon. Rubbing small circles on your back as he’d let you cry for a bit, he didn’t even tease you about the stains you’d left behind on his shirt. And then he’d herded you into his crappy car and drove you to the slightly sketchy amusement park an hour away with the Tilt-A-Whirl and the giant corndogs. And when he’d told you “It’s going to be ok, kid” on the ride back home, you believed him.
You had been there for him when his mom passed, and all during that dark period after when he was set on self-destruction after his fallout with Maverick. While he had tried to push everyone away, you were always the type to hold on tightly to the people that mattered.
And then life had sent you on different directions. First when he went to college and then when you did. Next for him the Navy, and then you with your own career, both of you always in motion. You two shared a connection the way people with a long history do, the kind where you could go months without talking but knowing the other person is always right there if you need them. Your camaraderie sustained by texts, email, and the occasional FaceTime.
A long-distance friendship for over a decade.
So when your boss had approached you about a promotion that was dependent on you relocating to the West Coast, you thanked whatever kismet in the universe had you packing for San Diego where he was permanently stationed.
The break up with your boyfriend at the time was entirely too amicable considering how long you had been together. He was nice, the sex was nice, your life together was nice. You had all but signed the paperwork for your promotion when you told him, but he didn’t see himself as a west-coaster and you couldn’t envision yourself as anything but. Whether you had stayed together all that time out of convenience or complacency, you still couldn’t say.
It was easy to fall back into the comfort of your friendship with Rooster. Although the lanky teen you had known was replaced with a mustache sporting well-built man courtesy of the Navy. One that had left you feeling confusingly flustered on more than one occasion, and forced to cycle through your mental highlight reel of embarrassing teen Rooster moments to keep from your mind from wandering.
He’d helped you find your apartment, taught you about avoiding the 15 Northbound, and showed you where the best place in town to get tacos was. The transition was made easy with him by your side as he introduced you to his team members who quickly folded you into their group as one of their own.
That was a little over a year ago. You liked this new life of yours in San Diego.
And while the dating pool of men you could swipe through was much larger, well, some things never changed.
“You don’t get it, Rooster. You’re surrounded by absurdly hot Naval eye candy all day,” you complained gesturing to Natasha, she raised her beer to you as thanks in response. “While you’re getting women throwing themselves at you because of the gold wings, I’m fighting for my life on these stupid apps where all the men on there are posing with fish. It’s brutal!”
You’d need to officially call things off with Max-Mac later, thinking to yourself how glad you were that you never gave him your real number, and instead signing up for a Google voice number. You were just not cut out for the competitive pickleball lifestyle.
“Bradshaw, why don’t you set her up? It’s not like we don’t know enough people who would be better options than these fish men,” Natasha asked, like it was the most logical thing in the world, raising an eyebrow at him.
“Yeah, Bradshaw. Tell Nat your super logical reasons for leaving your longtime friend to fend for herself.” You knew where this was heading, so you took a long swig of the beer Phoenix had brought you.
“Seriously, not this again.” His arm that was around you was removed in favor for pinching the bridge of his nose and looking up to the ceiling like it would spare him from the conversation.
“You started it, now tell her.”
“I need another damn drink if we’re going to do this,” Rooster mumbled.
“Me too,” chimed Natasha, clearly reveling in his misery.
“Make that three. I need to catch up.” You hadn’t even stuck around long enough to get a drink at the restaurant, and now you were ready to let loose a bit.
He grunts out some unintelligible thing and then stalks off to the bar shaking his head.
“I’m an upstanding citizen, I pay my taxes, I make a mean peanut butter brownie, and I always drive him around when the Bronco is in the shop for a tune up. It’s literally the least he could do,” you say to Phoenix as you watch him chat with Penny as she works to grab the fresh bottles.
“Oh, so this is thing,” Natasha says decidedly when she eyes the six beers he’s carrying back to the table, three bottles held by the neck in each of his large hands. His classic Hawaiian shirt fluttering with every step, your eyes briefly drifting down to his defined waist.
“Sure is,” you confirm, drawing out the word. Downing the rest of the beer from your pint glass before reaching for one of the new bottles Rooster was divvying out amongst your trio, “I’ve never asked him for anything-”
“That is a boldfaced lie. And you know it,” he cuts in, as he hands you a granola bar from his pocket, that he must have snagged from Penny. “You definitely asked me to set you up with Kyle Cooke from my baseball team in high school. I didn’t do it then, and I’m not doing it now,” he declared, pointing at you with an accusatory finger to further drive the statement home.
“Reasons being?” Natasha wheedled, a mischievous smirk on her face. You could tell she was eating this up, there were two things Natasha Trace loved most in this world: juicy gossip and giving Rooster a hard time.
Ever the showman, he dramatically lifts up a finger, “First of all, everyone I know is an asshole.”
“I am offended on Bob’s behalf,” you countered, unwrapping the bar and taking a bite, annoyed. Hangman might fit the description, but certainly not Bob.
“Two,” he continues on, raising a second finger, and ignoring you completely as if you hadn’t just made a very valid point, “Let’s say I set you with a friend and then you end up hating them. Then you’ll judge me for being friends with them, we’ll argue, and eventually we won’t be friends anymore. Or even worse, I set you up with someone, you hit it off and date for a while. What happens when you break up? I’m left having to pick sides and walk on eggshells around you guys about the other person.”
“God, you’re such a overthinker. That all sounds totally rational, you drama queen,” you look to Phoenix for agreement, but she’s busy typing out a text message on her phone.
“And three, it’s messy as fuck. And I don’t need to hear about your trophy of a one-night stand.”
Now it’s your turn to roll your eyes, “That was one time! It wasn’t a trophy it was a gold medal.”
“Wait, what?” Confusion coloring Natasha’s features.
“One time this guy gave me one of those plastic gold medal things on a lanyard, kind of like the ones they give out at kids soccer games, after we hooked up. I mean, kicked him out right away, but I did keep the medal. It was a good confidence boost,” you shrug.  It wasn’t exactly a high point moment for you.
After that encounter you’d definitely started scrutinizing every profile a bit harder before swiping right, or at least you thought you had been. In your defense, at least Max-Mac’s profile didn’t have a fish photo, but the bar was still clearly on the ground.
“I knew you when you wore those shirts with that big mouthed monkey on them. And that’s the kind of shit I don’t need to know about. I don’t wanna be involved. Not gonna happen, kid,” his declaration resolute.
“Well, that sure is something, Bradshaw,” Natasha states, giving him a curious look.
“What are y’all over here discussing so intently,” Hangman questions as he saddles up to your little group, tucking his phone into his pocket.
“We were just getting into the finer details of the kid’s dating life and how I am going to fix it by setting her up with this great guy I know,” she pronounces, looking all too pleased with herself. A truly self-satisfied grin gracing her face.
Natasha Trace was probably the most bad ass person you’ve ever met, so the idea of her setting you up with someone had you sitting up straighter on the stool you were seated on, “Really?”
“Who?” Rooster demands, frowning at her.
“Yeah, I mean Bradshaw clearly has his convictions, and I respect that. However, I’m an excellent wing-woman. Seriously, I don’t know why I haven’t thought about introducing you guys before. You two would be perfect together.”
Hangman never one to miss an opportunity to rile up Rooster is quick to jump in, “Just because you fly in a two-seater doesn’t make you a good wing-woman, Phoenix. However, now that you mention it, I have a buddy who might knock your socks off. Unless you’d rather just knock boots, I’m sure he’d be up for whatever you wanted,” he shooting you a wink. “I think I’ll toss my name in the ring here too. After all, I’m very good.”
“You want to make it a bet, Bagman?” Her accent always got a little more pronounced when she went toe to toe with him.
“What’re you thinkin’, Darlin’?” he drawls suggestively with a sharp smile. That ever-present toothpick being rolled in his mouth from side to side.
“You guys are not going to be making bets around the kid’s love life,” Rooster snaps.
“The big dogs are talking, Bradshaw,” Hangman taunts as he waves him off.
“$50 entry? The dates happen here and at the end the kid picks which date was the best. Winner takes all?” You can see the competitive gleam in her eye.
“Alright, alright. Works for me, Phoenix. I can’t wait to take your money.”
“The hell you are,” Rooster barks, still trying to regain control of the quickly spiraling situation.
Well, this had certainly taken a turn.
You find yourself reaching for your third beer of the night.
And you’re even more surprised when Hangman hollers for the rest of the team to join, and before you know it your dating life takes centerstage as the subject of the bet between the group of competitive naval aviators. Many of the others deciding to join in, never ones to shy away from a bit of rivalry.
“What do you say? You up for it?” Natasha asks, wanting to make sure you were still on board now that her original offer had taken on a life of its own.
You look over and see Rooster looking at you like you’d be crazy to get involved in their kind of chaos. You know he can already tell what your answer will be.
“Why not?” you agree cheerily as he groans into his beer.
At least you would be spared from swiping for a while. It’s what you deserve, you are an upstanding citizen after all.

Girl Bradshaw
Summary: Bradley vs Jensen. Maybe Bradley finally comes to understand how much his actions hurt you.
Pairing(s): Jake Seresin x (fem)(bradshaw) reader
Warning(s): language, alcohol, angst, mentions of estranged family
A/n: I'm back! Thank you so much for waiting :) this chapter is a little short but the next ones will be longer :>
Part 8: Through his eyes
Tumblr media
It was Bradley’s idea that your parents kept the 'i' in your name. Brady was too similar to his name. “There can only be one Brad Brad,” was his reasoning. So, your parents went with Braidy.
Bradley was always important in your life. As kids, he played the big brother role to the fullest he could. He’d read to you when you were younger, scared off kids that were picking on you, let you wear his extra jersey during his little league games. You were his world back then. His best friend. His baby sister.
So, how could he let everything get as bad as it was? Pete’s betrayal had hurt him, and in return he had hurt you when you made it clear that you still wanted Pete in your life after he pulled Bradley's paper.
“Bradley, just talk to her,” Pete sighed, his fingers pinching the bridge between his eyes. Bradley rolled his at the older man and huffed.
“She doesn’t want to! She said so herself! She wants to talk to everyone else except me,” he grumbled. His shoulders were tense and a hand ran through his hair. The sounds of people in the background laughing and drinking did little to make him feel better. It was like within this whole world, he was the only miserable person that existed.
It didn't make him feel any better knowing you were out on a date with Jake of all people. Seriously, you could have picked anyone else, but no. You were out eating dinner, probably having a good time, with Jake. Their relationship had definitely improved since the uranium mission, but sill. You were Bradley's sister and he wanted Jake nowhere near you. Bradley's known Jake long enough to know his ways with women.
The familiar sounds of laughter caught his attention as he and Pete turned around to see the rest of the ghost team walk into the Gunny. Sighing softly, Pete gave him a gentle pat on the back as he started making his way towards Nolan.
"Zack!" Jensen's loud, cheery voice caught Bradley's attention as he glared at the man. Your close relationship with the man brought him nothing but envy as he chugged the rest of his beer. He could feel the alcohol running through his body, and a small part of him told him to stay in his seat. The same part told him that if he were to do what he was thinking, then there was no way in hell your relationship would improve. Biting his lip, Bradley let a deep sigh before he was startled by Jensen's voice. "Hey. Bradley, right?"
'Shit.'
"Yeah. Uh–Kay, right?" Jensen nodded his head and stuck his hand out as Bradley took it. His eyes shifted towards Bradley's empty beer and gave him a stiff smile.
"Jensen's fine. We're not at work. You mind if I ask you a couple questions about your buddy, Jake?" Bradley could feel his chest tightened and nodded. Jensen sat next to him and took a quick sip of his drink. "Is he a good guy? I don't mean any disrespect. I'm just looking out for (y/n)."
Bradley's eyebrows furrowed at the use of your middle name. Hearing people call you anything besides the name he choose, filled him with bitterness. His tongue ran over his lips as his fists tightened. "Hangman's alright, I guess."
"You guess?" Jensen asked, leaning forward, his eyes starting to fill with worry.
Bradley shrugged at his words, "I mean, he's better than he used to be."
"Would you let him go out with (y/n)?"
"I trust him with my life."
"But, do you trust him with (y/n)?"
"Her fucking name is Braidy," Bradley scoffed. Jensen clicked his tongue and let out a breathy chuckle.
"Right. Look, I don't want any fucking problems, but if you want to be ass, then fine. I just wanted to know if Jake's a good guy because (y/n) doesn't need more baggage from you." Rising from his seat, Bradley towered over Jensen as he glared.
"The fuck does that mean?"
"You know exactly what it means," Jensen paused to rise to his feet as well. He only stood two inches taller than Bradley. "Where were you when she was on in the hospital? She was in a fucking coma for three weeks and you never showed. Not only that, but you're stationed 45 minutes away and never bothered to visit."
"Jensen! Enough!" Amy's voice cut in as she took a hold of Jensen's arm. His eyes never left Bradley and only scoffed as he felt Ethan place a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't make trouble for her," Ethan spoke from beside him and Jensen let out a huff. Letting Amy drag him away towards their table, Jensen could feel the weight of Bradley's glare.
Shifting his gaze from Jensen to Ethan, Bradley just sighed. Ethan bit his lip and sat down in Jensen's seat. Swallowing, Bradley lowered into his own seat and intertwined his fingers. "Jensen means well. He's just protective of (y/n)."
"Will everyone stop fucking calling her that? It's not her name. Braidy. That's her name."
"She doesn't want people calling her that because it reminds her of you." Bradley's eyes widened as he turned to look at Ethan. Sighing, Ethan's rested his cheek in the palm of his hand. "Braidy's the name she had when she was your sister."
"She still is my sister," Bradley seethed, his anger intensifying at Ethan's words.
"She doesn't see it that way. To her, you're the dickhead that hurt her. The guy who turned his back on her. You were her only family, and you chose to leave."
Silence followed as Bradley let Ethan's words sink in. It's not like it's the first time he's heard someone tell him that he turned his back on you. When he told Natasha everything, she threatened to rip his head off. But, hearing it from someone close to you, just felt different. To you, Bradley had done the unforgivable and turned his back on you. He had left you alone after the two of you lost all your parents. He finally understood your desire to not be called Braidy was because it simply remind you of the worst event that happened to you–him.
Braidy was a version of you that lost all of her family. Her parents dead, the man who was like her dad gone, and her brother accusing her of betrayal. Meanwhile, (y/n) was successful. She had found her family and was doing something she loved. She was living her best life in Oceanside.
"How do I fix it?" Ethan smiled and pat Bradley on the back.
"You've got to figure that out yourself, bud. Afterall, you said she's your sister. You know her in a way we don't."

Honey, I'm home!
Tumblr media
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x wife!reader
THIS FIC IS 18+! MINORS DNI!
Synopsis: You've been missing your husband while he's out on deployment. Much to your surprise he comes home early. Much to his surprise he catches you in the act.
Warnings: smut, daddy kink, choking, daddy kink, use of toys.
This is just a little smut drabble to help the Sunday scaries ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Six long months Bradley had been on that godforsaken carrier somewhere in the ocean. It wasn’t the first time in your relationship he’d been gone on a deployment, but this had definitely been the longest one. And of course it had come only a month after the two of you had tied the knot. You loved being Mrs. Bradshaw and you loved your husband. Which was why you stayed as strong as you could during his deployments. Bradley loved what he did, it was part of who he was and you’d fallen in love with every aspect of him. That didn’t mean it was any less hard on you when he was away.
Brady was due to come home in just two days and you’d try to hold out on giving yourself relief. Truly you had intended on holding it together long enough, but then your mind had started to wander while you were folding laundry earlier. Remembering the time Bradley had come home so insatiable that he couldn’t wait and took you on the dryer that was a little off balance. And from there your mind continued to wander.
So much so that you’d abandoned the half folded laundry and found yourself lying on his side of the bed.
Bradley had told you he was coming home later than he was so he could surprise you. He hated lying to you, even if it was such a little lie it still made him feel a little sick. He knew seeing the surprise on your face would make it worth it. You’d been so lost in what you were doing that you hadn’t even heard him come into the house, your bedroom filled with the sound of your moans and vibrator.
When he first heard you moan, Brad was a bit nervous. His stomach sank thinking he’d been the victim of military wife infidelity, but then he heard buzzing and he just knew. And he found you; on his side of the bed, your tank top bunched around the middle of your torso, one hand toying with your pebbled areolas while the other one held your vibrator. The toy circling your clit and then dipping into your cunt. You were still so caught up in what you were doing that you didn’t notice him by the door.
Brad pulled his bottom lip between his teeth and softly set his bag down. He’d started to palm himself through his khakis. He was mesmerized by what was going on in front of him, but as much as he wanted to be the one giving you that pleasure he was enjoying watching just as much. It wasn’t until you breathlessly moaned out his name that he finally pulled his cock out. The grunt he let out alerted you to the presence of someone in your room and you jumped, not knowing who it was. Your eyes went wide, the vibrator had been dropped and was buzzing against the comforter.
“Bradley!” Why was he home so early? Or were you just having some sort of pleasure induced hallucination?
“Hi baby, don’t stop what you were doing,” He nodded towards the abandoned vibrator on the bed, his eyebrows raising as if he was daring you to disobey him. Your eyes looked down to where his hand was, holding his cock steady, precum glistening on the tip. Nodding slowly you picked the toy back up and continued what you were doing, this time your eyes staying open so you could watch him. “Fuck…” He huffed out, pushing off from his position against the door frame. It was only a few strides before he was sitting at the foot of your bed, cock still in his hand.
Your head tipped back as you felt yourself nearing orgasm. “Daddy,” you whined out. Your head tilted back forwards so you could look at him again. A silent plea in your eyes begging for him to touch you, but he just shook his head.
“Be a good girl, make yourself cum for daddy.” His tone was serious, despite the fact that you could see the mushroom top starting to turn red from arousal. You turned the speed on the toy up and then dipped two of your fingers into your dripping sex, moaning out as you brushed them against the spongy spot inside of you. A few more strokes and you were cumming around your fingers.
Bradley’s hand landed on your thigh, brushing against it softly as you rode out your orgasm. When you felt like you were back in semi control of your body you grinned at him, bringing your cum soaked fingers up to your mouth and sucking them in. You hummed around the digits and that must have been all he needed to be set off.
His hand moved from your thigh down to your ankle, yanking you down so you were no longer propped against the headboard. Bradley, now naked from the waist down, didn’t waste time sheathing himself inside of you. The fingers that had busied themselves undoing the buttons on his khaki top could no longer function when you felt him bottom out inside of you.
“Oh fuck,” the words came out in a high pitched whine and Bradley chuckled on top of you. After what felt like forever you finally got his top off. Your nails ran down his abdomen and you grinned when he shivered.
Bradley finally started thrusting, but it was so slow and you needed more. “Daddy, please…harder.” You whined again, your hips bucking up to try and get more friction. One of his hands gripped your hip, pinning you down to the mattress to keep you from moving.
“Baby girl waited eight months, what’s a little bit longer, hm?” He was taunting you now. Bradley was going to drag this out and as much as you hated the idea you also loved it. Each thrust hit just where you needed it, but the slow pace was agonizing and you started to squirm. His other hand came up and gripped your chin, forcing you to look at him. “Stop squirming or I won’t let you cum.” The smallest whimper pushed through your lips but you just nodded, doing as he said.
Bradley had always been dominant, but in the softest way. He never went too hard, unless you specifically asked for it. And he was always more than happy to let you take control on the days you really needed it. Letting you set the pace and mood. And he knew your body better than you did, he knew just how to touch you, what buttons to push to bring you to blinding pleasure each and every time. He was more than you could have ever hoped for in and out of the bedroom.
“Good girl,” he purred, running his nose along your cheek. His head then dipped down and the tip of his nose traced around the pebbled nipple on one of your breasts before he took it in his mouth. The addition of the pleasure had your back arching and your hips lifting as he continued his languid thrusts.
You felt his hand leave your jaw and then suddenly you felt the vibrator come into contact with your clit. The feeling caused you to cry out, your fists gripped the sheets beneath you. Bradley sat up, he pushed his knees under your hips, angling your body as his thrust picked up. “Daddy!” You could feel your pussy clenching around him, both of your guys’ thighs becoming sticky with your slick. When he found the right pace his hand came up to squeeze your neck and your eyes rolled back into your head. “So close…” you whimpered, your body started to thrash as the impending orgasm built.
“That’s it baby girl,” Bradley huffed out, knowing his own orgasm would be hitting soon. “Let go, daddy’s got you.” He squeezed a little harder around your neck and that was the final push that sent you reeling into the hardest climax you’d had since he’d been gone. You started seeing spots as the pleasure wracked through your body. Bradley tossed the vibrator, not caring to shut it off. His large hands gripped your hips and he pulled your body onto his cock, roughly thrusting until he came with a grunt. Painting your walls with his cum.
It took both of you a few minutes of panting to come back to reality, your bodies now covered in a sticky sheen of sweat. Your eyes met his and your lips curved up into a smile as you started to giggle. Brad joined you in laughter shortly after, collapsing on the bed next to you.
“Honey, I’m home!”

Tumblr media
(a/n): had a much longer version that this but….did not feel ready for that so, i shortened it up and made it work a bit more with the prompt and i liked how it came out so :) it is shorter than some of my other writings, but i hope to expand on it more in future postings haha! please enjoy!!
Annie slowly slid out of her bunk and moved through the tiny room towards Brady's bunk and got a look at his face, immediately shrinking a bit at the sight of him looking so safe, small and youthful in his sleep, reminding her of that last time they'd found each other side by side, the unknowing between the two of them, one of their last conversations face to face. And now….he was right there.
Annie reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder and gave it a small shake. In almost an instant, he awoke and turned to her in the darkness and immediately reached towards her like he always used to do and grasped her arm. Always reaching.
"Hey, everything okay?" he whispered quietly, his voice a pin-drop in the dark.
"I can't get myself warm." she whispered back, the frustration behind her voice, flogged with a bit more emotion than she was going for and he immediately moved over the best he could in the cot and lifted his blanket up.
"Hop in." he whispered, a small smile on his face. Annie immediately sat on the edge and pulled herself into the bunk, wrapped in her own blanket and turned on her side, immediately becoming engulfed in Brady's chest, his bit of warmth and him. He let the rest of the blanket fall around her form and then he immediately wrapped his arm around her, pulling her shivering form to his own side, arm rubbing up and down, a bit of friction on her clothes, from him. Annie snuggled her head into his neck, where it seemed to be the warmest and let out a small sigh of relief at the bit of warmth that was finally entering her body.
"Better?" Brady whispered, warm breath tickling her neck, and she smiled and nestled closer and nodded.
"Much." she whispered, "Thank you." He smiled, and she shifted a bit, cuddling deeper, and then sighed at the immense amount of comfort that she hadn't felt in days, finally encircling her. Slowly, she brought up a hand out of the warmth of the blanket, and brought it to the side of his face, gently brushing her thumb over the bit of stubble on his cheek, the pleasant feel of him just right there, was comforting in it of itself. It was all she needed.
"So," Brady whispered, his voice somewhere next to her ear, "I never asked, after you were captured - what happened?" Annie shifted a bit and sat up, away from the warmth of his neck, and instead staring down at him, her thumb brushing his cheek, head resting on her hand, staring at those twinkling eyes.
"I was out of it for the most part," Annie whispered back, reaching up to brush some of his strands of hair from his face behind his ear, over and over, watching the sleepiness roll into his eyes, "between the knock to my head and the knee, the lack of food and water….I don't remember much aside from well…..the questioning. The staring." She met his gaze, watching quietly as he let his eyes linger over her face.
"What'd they ask you?" he whispered, his voice so low, all she really saw was his moving lips in the bleary darkness.
"Questions about everything. The 100th. About Birdie; newspaper clippings and such. About Buck and Bucky, about the Regensberg mission - my name was in the paper. Asked about home." Annie managed out, her eyes hardly leaving his own, "I didn't tell them anything. I told them my name, my number, my unit. That's it." Brady watched her and slowly brought up his free hand and brushed it against the bottom of her lip, lingering over the few scabs under her chin from the few scuffles with Germans and falls and punches.
"You?" she whispered back.
"The same." he whispered, "Lot of questions about the 100th - Buck especially. A few about you." She stared at him.
"I didn't let on a thing, though," he whispered, "I'd rather die than give away info about any one of us."
For a moment, they just stared at each other in a way that was far more intimate than anything else in the past few days, enough where her heart raced, and she suddenly felt consumed by his ever-present gaze on her own.
"Did they do anything to you?" he whispered, his thumb brushing her cheek again as her hands continued to prod his hair, "I swear to-", he looked at her, "Annie, if they laid a finger-"
"No, they didn't, not like that," she whispered, hand shaking against his face, "just shoves, a few…punches-"
"Punches?" Brady whispered, "Annie I-"
"John." she whispered, louder than she had wanted and quieted herself, shaking her head, "I'm fine, look-" her hand cupped his cheek, "I'm right here." He stared at her so longingly her stomach hurt, that yearning, that want, that desperate, reaching nature lingering between them.
"I know." Brady whispered, his hand grazing her neckline which was layered in blankets and clothing, "Just….if I ever see them doing anything, I'm jumpi-"
"John," Annie whispered, her voice soft as cream, "you don't have to do any of that now. It's just you and me. Right here." She reached out and took one of his hands, placing it on her chest where her heart was, hidden under skin and bone and overcoats. Brady watched her, like some sort of miracle and believed her. He let out a breath and swallowed.
Watching each other in their current circumstances was an art in it of itself - their hesitant, lingering gazes, the touches on one another's faces, the way her eyes evaded his, but always came back, their bodies so close, pressed against one another, but still distant.
Watching Brady now, he looked beyond exhausted, more than he ever did back at Thorpe Abbotts, and the more she continued that same, calming motion of brushing his strands of hair back, sometimes to settle behind his ear and sometimes to not, she watched his eyes grow more tired.
And in a sense, she got the idea it reminded him of when he was a child, when there was no war and his Ma probably tucked him in at night and brushed his hair gently until his eyes closed. And now, he was halfway across the world, in a P.O.W. camp.
"You need rest," she whispered softly, watching as he leaned a bit more into her touch as her fingers graced over his cheek, his eyes fighting to close, fighting the sleep, "it's okay." He watched her through half-open eyes and brought a hand to her neckline and watched her.
"I'm glad I found you again, Annie." he whispered, "I don't know what I'd do if I knew you'd gone down and didn't end up here." Annie stared at him, her world stilling around her and she couldn't help but lean forward and press a soft kiss to his forehead, before pulling back and cupping his cheek.
"Get some rest, okay?" she whispered, "I'll be right here." Brady watched her again and then nodded, that small smile on his face failing to disappear, as his eyes slides shut and his body finally seemed to relax.
You couldn't do that much here, you were always on guard, waiting for the next sound of explosions, or someone in the hallway, yelling, screaming.
Yet, here, he finally seemed to let go of all of that and sleep.
And until his breathing became deep and slow, she sat up, running a hand through his hair and letting him feel at home for once.
Even if that home was nowhere near here.
Even if home was this, right here.

Heart Rate Part 2- Bradley Bradshaw
Tumblr media
It took Bradley until the next day to get up the courage to text you.
Unknown Number: Hey, this is Bradley. The aviator you did the evaluation on yesterday? I was wondering if maybe I could bring you lunch today? I have a few weeks off after our last mission.
You smiled to yourself when you read the message, hoping he would text you soon.
Y/N: Hey Bradley! I’m glad you saw my note..yes, you can bring me lunch if you’d like, unless you like hospital food?
Bradley: Okay, there’s a good burger place a few blocks from the hospital. I’ll stop by there on my way.
Y/N: Sounds great! See you at.. 12:15? I’ll try to be on tie but I can never promise I’ll be on time.
Bradley: I understand. You do what you need to, save lives and such. See you at 12:15.
Bradley got in the shower, go himself ready and called Maverick to see what he should wear.
——
I tucked my phone back in my pocket and continued my charted until Dr. Brady approached me. “So… the aviator from yesterday… did he finally make a move?” I smiled and looked down at my keyboard again, biting my lip. “I’ll take that as a yes?” I looked at her and nodded my head. “He’s actually bringing me lunch today from that burger place down the street.” She smiles at me. “Hmm.. why don’t you take a long lunch today. Take an hour and not thirty minutes. That way you guys have time to talk. I’ll page you if it’s urgent.” Dr. Brady killed over Katie, my coworker, “would you cover Y/N so she can take a long lunch?” Katie smirked, “sure, hot date?” I nod and she waves me off. “Absolutely, I want all the details after though”, she winks before heading to her patient’s room. When the clock hit 12:10, I was on my way to the locker room to grab my sweater and fix my hair when my pager went off. I made my way to the room of the patient that paged me, but first I told Bradley I may be a few minutes late. He said it’s okay and he’d wait in the lobby. After close to ten minutes, I made my way out of the room and washed my hands and let them know I was leaving. I made my way to the lobby, seeing Bradley sitting there with the bag of food and scrolling on his phone. I walked to him, tapping him on the shoulder. “Hey Bradley, sorry I was late. Ready to eat?” He nodded and stood, following me out to the outdoor dining area. “Is this okay? It’s quieter out here so I thought it would be better to get to know each other.” He smiled at me, “Sounds perfect. How long is your lunch? That way you can get back on time.” I smirk at him, “an hour. The doctor that saw you the other day? She’s pretty invested in this and gave me a long lunch.” His head snapped up at that, smirking. “Oh, talking about me, huh?” I giggle, feeling my face flush as I unwrap my burger and nod. “Maybe.. but just because I was excited to see you again.” Now it was his turn to blush. “Well, I’m glad. So, what made you want to be a nurse?” We spent the whole time discussing and getting to know each other. Bradley was telling me stories about his time at Top Gun and all of his friends here. “So, does that mean you move around a lot then?” I ask shyly, eating a French fry and hoping against hope that he doesn’t move around. He clears his throat and swallows, “well, it’s not confirmed yet, but I got offered to teach here at Top Gun next year so I may be staying. After our challenge, they kind of gave us a choice. So even if I don’t teach, I have the option to stay here.” I nod at him in understanding. “Why? Want me to stick around?” He smirks at me. “Maybe. We will see what happens from here.” My timer went off says that we had about ten minutes left of our date.
“Want me to.. walk you out?” I looked him in the eye and hope he catches watch I’m trying to do. He must have, because he gathered our trash and stuck his hand out for me to grab. I grabbed it, lifting myself from my seat as we walked hand in hand out the front door. He led me to a blue vintage Bronco. “Oh my god.. I LOVE you Bronco! It’s literally in my favorite color.” Bradley smiled. “It was my dads and I’ve just always kept it. I’m glad you like it.” I smiled, leaning back against the drivers door as we swung our hands between us. Bradley stepped closer, lifting my chin to look him in the eyes. “Can I..kiss you?” I nod, wrapping my arms around his neck as he leans closer. When our lips finally met, a fire lit inside of me. I had never had this kind of connection with anyone on a first kiss. He was an incredible kisser, his plush lips against mine and his mustache tickling my top lip. He licked against my bottom lip and I opened them, letting his tongue into my mouth. I loved the taste of him on my tongue. I gripped the back of his neck, pulling him as close as possible to me, until he had me practically pinned against the door. We pulled away and he smiled down at me, brushing a thumb over my cheek as he looked me in the eyes. “You are seriously incredible. Would you maybe be okay with a second date?” I smiled up at him nodding with an enthusiastic, “I would love that.” He leaned down to kiss me again when my pager beeped. “Shit, I’m sorry Bradley. I have to get back. I’ll text you when I’m off work?” He just nods and gives you a quick kiss on the cheek before you make your way inside. Bradley smiles to himself before getting in his Bronco. He couldn’t wait to tell the Daggers about you.

Anytime you mention Head Coach Bradshaw or anytime I think abt her, it's always with Endgame mentally in the background 😂😂 like the "big reputation" lollll because of her family
Lmaoooooo she really is “you heard about me” question is who gets to be her match for it 😆 also can you imagine someone trying to date her and knowing you’re dating into THAT. Like dating a Kennedy of the football world
Also she needs a name. Idk. Sutton? Brady cuz Jake thinks that’s hilarious. Scout (maybe that’s her nickname.) Elle? Hmmmm
WAIT maybe she dates Bob and Nat’s kid (who is shy and quiet and she’s loud and impulsive and it’s actually a super cute match)
